Today’s episode is an interview with David, who grew up in the southern Church or Christ and left the faith later in life.

We talk about what is was like growing up in a southern fundamentalist church, about having doubts as a kid, but not knowing how to express them, about a conversation with a coworker that completely changed his life, and about how common sense has to be a higher moral standard than any religious book. We wrap things up by discussing the difficulties in dealing with bitterness on the other side.
