Luke Ch. 5
Jesus is operating with the power of the Lord. The sick are healed, and the people are amazed. Follow me!

Jesus is operating with the power of the Lord. The sick are healed, and the people are amazed. Follow me!
Jesus is filled with the Holy Spirit, and is lead to the Wilderness, where He fasts for 40 days, and is tempted by the devil in every which way. After overcoming the devil, He returns to town, in the power of the Holy Spirit. His ministry begins with teaching, casting out demons, and healing the sick. Be quiet! My time has not yet come.
Luke gives us the lineage of Jesus' earthly father, Joseph, and goes all the way back to Adam! Also, John the Baptist, baptizes Jesus...let the show begin. We must fulfill all righteousness.
A Savior is born, as promised by the prophets, and the Angels. And the child grew in wisdom... Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, the Prince of Peace.
Welcome to the Gospel According to Luke. This first chapter speaks on the promises of God coming to pass, and we are introduced to the birth of Jesus’ forerunner..His cousin John the Baptist. My soul doth magnify the Lord
The conclusion. Jesus rises from death on the first day of the following week. He appears to His disciples, and commands them to spread the Gospel to all the nations. He helped them, gave them power, and proved that their message was true. And He will return yet again.
Jesus dies... It is finished.
Jesus shares the "Last Supper" or the "Lord's Supper" with His disciples and breaks the bread and wine with them. Then He is arrested, and tried before the Jewish authorities and found guilty. The mock Him, and beat Him. Judas had betrayed Him. He was oppressed and He was afflicted, Yet He opened not His mouth; He was led as a lamb to the slaughter, And as a sheep before its shearers is silent, So He opened not His mouth.
Jesus tells us of the future. No one knows the exact day and time of Jesus return, except the Father in Heaven. So be ready, and stay ready. Heaven and Earth will pass, but His Word will remain.
Jesus is always ready to discuss and defend the Kingdom. To the point, no one wanted to argue with Him anymore, or try to trick Him with questions. His wisdom is unshakable. Didn't you know, that He must be about His Father's business?
Just as the first caption says...Jesus enters Jerusalem...like a KING! He is praised by the people. Unfortunately, Jesus has to deal with slothful servants misusing the Temple. and supposed Jewish leaders questioning Jesus' authority. Have faith in God.
Jesus reveals the hardness of the hearts of the Pharisees. Later He tells His disciples again of His death. Lastly, He ends with another miracle. Glory to God
Jesus is transfigured. He then continues to speak on His forthcoming death, His disciples don't quite get it. Jesus also clarifies what it means to be the "greatest". The Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve all.
Jesus feeds 4000, then He tells the people how this story will end. Peter also declares...that Jesus IS the Messiah. Jesus says "don't tell anyone" Believe ye the Good News??
Jesus gives us insight on the true heart of God, and what is really important. He tells us the things that make us unacceptable in the sight of God…contrary to what the Jewish leaders were teaching back then. He also casts out some demons and heals some people…the usual! But don’t tell nobody! They told everyone :)
Another busy chapter for Jesus. He gets rejected essentially, from His hometown, He sends out His disciples on a mission and gives them authority over demons, He feeds 5000 men with just 5 loaves of bread and two fish, He walks on water, and then heals another large crowd of people, all who were sick among them. Come as you are.
Jesus is putting in WORK...for the Kingdom. In this chapter He casts a "Legion" of demons out of a man, then heals a woman who had an issue of blood for 12 years, then raises a little girl from dead. Just another day at the office. Don't be afraid, only believe.
Jesus teaches about the Kingdom of Heaven...using only parables (stories). May the seed of the Word of God, call on good soil
Jesus has many followers, for many reasons. Some think He is crazy, some think He has a demon in Him, some just want to be healed, and some want to kill Him. And yet some, believe He is the Messiah, and are chosen as His 12 Apostles. Believe the Good News
A crippled man is carried by his 4 companions through a massive crowd, up onto the roof of the house Jesus was preaching in, then lowered down to him through the hole they cut in the roof. Jesus, because of this great display of faith, forgave this man of his sins, and healed him. The man walked out, to the amazement of the people. Also, Jesus acquires a new follower, Levi (Matthew), the tax collector, and invites Himself to his house for dinner. Your faith will make you whole....
God bless family! Let's dive into another Gospel, the Gospel According to Mark! Chapter one is JAM PACKED, Jesus begins His ministry, casts out demons, heals a man with leprosy, and His fame is spreading quickly! Excited to share this Gospel with you. Repent! The Kingdom of Heaven is at hand
That's it my friends, The Gospel According to John. These things were written that we might believe. If John had written of all the miracles that Jesus had done, all the libraries in the world would not be able to contain them. Be doers of the Word, and not just hearers.
The stone was removed, the body was missing, the tomb was empty.....He has risen! Blessed are those who believe and have not seen.
Governor Pilate tries to release Jesus, but the Jewish people and leaders would not have it, and the popular decision was made. Jesus was condemned to the cross. It would appear, the Jewish religious leaders got what they wanted... He is the resurrection and the life.
The hour has come. Jesus is arrested, and put to trial. The Governor finds no fault in Him, and even tries to pardon Him, but the Jewish people want Him dead. Peter also cuts off a man's ear, and denies Jesus three times!! But, he'll make up for it.... in Jesus name
Jesus prays, intensely and intimately to the Father, for His followers, and future followers. Jesus shares His heart, and the heart of the Father Love God, Love Neighbor.
Jesus speaks of certain troubles, but encourages us to keep our faith, and to be brave. And even better, He leaves us with a helper...actually Thee Helper. The Holy Spirit. Father, Son, Holy Spirit
Jesus continues to introduce us to the Holy Spirit, and further commands us, to love one another. Be of good cheer...
A verse that I believe is the most important verse of the Bible. John 14:6 Jesus says "I AM the Way, the Truth, and the Life, no one comes to the Father except through Me". All authority in Heaven and Earth has been given to Jesus.
Jesus reveals to His disciples, that the greatest among them shall be their servant, and teaches/commands them to love one another as He has loved them. Also, Jesus reveals who His betrayer will be. His time is coming.
