posting right now. So many will be with us uh momentarily here in the studio and UH, we'll look forward to that. And of course, if you're just tuning in to guessing lines for the first time, this is a tribute to the old Start US show back in the day with Roxy Roxborough. UH. And in the process of guessing week sixteen lines, we'll also of course talk about everything that happened in week fifteen in the National Football League.

Just had a chat with Pauli and Mitch about sort of first impressions, and we'll talk about all those things that the show goes on. In case you missed that, Uh, David Perdam doing a fine job, um reporting some of the biggest bets this past weekend regarding the National Football League, and boy did MGM make hay. MGM took some of the biggest bets that ended up going their way. Uh took a five hundred thousand dollar money line bet on the Seahawks to beat the forty nine ers straight up,

accorded to David Perdham, MGM did here well. Uh aven also um describing he was also in Pittsburgh, by the way, that new legal sports book that opened up within walking distance at the Steelers Pats game. But as far as

the bets, Patrick Everson of Covers. He mentioned that an MGM better came in bet a hundred and eighty kale on the Rams money line last night to win twenty thousand and MGM in Atlantic City at Borgata took a one hundred and fifteen thousand dollar wager on the first half over twenty six and the Eagles Rams game that ends up pushing, So no harm, no foul on that one. So MGM making hay on those two big bets, the one on the Seahawks one on the Rams. Those didn't

go the Better's way. How was your weekend, man, It's a good weekend betting wise. I didn't do a whole lot of betting. I'll played some poker. Did you have that it was? It was a decent weekend of poker. I came out ahead, not by a whole lot, but come out of head. It's better than losing, uh it is. It is better than losing. Saturday was a was a windfall for me on college football that went very well. Yesterday looked to be very good as well until the

Rams and the Eagles happened. Let's put that in contest real quick and we'll get to these games again. As we guess week sixteen lines, but just to put some contexts into the eagles outright win over the Rams last night, they went at thirty to twenty three. Warren Sharp tweeting this last night, the Eagles just the second team in the last thirty years to be a dog of over thirteen points and hold a seventeen plus point lead entering the fourth quarter. Uh Philly was up thirty to thirteen

through three quarters. Here's another one that he put up. The Eagles are just the eighth team in the last thirty years to win as a road dog of over thirteen points versus a team with a eight hundred plus win rate from Week five onward. Parts that one out nicely, Rams eleven, we're eleven to eighty four point six percent,

so that the Eagles qualify there. And then Mark Lawrence, who's on with Mitch and PAULI very often hate, tweeted that the fourteen point underdog Eagles did they get to fourteen? That wasn't as news to me, but I guess they may might have touched that in some places. The fourteen point underdog Eagles are taking more points from the Rams last night than any defending Super Bowl champion has since. Previous high was San Francisco was a thirteen and a

half point underdog against Dallas. Niners ended up winning that game, much like the Eagles won the game last night. So just an amazing outcome last night after a day where it was awfully Uh, it was awful. It was really about the home teams yesterday, up and down the schedule, only the Redskins, Titans, and then Eagles win on the road. And this gets back to my biggest thing with the NFL right now, and I just mentioned it with Mission Paul. This is the biggest thing to me because we talked

about it in baseball all the time. Home road splits were very comfortable with it. In baseball. We talked about pictures and how they how they performed differently in their home ballparks versus elsewhere. Sometimes it's by the way to the good at home. Sometimes it's to the bad, depending on their skill set and the dimensions and the characteristics of that ballpark. And if you say, well, we always know that home teams, they team to play better at home by and large than they do on the road.

Not like this year Patriots six and oh at home, three and five on the road. And we'll put that three in five in context. Coming up for the Patriots, Dolphins now six and one at home, one in six on the road. Just up and down the list, there's these just stark differences. Cowboys six and one at home, two and five on the road, Bears seven and one at home, three and three on the road, Packers five, one and one at home, oh and seven straight up

on the road. Panthers, we'll see what happens tonight home game for them, five and one at home, one and six on the road. Even the Niners four and three at home, oh and seven on the road. Even the Bucks four and three at home, one and six on the road. And so I guess what I'm saying is, again, when we're doing handicapping, we fill up all these hours of content talking about all different kinds of things, But really every game should start with the topic sentence, who's

playing at home? It's that simple. Sometimes in the NFL this year it's massively simple like that. And we saw that play out again yesterday. Vinny is here for week sixteen. Good morning to you, sir, Hello, kil how are you. What do you say, buddy? Uh say? I'll tell you what I say. You know my three outrage games were last week. Let's arkhim back to last guessing lines. The three games I was outraged by, outraged, outraged, not like

PAULI level outrage, but like Gil level outrage. Cleveland plus three because you know he he does outrage well for three hours. He's good. He's good at out good at outrage. I say that with respect. Uh, Cleveland plus three and a half was what it was last sat. When we talked about that Saturday game. In this past Monday, you said it was Cleveland three and a half and I was like, that's ridiculous, and you said, grab the hook,

grab it now, Gil. Then you're right. Cleveland ended up being just a one and a half point dog in the end and wanted out right seventy to sixty. And we'll talk about this game in death coming up. So I was outraged about that, and I was right to be outraged. I was also right to be outraged about the fact that we didn't have a line for the Steelers and Patriots. And I said the Steelers should be favored, and you said, don't be surprised that the Patriots of favor,

and the Patriots were open at one. Got all the way to two and a half. There were some threes briefly and some Steelers end up winning it by a touchdown seventeen to ten. So correct I was to be outraged by those two? You know which one I was not correct to be outraged by, as it turns out, the Dolphins, who at the time of guessing lines last week I couldn't believe they were more than a touchdown

of a dog. At least they made the Vikings have to win this game twice, because the Vikings stormed out to a twenty one and nothing lead, and I was like, boy, was I wrong about this? Then it was one to seventeen. I'm like to see you have what a genius I am? And it was forty one to seventeen again, so that one, that one didn't play. The Dolphins terrible on the road, as I just mentioned, but at least I thought they would cover that. So right on two of those I

I'll tell you what I did yesterday. First of all, Saturday was the greatest betting day I've ever had in my entire existence on Earth. So then I came into Sunday, and Sunday was was really really good. Also in the morning, Colts. Um Colts was good. Um Titans was good. Vikings on a tease was good. It was all over the place. Everything was working out again. Steelers was great in the afternoon and I was like, Wow, oh my god, this it's gonna can And then I had the rams and

the teeth that didn't work. What's your takeaway from that game? We're just talking about this earlier that that that there's no great team in the NFL this year. There's no team without the Laws and Jared Golf and I listen, I've I've said it now for a couple of weeks with him. He melted in in what was not even that cold of a weather in Chicago. Looked like he didn't want to be there. From the beginning. I was like, dude, it's not like thirty below. Actinks defense was more of

a factor than the weather. It was. It was a factor for sure. In fact, I think the Bears defense was such a factor that you still beat up yesterday. I used to explain that he's still beat up yesterday. He was. I think Golf was still feeling the effects of you. Yeah, I do. I would like to see him care. I would like to see some passion. There's not another quarterback in this league. Let me let me

not say that there's not one of any repete. Yeah, Joe Flacco, right, the Joe Flacco face, he's the only other one, like his apathetic face. But Jared God, show me like, show me you care at least like that bothers me. But the Rams were beyond Jared go. If they were poorly coached last night, They're not getting out of bounds every did on consecutive drives. Again, I mentioned Todd Gurley did. Todd Gurley took responsibility for it afterwards.

That's coaching. Game management was very bad. It's interesting to considering golf's going out of bounds in earlier games this season that uh, or laying down time yeah, or going to the ground yeah. Uh but for sure, Gil, Yeah, it's uh. And the Eagles are legit in it. That's the other take. Well, yeah, they're they're alive now, right, and there's there's a big game between them and uh, the Texans next next week, which we'll get to. So

I do think you have that? You have to ask yourself. Also, now, Nick Voles super Bowl champion, right, we we haven't talked about it. All year. We've we've taken the Eagles, you know, we've we've already laid them to rest. Nick Foles comes in there and it's like all those memories come back and you're like, oh my god, it's having it again. They need help to get in pretty cool customer. But unlike the Redskins at seven and seven, they had a

legit shot. Yeah, they're they're in a better position certainly than the Redskins. I mean they yeah, as you said, I mean they need help. Um, you know, they got some games. It's like it's like a lot of team skilled. There's some games that just haunt the haunting teams now and they wish they had back, or they had they had a chance to win, or we're leading and they didn't finish and now. But but look, that's a big it's a big win for the Eagles last night psychologically

as well. Absolutely absolutely, But the home road splits that to me is is the big headline and all this tonight Panthers hosting the Saints all kinds of implications for this one as well. The Saints can clinch the number one seed with the win tonight. From not mistaken, yes, absolutely there is up to six now, uh, and the

Panthers need a win to stay in this. If the Panthers win, they will go to seven and seven and they will be a half game out of the final wild card playoff spot currently held by the Minnesota Vikings in the NFC. At seven six and one, Panthers losing pretty much you can forget about it, but they win in there, right in it again along with the Eagles and Redskins. Redskins in quotes at seven and seven. I don't mean to disparage the Redskins, but let's be honest again.

I'll say what I said moments ago. Has there ever been a team that's only a half game out of a playoff spot with two games left that has had less of a realistic chance of the washing Redskins do in the history of the league. Probably not, Gi. You sound like a Redskins fan. Well, and by the way, good for the Redskins way of that game last night yesterday with all their injuries. Um, I love you watching the Redskins. I hate you, Daniel. Daniel Snyder. Teams teams battle,

teams continue to battle, buddy. That's so that's a factor they do. There's no taking in the NFL, as the Niner showed yesterday, although the Jaguars kind of tank ish. We'll get to that in the middle in a minute. Let's start with the Thursday night game. We'll get to all the comments from yesterday. We're not even close to starting with this stuff. Thursday, what you got? Let's see

what do we have for Gil on Thursday? Get my It's as if you didn't know what it's as if you didn't know you were going to do the show this morning with this, No, I have to well, actually I don't believe there is a Saturday, but that's right with of no Thursday this week, which we love, actually we do love. Um we've got bull season here, but two games on Saturday. The first one who is oh yeah, I remember Washington Redskins in Tennessee to play the Titans.

Washington at Tennessee. Yes, Tennessee very much a lot right. Tennessee's eight and six, So Tennessee right now would be

tied for the number two playoff position at least record wise. Well, we won't get into tiebreakers, but along with the Colts and the Ravens, all three of those teams at eight and six right now, the number two wild card positions should be noted also, though, of course, with the Titans, that the Texans are two games ahead in the a f C South, so that hasn't been clinched, but for

all intents and purposes might be over Titans. Yesterday they go into New York again, the Redskins and the Titans two of the three teams yesterday, that one on the road. Titans blank the Giants seventeen to nothing, and they do it with Marcus Mariotta throwing for eighty eight yards. Was a more of a running backs day yesterday, It really was. Well. This one was in a driving rain storm. Mariota was twelve of twenty eight eight yards, no touchdowns, no pick sacked,

just once. Derrick Henry right where he left right where he left off, this time a career high thirty three carries for Henry, following up his two hundred plus yard performance with a hundred and seventy and two touchdowns. Yesterday his four hundred and eight yards, so he had to thirty eight the week before his four eight yards over the last two games of the best in the Titans era. Don't forget though, the Tyler Rose Earl Campbell ran for more than that two games when he was with the

Houston Oilers back in the day. The Tyler Rose Earl Campbell with that jersey sticking out. Titans had the ball for thirty five minutes and twenty one seconds of that game. Yesterday, by the way, third straight win for the Titans, first shut out in eighteen years. It's Christmas Day two thousand. I think they went to Uh. They were bent heavily yesterday. The Titans remember the scheme the Giants now. Once Beckham was announced that he was out, Um, you know, the

Titans wound up closing. It's two point favorites ester and the Giants were favorites earlier open a week Uh. Titans have allowed nine points in their last two games. The limited Sake Yeah limited Sea Kwana thirty one yards on fourteen carries, Titans offense forty two carries two hundred sixteen yards and the Skins as we as we talked about, Skins go into Jacksonville and Josh Johnson is sixteen one,

one one touchdown note picks he was sacked three times. UH. The Redskins fourth starting quarterback and as many weeks sorry, fourth started quarterback and has many weeks let's list them Smith, McCoy, Sanchez, Johnson. But the Redskins go in at seven point dogs and they beat the Jaguars sixteen and thirteen. A lot of that on a lot of help there on a tipped ball that landed in Jamison Crowder's hands that allowed the

Redskins to sustain a game tying drive. They later got a pick from Fabian Moreau kicked the game winning field sixteen Redskins over the Jaguars. UM Josh Johnson. This is a true story. I'm not making this up. Josh Johnson played Madden NFL nineteen last week to learn his new teammates and names. There's a true story. But he led the Skins on those two scoring drives at the end of the fourth quarter they beat Jacksonville, first victory of Josh Johnson's pro career. He had been owing five as

a starter. First for the Redskins UH in terms of just victories since Alex Smith broke his right leg last month. By the way, Alex Smith out of the hospital finally had infections in the legs and we wish him the best. UH. Six yard touchdown though, from Josh Johnson to Jeremy Sprinkle sprinkle wing ming with seven remaining tie, the game got the ball act with the pick as I mentioned, and then Dustin Hopkins thirty eight yard field goal drilled it.

Skinns win and their four game losing set. The Skins are seven and seven. They're mathematically alive. They're only a half game out of a playoff spot in the wild guard race. But forget about it. Tennessee by ten, Tennessee by tenant is And again, as I say, these numbers, these are the openers here at the south Point, just put in the system. Chris Andrews on the phone, like Chrissie. Um boy, here's the deal on this. There's a takeaway from that Chargers Chiefs game. Right. One confirmation Chiefs defense is especially their secondary very is

not good. A right, realize that not good, especially with a I mean considering Philip Rivers and this is not a knock on him, but his style is just you know where he is, right, He's not mobile, not particularly mobile straight back and his placement of those passes there's incredible, man, just terrific. So I said it. Friday said this should be Philip Rivers appreciation. Absolutely his whole career. He gets knocked down, it gets right back up like like it

just slofts them off, never gets hurt. Every game, very gutty win by the players and coaching staff on the Chargers, and and and the other takeaway from that game, obviously is that the Chargers are never out of a game. Never. They're the one thing I jumped overs plagued them the first you know, first three quarters. Yes, I joked with my buddy when they were down fourteen nothing, I was like, they got the Chiefs right where they want. They minus

two in turnovers in that game. Philip Rivers never again. Philip Rivers never gets hurt. He's never. He never quarterback sneaks. It's the funniest thing with his career. He shot, puts the ball, puts it that again. That passed the Travis Benjamin to convert that fourth and eight. Could have frozen the screen. He could have walked up to a place, couldn't have placed it any better. Uh. And right now, And I was for weeks now, I've been saying I'm

grabbing Chargers future tickets the Chargers right now. That Seahawks loss to the Niners yesterday was a sneaky good thing for the Charges because now the Seahawks gots to play against the Chiefs this coming week. So Tide record was with the Chiefs, and Chiefs hold the tie break or they split with each other. Right, that's better division record. And but it's the division better division record currently, So they do need the Chiefs to lose, do the Charges

to win the Division. But now, let me just say this. If there's one team where home field doesn't matter, or for for which it might not matter, it would be the Chargers, who, in essence just kind of feel, you know, comfortable everybody. They play in StubHub Center. By the way, here's a little quirk. If the Chargers get home games in the playoffs, whether it's as a division winner, well they won't. There's a way to get a home game as a wild card, but not likely. Um, it will

no longer be called StubHub Center. Did you know this? You're changing it right, ye, Dignity Health Sports Park. It's not It's not Charger Stadium, that's for sure. Yeah. Um. But it should be noted the Ravens only a half game out of the division lead in the a f C North as well. And yesterday the Ravens got it done with a twenty to twelve win over Tampa Bay and Lamar Jackson, who is now the star in Baltimore

four and one as the raven starting quarterback. He was fourteen twenty three for one thirty one, one touchdown, no picks. He was sacked twice. But he also of course gets it done with his legs. Eighteen carries, ninety five yards, charges by four and a half charges four and a half. Look at you, alright, buddy. Of course that doesn't make it betable, but I got both of those all right, So those are the two Saturdays are two Saturday games. Again, no Thursday game this week for the in the NFL. Okay,

First game Sunday the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Dallas to play the Cowboys. Tampa Bay. What did Tampa Bay do yesterday? Who they lose to? They lost to the Ravens. That's right, they lost to the Ravens twenty to twelve. We just talked about that. Mike Evans filled up a statuet again the four catches a twenty one yards.

That lost by the way, eliminating Tampa Bay from playoff contention. All you people who still held out hope for Tampa Bay get in the postseason future tickets, So it's souvenirs that's there at Dallas. Now, Dallas got shut out by the Colts twenty three to nothing. By the way, it was the Colts defense that was a major factor yesterday, major factor for those of us who had the Colts. You know, one of my one of my big things

why I have the Colts again. You have to handicap the Dallas Cowboys as if they're two entirely different football teams. When they're at home and the refs are looking the other way, when the Cowboys do horrible things to the opponent. Sorry gut Boys fans, but you know it's true, and when they're on the road and they don't get that kind of benefit. Just two different teams. But Dallas will be back, and I'm sorry about that. Matt Jones is a Cowboys fan. By the way, they put a Cowboys

fan in a redskin fan together. I don't know if this Producers is your Mike on. I don't know if it's gonna work, Producers got, I don't know. Maybe people can't hear you, buddy, your Mike. How about Jason Garrett's gonna make it? What about Jameis Winston, I don't know. I think he may be elsewhere. That's a possibility. but you're right about that. Well, I think the culture has changing there from from the I think he's just, let me put it this way, John Gruden is establishing his culture, which is work hard, in battle, compete. Do you disagree. I think the culture changed from a culture of good players the bad players. Well, they're rebuilding, but they're only rebuilding because they sucked like that wasn't their plan.

They were. They were like grabbing free agents at the off season and then they're like, all right, we'll I just don't know there's You can't tell me that this was their plan from the beginning. Absolutely right. So so Buffaloes five and nine? Now is they beat the Lions fourteen to thirteen. Robert Foster four catches a d eight yards in the touchdown.

Josh Allen big two yard leap to convert a fourth and one with a minute forty seven remaining in that game, hit Foster and Stride for a forty two yard go ahead touchdown with remaining Before that, Bills hung on largely because of that Allan conversion to eliminate the Lions from playoff contention. They're out of it too, Vinny, can are you sure that's awesome? Are you sure? I think I'm sure. Thirteen teams have been eliminated now seven yesterday. We just

might as well list them. Broncos, Falcons, Lions, Giants, Bucks, Packers, Bengals, Astelo. Back to the Bills four and five now and nine starts with Josh Allen so along with her Edwards, head coach of a s U. And I know they lost to Fresno's day, but we all owe her med Words an apology, and we all owe Josh Allen an apology

because we were sort of snickering about both these guys. Oh, how can the a s U hire her meed Words and Josh Allen he's gonna be come on and look at him, you know what, Besides Baker Mayfield, he might be the best of the rookie quarterbacks. He's having a pretty solid season. Did it yes rookie? Yeah? Did it yesterday without Shawn McCoy? Vinny, did he yesterday without Chris Ivory? McCoy with a left hamstring behind? What's that? You came from behind? Ivory had a shoulder injury he was enacting.

And then Marcus Murphy didn't return after dislocating his left elbow in the second quarter, so he had nobody behind him either. And then there's the Patriots who lost to the Steelers. What's your takeaway from that game yesterday? Credit the Steelers for finally solving the Patriots. Well, I'm glad you asked Vinny. Couple of things. One, people who cited the you know, the Tomlin versus Belichick sample size stats

shouldn't do that. He shouldn't do that. And I think that this Patriots team, I've been saying, Gronk is is done zo, Like we'll never see the will never see the same Gronk again. Yesterday two catches, and I think by and large, you see the Patriots doing things that we're not used to seeing them do. For instance, fourteen penalties yesterday, Minny for a hundred and six yards four penalty, big penalty on that last drive as well. Right, a false start was huge. Not very brady Esque though either.

New England finishes the season. They finished the season away from Gillette Stadium at three and five straight up. That's the first I'm the Patriots have had a losing record on the road since two thousand nine. A win would have given them their tenth

straight a FC East title. They still they still may get there, probably will, but it wasn't yesterday. So now Philly is

at seven and seven. Philly is a half game out of the second wild card position. The Vikings are seven six in one, and the psychological boost less huge. And we put that victory in context with the Mark Lawrence tweet the war and sharp tweet earlier in case you missed it, but it is the third biggest upset of the season. But in terms of Super Bowl champions being involved, um, it's monster historically, and the Eagles now with Nick Foles, the magic that is Nick Foles beat the Rams last

night thirty to twenty three. They do so outright is thirteen and a half point favorites. Only the Bills went over the Vikings and the Cardinals went over the Packers were bigger upsets this season. Deshaun Watson on Saturday for the Texans, let's start there. He was twenty two of twenty eight against the Jets for two two touchdowns, no picks, but you know been he he was sacked six times and if you watch him play, he holds on at

the ball way too late, too long. You would think by now that he wouldn't put, you know, credit to Jets although that game. The result of that game to want that field goal at the end that game fell seven good for the much better for the betters than yes, and the Jets missed two extra points in that game. Let me just say this about the Texans once again.

This is a season were they Jedi mind tricked Frank Reich in overtime, Frank Reich going forward in his own territory failing Texans had to get one first down and they kicked in winning field goal. The Jedi mind trick Jason Garrett who punted in Texans territory, and over time Texans ended up winning the Jedi mind trick vance Joseph at the end of the first half against Denver Man's Joseph did some squirrely coaching things. Bill O'Brien ends up with the field goal instead of the Broncos. That was

the margin of victory in that game. It goes on and on pick six against Buffalo, a game they had no business winning. Late What am I forgetting? There's others Jets missing two extra points. Stuff goes the Texans way I don't know if they're gonna Jedi Nick Foles. No. Pretty cool customer. By the way, the Texans against the Jets just one of nine on third downs, but DeAndre

Hopkins was everything. Ten catches, a hundred seventy yards, two touchdowns, including that fourteen yarder with two fifteen left that gave the Texans, or lifted them, really the victory. They're both a aim out of the lead in the NFC East. They're both a half game out of the final wild card position. The Redskins have zero chance for either. The Eagles are very much in the wild card race. The Eagles really don't have a shot, I mean realistically speaking at the

NFC East title because they'd have to win out. Cowboys would have to lose out in the Cowboys have pretty easy schedule here down the stretch. The Eagles do not have an easy schedule. But the Eagles very much into the wild card position. Uh, they're very much in the wild card possibilities in the right. So it's that's a pick them, huh, pick them. Okay, there you go, all right.

Next next Vikings in Detroit to play the Lions. Speaking up a team that holds the number two wild card position, it is the Vikings at seven six and one at Detroit lost. As we mentioned to Buffalo Dalvin Cook yesterday, for the Vikings nineteen carries season high nineteen carries for

a career high one thirty six yards two touchdowns. The Vikings out gained the Dolphins total yards four eight in passing yards thirty seven, that's what all the sacks factored in, and a team season high forty rushing attempts for the Vikings. That of course precipitated by Mike Zimmer telling new interim offensive coordinator Kevin Stefanski, Hey, the other guy that I just fired Di Filippo. Yeah, he didn't run the ball enough, and so Stefanski got on it, and that's what happened.

Anthony barr H Danielle Hunter each had two of the nine sacks of Ryan Tannehill, totally seventy one lost yards for the Dolphins, and the Vikings could clinch the second wild card spot next week. I gotta win this one though. As part of that, they needed only nineteen plays at the beginning of that game yesterday, the Vikings keeping the ball on the ground twelve times to go to a twenty one to nothing lead nineteen plays up twenty one

and nothing. As I said, they had to win that game twice because then Kirk Cousins through the pick six, because that's what Kirk Cousins does. the Bears. But that loss, coupled with Minnesota's win over Miami, knocks the Packers out of the postseason for the second year in a row. UH sixty three remaining, The Packers drove to the nine, but on third down, Eddie Jackson picked off Rodgers on the deflection, ending his consecutive passes streak with note picks at four hundred two passes and

the Packers home road splits. We talked about it oh N seven on the road with their ninth straight loss away from home, their eight game win streak at Soldier Field also snapping. Aaron Jones left the game with the knee injury in the first quarter, did not return. Jets, as we mentioned on Saturday, lost to the Texans. But Sam Donald, can I say this when you watch that game, There's two things. Deshaun Watson hold the ball too long and Sam Donald looked unafraid of that Texans defense. He

looked very confident, pretty fearless. I mean again, uh for a rookie battle. I mean he said, Look, I'm there, I'm the future. I'm gonna continue to battle, learn as I go. Sometimes the lessons are painful for both fans and betters. That's right. But they were nine of seventeen on third downs where the Jets in that game donalty for two fifty three touchdown past Robby Anderson, Andre Roberts

and as I mentioned, Jason Meyer missing two extra points. Uh, if it's Rogers, then the Packers are favored by two and a half. If it's not Rogers and it's Huntley, then the Jets are favored by three. Yeah. Here, here's the thing, Gill and Uh, that was actually the main reason Chris called was because so the Packers did open as two point favorites. So but the fact of the matters the Jets are now too. And that's by not

on air, as we say, this is play. So Jets are favored by two Jets or two because because the speculations Rogers strong opinion yeah By and this is this is not the public com betting this, This is respected opinions that believe he's not going to play, at least at this point. So the Jets are now too. So I mean, you're you're spot on. I mean, he plays their their favorite if he doesn't the Jets. Yeah, so

so that makes that makes total sense. And for those of us, again we have Jets tickets, we obviously want Rogers not to play. But now is is Rogers is a speculation on Rogers not playing? Is that because oh, your leg is still hurt? Or is that because you're a sour bus and you don't want to be here so just go? Or is it a combination of both that's going to be under the guy? I think it's

I think it. Listen, I think when you think when you look at the season, Let's face, he got hurt in that first game of the season, did against the Bears, the Bears, right, and then miraculously showed up in the second half, parted off at halftime, and then remember we didn't know if he was gonna play in this second exactly. I mean, certainly we know it would have been a completely different number at half halftime in that game. But

the fact of the matter, as he did. He's been he's been hurt all the year, and um, why would you what do you really need to play him? I mean, I get it, he's supposed to say look, I'm the leader of the team. Yeah, I want to play, of course he does, but really think about, you know, risking. He missed passes yesterday. He's been missing passes all year. He's not right. You know, we want to blame stuff on McCarthy. He has not had a good year. Credit

credit his his willingness to compete. But at some point too, if it's affecting, uh, the efficiency and performance, then maybe it's maybe it's time to just say, look, you know what. So the sentiment out there is that he will not play that right, at least at this point. This is not the general public weighing in at this point. Yeah, So, how many more games do we have? Any We've got three five on Sunday and one and the Monday night game. Five on Sunday, Monday night. All right, let's take a

Um, obviously Houston at Philadelphia being one of those games, Ravens Chargers on Saturday. Um. There are some clunkers out there for sure too. But there's a there's about well we'll see if there's a couple more that are playoff that that involved two contending

playoff teams. But those are good ones right now. The one that outrages me the most is uh again, the Dolphins should be way higher of a favorite against the Jaguars, and then you had Houston and Philly as a pick um and I had Houston as a three point favorite. I think your your your number is probably better than mine. Clearly, all right, we'll do more. Yeah, go ahead and see what you wanted to kil I think you should. That's the number is better than yours, you know, That's that's

what Just to remind uful, that's the exercise. We make our numbers, post numbers. Professionals like yourself do the same. And you make numbers and you compare them, and that's where you you find that you perceive yours why we do. And I think your number is in the retrospect. That's what I joke about, Cooper Gop. Clearly the way the Rams are blaming Cooper Cup has to be the m v P. Right. I think Michael Lombardi will say that Mitchell Robiski is now the price of that. So you think I I You think I I shoehorned the Redskins and everything. Lombardi shoehorns at your biscuite compensation. There, he's like, he does. That reminds me of how bad Mitchell Drobiskie is. Love Lombardi. He does a great job, and my conversations with him are I look forward to

the Broncos seventeen to sixteen. We haven't talked about this game really in depth yet. A coaching uh, sort of force of crapitude from Vans Joseph at the end tour, the force of gratitude as he elects to kick a field goal late in that game instead of going for

it on fourth and one and had no corners. Thousand coaches in the stands were, yes, incredulous these that word again, right, Nick Chubb for the for the Browns, twenty carries one dred yards, including right after that choice to go for a field goal a forty four yards can excuse me? Forty yards scamper on the first play of the ensuing drive,

which drove it home for the Browns. Still, the Browns made a decision late in that game to go for it on fourth and one, which I actually like that they went for it up four points, excuse me, up one point? Excuse me. I like that they went for it. May not like the play call, but I like that they went for it eleven straight times. Denver had beaten Cleveland. A lot of streaks broken in the NFL yesterday, and and the Brownies alive. Brownies alive, One shot chance I'll

tell you this about the Browns. They will be It's certainly one of, if not the most popular team in this upcome offseason. So in other words, futures folks will be anxious to bet their regular season wins, just like a year ago we were with San Francisco, right with Jimmy Garoppolo going there and having that great run at the end of the year. Um, but there's gonna be a lot of interest in the in the Browns, and rightfully so. I mean, it's a team on the rise

in up and coming. I think Hard Knocks with the Cleveland Rounds was the greatest Hard Knocks ever. This past offseason was so great. The the lack of respect angle that Todd Haley and Greg Williams appeared to have for Hugh Jackson, the fact they had Tyrod Taylor Baker Mayfield backing him up, the Antonio Callaway sort of rookie angle,

and Totio Callaway. With the two yard touchdown catch from Baby Baker Mayfield just under twelve minutes left, providing the winning margin, Browns still have a shot at their first winning season since two thousand seven, even their first playoff berth As you say, any since two thousand two, thanks to their first win over Denver since vance Joseph when taking a task and when asked about his decision to kick a field goal with four thirty five left to

make the score seventeen to sixteen as opposed to going for first down and a chance of a touchdown after that quote, I wanted points there. We had about four thirty five left, We had one time out in the two minute warning. I trust our defense to get a stop there, unquote, but I don't trust our offensive score. Right. That's the cloud bubble over his head. That's the thought bubble. As I mentioned, Nick Chubb reels off the forty yard run on the first play after that. We can't let

What's interesting is even if the Saints lose tonight, let's remember that they have that head to head tiebreaker with the Rams. So head and and home field is everything. Well, again, when we've talked about this skill, uh, who do you think who do you give a better chance to win at the other place? I said this last week, So do you give the Viking, I mean the Saints a better chance to win in Los Angeles compared to the Rams in New Orleans? Right, so it's obviously the Saints,

so huge, huge game. But as you mentioned, uh, if you have to pick a super Bowl right now, who do you think is in the Super Bowl? Any very simple questions? Well, I think here here's how I would answer that. Guilt Uh, you know in our world, right, so if you're you know you you you're sitting there saying, well to meet in the super Bowl. You know, you think about the futures, you think about possible props and things.

I mean, obviously the Saints are the the NFC favorite right now, but question marks there right, I mean, good luck uh picking it and uh man, I'll tell you what you forget, you know, putting record aside, but performance lately, and you gotta look at the Chargers stares Saints in the super Charges for the reasons we talked about at

the beginning. The Chargers are just never They're always dangerous and again they're never out of a game, never out of a game, you know, So Philip rivers appreciation now that could change again, We've still got a ways to go. And that's not saying that. Look that's who I think is going to be. But when you look at the landscape and the you know the results of the last couple of weeks and scenarios, I think those two right now probably there. Everybody's flawed, that's for sure. Definitely. Yeah,

who are the Rams? Are you get here Rams or in Arizona to play the Cardinals? Should we start with the Cardinals? Cardinals? Cardinals lose to the Falcons and losing a big way. Josh Rosen thirteen of twenty two for one thirty two, no touchdowns, two picks sacked six times. I'm sorry for the Cardinals of the scored the fewest points right in the league. If I'm not mistaken, yesterday were over thinking for the season. Well, the lowest scoring

team will effort that. I believe that's true. Mike Glennon in relief ten of fourteen for one eleven, one touchdown, no picks sacked once, sixty total rushing yards for the Cardinals yesterday, there were minus three in turnovers. They've dropped two straight five or six under Steve Wilkes, who I don't know. If there's a first year coach who might be in trouble, maybe it's him. Arizona's run defense allowed two fifteen yards to the NFL's worst rushing attack yesterday.

UM offensive lines battered for the Cardinals, though, I will say that Josh Rosen finished with a thirty eight point four passer rating. That's at a one eight point three UM. So yeah, all bad. And then the Rams last night, as we've talked about, Jared Goff thirty five fifty three, thirty nine but no touchdowns, two picks sacked once, Todd Gurley twelve carries forty eight yards to touchdowns, ten reception

seventy six yards. But as I mentioned, both Everett and Girly ever and on consecutive drives Girly not going out of bounds and Gurley didn't do it on a catch inside the final twenty seconds. That probably took away two additional shots at the end zone for the Rams. Good point. We talked about Todd Gurley being the cerebral Yeah, Girly

a month ago, but yeah, not yesterday, brain fart. I guess they called they were minus to in turnovers versus phil They lose consecutive regular season games for the first time under coach Sean McVeigh. The Eagles scored seventeen straight points in the third quarter. Remember it was thirteen thirteen at a half time, Yes, and then they survived the Rams late rally Jake Elliott and missed the field goal. By the way, that's the other thing they'll get swept

under the carpet. What was Doug Peterson doing attempting a fifty two yard field goal with one oh eight left in that game? Well, you talk about what was he doing to talk about coaching decisions all year. I mean go back to last year, but every every every coaching decision last year seemed to work out for for the Eagles, right with the Doug Peterson, Yeah, I could not believe I take the penalty punted away, like, what are you doing? If it's fifty two? That's that's not a gimme by

any stretch. Shows but illustrates even more how how I don't you know it is flawed or really inconsistent. Certainly the Rams couldn't. They couldn't take advantage of it overall. At the end of at the end of the day, they did it right, It almost did, but they didn't. But Jared Goff got the Rams to the Philadelphia eighteen yard lines with four seconds to play. Again, it could have been more seconds, but nobody was getting out of bounds and he couldn't connect with Josh Reynolds on the

final pass as time expired. Rams first lost the Colisseum in seven games this season. They do still control their own destiny for a first round playoff, by Chicago is a game behind them in that race. Rams are eleven and three, the Bears are ten and four. Bears winning the NFC North yesterday, Um, three straight pedestrian performances since that epic fifty one Monday Night went over Kansas City and the ensuing bye week. All that said, Rams on

the road against Arizona Rams by ten thirteen and a half. Yeah, I was gonna say I was way low. As soon as that ten came out of my mouth, I'm like, there's no ways, by the way, Vinny was correct. Arizona points fewest in the league. There you go, dwo points in fourteen games. There you go, Rams thirteen and a half. Won't stop that. Yesterday will not stop the teaser train. No, today will not stop the Jeser train. Okay, Um, how many more we got here? Form? We've got three more

on Sunday and then one on Monday. Three more on Sunday. Still, yes, all right, Bears Niners? Oh well, let's do the two day games. Anyway here Bears two day games, and there's one primetime Sunday, one primetime, So let's leave the prime time for next up. But let's do the day game Bears and Niners. Bears Niners, Bears win the NFC North. They clinch it with the win over the Packers, did you not believe me it was the Bears Niner? So I did that? Sounds like it didn't do I'm sorry.

Um, but the Bears secured their first trip to the playoffs in eight years with their seventh win in eight games. Um, well,

I just I just contradicted myself. Then it's a secured first playoff appearance since twenty team won the NFC North. Then it says first trip to the playoffs in eight years, where their seventh win in eight games? So which is it? I have conflicting details there, Sorry about that. For a team that, let's check do they win the NFC North in twenty let's check on it. For a team that came into the season with four straight last place finishes, it's quite a turnaround for them. Matt naggy h obviously

the new coach. They trade for Khalil Mack and everything changed on that Bears did win. Thank you, Thank you, Matt. Fifteen of the past sixteen seasons. Now, listen to this stat for the NFL. Fifteen of the of the past six seasons with at least one NFL team finishing in first place in its division the season after finishing in the last or tied for last. Fifteen of sixteen seasons worst the first. Again, there's only four teams in these divisions,

but fifteen of sixteen is pretty interesting. And then the Niners beat in the same situation, the Niners at home against a playoff bound team and the Seahawks the Niners beat the Seahawks out right yesterday as three and a half point dogs. Nick Mullins seventy five, one touchdown, no pick, sack three times. UM had just lost two weeks ago to the Seahawks by twenty seven points forty to sixteen Robbie Gould game win. He kicked thirty six yard or three or six left and o t went over time. Yesterday,

UM three straight stops against Russell Wilson. Seahawks had a ten game winning streak against the Niners. That gets snapped. Winning streaks everywhere, head to head, snapped all over the place. Yesterday. There were a lot of stats, you know, the reverse smooth where if it was flashed, it happened right all weekend long. All these short term, like small sample size things that people talk about, especially over years, when it's not even the same things, it mean nothing. This was

interesting yesterday. So the Seahawks the when when they opened last week they were five and a half, it got bent down to three and a half even at one point, and then it got that all the way back up. Well, so this is precisely how I'll guess this line right, because it's it's sort of similar in the fact again, Seattle at San Francisco playoff bound. We think with Seattle Chicago playoff bound. Now at San Francisco and Chicago still trying to get that by they still the shot at

the bye as they look up at the rams. So I'll say it's the Bears minus four and a half. If if Seattle closed at three and a half, I'll say the Bears minus four and a half, three and a half right now, what it'll go up before it comes down. So probably get to your number, girl, Thank you. I still don't believe you that they're playing, that they are playing in each other. By the way, I didn't mean to sound bad. I sound that way. They didn't believe it. I didn't mean that at all, all right,

and I'm telling you the truth. The next game, it's the Steelers in New Orleans to play the Saints. Now, the Saints obviously played a night aim, so good game here. Saints will be in the number one position either way no matter what happens tonight. But if they win tonight, they clinch it, they lock it up. So if they clinch it, that means they got nothing to play for

next week. Well, yeah, that's a that's a. That's a good point, I mean in terms of what it's Yeah, but I don't think you have you'll have a situation where, let's say they win tonight, you won't see Drew Brees at all next week. You don't think things like that, Right, you're gonna they're gonna wait, by the way, I'm wrong. I don't know if I don't know if I think they have to win next right, because there's two, Because there's two. This is I don't think I'm I'm I'm

completely wrong and right, that's right. So you're preview, you're you're actually saying this is why we're not that's right. I'm somehow right that the fact that we're not doing guessing lines like there's no games that week. No, that's you're I'm completely wrong. But I think so they can't clinch it tonight. They can't clinch the number one position a tie. They no, no, no, no, no, they still only they're still even with a win tonight, they'd still only be a game ahead of the Rams with two

games left, So it's not clinched. So this game will matter no matter what to the Saints, regardless of outcomes to night. But we haven't seen the Saints play. Pittsburgh has everything to play for. They only have a half game lead over the Ravens in the NFC North, and the Colts are knocking well, the Ravens are knocking in division, and then right, everybody else is knocking in the wild cards.

So the Steelers are in this weird position of we're in with the division, but we could be out of everything. They could. They can miss the play they can miss the playoffs. Despite their seventeen ten win over the Patriots yesterday, Jalen Samuel's nineteen carries for a hundred forty two yards for the for the Steelers yesterday. James Conner missing his second straight game due to a sprain left ankle, Samuels

forced into action. It got it done. And yeah again with all those short term streets, right, Tomlin versus Belichick, he was two and seven straight up, he was three and snakes against his bread the Patriots. In their seven wins against Tomlin, their average margin of victory was two touchdowns. Credit Steeler defense yesterday, right, they missed that they missed the field goal, so they the the They made their last field goal, but the second the last attempt was

was off right. So then the Pats came all the way down and Steelers intercepted what at the goal, and so it was a big guy, was a big sequence. So credit the credit the Steelers yesterday. Really, you have to give him, give him, give him their due here. Despite never trailing in that game there, their win wasn't assured until Morgan Burnett knocked down Tom Brady's heave to the end zone uh intended for Edelman with twenty seconds to go. Boswell, Chris Boswell, such a tough year for him.

He's missed now five extra points and seven field goals. He had toned, as you point out with your tone, for a thirty two yard miss and the third quarter by drilling a forty eight yard or with two thirty remaining, that provided the final margin. Gronk two catches twenty one yards um. Without seeing New Orleans tonight, I would say New Orleans about a six point favorite over the Steelers, barring the unforeseen six and a half, right now, Gil,

and a half. So you make it that much more to make it. Yeah, Now the Chargers instead of being three and a half point underdogs, they were three and a half point favorites. So you have the obviously at both sides, and the odds are or increase, you know, people, it's very pop in fact, Chris Felika Bear, Yes that one last week he did and I believe he hit one. He did hit it. He did the shout here for with the he had a four team was a four teamer.

So the three teamers are twenty five to one here at the south point, and the four teamers are seventy five to one to one. Uh yep, four for four, page seventy five for one.
