because it's Week fifteen. NFL Guessing Lines is our second to last guessing line show of the year because we don't really do it for Week seventeen. Not to mention that I don't think we're gonna be here for Week seventeen that Monday, because I think that's Christmas Eve morning, if I'm not mistaken. UM. Anyway, we don't ever do it for Week seventeen to begin with, because it's a squirrely week. But we will guess week fifteen lines. It's

a tribute. It's a nod to the old Stardust guessing line show with Roxy Rocksboro back in the day, UM. And in doing so, we'll look back on Week fourteen. What did we learn? What are we outraged by? What can't we believe? What are we dumbfounded by? Let me just say this right off the top. No team is great. Every team at the top has a floor or two, and I think everybody can be beaten, UM. And we're seeing it more and more now in stark Um, in

stark View. Even Kansas City, which wins yesterday, gets by it over time over the Ravens and all of that defense holds up in the playoffs the Rams last night. We'll get into that when we talk about the Rams. Jared Goff, have you ever seen a quarterback of them just absolutely melt in cold weather like that? And we're not talking like horrific Ice Bowl conditions. We're talking like

what was it just below freezing last night? Just uh, he just looked like he did not want to be anywhere on that field yesterday and as the Rams the Saints took him on another half to wake up against the Bucks again in the NFC, it's gonna come down to who's got home field a f C. I'm not so sure the Chargers are this wild card to me, not just literally currently, although they got a shot now to win the divisions. Ill, a lot will uh, a lot will be determined, not be determined, but a lot

could be determined Thursday night. But the Chargers can keep themselves very much in play for a division if they went on Thursday night against the Chiefs. Um. But that is Uh. The Patriots obviously, what a dramatic ending that was yesterday. We'll get into that. Patriots just yeah, I know they lost and this is not a results based comment,

but they're obviously like the the athleticism is lacking. Just gas that they've made that they made yesterday that you've never seen a Patriots team really may will get in all the details, um, some of the other highlights before Vinnie gets here, Vinny will be in here, by the way, and for Chrissy this morning, Christie and Vinny right now feverishly talking to get the lines up here at the South Point Hotel Casino. They'll post them here in the

next couple of minutes. By the way, when we say Vinnie is in for Chrissy, I don't want people to say, why do we keep saying, uh, Chrissy. As we've talked about, is during guessing lines on Monday morning. That's sort of the scheduled time for some of his treatments, which Chrissie has been very honest about on air. Remember we had a blood drive and tribute to him. So it just how happens that the scheduling is such where he can't

be in for guessing lines. You will get to hear him and perhaps see him during the week here at Visa otherwise, but then he will be in here momentarily. Some of the highlights. Todd Dewey did a great job at the Las Vegas Las Vegas Review Journal of documenting

some of the big headlines here in the desert. Uh seven figure swing at William Hill alone and a six figure swing at MGM on that final Kenyan Drake escape the Miami Miracle to win it for the Dolphins outright over the Patriots yesterday UM also reporting Todd Dewey did that UM over at the win win, Las Vegas Sports director Doug Castaneda said it was a solid day for those guys, but the Raiders game was definitely icing on their cake. They had a lot of play on the Steelers,

big play on the money line. He said that one win Better lost a six figure money line wager on the Steelers which closed at minus six fifty. They lost out right, of course to the Raiders. Another win Better lost the six figure straight bet on the Chiefs a t s. They didn't cover one by three and overtime six and a half point spread. Um, Todd, do we have some good nuggets in that piece there as well? Six figure bet Jeff Stone back over the Mirrage that

took a six figure bet on the Panthers. I didn't work out. Public all over the Chiefs there that didn't work out. And l A is a gentleman, the great Vinny Moliulo in house oddsmaker and gone gaming. And for Christie Andrews this morning on guessing lines, how did you do at the South Point here, good day, it was a It was a good day. First of all, Oh Gil, good morning, Good morning to you staff, everybody out there, jam with the uh great great crowd. Yesterday a lot

of a lot of a terrific business day. Yeah, for the whole weekend. And uh but you know, the scores, the scores went the house's way overall. Saturday was it was a good day for the public. The Army Navy game in particular, we got got middled on the game. Basically, yea open six and I didn't last very long, but bounced between seven and have some more more sided uh slight metal. I mean when you when you consider the open, but the six and a half didn't last very long.

More of a side if you will. Um, but it didn't make money on that game. You're doing something wrong. Well yeah, definitely. Uh. And then yesterday you you just highlighted the key games. Uh you know, guilt so but listen, tremendous amount of business. It did not disappoint. It continues to just amaze us as to how much business. But again look in here speaking for the South Point, just value. People love to be here. They have a good time and uh, you know, they were, they were able to

get down. You're in the strange position and eating the Rams last night, Christie was saying on Twitter. Yeah, Christie was right. You know, it came in late on the there was a move on on the Bears, and I guess it had had to do maybe whether it was a bit of a factor, right the Rams. Uh, you know, and I'm sure they're thankful they don't have to go through Chicago in the postseason. But credit the credit the

Bears defense. I was, they were outstanding. I mean every defense was great, But yeah, I wound up being a situation where could have used could have used the Rams last night, but could use the Rams. But still you're not going to be in a in a position too many times to have to need the Rams this year. Yeah, And I was just saying before you got in here, like I just don't. This was the day where it's sort of driven home where every team at the top,

every team has flows, every one of them. And by the way, we could even extend that to saying all the teams at the bottom, uh rose up a little, right, So nobody is there's no tank it in the NFL. Right there, you hit that's the key point. Yeah, yeah, and and and let me just that with the Raiders, then don't lie to us, right, don't don't give us this bull narrative. And I called them out on this earlier. We're like, oh, yeah, this was the plan all along

and trade all these players. No, that wasn't your plan. You got Jordy Nelson in the off season, your win total was eight and a half. You were totally going into it with a good attitude. And then uh you you you lost a few games and you're like trading players left and right, and you're like trying to sell everybody. Oh this is the plan along. No you're not. And you were so happy with the wind yesterday. So don't act like that's all I'm asking. Don't act like that

was your plan. Well plan or not. The reality is these are professionals fighting for their jobs in the future. What I think, um, you've got to give a team's uh you know, even the Raiders, they compete, they battle, and obviously what I think we're seeing big picture here, Gil is that the players that are there are buying into the culture. That there's a cultural change as there with John Gruden and and the players are buying into it.

I think as a Raider fan, you've got to be you know, you've got to be excited about right there they're battling. Is there a cultural traction? I don't know. I think I think so. I think they're competing the fact that they're competing this late is that that that tells you a lot. I mean a lot of teams could be could be mailing it into your point. Uh, and they're not. And so uh teams, teams are out there battling and uh and and and fighting, but they're

fighting for jobs too. So you want you want to see that as a as a as a fan, and as a better you want you want you want that no team with fewer than three wins in the NFL. After you have sterday with both the Niners and the Raiders winning their games, out right, giants went again. Um, So you know, yeah, that was It was a day yesterday where you could see flaws and all the good teams, all the all the best teams, and the worst teams

rose up a bit. The other thing that I want to point out another theme that I brought out before we start guessing lines for week fifteen, and we'll go through all these games yesterday because I got much to say about still more say about Jared Goff too, probably, But I've talked about the home road splits. This is another thing that I've been harping on Vinnie this year in the NFL, which is we always reserve that for baseball. We typically reserve that for baseball. These this picture as

home road splits, or this team certainly does. Uh, primarily we do with starting pitchers. Man, we should. It's funny how we don't. You know, we know home teams. You know you're getting points for home field advantage in varying degrees when you were making a market price. But Patriots six and oh at home, these are straight up number six and oh at home, three and four on the road. Dolphins six and one at home, one in five on

the road. You could just go up and down. Cleveland Browns four two and one at home, one in five on the road. Um Titans five and one at home, two and five on the road. Again, this is always the case, right with with home teams are better at home than they are on the road. But the the rampantness of this in the NFL this year, the Cowboys six and one at home, two and four on the road.

And don't get me started about the Cowboys and the refing in that stadium, although it could be argued that it was bad in two different directions for the both the last two Cowboys games, the Packers five one and one at home, oh and six on the road, the Panthers five and one at home, one in six on the road. Like, really, is the chasm always been this wide? It's incredible. Buccaneers four and three at home, one in five on the road. Um, even the Niners three and

three at home, O N seven on the road. And you do get into these, you know, I got into with Michael Lombardi a bit this this past week of what's at play. You know, in the NBA, it's because the refs are right on the court and the crowds right on top of them, and there's only there's a human instinct to to not want to upset people. Uh that's not the case in the NFL, but it just seems like the way, you know, because not it's not only reffing, it's the fact, Michael says, offensive lines don't

travel well. Bad offensive lines don't travel. There's all kinds of reasons, but this is a we should be talking more about home road splits. All of our handicapping discussions to be talking about where's the game? That's the first question we should ask. Well, there's no question about it. And while you hit on a key point to Yil, because not every home field is the same for every team, but by the same token, you want to pay attention to who's who's playing really good on the road. The Saints,

I think is a good example, right, the Saints. What's the Saints road record is is probably one of the better six one road records. So now when you look at that and you say, well, when you're eleven and two, you're playing well, but but yeah, but but the point is, though, right, you want to pay attention to that. Even yeah, they're they're one of the better teams. They've got they've got there the number one seed right now by virtue of the tiebreaker with the Rams, because they beat the Rams

heads up. But who between both the Rams and the Saints are eleven and two, who would you say, who would you rather have going for you on the road? Man? I think if it's cold weather, I think we know the answer to that. Who who could win to get? Do you give the Saints a better shot of winning a game in Los Angeles or the Rams a better shot of winning a game in the Dome and in the Super Dumb So you want to pay attention to that too, because the home road splits are they're really

well chronicled there. But the real key is do you want to zero win on who's gonna who do I think can battle on the road? Who's and then of course your factory and injuries, who's you know, who's The Chiefs are a different team now since the kurreem hunt situation, right, so, uh, you know it's it's gonna be interesting to see exactly, you know, how all those factors come into play. So factor in starting with yeah, where's the get where are

the games? Home road splits? Wait a second, Who's who's decent on the road, who can play well on the road? Whose feels the Chargers Chargers don't have a home game except doesn't travel doesn't matter? I mean, certainly, I'm not gonna say that. I'm not going to diminish the fact that travel is not a factor, because it is. But the fact of the matter is, really when you look at the Chargers, right, it's either they're traveling to stop

up center, or they're traveling wherever to play games. We see. This is the case I've been making the last couple of weeks about the Charge, and I have a to win a f C tickets on it. I think they're the most complete team in football, I really do. I think they are and they and it's this weird thing whereas you point out, they don't really have a a home a cozy confines of a home field, and they're getting Melvin Gordon back, and they'll have Gordon and Bosta

together right legitimately for the first time. So um, all is interesting if for anybody was like, oh home road sports, of course, team is gonna have a better record at home on the road. Yeah, But the the nature of all of those and the and the chasm between so many of those From our handicapping standpoint, what I'm getting at is you almost have to view this football team as an entirely different team in one venue versus the next for handicapping, and I don't think people do that right.

People like the Dallas Cowboys are one team at home, they're completely different team at on the road. You gotta start thinking that one well, that's a that's also a good point because but it also speaks to the to the aspect whereby the public bets teams and professionals that numbers and situations. Yeah, let's do Thursday. Let's start week fifteen and again we'll we'll go through all the Week four teen games. We got things to say. I know

this one. This is big matchup the Chargers in the Chiefs. By the way, So these are numbers that are in UH in the system right now. We just put in UH supervisor Louke Argin. Just put him in, Chris Andrews on the phone, and UH give the green light to open these So these numbers are up on the betting board here at the south point right now. Chargers in Kansas City to play the Chiefs. Chargers were in this spot yesterday. They were coming off an emotional come from

behind victory against Pittsburgh. UH, and they've got this showdown with Kansas City that was gonna happen four days after yesterday's game against the Bengals. Anyway, So this was a spot yesterday the quintessential what people call trap game or look ahead spot or whatever you're your phraseology is on that and they go ahead and they beat the Bengals. Didn't get it done in any kind of dramatic fashion or any really convincing or or uh dominating fashion, but

they got it done. And there's a lot to say about that, a lot to say for that. Rivers nineteen twenty one touchdown note picks sacked two times, four field goals from Michael Badgeley. That is always an achilles heel for the Chargers franchise, including a franchise record fifty nine yard or Bengals fifth straight loss by the way, um, but the Chargers yesterday by the way badly fourteen of fifteen on field goals for the Chargers. Now, man, did

they solve that problem? Chargers had a hundred sixty yards of offense their first two drives rest of the way on. And then there's the Chiefs who got it done in overtime against the Ravens and only got it done because Patrick mahomes Man Fitty made a couple of plays, one

of which that fourth and nine to Tyreek Hill. Uh the way he scrambles the throws across his body and then tie re kill shot out of a cannon comes out of nowhere to get these Mahomes yesterday thirty five of fifty three for three seventies seven, two touchdowns, one pick, sack three times. Tyreek a catches one nine four one total yards offense. Again, it did go into overtime, but a fourth downplay that was designed to go left, then Mahomes was scrambled to his right. Ravens in pursuit. I

was trained on Tyreek down downfielding makes it happen. Just an incredible throw, incredible catch. Chiefs get it done, force overtime, win it in overtime, and um, now you have this game on Thursday night, which is huge because again the Chargers have the second best record in the a f C. They're in second place in their division. They have the second best record in the a f C. If they beat the Chiefs on Thursday night, the two teams will

be tied. They will have split their games their head to heads, but the Chiefs will still own the tiebreaker based on division record, so they would still need the Chargers would another subsequent Chiefs lost to have any shot at winning the division. But you start to put pressure on a Kareem hunt lists Chiefs team if you never know what could happen all of that said, I thought about this for a long time because I knew about this game for sure. This was this was etched in

my mind, this game was happening. I have Chiefs by three and a half without Melvin Gordon for the Chargers here exactly three and a half. Yeah, I thought about I no, no Kareem Hunt, obviously, no Melvin Gordon. Three and a half in this game three and a half exactly what is posted here at the some point by the Wakes that tying touchdown. They were back to back, if you will, fourth down place by the by the Chiefs, two fourth downter versions in a row. That's that's the game.

This is the game of the week. Is on Thursday night. On the on the one hand, it's almost the shame because Thursday night games performances are scorely again for lack of a better term, but nice first and we've wanted primetime game. Remember the last few years we were complaining about the Prime games. But we complain, yeah it's here.

You know. It's a double edged sword because we're like, oh, these Thursday nights schedule games, they suck these matchups, and then when we have a good one, we're like, I wish that was on a Sunday where they actually play better. Yeah, I can't have it both way, So all right there, that one's on the money. I'm sure I'll embarrass myself with some of these other Let's do it coming back week fifteen, guessing lines, trying to isolate value. Hopefully we will.

These two teams right now in the number one and number two playoff positions in the NFC. And uh, guess what if the Vikings lose here, They're still in the number two position in

the NFC wild Card. No matter what happens in this game, these will, in some variation, one will be number one and one will be number two, no matter the outcome, because well the NFC, let's call it mediocre, just to be kind. Uh, Seahawks three point favorites. Now, this was three and a half or much of the week three now on the Seahawks. Uh, look, this is a tough place to play. I know there's there's some some math guys will tell you really was Is it only a

tough place when they're good? I've been to a game in Seattle this time of year, actually went to a playoff game. It is a tough place to play. Uh, Kirk Cousins has plagued him throughout his career where he'll put up some numbers and crunch time, he won't make the best decisions. But at three here awfully tough not to play the Seahawks the way their planned. Viking so one dimensional right now, no running game. This is a

game where Uh Seahawks get played at three. When it gets you mentioned it was three and a half, it was it was taken. Uh. The three and a half was taken. So uh home field this is one of the better home fields in the NFL. Seattle a guilt. Uh. The other part of this is to let's remember that the Vikings are on that New England trip and then followed by a trip to the Northwest. It didn't serve the Packers well when they had to do it. They did Seattle first and then New England. So, um, it's

it's it's a it's a scheduling. Um it's it's a bit of a scheduling challenge I think for the for the teams that have had to do it. And again, first it was the Packers and now it's the Viking. So but not a real huge decision right now, but it will certainly get quite a bit of play. It'll be busy, it'll be you know again, we're a capacity here at the property with the rodeo in town, so it'll be uh again. Yes, you notice that. Where's your

where's your hat? Where's your you know. I came out of the studio the other day and somebody say, hey, I'm a big fan of I just wanted to say hello, And I said, oh, what are you here for. He goes, oh, I'm roping? And I said, you're you're doing what he says, I'm roping. No, g By the way, it's an apostrophe, and he said, I've been doing this since a little kid. I said, h my, hey, by the way, what I just decided to start roping today? What might happen to me?

Because I don't think you want to do that. Gil, that's it was not an Oklahoma, he said, Oklahoma by you kill Alexander. That's pretty good, buddy. By the way, the Seahawks have lost twice at home the year, but they lost the Rams in the famous Todd Gurley got a first down. No, you didn't get a first down. We're not gonna say anything. Try to get another first down. Rams and they did. Finally, we're Jared goff to remember that spot where you like clearly passed the first time.

They're like, no, actually it didn't. Try. Announcer said nothing. So they lost the Rams, they lost the Chargers. No shame in those two losses at home for Seattle thus far this year should be a good one. Tonight, Seahawks favorite by three. All right, let's get some week fifteen Sunday lines. Okay, actually two games on Saturday. Oh, Saturday this week. I forgot where that time of ye So two games on Saturday this week. Five bowl games in two NFL A Pacific and a five Pacific start. All right,

Texans at the Jets. Jets with a come from behind victory yesterday. Yeah, other team battling my uh. I made two season win total bets when CG Technology put them out first here in Nevada. One was Houston over eight and a half. That's a casher already. The other one was the Jets. Because I love the number five. I got the best of it all of a sudden, it's pushable. It's feeling very pushable. Houston lost to the Colts yesterday, so Houston's nine game winning streak is snapped their nine

and four. It's not really much bad to say about the Texans. You know, they weren't gonna win every game, but they lose twenty four to twenty one. Deshaun Watson thirty eight for two sixty seven, one touchdown note picks. He was sacked five times, though also carried it five times thirty five yards. Uh. DeAndre Hopkins held the thirty six yards on four catches. That's probably the biggest outlier

for the Texans yesterday. Houston will visit the Jets here and then the Eagles before hosting Jacksonville in the finale of the regular season. Even with their loss, Houston still has a two game lead on the Colts with three to go in the a f C South for Colts very much alive for a wild card spot. Um Colts started slow in that game Yester, but then and didn't have a first down until early in the By the way, that looks pretty good. Andrew luck pretty when he's not

throwing picks. Last year with the injury, started off a little slow, kind of looked right that first month kill We were wondering, boys, he healed. He's been terrific. I have a Colts to win the a f C South ticket it's not gonna get there. Boy was, and boy am I rooting for them. But you know the Jets, as you say, come from behind to beat the Bills yesterday.

Sam Donald sixty one touchdown, one pick. Uh Elijah McGuire running back who was in there because uh, well just because there was there was no one else on the roster. Isaiah Crowell had left the game with the shoulder injury in the second quarter, so he was the next man up. He scored on a fourth and goal. Elijah McGuire did uh fourth and goal run from the one yard line with one seventeen remaining, a KABA drive during which Donald

completed three of five passes for fifty two yards. That was the slowest to develop one yard run you will ever see in your life. Last it eternity, but he got there. It's just if you had the Jets and Bets yesterday, You're like, get there, get there, and he there you go. Um Donald very good. Thirty seven yard passed on that final drive to Robby Anderson, so he had his moment. That's his first start Donald since missing

three with a strain right foot. He had to leave the game in the middle of the first quarter, left first series hurting the same foot, came back. Jets snap a six game losing streak, um bounce back after a week after squandering a sixteen to nothing lead against Tennessee which they lost two and uh Todd Bowles selecting the gamble after Donald will stop to the one on third and goal from the four and the Jets special teams

is what's getting it done for them. They blocked a field goal at the end of the first half, also had other big plays. So this is the The Texans at the Jets. The Texans will be favored, I will say, on the road by six, six and a half right there? Good and again seconds Saturday game now the evening game Pacific. The Brownies at the Broncos. Broncos so none of themselves yesterday not exactly the sexiest games on Saturday, still five primetime game. Folks, love they love the love the Browns.

They the Browns are the they are the NFL darlings. Browns five, seven and one, and now the Broncos six and seven after going into San Francisco and getting beat Did they miss Sanders yesterday? Yeah? And and Chris Harris on defense they played. Uh, give the ninerscord A Niners a good game. George Kittle on my fantasy opponent destroyed me. Baker Mayfield for Cleveland yesterday. Cleveland beats the Panthers, will

get to the Panthers. Baker Mayfield eighteen and twenty two for two thirty eight, one touchdown, no picks, sack just once. The Browns had a grand total of twelve first downs in this game. Beat the Panthers twenty six to twenty as a closing pick him here at the South Point Hotel Casino. Uh. Brown's keeping their faint playoff hopes alive. They're three and two. Get this, Vinie there, three and

two under Greg Williams, their interim coach. He needed just five games to match former Brown's coach Hugh Jackson's win total over two plus seasons. Big move to the Browns yesterday. Remember we talked last week where the game opened Panthers one. I thought there would be a you know, I thought it would actually close Brown's favor. Here it ran to the Panthers too. There were actually might have been some two and a halves out there yesterday Saturday night and

all yesterday before kickoff. All Browns, All Browns and the brown Panters. We talked about with home road splits. Right, Brown's four two and one at First Energy Stadium, Brown's clinching their first winning home season since seven and one under Romeo Crannell back in two thousands seven. But Mayfield had a sixty yard pass to Brashard Perryman, excuse me, a sixty six yard pick up on this a first

past of the game, first play of the game. Uh. Then he had a fifty one yard touchdown passing the traffic to Landry later Baker Mayfield, Man, he just outplayed Cam Newton so legitimately, and we'll get to the Panthers. But Cam Newton the worst touch of any quarterback I've ever seen in goal to ghost situations. Cam, how about some finesse on these, but he's like whipping them to

guys there. Did he make a comment this week and again it's got nothing to do with the touch that he may have shoulder surgery again in the offseason, Cam, Yeah, I thought so. The Panthers Denver, as we mentioned, they go into San Francisco, they lose. Um, they were in the driver's seat when we when you looked at their schedule. I made a big deal about Dan Bailey getting cut, and I'm like, for three and a half million dollars savings in the league that's decided by it's working out quite well for them with with Brett matter.

The Cowboys out gained the Eagles and yards five seventy six to two fifty six, four thirty four to two twenty two in the air, one forty two to thirty four on the ground, nine d three total plays to almost double the amount of plays. Cowboys were eight of sixteen on third downs, the Eagles were one of nine. But Dallas was minus two in turnovers and they committed eleven penalties for a hundred and eleven yards. And that's why a lot of the reason

why I went to overtime. By the way, it did go over overtime, and the Cowboys had the ball for almost the entire overtime before but they ended up with forty seven. The time of possession was for the Eagles was twenty two thirty two. Uh Dak Prescott. Uh, here's the thing. With all those gaudy stats, he's still terrible pass. the Colts. Here. The Colts, as we mentioned, beat the Texans Andrew Lucky forty one um in that ball game. T Y Hilton nine catches one forty one for three ninety nine for Andrew Luck, two touchdowns, one one pick, four thirty six totally yards of offense for the Colts in that game against the Texas UH Colts by three period. the scrum for the wild card, right, very nicks. The next game up Lions in Buffalo to play the Bills. That's another bad game, by the way Brent Musburger brought up with. But this was this was terrific. I believe the Bills put out a notice over the weekend. Going in the weekend, any fan that shows up to shovel snow and clear out Orchard Park Stadium gets in the game for free. Ah. I loved it. That's awesome. Boy, there's a good incident because otherwise, Yeah, those fans would

to really harp on anything else. With the Packers at the Bears, a rematch of the opening game. Was that opening Monday night, the one where the Packer where Rogers was Rogers hurting that game. It was a miracle at halftime back and yeah, we didn't know if he was going to play. In the second that we thought he wasn't, and the and there he came there he came Superman, right. Packers want to know with Joe Philbin as head coach, they crushed the Falcons yesterday. Man Matt Ryan melts in

cold weather just like Jared Goff does. Packers winning thirty four to twenty. They covered three and a half point spread. Aaron Rodgers thirty two, one, two touchdowns, no picks, sacked four times. But you know what is it? They beat a warm weather team on a cold day at Lambeau by building a big lead and winning a turnover margin. That's a good formula. Joe Philbin using all his challenges within the first ninety seconds of that game. Sweat Joe.

You can space these out over the full game. Joe doesn't have to be the first ninety second defense force two turnovers, first takeaways. for the six time in seven games. Khalil Mckakeem Hicks, they had sacks, ro Quan Smith, Prince i'm Mukamara, Eddie Jackson, Kyle Fuller, they all had picks against Jerry goff Um. But the Bears with Drabinsky like that, Like, I just don't think you can. Like how many people are gonna bet on the Bears in the playoffs and then Drabinsky is just going to let them down. A lot of

people are gonna bet on the Bears on the playoffs. Um, you know, I I know there's a lot of UH A lot being said about I would say this, I'd like to he needs more season I'm gonna give him UH the opportunity to get more seasonings. We only played thirteen games, right games at Caroline. Now, I have to tell you, this defense, whether you're a Bears fan or not, it's phenomenal. As a football fan, you've got to appreciate

this defense. No, particularly it's speed and the way they read schemes, and I mean it's it's as it's as good at defense as we've seen in in quite some times. It's not the eight five Bears, but it's pretty damn not. But I'll tell you what. It reminds you, right, it makes you talk about whenever listen, Whenever I say whenever I see fifty eight, I always think Wilbur Marshall when they're playing, No, for sure, I mean the monsters of the Midway or they're all right, yeah, how many times

have you heard that? This year? So Bears nine and four now, um, looking good in the NFC North. They're hosting the Packers, who are holding on a slim playoff hopes. Here. This is an interesting line to make here because the most again recency with the Bears last night, and then's the Packers and you're like, okay, well they beat the falcon at home again. We just said warm weather team,

Dome team. I'll say Chicago because it's the Packers, because like, you can't make Chicago six here, I'll say Chicago flour and a half six and a half. Okay, Chicago by six and a half, six and a half Bears? Wow? We uh and and Chris texted me. Chris Andrews texted me too. There was a thought maybe that to not have it quite that high, but after last night, definitely. Yeah, it's recently play and and again, you know, when you think back to that first game, and obviously it was

the start of the season. Khalil Mack was so it was his first game. Um, and we thought the Packers would be better the Bears. Really, I thought they got a little conservative, particularly in the fourth quarter of that game. I thought the Bears the Bears. We should have won that game. The Bears were not as conservative. They don't finish, you know, have you noticed this about that? They don't this game as well. And I think thought the play

calling got a little too conservative there. But again, hey, credit the Packers that night. Weather's not a factor here. But these are both cold weather teams, so you can't you know, it's not like the you know, the Falcons going into Green Bay yesterday or the Rams going into Chicago last night. So I don't. I don't think whether's enters into it. This is just a matter of you know who the the much better team is and certainly

the better defense here. Rogers certain running for his life here. Yeah. But and and re energized Packers without Mike McCarthy has been a thing here. That's another factor. Right. Let me just say this. Okay, six and a half seem a litt high to me, but I'm not gonna go nuts about it. I will say this. Last night, warren't Sharp tweeted out something finally that me and my buddy E have been talking about. He first brought this up to

my to buy attention. So I give him all the credit because this was not something I had noticed, but he said to me, so my. My two least favorite rules in the NFL are when you fumble through the end zone, the other team gets the ball. I do not understand that rule. Why it's so punitive. What's the logic? Why does the other team get the ball? Does not make sense to me. The next worst rule is that an offensive player a defensive player comes in the same

area code as your head or your face mask. It's a flag, but an offensive player Derrick Henry to the house for ninety nine yards can stick his hand all up in your face mask and wrangle with it and they won't call anything. Right. That's that's the second most The second rule that bothers me, second worst. But the third is what my buddy pointed out Warren Sharp finally pointed out yesterday on Twitter, because we've been trying to

like isolate what it is exactly. But the Bears were up in this game yesterday, about seven plus minutes left in the game, and they set up for a punt and they take a false story. They take a delay of game penalty. I believe it was or was it a fall start here? Five yards of five year ode? Okay, false star penalty is what it was. And then the clock, their play clock, and the game clock. Most importantly, the

game clock restarts. And so there is a there is a loophole in the rules in the NFL where a team that's up and I believe you can do this north of five minutes, because my buddy and I, again we've been trying to isolate how far down can you do this too? But as long as you're more than five minutes left in the game. The team ahead can milk almost an entire minute off the clock at that point, and there's nothing the defensive team can do about it. If you decline, the penalty is the clock, but you

still lose the time. It doesn't matter. So it's a gamesmanship thing. There's a loophole in the rules, and they've got to do something about that. And the Bears employed it last night, and the announcers oblivious as every We're like, oh, maybe he just needs five more yards. I had nothing to do with that. They were taking. The time means more than the five yards at that point in the game. Tom in that case, Tom is points right, absolutely so.

And it's a it's a number, as Michael Lombardi famously says, you should equate it to a number of plays available to so good good coaching for for Matt Naggy and the Bears. And they knew exactly what they were doing. So you're saying, it's six and a half, the Bears six and a half against the Packers. Let's take a break.

Jordan Reid injured his right foot in the first quarter and did

not return. That's, by the way, that's the kicker for all Redskins did the one guy who has been the only that he's been hurt his whole career, right, he can never stay in the lineup. And the one year where everybody else got hurt except for him, and now he got hurt too. Jackson listen, Jacksonville, who's four and nine? They should be like a six point favorite minimum in this game. I'll say six seven Gods, Sorry, I said that seven Redskins mathematically alive to win the NFC East.

game is not posted simply because of Ben Roethlisberger's status. Now, he was, he was in the game at halftime, right before halftime, and we didn't notice he did not come back to start the second he he didn't come back until I think there's steel his less possession. He didn't play for four drives, which was rather curious, and we were trying to figure out was a concussion and apparently it was ribs rib injury. Yeah, so, um, I don't know what his status is. So we don't have a line.

You don't have a line on this one. New England is at Pittsburgh. That's okay. So along with the Thursday night game, this is your marquee game. Ah, this will be a good game. Yeah, nine and four Patriots two game lead in the a f C East, and the and the Steelers who have a half game lead at seven four and one in the a f C North over the race and the Steelers with a don't forget they have this game and then I think next week

they go to New Orleans. Right, yeah, they know they have a date with New it's the Saints, but it's in New Orleans. It's rough for the Steelers. The Steelers on themselves out of the playoffs entirely. Perhaps it could be Tom Brady. Actually, can we just well, let's talk about this game even though we don't have aligne because I want to talk about the Patriots, because I think Bill Belichick deserves some criticism. Can I do that? Is it?

Are we allowed to criticize the Patriots? Well, especially when you can, when when you can emulate him so good as you do? Wait, made one more play than we did. Brady twenty seven forty three yesterday for three fifty nine for the Patriots, three touchdowns. Note pics, sack twice, Gronk eight catches one oh seven and a touchdown. They were nine of sixteen on third down, possessed the ball for

thirty five minutes four seconds. But here's the deal. Gostkowski missed an extra point for the first time in thirty eight tries this season. Early in the game. He also missed a forty two yard field goal try and then his his thirty two yard or. But then he did hit a thirty two yard or to cap of fifty five yard drive that put the Patriots that had thirty left. But here's the delia in this Miami miracle, which the

Dolphins ended up winning thirty four to thirty three. Bill Belichick the greatest coach to some of all time, not to me, but to some. He opted to have Gostkowski kick a twenty two yard or in the closing seconds rather than go for it on fourth down that, if it had failed, would have pinned the Dolphins near the goal line. Instead, Miami returns the ensuing kickoff to the thirty one and on the next play pulled off the miracle.

Uh and the Patriots, that should be mentioned, squandered a scoring chance at the end of the first half, fourteen seconds left, no time outs. Brady takes the snap of the Miami two and it gets sacked by Robert Quinn. The clock runs out, leaving the Patriots with a twenty one lead at that point. So so the Patriot blow it at the end of the first half, and some might say they blow it with the decision at the

right at the end of the second half. If this were another coach, we would murder them for that decision, right we might. If it was a guy that we are used to, that was Jason Garrett, we'd go after him. So if it's Bill Belichick, it deserves to be mentioned. Now. I didn't I didn't hate it at the time because what are the chances? Right? Well, but you would leave that little would you even be talking about it? I

guess the miracle doesn't of course. I think the biggest the most curious aspect again though, was Gronkowski is the last defender, right? That's the other thing. Just trying to understand why, because there was no way to Tannehill was going to throw a seventy five yard hail Mary. It's Kenyan Drake. I swear he's looking for somebody aloud to He's like, oh my god, there's nobody here. Yeah, but the angle not quite. But the Steelers do go to New Orleans next week, so there there. Rode is tough.

They've struggled against the Patriots. Remember this, this was a game last year. I want to say the Steelers, I think we're a field goal favorite. And that was the controversial no catch. Yes, this is the Jesse James no catch catch and uh certainly which would have been a catch today. Which yeah, it changed the rule because of that incident right in the off season and the UH petition committee apparently apparently they changed it beforehand because again,

as we said, the well different thing. But but anyway, Yeah, Steelers are in dire straits right now at this point. Steelers Big Bend yesterday twenty five of twenty nine for two eighty two, two touchdowns. Note picks Joshua Dobbs in his uh in lieu of big ben for I believe it was four drives four of nine for twenty four and a pass a rating of twelve point zero, no touchdowns. One pick. Juju is amazing. Oh yeah, my opponent and fantasy all said Juju too. Eight catches one thirty two touchdowns.

I had no shot. Great catch, that touched touchdown catch was picture perfect, beautiful. And then that hook and lateral to set up what would have been a game tying field goal that Boswell slipped on that was unbelievable to Roethlisberger returned from a ridge a rib injury to lead

the go ahead touchdown that car answered. Then he connects the short pass to James Washington, who flipped it to Juju, who raced down the sideline for forty three more yards to set up Boswell's chance, but lost the footing Steelers seven five and one. Excuse me, I messed up their record earlier third straight loss. They were seven two in one. Their seven five and one all decided in the final minutes,

and Pittsburgh went scoreless on those four drives. It was four drives with Joshua Dobbs Boswell, by the way, that should be pointed out. The Steelers we're looking at were mentioning the very first thing we said on this show. Every good team is flawed in this league. There is no great team that has no weakness. I even argued that the Chargers are the most balanced team. You know what, Pittsburgh, one of their Achilles heels Is. Chris Boswell has now

missed six field goals and five extra points. Six field goals and five extra points. With his eleven miss kicks, that ranks is the worst in the NFL. Boswell had this to say about that quote, It's terrible. What else do you want me to say? Unquote? I will imagine with sight unseen, Pittsburgh is gonna be about a four point favorite, that's my guest. No less than three healthy if it's Ben. I have to tell you, even with Ben,

I'm not sure that the Steelers are favorite. Here we go, really this this this is a team that's got them so figured out too when you think about it. Watch remember that we talked about it last week with the Chargers. How the matchups defensively, Like if you look at Steeler games against the Patriots, you say, these guys are wide open?

How are they because they play so soft. We've gone back and forth on this and have some varying opinions, but it's it's gonna be tough to make the Steelers a favorite against the Patriots given the Patriots success against him and the fact that you mentioned the kicking game for the Steelers, and I have to tell you their defense is not good. New England is three and four on the road this year. Straight up, They've lost four road games. New England to me is a like the

the athletics. They're flawed to don't get me work, So sorry interrupt, but I'm just saying the teams speed on the Steelers versus the team speed on the Patriots day and night. I can't you say New England is gonna be favorite. It's gonna I don't think. So. We'll see

power rating wise. It's close to pick them. So you know, you would say, well, the Steelers have the home field, right, but after yesterday though, I think power reading wise now the adjustment is, uh, New England probably one one, maybe one and a half power reading and then I like the third team. Then I like the Steelers. I really do Steelers. Again, the Steelers good, it'll be it'll be especially if Roethlisberger plays, it will be one of the

higher A bit games weekly. If it's just said, well, yeah, I mean, we're talking about Roethlisberger play and I have to believe he's Please look curiously, because they were struggling, we were trying to figure out why didn't come back sooner? Why just that? Why that drive? I don't know. Yeah, there was a little of that, wasn't I mean, you're just kind of going win a second. I mean, this is a this is a game. They need the game.

They have to have the game. Uh. If you open up the playbook with Big Ben right like immediately you open up the rhythm, listen. In fairness to Dobbs, he had receivers open. But this is such a everything is pretty kated on timing, right, and he was just a half second off on his throws and and it showed, so Ben the rhythm. It just if you're watching the game, you just see a flow of things and look, he's It's funny you bring that up. Because there was a

little bit of that. I was like, well, you're thinking at a non show, he's coming back. Well this seems dire. I guess I'll come in there, right, I mean it was so I thought it was rather curious, to say the least. All Right, we got the primetime games and the Ravens had already lost. So and the Ravens had already lost, We've got two games left were still after the breaklest Sunday night and Monday night, all right, let's take no flex. We didn't mess up on the flags?

baseball season. I would say all the time when I would go through, you know, bets, you're not required to watch this major League baseball, I will say the same of those four games. But you're required the wager you are if you are question, you imagine acquirement to water on the Let's do Sunday night, Sunday night, the Eagles at the Rams. And of course the Eagles, you wonder, uh, had they won last night yesterday with this would certainly

uh have impacted the number. But yes, uh, if the Eagles had one, they'd be in a tie with the Cowboys with a one game lead over the skinnies. M I also want to throw that in, but instead they lose. They get If you look at the box score, and we went through it earlier with the Cowboys, they just dominated in the box score. Cowboys three winners in overtime, covering three and a half points. Carson went three touchdowns no pick sack twice for the Eagles. Um Wentz answered

the seventy five yarder Domari Cooper. This is the thing about the scale. Okay, there's so much to say here. That game yesterday that Dallas got her seventy five yard touchdown that was called back for offensive p I. Oh my god, after that, you could call them makeup theory right after the sequence or minute and a half sequence was it was awful. This is three straight Yeah. The Randy Gregory roughing the pastor was makeup right after that, for sure. This is three straight games in Dallas where

the refereeing has been horrific. I would argue that the one on Thanksgiving was very much against the Redskins. There was a offensive and there was a there was a p I not called, there was a targeting nut called. But I will say the last two against the Saints, against the Eagles, it was just both sides bad reffing. But that Dallas got her, Like where where was that? Uh? The Eagles made up for it. They still matriculated down the field and tied it up. But man, it shouldn't

have taken that. Uh they scored anyway, when's leading a more methodical march to his third touchdown past the X yard or too? Darren Sproles for twenty three tie Eagles out gained to thirty three to seventy before halftime. And uh, then there's the Rams, the Rams Los as we mentioned to the Bears. Um Golf twenty forty four, no touchdowns, four picks, sack three times. It's a career high four picks. His passer rating nineteen point one. Jared Golf melts in

cold weather, Like what happens to that dude? And cold? I get He's a Callie kid. Listen, I grew up on the East Coast and I lived in California for for a long time as an adult, and I even say to myself, I've gotten Callie soft with weather. But can I just say this, Uh, Like you know, I hate to I hate to go, like get off my lawn here. But like when I was eight nine years old school, I went to back there in d C. Like we had mandatory full pad football, even if it

was ice on the ground. Like we're eight years nine years old just getting crushed in ice. We manned up Vinny when we were eight nine years old. Jared go off as like a professional athlete. He looked, he looked like he wanted to be anywhere else. But in that game last night I said in my buddy, I was like, does he even like he does? It appears that he does no intention. He does not believe they can win this game, nor does he have any intention of trying.
