The Knicks have turned a fairly quiet offseason into a relatively loud one in just a few days, signing Kemba Walker to follow up the Evan Fournier acquisition. They also extended Julius Randle the next morning. Leon Rose, Scott Perry, Brock Aller, and the rest of the front office deserve some high praise for this one. The Knicks are finally running things professionally again.

The Yankees picked up another series win this week at Yankee Stadium. They defeated the peasant Baltimore Orioles in two of three games, scoring over 10 runs in each of the final two contests. Anthony Rizzo continues to shine as does the starting pitching, capped off by another brilliant performance from July's AL Pitcher of the Month, Jameson Taillon.

It's been a few since we've last talked Knicks basketball. Since then they've drafted a few kids in the first round, made some free-agent acquisitions by adding veteran swingman Evan Fournier and bringing a few guys back from last year, and more. We discuss it all in the latest show.

We are back to discuss all that's been going on lately with the New York Yankees. They made some blockbuster deals, swept the Marlins in Miami, and we get into the four-month progress report later, while grading Cashman's deadline as well. We also touch on some UFC, the Olympics, and more.

The Yankees took two games out of three in their first series back from the All-Star break against the visiting Red Sox. Prior to the two later games the Yankees had lost their first seven versus Boston this season. But they got it together in Game 2 with a gem from Gerrit Cole and then scored nine runs in the final game on Sunday. We discuss the series, talk UFC Vegas 31, and more. If you're watching as opposed to listening I do apologize for the poor lighting as I am currently away on vacation...

After an inconsistent three and a half months of the season, Aaron Boone's Yankees looked like they were finding a way to head into the break on a high note. They took two from Seattle, the first two from Houston, and had a five-run lead in the ninth inning on Sunday night. But for the third time in the past two weeks they allowed at least six runs in the ninth to blow the game. The Astros walked it off, trolled New York to perfection, and the Yankees once again looked at a devastating loss. How...

The Yankees began their road trip this week by taking two out of three in Seattle. Your casual fan will tell you they won the series but at this point in the season if the Yankees are to make a run for the wildcard they need to start sweeping teams, especially clubs like the Mariners. They could not complete that accomplishment this afternoon but as I said I do not care much anymore -- I am simply out on this ballclub. I discuss the M's series briefly and also later get into some MMA with Mike L...

The Yankees keep finding ways to lose and that's what bad teams do. Aroldis Chapman is a mess and the excuses for Aaron Boone need to stop. We go over the subway series and more. Who even cares?

The Yankees got swept this weekend at Fenway in front of over 30,000 fans. They are now 0-6 versus the Red Sux this season and have no business winning the division at this rate. They can't beat anybody in the East and have remained mediocre all season long, equating to a 40-37 record which lands them in fourth place at the moment. The wildcard hunt even remains grim, too. And despite having a track record of trying to ride it out, this is a team who should blow it up from top to bottom before t...

The Bombers followed up their sweep from Buffalo with a series win over the Oakland A's at home. It was the first time since 2019 where Yankee Stadium was open for full capacity. The Yankees had a strong series of games where they came back from deficits in two of them with clutch hitting and good enough pitching. While Taillon sucked on Friday, Domingo was bailed out by Nestor in Game 2 on Saturday, Monty pitched well on Sunday, and Chapman got some help from a triple-play! Gary is hot, Gio is ...

After an abysmal 5-13 stretch, the Yankees finally showed some life in Buffalo. They swept the Jays in three games thanks to some powerful offense. Gary is hot, DJ is swinging the bat well, Gio & Stanton had some big moments, and Gerrit Cole went eight innings! We discuss the series and also had a conversation with Greg from Yankee Crazy Podcast.
Jun 18, 2021•57 min•Ep. 258
This Yankees team is flat out bad. From ownership to the front office to management to the players themselves, the Bombers have some real soul searching to do. They are running out of time quicker than they think.
Jun 15, 2021•58 min•Ep. 257
It looked as if the Yankees ran into the perfect remedy to put an end to their recent misery. They went out and dominated offensively against the Twins. Gerrit Cole had the perfect response to all the hearsay, a lot of guys started to hit, and even the final game looked promising as well. But Aroldis Chapman simply did not have it in the ninth inning on Thursday when surrendering two devastating home runs to take the loss. The Yankees had a shot to get really hot and change the narrative but ins...

After getting swept in Detroit, the Yankees just finished off a four-game set at home where they split with the Rays. We can talk all we want about "accepting the split" against a team that's owned the Yankees, but the bottom line is this team still has just five more wins than losses after 57 games into the season. At some point they've got to stop settling and figure out. Consistently too, not just in spurts. Toronto, Tampa, and Boston -- up next -- are not going away.

The underwhelming play continued this week/weekend for the Yankees. I have no words except a brief rant, and then we run through the two-month progress report. It's not great. This team is bad.

The Knicks got abused on Friday night, dropping their first road game of the postseason. The usual issues continued to read their ugly heads. Julius Randle & RJ Barrett were detestable the entire night while Trae Young got what he wanted on the Knick defense. New York needs to figure out a way to get it together on both sides of the hardwood or else this series is not going beyond five games. They looked as bad as a playoff team could look in Game 3, so hopefully they bounce back before head...

The Knicks bounced back very nicely from their Game 1 loss on Sunday. They got off to another slow start Wednesday but clamped down in the second half while their offense also found some continuity. Reggie Bullock played a key factor, as did Derrick Rose, Taj Gibson, and Julius Randle. We go over the game, evaluate individual performances, and later go through an in-depth film analysis on certain possessions throughout the night.

After all the wait, the Knicks finally took the MSG floor on Sunday night for their first playoff game in eight seasons. Unfortunately it did not end with a win. The Knicks had major issues defending Trae Young in the lanes all night as the Hawks exploited New York's weak pick-&-roll coverage continuously. Adjustments need to be made in many areas for the Knicks to rebound in Game 2 or else they'll be looking at a 2-to-0 series deficit heading into Atlanta. In the latest show I give an in-de...

The Yankees keep winning. They picked up an extremely impressive sweep versus the visiting White Sox, who came into this series with the American League’s best record. The starting pitching was fantastic yet again. Monty, Cole, and Taillon kept the streak alive and threw up zeros. On the other end, guys like Gleyber Torres are starting to heat up, Aaron Judge keeps hitting, and we get to a few more matters as well.

The New York Knicks wrapped up their tremendous regular season with a win against the Boston Celtics. It wasn't pretty -- we almost witnessed another fourth quarter meltdown -- but they pulled away in the end to clinch the four-seed. The Knicks will taking on the Hawks in the first round which begins Sunday at Madison Square Garden. We look ahead to the series, give a breakdown on what needs to happen, and give our final report cards out for the regular season. Also, a hotdog is not a sandwich....

The first two games against the Orioles went great. Gio Urshela had another magical moment late while the bullpen shut it down. In the middle game Domingo picked up yet another quality start while the Yankee bats pounded O's pitching right away and throughout. But New York dropped the third game of the set when Jordan Montgomery and the pen coughed up the big lead. We go over the series and more.

After a devastating loss to the Lakers earlier this week, the Knicks ended up getting a playoff berth the next night when Boston lost to Miami. For the first time in eight years they will be headed back to the postseason. In this one we revisit some personal memories from the past as a Knicks fan, discuss the playoff seeding, and later dive into the victory over the Spurs from Thursday.

The Yankees took two out of three this week at the Trop. The pitching was sharp in the first two — Gerrit Cole dominated — but Taillon and the pen flopped in the finale while the bats remained lifeless and boring. The Yankees took another series victory this weekend in the Bronx. They concluded their homestand at 7-2 with a pair of walk-off wins by Gleyber Torres & Giancarlo Stanton. Torres also got his first homer of the season out of the way. Meanwhile, Yankee starters continue to hold it down. Jameson Taillon, Corey Kluber, and Domingo Germán all gave New York some quality outings. We also discuss some UFC as we welcomed back Anthony, who you can find on Instagram @antaconda . After winning 12 of their last 13 games the Knicks have hit a two-game skid. They were ran out of the gym in Denver the other night, letting Nikola Jokić do what he pleased, and then melted down late in the third against the Suns last night. Deandre Ayton killed New York down the middle and the Knicks also let Phoenix get hot from three. Check it out as we summarize these two games and break some things down in the latest show!

For the first time since the big scandal the Astros returned to Yankee Stadium with fans in the seats. The Bronx did not disappoint. Yankees fans jeered, chanted, held up some creative signs, and made it visibly difficult for those cheating scumbags to play in that atmosphere. The first two games went exactly as you wanted them to. The Yankees slugged Astro pitching to their fourth & fifth victories in a row. They then had a shot to sweep today which would've made for a flawless script but t...

The New York Yankees needed a series like this. Yes, it was against the lowly Tigers but Aaron Boone's team was desperate for wins heading into the weekend. With the sweep things are now looking more promising as New York is 14-14 and just 2.5 games out of first place. The lineup is hitting again, the starting pitching is giving them more length, and the bullpen has remained super consistent. And with one month in the books, we go over our first progress report in this episode, grading the Yanke...
