Just like the market economy, our power, or better yet, our empowerment is in our choice - how we choose to spend (our attention). By getting clear on and defining our values, we can make aligned, empowered choices about what we give our attention to and how we spend our time. Our empowerment is based on discerning and deciding for ourselves what we want to participate in, what we want to consume, and how we want to live our lives, regardless of the status quo. (Just because it’s the norm doesn’t mean it’s the best for our well-being, for our lives, and for humanity as a whole.)
