Nic Marks is a statistician with a slightly weird speciality - happiness. For the last three decades he has been creating measures of people's quality of life - with an increasing emphasis on their emotional experience and happiness.
His strong proposition is that by measuring people's happiness, it kick-starts a process which builds happiness.
The proposition really works well at scale and over the years he has learned this through his work with:
- The British Government designing national wellbeing indicators
- The kingdom of Bhutan measuring their Gross National Happiness
- And many businesses large and small
Nic also gave a very popular TED talk.
