On March 7, 1965 around 600 people crossed the Edmund Pettus Bridge in an attempt to begin the Selma to Montgomery march. On Feb 21, 2016 at 7:00 P.M. It's Our Time with Patricia A-B will bring to you Dr. Craig who as a teenager participated in the march. Born in Selma, Alabama during the time of segregation, Dr. Criag faced the social challenges of the south. An active participant i nthe Civil Rights Movement Dr. Craig has shared some of her personal stories in AARP'S publication "Voices of Civil Rights". Dr. Craig feels privileged to have been in the presence of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. during his visits to Selma's Brown Chapel and Green Street churches.
Mary Liuzzo Lilleboe is the daughter of the Civil Rights activists Ms. Viola Gregg Liuzzo killed by Klan while tranporting marchers on the Selma Hightway, AL. Mary keeps preserves her mother's memory by sharing her story through-out the U.S. and abroad.
