2 Cents of My Sense & Other Nonsense

2 Cents of My Sense and Other Nonsense is a short weekly program featuring insightful and inspiring two-cents with the aim of providing you things to consider so you can live your best life possible. While journeying through Los Angeles VP stumbled upon a radio magazine and began writing, producing and hosting 2 Cents of My Sense and Other Nonsense - a feature program about commentary and news on a variety of topics. The program used to feature a hodgepodge of DJ stints, insights into spirituality and self-image, and original short stories. As VP refined her voice, this podcast has become more about spreading the insight gained from observations in her own life. She hopes her listeners will be able to gain a fresh perspective and breath of fresh air from listening to Val's 2 cents as she gains from writing and hosting. Comments are welcome! BLISSings :-)

*Special Report* - Feng Shui, Your Power Direction and Internet Marketing

An event I attended two evenings ago exceeded my expectations to the point where I felt inspired to do a second podcast episode for the week. The event featured presentations from three knowledgeable speakers: internet marketing guru Koz Khosravani, inspirational speaker/author Ellie Drake and feng shui master and featured expert of the movie The Secret, Marie Diamond. Their pearls of wisdom definitely made an impact on me. Ellie and Koz's information wasn't necessarily brand new to me, but the ...

I Dare You to Offend Someone: A Parable

At the end of the day, which voice should you listen to: the voice of logic or the voice within (otherwise known as your gut or intuition)? Feeling vs. logic and YOU - that's the subject of today. Now what does offending someone have to do with all this? And what does the new Star Trek movie have to do with this subject? Hmmm. Guess you'll just have to listen in to find out. Set aside 5 minutes, get relaxed and have a listen. You won't regret you did. www.My2CentsandNonsense.com

Scaredy Cat, Remember Your First Time

What does driving manual transmission have to do with giving a public speaking presentation? In this episode Paule Valerie uses examples from both situations above to address how you can approach a first time nervewracking situation rather than retracting like a scaredy cat. Everyone gets scared and worried about trying new things, but the key is - how do you respond to that fear? Set aside 6 minutes, have a seat and have a listen. www.My2CentsandNonsense.com

Everyone's Running Their Own Race So Mind Your Own Business

This week Paule Valerie discusses when "comparing" yourself to another is beneficial and when it turns deadly. We all do it but oft times you should really just mind your own business. She also provides a recent example of an internal rebuttal she used against that wandering comparing mind. Take notes! All this in just over 5 minutes! www.2CentsandNonsense.com

Pretty vs. Attractive: Reflections

Is there a difference between being pretty, attractive or beautiful? Which model on the right is "pretty"? Are they both attractive? What features make someone beautiful? I explore these notions in this show. Being Alive Doesn't Mean You're Living

Each morning I read a quote from the calendar-formatted book "Offerings:Buddhist Wisdom for Every Day". A series of quotes on the topic of impermanence and death inspired me to write a journal reflection. Part of that reflection is featured in this show. No worries, the show isn't as grim as it appears. ::SIDE NOTE:: The artist of this charcoal image on the right is the late Barry Burman. Info on his work can be found at www.gallery12.info in the "Press Releases" section.
