In a stunning return to form, this fortnight we have Simpson Tide! Homer joins the naval reserve in an effort to give back to a country he has taken so much from, but as we can all imagine, ends up doing much more harm than good. A wonderful episode that both Rob and Andy gave a B+, but is far more divisive through the writer-inerers. Anyway, enjoy!!

In this week's episode, Lisa confronts her inevitable cognitive decline on account of the Simpson-gene, and in the B-plot, Jasper freezes himself in the Kwik-E-Mart freezer to see a world into the future. A wonderful season 9 episode which was helped immensely with a really solid B-plot. Enjoy!!

On this week's episode, we see Krusty's decline from hilarity into obscurity, and his eventual triumphant return into a Bill Hicks type character. This is also the Canyonero episode, which is arguably the best Simpsons song of all time (in Andy's very isolated opinion). Anyway, enjoy!!

On this week's episode, Homer joins the Movementarians religious cult and unwillingly drags the rest of the family into it as well. Marge (with the assistance of Lovejoy, Flanders, and to a lesser extend, Willie) help rescue the family and bring the citizens of Springfield back to Christianity. Such a great episode, but very polarising amongst the listeners. Nevertheless, we had a great time putting this one together, and hope you enjoy!!

On this week's episode, Marge joins Red Blazer Realty after being recruited by Lionel Hutz, and Homer buys Snake's hotrod (Lil' Bandit) at the Police seized property auction. This was a bittersweet episode for us because, while it was hilarious, it was also Lionel Hutz last actual appearance on the show as Phil Hartman sadly passed away shortly after this episode aired. On this week's episode, Rob and Andy discuss Andy's wedding, supernatural occurrences, and yeah, a little Simpsons chat thrown in the mix ;) What an absolutely wonderful episode of the Simpsons this is though, it truly had it all. Lisa, after undertaking an archeological dig at the site of a new mega-mall, finds what the townspeople believe to be the remains of an angel. When Apu's mother tells him its time for his arranged marriage Homer convinces him to try to convince her that Marge is his wife. Bart joins a peewee football team on which Nelson is the star quarterback until Homer ousts Flanders as coach and replaces Nelson with Bart. Bart is no Nelson but he does get some advice from Joe Namath. [Synopsis at 9:05]
In this week's episode, Homer buys a gun to protect his family but ends up causing a huge division between himself and Marge in the process. An absolutely brilliant episode, that does a really great job of "toeing-the-line" between the pro and anti gun groups. Enjoy!!
Andy returns from his bucks weekend and Rob is horrified to find he's a nerd (and is not drinking). Also the THOH segments are: 1. Omega Man - a neutron bomb hits Springfield leaving Homer as apparently the last man alive. 2. Fly vs Fly - Bart and a fly merge their DNA. 3. Easy Bake Coven - It's 1649 and Marge is on trial as a witch. [Synopsis at 8:40]
In this week's episode, Lisa's beloved saxophone is accidentally squashed. Marge and Homer recount the story of how Lisa first came about getting her sax, and Bart's story of finding his feet at school. All things considered, a great episode but it wouldn't be many people's favourite despite some funny and heartfelt scenes. Enjoy!!
The most controversial Simpsons episode of all time. The man we know as principal Skinner is revealed to be an imposter named Armin Tamzarian - which makes zero sense in Simpsons cannon but overall we find it to be a really funny episode. [Synopsis at 1:16]
On this episode, Homer is forced to go-back his his most hated city on earth to fetch his car that a drunk Barney dumped between the World Trade Centre buildings. We were both on the same page that this episode might not have been the strongest in terms of plot and laughs, but it’s memorable all the same. Enjoy guys!
Our first fortnightly episode! Bart gets shipped off to military school and Lisa decides to join him voluntarily (as the only female cadet). Bart excels while Lisa is a fish out of water. We’re back to regular scheduled programming this week with S08E20 - The Canine Mutiny. It’s safe to say that this won’t be anyone’s favourite episode of the Simpson, but nevertheless it has some absolute classic moments. This is, of course, the Laddie episode, where Bart acquires the Moneybank Charge Card and proceeds to rack-up a huge credit card bill. Santa’s Little Helper ends up being repossessed by debt collectors in place of Laddie, and Bart goes on a mission to get him back. Enjoy guys!!
