Honestly, she kinda lost me in the beginning of the book, and then it came full circle and I figured out why all that discussion at the front end was life-changing. As a shame researcher, Brene gives practical advice on how identify, and subsequently counter, shame. A must-read for all who are struggling with shame-ridden secrets rotting away at our insides, which I am pretty sure is 99% of us.
