What's the outcome from Wall Street & r/wallstreetbets, how many hours did people work in history, & free market vs capitalism (how are they different).
What's the outcome from Wall Street & r/wallstreetbets?
Will we see bailouts to hedge funds to appease the billionaires? Stricter and harsher penalties on retail investors? Or Venus by Tuesday?
How many hours did people work throughout history? Source
I was actually quite surprised by some of these.
Free market & capitalism. Are they both good? Has one ran it's course? How about we get rid of all "isms".
Free market - an economic system in which prices are determined by unrestricted competition between privately owned businesses.
Capitalism - an economic and political system in which a country's trade and industry are controlled by private owners for profit, rather than by the state.
They both are involved in determining the price and production of goods and services. On one hand, capitalism is focused on the creation of wealth and ownership of capital and factors of production, whereas a free market system is focused on the exchange of wealth, or goods and services.
