The build up to this election week has been a long and hard journey. We figured it was best to address how current political dialogue intersects with the community we share via this podcast. We are so glad to see people are engaged. This year has been tough, and the tensions are high. However, we want to be absolutely clear that the community we are trying to cultivate is a space that includes everyone regardless of their demographics or political leaning. While we want to keep our podcast a lighthearted nostalgic escape from today’s stressors, we have marginalized groups represented not only by our hosts but also in our audience. We won’t tolerate hate speech or rhetoric of any kind that glorifies alienating any part of our community. Before we start the episode, please know that regardless of your background or identifying qualities, there will always be a place for you in this community. As long as we can all commit to being kind and respectful towards one another, the connections we share can and WILL make our community stronger than we ever imagined.
