The Night Gwen Stacey Died - Amazing Spider-Man #121 (1973)
Nothing much to say here, probably the most iconic comic book of all time. But we try to have some fun with it with our guest SuperMarcey.
Nothing much to say here, probably the most iconic comic book of all time. But we try to have some fun with it with our guest SuperMarcey.
We couldn't go to 121 yet, so we're here doing another Spidey '67 commentary. We get another 2 parter! In part 1, Spider-Man battles the Blackie Drago version of The Vulture. And in part 2, he's got to deal with the Winnie the Pooh version of the Spider Slayer, made even creepier with Jonah's grin on it and everyone calling it a robut.
On this week's Web Tales, we take a look at Mysterio's first appearance on the 60's animated series. Watch what is basically a shot for shot remake of the fish bowl head's comic book first appearance but done wackier!
This week, The Hulk continues his rampage destroying Montreal (places that actually exist this time) and will Peter ever get to meet the dude he came up here to visit?
On this week's Web Tales, Peter gets a mysterious telegram for Aunt May that leads him to Montreal! And when gets there, he runs into the Incredible Hulk! Not a good start for Peter in La Belle Province.
This week we head back to the animated Spidey cartoon for some fun before we get to the dark times in the comics. In part 1, Peter heads to Florida to battle the Lizard in the swamp. And in part 2, Electro robs J Jonah Jameson and Spidey has to get the stuff back (much to his chagrin). All that and Marc proves to be very unprofessional with his bad internet and laptop battery! The fun never stops on Web Tales!!
If you thought Spidey had a hard time dealing with The Smasher and The Disruptor on their own, how is he going to deal with both of them at the same time! Also, the identity of The Disruptor revealed! Art is back one more time for the conclusion of this epic trilogy.
If you thought that The Smasher was a big deal last week, wait until you see The Disruptor!!! Art is back for a fun time!
This week we are joined by Art as we look at the 1st appearance of The Smasher, another iconic villain in the likes of A Guy Named Joe, The Looter and Man Mountain Marko. Spidey is in a world of hurt. Also, we put to bed one of our best jokes once and for all, time to find some new material.
We've finally did it, we started doing Spider-Man 60s cartoon commentaries! In the first part, Spidey fights Doc Ock in a cave! And in part 2 he fights ice giants in a giant iceberg!
What happens when Spider-Man runs into Thor randomly in the street? Apparently the end of all time and space! Watch how Spidey helps Thor battle an army of trolls that can potentially end all time!
On this week's Web Tales, Spidey has to clean up the mess that The Vision left in the Baxter Building last issue. Old Ben Grimm shows up and the only reason he doesn't beat Spider-Man to a pulp is an offering of the Puppet Master. What follows is a road trip to Pennsylvania and a secret underground lair.
In this issue of Marvel Team Up, The Vision has too much ice and has to chill on Spider-Man's couch and try not to wake up Harry. One of those things actually happens, so listen and find out what!!! 2KroRqvuc6waGAruEHZO
As Spidey deals with Aunt May, his most deadly foe to date, Hammerhead and Doctor Octopus continue their full on gang war in a rented house in Westchester.
Hammerhead and Doctor Octopus are not friends, that's for sure. How do you settle it? Good old fashioned gang war! That and Spidey faces his greatest threat yet at the end of this issue.
We got everything you need this week! Fight with Doc Ock? Done Peter fighting another bout with the Jorona? Done Introduction of a new villain? Done Ned Leeds's return? Done Only thing missing is Aunt May
On this week's episode, Peter is still looking for Aunt May (maybe she just doesn't want to deal with you anymore Pete!), while at the same time ignoring as many crimes as he possibly can. Also, stay put for perhaps the mother of all Jonah rage fits so far. All that and a surprise return at the end! Make Mine Marvel!!!
On this week's episode, our boy Kraven is back in the house (literally and figuratively?). He's controlling the Gibbon and he's gone one goal in mind; Kill Spider-Man!! Also, Aunt May disappears and Robbie hears the words he's been waiting for his whole life!
This week we see the introduction of one of Spider-Man's most iconic villains. A character so monumental people are clamouring for him 50 years later. A character everyone wants as the lead heel in the next Spider-Man movie! Of course I'm talking about the one, the only, The Gibbon! Oh and also Aunt May runs away. *Apologies for the audio issues this episode. Kraven got a hold of the cut and screwed things up for everyone
On this week's episode, Flash Thompson has been ordered to die by the evil monks! How will he get out of this? Will Peter even bother saving him? And why is Dr. Strange in this story all of a sudden?
A bunch of fanatic monks want Flash Thompson dead. He says it's not his fault, but it's Flash, do you believe him?
On this week's show, Spidey fights his way out of the grips of Spencer Smythes Spider Slayer. Also why does Flash Thompson now have a Canadian accent (in our minds anyway).
On this episode of Web Tales, Peter's identity is revealed to Spencer Smythe. See how Spidey gets out of this jam! Plus, more new crime bosses!!
In this episode, Spencer Smythe is back with a vengeance with an all new Spider Slayer model. But his plans are much grander that just getting back at Spidey. All this and an ad that will show you how save a forest with your Canadian Tuxedo.
Spidey is still fighting Morbius, but this time he ditches The Human Torch as a partner and trades him in for the X-Men. What kind of shenanigans (and possible sexual misconduct) happens? Tune in to find out!!!
Morbius is still out on the hunt and only the team up of Spidey and Human Torch can stop him. Which means we're all kind of screwed since these 2 cannot get along!
Last episode we found out Kraven the Hunter was the man controlling Gog in a bid to take over the Savage Land and take Gwen Stacy as his queen. Good thing Peter brought his Spidey suit with him on this trip.
In this episode of Web Tales, the Daily Bugle is not doing so well. Jonah's brilliant plan : follow some crazy guy who says he saw a monster in the Savage Land when he went to the arctic. So, he drags along Peter and Gwen on this little escapade. Things go from bad to worse, especially when an old foe of Spidey's shows up.
In this episode of Web Tales, Spidey not only has to deal with having 6 arms, but also needs to face off against Morbius and The Lizard! Who will win? Who will lose all their blood? And what's going on with Gwen? Thank you to our special guest Matthew Goudreau for joining us this episode!
Morbius, the Living Vampire, makes his first appearance and he's looking for blood, 6 arm Spider-Man blood! Join us for a new era of Marvel comics as thing get a little darker, a little more violent and a little more bloody!
