I went to see a musical yesterday.

Notre-Dame de Paris

你知道巴黎圣母院这个音乐剧吗？

nǐ zhī dào bā lí shèng mǔ yuàn zhè gè yīn yuè jù ma ？

Do you know the musical Notre-Dame de Paris?

在我大学的时候

zài wǒ dà xué de shí hou

When I was in university

有一次我悄悄跑到一个教室里面去听课

yǒu yī cì wǒ qiāo qiāo pǎo dào  yī gè jiào shì lǐ miàn qù tīng kè

Once I secretly went to a classroom to attend the class.

那个教室里面不知道在上什么课

nà gè jiào shì lǐ miàn bù zhī dào zài shàng shén me kè

I didn't know what class was being taught in that classroom.

老师在投影上面放了一个视频

lǎo shī zài tóu yǐng shàng miàn fàng le yī gè shì pín

The teacher played a video on the projector.

我在最后一排看

wǒ zài zuì hòu yī pái kàn

I watched from the last row.

哇，我就被这个音乐剧吸引了

wā ， wǒ jiù bèi zhè gè yīn yuè jù xī yǐn le

Wow, I was attracted by this musical.

它的歌真好听呀

tā de gē zhēn hǎo tīng ya

Its songs are really nice.

后来回到宿舍，我就去搜索了一下

hòu lái huí dào sù shè ， wǒ jiù qù sōu suǒ le yī xià

Later, when I got back to the dormitory, I searched for it.

才知道这个音乐剧就叫巴黎圣母院

cái zhī dào zhè gè yīn yuè jù jiù jiào bā lí shèng mǔ yuàn

I just knew that this musical is called Notre-Dame de Paris.

过了这么十几年

guò le zhè me shí jǐ nián

After more than ten years.

终于，我在成都看到了真的巴黎圣母院音乐剧

zhōng yú ， wǒ zài chéng dū kàn dào le zhēn de bā lí shèng mǔ yuàn yīn yuè jù

Finally, I saw the real musical Notre-Dame de Paris in Chengdu.

而且非常非常好的是

ér qiě fēi cháng fēi cháng hǎo de shì

And what's really great is that

整个故事、歌曲、舞蹈，包括那些大型道具

zhěng gè gù shì 、 gē qǔ 、 wǔ dǎo ， bāo kuò nà xiē dà xíng dào jù

The whole story, songs, dances, including those large props.

基本都跟录像里面的是一样的

jī běn dōu gēn lù xiàng lǐ miàn de shì yī yàng de

are basically the same as in the video.

当然，演员已经不是录像里的那些演员了

dāng rán ， yǎn yuán yǐ jīng bù shì lù xiàng lǐ de nà xiē yǎn yuán le

Of course, the actors are not the same as those in the video.

我去到音乐厅

wǒ qù dào yīn yuè tīng

I went to the concert hall.

人特别特别多

rén tè bié tè bié duō

There were really a lot of people.

大多数是女性

dà duō shù shì nǚ xìng

Most of them were women.

还有一些是陪同她们的男性

hái yǒu yī xiē shì péi tóng tā men de nán xìng

And some men accompanying them.

有少数是带着小学生来的

yǒu shǎo shù shì dài zhe xiǎo xué shēng lái de

And a few who brought their primary school students.

给他们一些艺术的熏陶是可以的

gěi tā men yī xiē yì shù de xūn táo shì kě yǐ de

It's okay to give them some artistic edification.

但是我觉得他们看不懂

dàn shì wǒ jué de tā men kàn bù dǒng

But I think they can't understand it.

最后演出结束后

zuì hòu yǎn chū jié shù

After the performance finally ended.

演员们手拉着手谢幕的场景

yǎn yuán men shǒu lā zhe shǒu xiè mù de chǎng jǐng

The scene where the actors held hands and took a bow.

都跟录像里面一样

dōu gēn lù xiàng lǐ miàn yī yàng

It's all the same as in the video.

而且令我感到惊奇的是

ér qiě lìng wǒ gǎn dào jīng qí de shì

And what surprised me was that

最后诗人这个角色清唱了一段音乐剧里面的经典曲目

zuì hòu shī rén zhè gè jué sè qīng chàng le yī duàn yīn yuè jù lǐ miàn de jīng diǎn qǔ mù

Finally, the character of the poet sang an a cappella part of a classic song in the musical.

他唱了几句，然后就把双手打开

tā chàng le jǐ jù ， rán hòu jiù bǎ shuāng shǒu dǎ kāi

He sang a few lines, and then opened his arms.

示意让台下的观众一起唱

shì yì ràng tái xià de guān zhòng yī qǐ chàng

Signaled the audience to sing together.

台下居然有很多观众一起唱了这几句法语歌

tái xià jū rán yǒu hěn duō guān zhòng yī qǐ chàng le zhè jǐ jù fǎ yǔ gē

Surprisingly, many audience sang these few lines of French songs together.

我想他们可能是学法语的学生

wǒ xiǎng tā men kě néng shì xué fǎ yǔ de xué shēng

I think they might be students learning French.

我把这一段给大家听一下

wǒ bǎ zhè yī duàn gěi dà jiā tīng yī xià

Now I let you listen to this part.

所以艺术是无国界的

suǒ yǐ yì shù shì wú guó jiè de
