Episode description

My guests published a groundbreaking book on curiosity “Curious Minds: The Power of Connection.”

They propose that there are three main kinds of curiosity, and in this episode, they reveal what they are. Perry noticed three styles of curiosity that repeatedly surface in the history of philosophy and Dani immediately recognized in them different network behaviors.

People often think of curiosity as a personality trait—a kind of inner spark that we just have or do not have, whether about one topic or another or about life in general. The more they studied curiosity, however, the more they were convinced that curiosity is something we practice. Being curious is something we do, more than something we are.
