Episode description

Is it imposter Syndrome, or is it just plain old racism?

Here's the definition of imposter syndrome: "The condition of feeling anxious and not experiencing success internally, despite being high-performing in external, objective ways. This condition often results in people feeling like "a fraud" or "a phony" and doubting their abilities."

However, we have to question, why do we feel this way? Is it due to a system of inequities and structural barriers that have been put in place to make you feel inadequate, or is it just due to being fresh in the job market?

Let's talk about it!

In this episode I'll be discussing:

  • How to determine if it's imposter syndrome or racism
  • How to overcome imposter syndrome and/or deal with microagressions/racsim in the workplace
  • Navigating workplace culture
  • Finding mentors to help you elevate
