Kathy Bryant is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Texas and has a Master’s degree in Education. She has over 40 years of experience working as a school counselor and also providing individual therapy in a psychiatric office. During the last ten years she has focused on learning and supporting caregivers for dementia and Alzheimer’s patients. Kathy shares her personal experience caring for her husband diagnosed with Alzheimer's, discussing the signs, symptoms, and the importance of support systems for caregivers. She emphasizes the need for self-care and coping strategies while navigating the challenges of caregiving. The conversation concludes with insights on grief and the ongoing journey of healing after loss.
