In 2004, Stephen Sommers returned to the world of the Universal Studios monsters with Van Helsing, an homage to the monster movies of the 1930's starring Hugh Jackman and Kate Beckinsale. The film was similar in style and tone as Sommer's previous film, The Mummy, but does Van Helsing live up to its predecessor?
