Interview with Dr. Ness Sandoval, he has been conducting research at the intersection of Demographic Techniques and Computational Spatial Science to study spatial inequality in American cities to advance the field of social-environmental synthesis.

He also has an interest in the emerging field of Forensic GISc and the applications of spatial statistics to crime, social, and economic neighborhood disadvantages. Finally, he started several projects that focus on machine learning and spatial-temporal changes in urban areas and hierarchical spatial models for social and economic inequality.

Sandoval is the Associate Director of GeoSLU, Co-Director of the Ph.D. program in Public and Social Policy and the Director of the MA Sociology Program.
