And it's also something else that's a monumentis Chandler true? It's our birthday. Yay, happy birthday, past turning four years old this summer. Can you believe it? We started this way back July seventeenth of two thousand and nineteen. This isn't the before times, you guys.
Yes, this is before everybody and their mother had a podcast. But yes, we're still here, We're still doing the show. We're past one hundred episodes. It's remarkable, it's amazing and yeah, yeah four years, four years of podcasting and no signs of slowing down. It just keeps getting bigger and better. We went from just being little nerds like looking over our nostalgic comics saying like, oh, man, who need to be cool? If we had like Chris Claremont on the show. You know he's the writer,
it would be so epic, like manifest and then like wow. Ever since then, we've had legends, titans of the X universe that we've had conversations with and got to geek out on what their favorite issues of X Men were. What an amazing experience to share with all of you. Everyone who's listening right now. You've been on this journey with us, and I'm so grateful that you're here, and we're going to have continued amazing, exciting adventures
alike. The Uncanny Experience, Yes, you guys, and you probably have heard us talk about this, but if you're just tuning in for the first time, the Uncanny Experience is the ultimate X Men fan destination. be cosplay. But on top of that, we have our immersive layer. If you want to enroll as a student at Xavier Institute, We've got classrooms, We've got cerebro We've got Logan's bedroom, We've got all sorts of stuff going on to immerse yourself into the world of Xavier's mansion. I'm super excited about the fashion as well, because a lot of students who are enrolling have been creating their own original characters and buying the merchandise from our website to do
the school uniforms. My favorite item, I have to say is the Letterman jacket, which you gifted to me, Chandler. It has my name on it. I love it. It's one of my most prized possessions in the world now, my friend, So thank you for that, and I'm so excited to support it on campus. Oh yeah, absolutely know. I love the Letterman jacket. And what's wildly popular is the tank top and shorts the gym uniform so to speak. We created this gym uniform look and the shorts

On that note, On the note of Jubilee, I'm very excited to say that we announced on the fourth of July that the voice actress of Jubilee from X Men, the animated series, Alison Court, is going to be a guest at the event and we are so excited
to have her. Who the fireworks continue as well because we have the Jubilasian Station Arcade presented by two Dcon and in this arcade, within the mansion, which Jubilee I'm sure is going to adore. There is going to be a bunch of X Men arcade machines with all the various X Men games that you know and love from the past, like the Konami game x Men the arcade game. You've got to have that. Of course, you also have a Mortal Kombat two. We've got Street Fighter, We've got x Men Children of
the Atom, We've got x Men Versus street Fighter. We even have you'll probably remember this game from the Supernintendo is called X Men Mutant Apocalypse and oh yeah, that was one of my favorite games on the console. And we actually have an arcade version and console version at the Kenny Experience, so you guys can play Super Nintendo or arcade style, it's up to you. Yes, thank you so much two Dcon for coming in and presenting the Jubilation Station
arcade game room. Yes, and on that note, with two Dcon, they are bringing in the board gaming elements, So if you guys love board games, if you're not a big video game person, that's okay because we got the boards too. But there is going to be a person specialized in Marvel United, which is a game I see every convention and it looks so
cool. And you see all these little figurines of all the different characters from Marvel Universe, X Men and beyond, and they're usually painted beautiful, and you just see them in the cases and you're like, I don't know what this game is, but I want to play it because I want to own all these figures. Anyways, two Dcon is coming in with a Marvel person that's going to teach everybody how to play this game. So Marvel United fans, you guys can play if you want to learn how to play it.
They have all the figurines, They've got shelves and shell of them, and I can't wait. I just literally just want to sit there and play the game all day. I'm so excited to challenge you, my friend. Yes. Well, coming up also later this week is going to be San Diego Comic Con. What knock up on us? I literally had to do a whiplash take my head hurts. Holy moly. Comic Con is here, the ultimate Nerds celebration in existence. Oh my gosh. And we are returning for
our fourth annual X Men fandom panel. This is we say fourth annual, but we've been doing it for years. It's so funny because we've been doing it at Comic Con, wonder Con Special Edition, online edition, so this is probably like the tenth time we've done this panel. But for the sake of whatever annual editions the fourth annual X Men Fandom Panel at San Diego Comic Con proper. Yeah, we will be doing that on Sunday. That's at one thirty pm in Room six A as an Apple yep. And we have
some pretty cool guests like Anemia, who is a fantastic cosplayer. I just saw her post Jubilee on Instagram and I'm like, I need to make this like my wall paper for my phone. She is great, perfect. Yes, we also have the superstar Marvel artist David Nakayama, who does all of these beautiful covers which you've seen Exterminators if you collected that he did all the Exterminators covers, But most importantly he does beautiful hell Fire Gala covers, and
I believe he's actually created some of the designs himself. I believe he created Silo's second year look and it's You can go to Unknown Comics dot com to see all of his exclusive variance with them, and they're the ones that look like Harper's Bazaar where it's the X woman dressed up in her gala look and it says hell Fire like Harper's Bazaar and then has all the lines and everything like that. Anyways, that's David Nakayama and he's on the panel. Oh
my gosh, amazing and his artwork is so beautiful. I'm so excited for that. We also have Warpath Dylan, who you may all know and love from House of X podcast. He is also our co founder of The Uncanny Experience and he'll be on the panel to talk about event production and podcasting and X Men fandom and has so much knowledge and so much wisdom to impart upon the audience. And we also have Michelle Waffle on the panel. She is a well known costplayer and co founder of the hell Fire Gala Walk, which is the organization cosplay group that does these fashion runway struts at various conventions. You might have seen them at wonder Con or La Comic Con. And yeah, so she is also going to be on the panel. She's a wonderful X Men influencer and we adore her. Also, we have toy designer and accept artist Blaine
blainer Things online. Blaine Rodenberg is his real name, but you know him as blainer Things on Instagram and Twitter. He is works with Necca Toys and he is a concept designer toy designer for them. He loves X Men. He doesn't, unfortunately, get to make X Men toys because that's a Hasbro line of course, but as at Necca, he gets to work on really cool things like Jurassic Park. Oh you know what. Actually, Neca owns hero Clicks and so he also got to be a part of the Hellfire Gala
Hero Clicks line that came out. So anyways, blainer Things is on the panel, and last, but certainly not least, is Justin Wilder from the Ex Wife podcast. I love listening to them, so excited to hear Justin on the panel. Yes, he's so well versed and well known of X
Men stuff, way more than we are. Well anyways, so it'll be great to have someone who actually knows a lot of X Men history and can kind of teach all of us. But also his wife, Alicia wild There will also be in the audience, So if you guys listen to them and that you love the duo, Yes, Justin is the rep on the panel, but Alicia will also be at the panel in the audience, and I'm sure some sort of amazing cosplay because right after the panel we have our X
Men group cosplay meetup. So if you are at the panel in your X Men cosplay, stick around because we are going to take a big group shot. We did this last year with the amazing photographer Chief Geek Photography, and it looks epic on the staircase. It's such a beautiful photo that Chris arranged last year, so we're doing it again. course is going to be at the convention in a big way. So they are celebrating the sixty years of X Men anniversary and they will be having a Costplay photo meetup at the Marvel booth on the exhibit floor Thursday at two thirty
pm, so don't miss out that opportunity. Right before, they're going to be doing an X Men ninety seven toy reveal with Hasbro, and then there's the cost Play photo right after, So get there at two to watch the Hasbro lineup and then two thirty photo and definitely we will be there because you know, as big X Men fans. How could we not? Of course it's gonna be epic. Continuing with X Men news at San Diego Comic Con, we also are going to be at D twenty three's hell Fire Gala Extravaganza.
D twenty three. They put on annual events, of course for members of the D twenty three group, and thankfully I joined the gold level and I was able to get a ticket. It's sold out now unfortunately, but I will be going. As course, say an original design by Project Runway designer Samantha Ray, a good friend of mine and a friend of the Pod as well. And yeah, so she designed me a course say original hell Fire Gala look, and I am so excited to debut that at the actual
hell Fire Gala brought put on D twenty three. And I got to say, Chandler, kudos to you in Samantha, because I've seen the progress photos said, dude, you look like you walked off the page. It's very great, thank you, thank you. Yeah, I mean, because Corsair hasn't been at a gala, it's good to be like this completely original design that she came up with. And obviously she's a fashion designer, so She's
like, I got this. But the thing you haven't seen, Chris, because I haven't shown any photos of this is on the back of this, like cute cape I'm wearing is his symbol, like the kind of gold bird symbol that he has on his chest normally it's on the back of the cape. So you know it's going to be an over the should the reveal moment, Darling? Oh yes, Oh, I cannot wait to see the cape
twirls. Yes, yes, anyways, yes, So that Saturday night eight o'clock is when doors open at Park Nightclub if you're lucky enough to have a ticket, and if you don't, I am very sorry to hear about it. So I have some exciting X Men news for you, Chandler, because I saw something on the internet that blew my mind. Show me it is this. It is the X Jet with Storm in it for X Men ninety seven, the brand new toy that just got released out into the world for
all of our eyes to look at. Holy moly, I have chills. This is so cool. Oh my gosh, this is so cool you guys. First of all, Mohawks Storm, yes, which I've never seen a toy version of her in her nineties look with the mohawk. This is very obviously X Men ninety seven and you know, driven because of the upcoming animated series coming out. But holy crap, she looks fierce. I am so
excited. And you know what, this x Jet is one of those toys that shoots projectiles, which I that was my favorite type of toy when it came to vehicles back in the day, Like do you remember the teenage meetsche Ninja turtle van that shot little Pizza? Yes, oh my gosh, how cool was that? Yes, well, you know, this ex Jet also
fires projectiles. But that's not all, you guys. My favorite part of this is the fact that you might as well do a music video of Storm writing on the back of this Xjet because there is a little stand for her to stand and hold on to as the Xjet is flying through the air in your hands and she's shooting lightning bolts. You guys, Oh my gosh.
And not only that, it has a like drop down grappling hook. It's called the Hero swing trapeze, and that is so exciting because yeah, you get to attach your hero You're flying Hero to the back of the Xjet and as you zoom it around with your hand to get to fly behind. Oh my gosh, this is so cool. It's like my childhood on steroids. You guys, amazing. Well add decart, I'm ready for it. What else happened in the news. There's a lot of X Men stuff coming up
that has just been permeating in pop culture and popping up everywhere. Yeah, well, I mean there's an actor named Hugh Jackman. Oh him, he has a boy from the Boy. Yes, he's known for being the boy from Oz Van Helsing, very famous for being Van Helsing and the other movie with halle Berry. He was in Swordfish, so like Oscar nominated performance in
Swordfish. No, he's in a little movie called Deadpool three, and we got a reveal of him and Ryan Reynolds together and guess what he's wearing yellow and blow what Oh my god, it's the comic book accurate version of wol. This is the service that all fans have been wanting and yearning for ten movies later. We got it, you guys, we got it. Even if it has sleeves, I'll take the sleeves. I'll take it. And sidebar. I know I told this story way back in the beginning on the
pod about Hugh Jackman and my love for him. I know that you love him too, I mean your big, huge crush. But for me in high school, I'm in college, I you know, was doing the acting thing, and the college newspaper did like an interview on me, and one of the questions was is like, you know, which actor do you look up to, like which career would you aspire to have? And I was like, huge Jackman. It was like at the time, like my, uh, the epitome of Assa with all the projects that he has tackled over
the year. Yeah, and you know what, there are many Batmans, but there's only one on screen, Wolverine. That's true. Oh my gosh, Well, that is so exciting that Deadpool three is going to feature him in a big way. We already knew that he was coming back for it, but we didn't know what he would be wearing, and so we got lots and lots and lots of set photos of him and Ryan Reynolds duking it out in a kind of a fight scene and it's inspired cosplay already art of
course, and I'm so excited. Now the question remains, will we get the Wolverine Helmet. You know, for the amount of servicing that this movie is going to do for fans, I believe that anything is possible. Yes, I agree, and I feel like if we're already full suited up, it's time for helmet. Yes, I mean, like what else could there be? You know, it would be so cool, like what if they brought back Jennifer Gardner as Electra, Well, guess what they are? What
every gay squealed when they heard this news. I actually had so many people share it direct with me saying that they were so excited about this news. And I have a confession. I've never seen the Electro movie or the Ben Affleck Daredevil movie. It's okay, I have no concept of it. So like to be excited, trust me, like you're you're forgive and trust it's okay. Well, by the way everyone was reacting, it's like, clearly I've missed out. Clearly like this was the best thing that ever came out,
So I need to go back and watch it. Apparently it did. It become a cult classic? Is it one of those movies that it like everybody was like at the time, but then over time people look back on it and was like, Oh, that was actually you. Yeah, I don't know. Yeah, I guess so, Oh my gosh, okay, I take it back. I gotta go rewatch it now. I got to
look at it through fresh eyes. You're a little refresher. And you know Jennifer Gardner alias Hello Love going on thirty or whatever, thirteen going on thirty. I mean, favorite movie of Jennifer Garner's is thirteen going on thirty. Oh my god, I loved it. Yeah. Unfortunately, though, I don't think we're going to see this movie for a long time, maybe even a very long time, because something is going on in the world, you
guys. And Deadpool three has stopped filming because the SAG after strike has got underway. They have joined the writers Guild and everybody's on the picket lines. Yeah, it's a little scary being an employee of the entertainment industry because you know, we live and thrive off of making movies, TV and video games, and with all of the stuff going on, it has caused a big
wrench in our lives. And you know, just from a personal perspective, it affects me because you know, it cuts down on our projects that we work on and therefore money coming in to pay employees. It's like, you know, it's it's not a good thing for the larger industry. But I understand and support the strike because a lot of stuff needs to be worked out,
even with the conventions like San Dieo with comic Con. This all just happened right before Sandieo Comic Con, where all the studios send all their actors to promote the shows and the movies, and wow, they all pulled out and all of a sudden, a lot of hotel rooms became available. Yes, indeed, and you know, I go to the Toronto Film Festival every year, and this might be the first year that I don't go, because it's very likely, you know, no movie star is going to walk a
red carpet in September if the strike is still going on. So there's a good chance that after twelve years of going to Toronto, I might not be going. Wow. You know, it's crazy to think how every everything shuts down, not just Hollywood, California, but you know worldwide. It effects everything. You know, the cast of Oppenheimer were in the middle of a press junket in London and then the orders came down about right and they just got up and left the mid question, We're just like and we're done.
Well, that's a very powerful statement. Okay, did you see that Black of Mirror episode of Jonah's Awful? I haven't no what is it? Oh my gosh. Okay, So it stars Selmahayak, and I really don't want to talk too much about it because I don't want to give it away. I really think that it's probably one of the most ironically shocking episodes of television
in our current modern day history. Right now. I recommend everybody watching because you do a double take and you realize, Wow, the crazy stuff that they are portraying in this episode is actually happening. And anybody has made the joke of like, what is this a block of mirror episode? It's never you know, for a good reason. Oh my gosh. Another thing about the strike which I read about, which was really fascinating, is the the
studios of the producer end of it. They want the ability to scan background actors, pay them for one day's work and then own their likeness forever, to digitally insert them into whatever project that they're producing, and then never pay them again. And this is another reason why the actors and SAG after are
striking because no, absolutely not. I'm not going to as a not that I'm a SAG member, but I would never agree to just let my likeness be scanned and used in perpetuity and just be paid a one time feed, you know what. I just have to say, Because in my youth I was in college, and all through college I did background work on high school shows, especially this one program called Boston Public, which was about a school.
And you think about it, is when you're on a set, you know, consistently like that, especially with high school, it becomes like a family, you know, and that's where you meet your money, and you really helped bring a vibe and creativity and collaboration, even if you're the background actor in the background walking past doing your thing, like the part of magic.
And to think that if that were today, I would have walked into the studio, they would have scanned my face, I would have done whatever they needed me to do for that day, and then I would never see them again. Yeah, that whole experience, that whole wonderful, enriching life experience with all those people in creating art gone. Yeah, I did a lot of background acting when I first moved to Los Angeles. It's actually where I met our friend Jenny, who has also been on the show in the
past twice. Yeah, So we were on the pilot of Ghost Whisperer and Jennifer love Hewitt was getting married in the first episode, I guess, and we were wedding guests and we sat at the table and we got to meet and I made a lifelong friend out of it. So but yeah, background acting is something that I don't think should be taken away, Like it's you
are contributing to the overall vibe of it. Could you imagine being on the opposite end where you are one of the top line name actors and you have to address a classroom of people and there's no one in it because they're going to digitally insert everybody later, or like you have to do all that kind
of stuff and it's just all fake. And you know, I feel like when you are doing background it helps the other side of the acting coin, of the top line people to react off of people and feel the energy of people running in a crowd scene or walking in the class room or whatever hallways.
I've done so much different background work. It's so funny to think of it all, I've definitely done running down the street because you're being chased by something or there's a bomb that went off and you're running, and I've yeah, I've done a lot of walk buy in hallways. Anyways, there's all sorts of background stuff that I've done, So yes, I totally to support
the not allowing to scan background actors. And by golly bless Frandre Escher, who portrayed the nanny in that popular sitcom that we all know and love. She is now the voice of the labor movement. She came out swinging and she seems like a superhero right now. Absolutely, And just this quick side
note in case anybody's wondering. While you do hear about actors pulling out of Sandeo comic Con, events like ours, like the uncan experience are not affected by the strike rules, So the actors that we have coming to the event are all still coming. So just to put a little asterix on that. All right, you know what, we're here to talk about the X Men. Indeed, I have a surprise for you, Chandler, because this week
I know you were busy prepping for San Diego Comic Coon. Because you're doing a million panels and a million events and go into the Hellifire Galla party. I decided to choose a special comic book today to cover, and it is because of the Wolverine in the Deadpool movie news. I wanted to, you know, pay homage to that, so I searched the archive and I found a really cute story that I think you all will enjoy. Yeah, thank you for picking this. And the book is called Wolverine Deadpool the Decoy Ooh
intriguing. Let's set the era. This was back in September of two thousand and eleven. The top song of September twenty eleven was Britney Spears. I want to go from them fatal, I wanna go go go all the wait wait wait Oh I love it. Oh my gosh, that brings back so many memories. Wow. Yeah, you know, I had a lot of nostalgia for Britney Spears lately, and I actually mentioned this to you, Chandler, like, if we magically get to Broadway somehow, they have a new
musical that features all Britney Spears music and it's a fairytale. Oh my gosh, yes, I've heard, I've heard it's it's called Once upon a Time One more time, you know, like hit me baby one more time? Right, oh right, yes, exactly, Oh my god. And I heard that it's actually endorsed by Britney Spears. She didn't completely, you know, write it, but she yeah, it's all enjoyed it. Yeah. She was like, all right, you guys, cool, More power to you. The top movie, Chandler. Oh my gosh, I can't believe
this was the top movie. I was. I had to do a double take, and I forgot that this even happened. But The Lion King, the Lion King itself came back into theaters into the eleven of September in three D. Yes, I do remember this. I remember vividly when it was coming back out because everybody loved the film, so they were rushing to the theaters to see it again. Yes, And just some little tidbits about that.
It was the first reissue released to earn the number one slot at the American weekend box office since the reissue of Return of the Jedi, which was back in nineteen ninety seven. MM, so you know, it was the fourth highest September opening weekend of all time. Amazing, amazing, Circle of Life. Yes, oh, I just can't wait to be king JTT remembered Jonathan. Yes, let's get into this issue. We're doing Wolverine and Deadpool
the Decoy. The writer is Stuart Moore, the art is by Sean Crystal, the cover is by the incredible Scotty Young, and the issue is titled The Decoy. Of course, not the cover. We have a really cute kind of cover, I will say it is. It is a little minimalist, but it definitely stands out. We have wolver in the background holding his head with that kind of like angry, grumpy sigh. But in the foreground we have a glorious Deadpool who is doing the Phoenix drag the Phoenix in the
green costume, and Deadpool is looking sassy and fierce. I love it absolutely, It's just just super cute. I love the pose. And yeah, I'm a I'm a big fan of Scott A. Young art, so this was really cute. This is kind of early Scott Young. I feel like he's really honed in his style since then. But big fan. I'm kind of curious though, as to Wolverine's expression. I don't think Wolverine would ever
be upset at sea somebody in drag. I think he's just upset that he has to deal with Wade Wilson, and he's like, not this guy. Also, not this guy doing dragon the woman that I was in love with. Okay, so let's get into it. On the inside, there is chaos, there's explosions behind the desert, probably a mesa of some sort. And is this place called dry More? Dry Mouth? Dry Mouth? It's very dusty, it's very western town. It's at ten thirty six am,
and the Stalker fell to earth. The stalker, we find out, is actually a robot because from are yes, we see that his footprints going all the way through the town ominously, and there's dogs that are, you know, starving, barking at dead bodies. That dead body was obviously just shot because there's a lot of steam coming off of his chest. Yes. In fact, the population of dry Mouth was fourteen plus a few dogs. Now
the population is zero and just dogs. So at least this robot does not offer cruelty towards animals, so we will give him a little bit of points, just a little Yeah. We turned to the next page, and then we get to see this what this robot looks like glob Herman. Oh my gosh, you're right, that is totally glob herded with extra added mechanicals. Yes, robo glob Herman. When he does his Transformer move, he turns into this robot. This robot is fighting Wolverine, but Wolverine cannot get a
slice in. He tries and tries, but the robot has this short range teleportation ability, so he gets to become intangible teleport and Wolverine cannot get his claws into this machine. Kind of like the Vision, Yes, exactly like the Vision in a way. Duh. You know what's kind of grosses his like battery packs on his back. They kind of look like there's syringes, you know, that are injecting him with fuel like bane from Batman. What an ominous robot. I do not want to go up against this guy,
No, not at all. So Wolverine, he's trying his best, He's trying his darnedest, but he just can't get his claws into him. So the robot keeps zapping him, he keeps smoking. Is not working out, and we learned that the robot's visual capacity is damaged, so it is trying to find its target and terminate it, and of course we learn through the
process that it is looking for Jane Gray. And I love, I love the moment that, you know, after Wolverine is totally blasted and his skin is falling off, and he's just and there going like, well, oh my god, I just got blasted him how to die? His body is
steaming and trying to heal, and he's thinking to himself. And while he's doing that, we see in the background in the clouds the vision in his head, which is a gorgeous pin up looking version of Jean Gray, who never posed like the s phoenix, like never, but no never his memory, he remembers Jean just like this. She looks like a bombshell she does. The robot has left Wolverine for dead with an eighty six probability that he
will die, so he was eighty six percent towards death. But as we know, Wolverine just needs that one percent in order to regenerate himself, so he tricks the robot sensors. It walks off into the distance towards Albuquerque. You know, it's one thing to take out a town of fourteen people, but to go to a fully populated capital of a state it's going to be an issue. So Wolverine's like, I gotta stop this guy. He only will stop for Jean Gray, and we need somebody who can take a lot
of damage. And then I love how the camera gets closer on his face and zooms in right into his eyes, and he's like, who's crazy enough stupid enough for that job? Well, I'll tell you because on the next page my favorite splash page shot of Deadpool in the showers singing if you liked it, then he showed to put a ring on it. That must have been the hit song of that. I got to look up when that came on. So Beyonce put a ring on it? Oh two thousand and eight.
Wow, So we had a few years of this becoming a hit. There is a lot going on in this shot. Obviously we do not see Deadpools private parts because they are covered by bubbles. But in his hand he has a very large scrubbing brush just to reach every nook and granny. I'm assuming yes, And if you're wondering what his style of fashion is like for bathroom curtains, it's yellow and balloons. Yes, indeed, I noticed that
myself. Ooh, But then we get a close up shot of his eyes because he senses somebody right outside the shower curtain and he leaps out and he says, so logan Wolverine a weapon letter X or is it number ten? You have returned to resume our endless battle? Yes, Wolverine says, whoa whoa psycho boy? What endless battle? We don't have an endless battle? Nope? Oh, you want a towel. And at this point Wolverine is just kind of like trying to avert his eyes, you know, for modesty,
and he covers up for our eyes with his hand Deadpool's posterior. Yes, and he and Deadpool's looking into the mirror. He says he probably sucked the life out of a room, you know that. Oh, and then we get a more look at this apartment which looks kind of nasty or is it a condor house? I can't remember either way. There's abode and yeah, he's got a gross couch is falling apart, there's a spring coming out of it, bullet holes, there's knives in the wall, cracked a lamp
m and what's that gross towel? Like? If there's a towel like on the couch and I don't want to sit on it. I don't want to sit near it. I don't want to sit there in the couch if that towel is there? Right? So what does what does Breed say Wolverine? He says, I probably don't want to know this, but why were you wearing your mask in this shower? Didn't want to get my hair wet. I'm stepping out tonight. Listen, Wilson. It's like I said, I
need some backup against this big alien robot. It's hunting an old friend of mine. She are marked here for death, and why back? But she's already dead? So are you sure you don't want a towel? And Wolverine is like handing him the toweling question that was on the couch he touched it. At least he has a glove right, true, true, and a healing factor yes. And Deadpool is just all naked, spready goal on the couch right there, and he says, big alien robot, how do you
find me? Anyway? Xavier gave me this sher locator device. It's got a cerebro setting and you pop right up on it. My luck, you just bought a ranch house in Arizona. Deadpool like jumps up off the couch. Hell yeah, there's a housing boom. You know, I'm gonna trash this baby, then flip her I'll make a fortune. Yeah. Well, anyways, right after I use this locator to find the robot, I robot. There's a robot. And then Wolverine covers his face. He faced palms.
Look, the X men don't usually work this way, but I might be able to arrange for a one time payment. He'd be famous. It's for the good of humanity that, you know, Wolverine things. I don't even think that one got through. But then Deadpool the lightning bolt idea waves or coming out of his brain, and he says, look, Wolvee logan, my brother. Let's just suppose I did agree to help you, would it you know, hurt? Well not so, I mean, yeah, it hurt a lot. I amen. Yeah, great, guess you ain't
going out tonight after all? Huh, Sure I am with you. And then he plants a big, wet one right on Wolverine's cheek with a big heart and a smack. Yes, I love. This sums up their relationship perfectly. So now they are going on the mission. They are in a helicopter. They jump out of the helicopter to attack the robot as it approaches Albuquerque, and course Deadpool jumps out right away because he's like insane. Wolvern's
like, okay, well I'm right behind you. So yeah, the Deadpool is distracting the robot, getting a full on beam attack, and he's like oh yeah, and Wolverine is trying to get his claws in him, but he gets one little slice and then the robot teleports again because it is wasting its time. It does not need to attack Deadpool. It needs to find
its target. Jean Gray identified current target, primary target, and then Waite is just like oh yeah, and he is just getting full on blast it as if it was Cyclops deciding to lift his shades up and let it loose all up on him. And he's just bathing, bathing in that pain, bathing in that laser beam, and he's totally fried. Yes, And so the robot walks away, and so Wolverine's like, Okay, We're on to
the next maneuver Janis. I don't know why it's called Janis, but he's like, Maneuver Janis, Remember the one where we both attack the robot maneuver, which now, so they end up going together like this is their their big duo. I kind of half expected Janis to be some sort of variation of the Fastball Special. Nope, it wasn't. No, just a double
attack. Yeah, a Deadpool, of course brings up the joke. He says, so, Sparky Space Robot, now we resume our endless battle, and the robot says, searching memory drive endless Battle, and Wolverine says something very poignant about Deadpool's character as a whole inside of the Marvel universe, and he thinks to himself, you know what, it's Wade Wilson's world. We just live in it. M Oh, but you know, this robot still keeps out smarting them, keeps teleporting away. Is not working. Even all
of the beating that Deadpool is taking, the robot is not allowing. Um, he's not staying still long enough for Wolverine to get his claws in him. And so he thinks to himself that he's like he's got to He's got to come up with a new plan. This is not working. H While Deadpool continues to get pulverized, laughing, Yeah, he's just like, oh, and then Maine is just like just staying in there a middle buddy. I gotta think so Yeah, he runs over the back to the helicopter.
He does something pretty amazing. Yeah, he becomes a drag mom. Yes. Oh, and like Wade looks so happy. Yes, because while the robot is, you know, trying to analyze things out in the distance, we have Wolverine putting on sashes, putting on pin making things happen for the wonderful, the glorious. You turn the page and you get this amazing splash cover of Deadpool as Phoenix. I feel pretty. I feel pretty and continues also powerful, say, do you think it's true that a woman deserves power
from her sexual beauty? Or is that just some crap we mentell ourselves to justify staring at gams and bozongas all day long. My money's on the bozongas thing. Yes, And Wolverine's just thinking to himself, yeah, oh lord, come ahnd your blasted alien robots saved me from And then the robot blasts Deadpool. He goes, thank you. Yeah, oh my gosh, Deadpool is just loving it, bathing internet light. Wow. Wolverine thinks himself. So far, so disgusting. Now, if that scrap heaps of visual sensors
are as damaged as they think they are, this might just work. Identify courage target prime target Jing Gray targeting gray in gray. Yes, if the stalker wants Gene, it can have her the old Wilson way. He's gonna have to do it, and Wade. He is doubling down, He is on his knees, he is bracing for all the glory of the all of that laser beam pain. But then finally gets the jump on the robot,
so the plan has worked. He's able to slice one of his battery packs out and then they tries to activate teleport but negative prime target top priority continue fire, So even as its body is being sliced up, it knows its top priority is to eliminate Geene Gray. Yeah, and the dead pool is still in that laser beam, is shouting, hey, am I supposed to just a lay here? I am fire, I am life incarnate, I am a phoenix, and phoenix ain't that kind of girl? He pulls out
two blazing guns, firing away and I'll just missus. Wolverine, who does this really funny jump the way that the artist draws him. It's so like goofy, like Looney Tunes. M oh. But then together they team up guns and claws, they are able to just chop apart this robot and Deadpools all like, say, Logan, something occurred to me while I was riding around on the ground in unimaginable agony. Did you have this phoenix constume made specially for that big old alien robot? Or do you carry it all around
all the time? And then he goes yeah. And then and then like all of a sudden, Deadpools outfit gets like rock star eighties sexy, you know, because you know, pretty much ripped to shreds everywhere, and he just looks like he's about to jump in a car in mad Max Jury Road. M Yeah, totally. And then he screams, what a team up? What a rush? Because you know why they did it. They blasted through the head, They blasted through the guts, and the head of the
robot is a steaming pile on the floor. Yes, And Wolverine looks down at Deadpool Hood has passed out, and he says, oh, Jeanie, I'm so sorry, but you know something, I think I'm finally over you and he sees Deadpool dressed up as Jean Gray passed out on the ground. Yeah, it's just all naked looking and dead. And Deadpool looks up and he says, look, Logan, can we do it again? And he says, I mean this with all my heart, Wilson, I sure hope
not. Then we just have Wolverina dragging Deadpool by the legs helicopter and his wig fell off to his wig, and the and the sand is snatched that wig, the and the and there there's no no the next issue. That was a one shot you guys, that was a one time story. Yeah, super fun, super fun. Well, I'm glad that you found that one. That is a silly one to get in the spirit of Wolverine Deadpool exactly. It really shows off their relationship, their banter, the feel of
their quote unquote friend of me friendship. What are they their friend of mees? I want to say friend of these friend of mees. Yeah, that sounds about right. Cool bromance at times. Yeah, and I am looking forward to seeing Deadpool three, you know, whenever it comes out. Yes, indeed. Well cool. Well, thanks everybody for tuning in for this episode.
