Episode description

In the lead up to 30th of September and the opening of The Phantom Art Show in Broken Hill, NSW, Dan chats with co-curators Peter Kingston and Dietmar Lederwasch. Recorded in the period between the Toowoomba and Broken Hill exhibitions, this conversation is a follow up to X-Band episode 42 when Dan, Chris, Gary and Angus reviewed the Toowoomba exhibition. These interviews offer some insight into an older generation of Phantom phans, and examines why two men would collect and commission Phantom themed artworks from some of Australia’s most renowned artists. Please note that the music used through the podcast is taken from Fanta, the short Phantom film that Peter Kingston created with Garry Shead and Gavin Wilson in the 1970s.
