Al Murray and James Holland turn back the clocks to investigate two seismic events of the Second World War that happened 80 years ago this week.
They first discuss the Fifth Army’s crossing of the River Volturno in Italy, drawing on eye-witness accounts, and then the disastrous second bombing of Schweinfurt on 14 October 1943 by the US Eighth Air Force that became known as Black Thursday.
