Dr. Joel Levine -Professor of Medicine and Founding Director of the UConn Health Colon Cancer Prevention Program. The American Cancer Society is now recommending colon cancer screening for younger people. Dr. Levine says this is not a surprise and was a long time coming with a larger number of people 40 to 45 developing colon cancer. No reason was found why younger people are developing colon cancer at a greater rate than in the past.
