Subject: Having The Talk with  older parents who need more help. Kristine says though family members usually have the best intentions such a talk dos not always go well, especially with those adamant about maintaining their independence. She says things that   can trigger a talk going badly are pointing out weaknesses, causing fear, bullying the person   and listing inadequacies and poor preparation for life. Kristine says to have a successful talk about more help for parents, keep things positive. She says you should support their abilities and not dwell on what they cannot do any longer. Show a team approach in solving problems. be a partner for solutions to concerns the parents may have.
