WTF Happened to Disney's John Carter?

It took a century for Edgar Rice Burroughs’ classic pulp hero JOHN CARTER (played by Taylor Kitsch) to finally reach the red planet on the big screen. But Disney’s 2012 feature -- the live-action directing debut of Pixar’s Andrew Stanton (FINDING NEMO, WALL-E) -- was exorbitantly expensive, mishandled its marketing, and ultimately proved to be one of history’s biggest box office failures posting an over $200 million loss.
