I'm so glad that you're here . You are listening to what the fuck did she just say with your host ? That's me , sandra Priestly . I'm all about living our best life and finding our zone of brilliance and then removing the resistance so that we can go all in .
I say random , crazy shit , which is why I called this podcast the way that I did , and I really hate long drawn out intros . So let's fucking go . Well , it's Friday , and that means it's Feng Shui Friday . Friday , and that means it's Feng Shui Friday .
Feng Shui Friday is all about understanding that our environment , our space , is speaking to our subconscious mind . It's like we're in an energetic relationship with our space , and so what we want to do is design it , curate it , to be one that supports us in reaching our goals , that makes us feel good and that we treat it well as well .
So one of the things that I want to talk about is collections . I recently was looking at some of the things that we've collected throughout the years . One of the things that I really like is coffee mugs .
I love coffee and I love to collect coffee mugs , and over the years , I have purchased one you know a mug every once in a while , and it just got to the place where the cupboard was too full of mugs .
So when we were renovating our kitchen , the cupboards that we put into our kitchen were a little bit more shallow and I knew that I was going to need to release some of the mugs . So I grabbed them all out and really looked at which ones did I want to keep . There was a set of four mugs that I had since university .
I went to university at 17 years old , so literally these suckers were more than 30 years old . I still love the look of them . They had tulips on them and they were sort of like etched , sort of like painted tulips on them . I love them . I still none of them were chipped , but I never used them .
I chose to use the mugs that had sayings on them Hello , beautiful , or fueled by gratitude . I mean , I have those mugs now . So me reaching for a tulip mug just wasn't going to happen , because I'm always choosing the ones that lift me up , that make me feel good . I also had a mug that I thought was amazing .
I really liked it , but the mug was too large . I was the only one that used this mug and when I did I'd get down to half of my mug full of coffee and it would be cold , so I released that mug too . There was other mugs that I noticed that were at the back of the cupboard , that no one used , that just didn't feel good in our hands .
When we can curate our space with things that make us feel good and that we use all the time , we naturally feel better , feel more organized , feel less stressed and we propel ourselves forward . We also can appreciate the things that we do have , because we're not surrounding those items with stuff we don't use , with stuff we don't use .
The same thing happened when I looked through my closet just a few weeks ago and removed all of the clothes that didn't fit me , didn't feel good . I didn't feel good when I was wearing them . I haven't worn them for a long time , I wasn't going to need them . I removed all of those things .
All of a sudden I could appreciate the clothes that were remaining in my closet , the ones that didn't make me feel good , and it was like I had a whole new wardrobe .
You want your home to be filled with things you absolutely love and not so cluttered with a whole bunch of stuff that you can't see the things that you absolutely love , you are holding yourself back . If you're holding on to things that no longer serve you , it's okay to let them go .
I promise you , when you hold on to cherish , honor the things that you need , you will be so much happier than if you surrounded yourself with stuff . See you tomorrow . Thank you so much for listening . I hope you've had some laughs , maybe some ideas , and that you've been inspired to take some type of action toward the life you've always dreamed of .
If you feel so called , I would love it if you would share with your besties and leave a review down below . I look forward to bringing you along on this journey and I will see you in the next episode .
