Episode description

Well it's Feng Shui Friday again and it's November up here in Canada.  It gets cold, dreary in general, I want to just get my groceries delivered and never leave my house until Spring.

In this episode I talk about the little tweaks that you can do to your space though, in order to bring in FRESH new energy to your environment (and yourself).

** Essential Oils mentioned in this episode:   Saje's Liquid Sunshine and doTERRA's Wild Orange.  I also just purchased Saje "Forest Inhale" that I love as well!

Speaker 1

I'm so glad that you're here . You are listening to what the fuck did she just say with your host ? That's me , sandra Priestly . I'm all about living our best life and finding our zone of brilliance and then removing the resistance so that we can go all in .

I say random , crazy shit , which is why I called this podcast the way that I did , and I really hate long drawn out intros , so let's fucking go . Well , I am in Canada and it's middle of November here .

So , even though my friends in Australia are now experiencing going into summer , we are going into winter , and I started thinking about what I do in the winter months , feng shui , wise , in order to really feel like I'm brightening up the space and getting in some fresh air .

A lot of times , like in the summer , I talk about opening the windows and allowing in the fresh air , allowing in fresh ideas , but we don't often do that in the winter . Right , like the most we'll maybe do is like go in and out of the front door quickly before the house freezes , the front door quickly before the house freezes .

But these are things that you can do in your space in the winter months in order to just bring in that fresh air those fresh ideas . So the first thing is always going to be decluttering like declutter your space and clean your space , vacuum dust , do as best as you can to just keep the air and the space fresh and clean . Also like washing your windows .

My husband has this thing where , like he's always trying to make sure that the windows outside and inside are super clean , and I'm looking at them right now going what the fuck just happened ? Because he cleaned them .

They were so beautifully crystal clean and now the outside of the windows I don't know look like someone just pelted it with a bunch of , like dust and water . I don't know what happened there . He's going to drive him crazy when he gets back .

It's going to drive him crazy when he gets back , but just for the most part , making sure that you have clean mirrors , clean windows on the inside anyway and , in general , having that clarity . You will inevitably , when you clean your space , when you clean those mirrors , when you clean those reflective spaces in your home , you will seek more .

You will find that you have way more clarity . I love that tip , anyway , but also I love to add in citrus smell . So I have a diffuser right now . I am diffusing Sage , the Sage product , the Sage brand S-A-J-E . I love this brand . It's from Vancouver , I believe . So Canadian company . I am diffusing Liquid Sunshine . It's a citrusy blend . I love it .

I also will diffuse wild orange , which is from doTERRA . Wild orange is an essential oil that represents abundance . I mean , how fucking fun is that ? I also will put a couple of drops of lemon , like lemon essential oil , into my water .

When I am washing the floors , I just use like plain old water to wash the floors and not anything super scented or chemical based , and so I just add in I I use clean water with a little bit of lemon oil and , oh , it just makes the home feel so fresh and bright and exciting and energizing .

The other thing that I really like to do is I love to bring in fresh flowers , bright flowers , as much as possible . When there's a ton of snow on the ground , it can be dreary , it can be drab , it can be very plain , and so what I like to do is bring in that pop of color in flowers .

Now here's the thing If it's really fucking cold out it's like minus 40 Celsius I am not going to risk going out and getting flowers Like they are not going to be happy with me as I bring them from the store outside into minus a zillion . They're not going to be happy and I don't feel good about that .

So what I will do is I will put a bowl , like a nice pretty bowl of lemons , limes , oranges , sometimes a combination of all of them and sometimes just one of them . But that adding that citrus element and that bright pop of color just feels so wonderful to your kitchen and it just feels exciting and fun and fresh .

Adding that fresh element into your home in the winter , when everything is all dreary and drab and white outside , just feels lovely . But also it gives you that fresh energy that you can take on the day with . So good luck , happy Feng Shui . Thank you so much for listening .

I hope you've had some laughs , maybe some ideas , and that you've been inspired to take some type of action toward the life you've always dreamed of . If you feel so called , I would love it if you would share with your besties and leave a review down below . I look forward to bringing you along on this journey and I will see you in the next episode .
