¶ Finding Your Zone of Brilliance
I'm so glad that you're here . You are listening to . What the fuck did she just say with your host ? That's me , sandra Priestly . I'm all about living our best life and finding our zone of brilliance and then removing the resistance so that we can go all in .
I say random , crazy shit , which is why I called this podcast the way that I did , and I really hate long drawn out intros , so let's fucking go . A few months ago , I had a call with a woman . Her business was human design for parents .
Now , if you haven't had your human design read or if you haven't gone online , you can just go online and search human design .
I can't remember the website , but you search human design and then you put in I think it's your place of birth , your time of birth , your date of birth , and out pops a whole bunch of stuff that is about you and it is freakishly accurate . It's so , so good . Now here's the thing .
I have had my human design read by a number of different Well , actually two different people , and then I've also done the online one , and this is what I know to be true . Every single time I've looked at it I thought yep , yep , yep , yep . Nothing . You're shattering here , your human design should feel like it fits , like a glove .
It should just say to you yes , this is who I am . It should pinpoint your strengths , pinpoint the things that you struggle with a little bit , but this shouldn't be shocking to you by any stretch of the imagination . You should just know that , ah , this is exactly who I am . This makes total sense and I'm just going to pay more attention to these things .
But here's what I loved about her business she just didn't do human design for business or women , her business . She just didn't do human design for business and women in business . She just didn't do human design for , like , random people . She worked on human design for parents . Why I love this is when you can understand what makes you tick .
When you can understand , like you know , your strengths , your weaknesses , and then also look to your kids' strengths , your kids' weaknesses , what they prefer , how they want to , how they like to respond to things , you can enrich your relationship in a way that is like , so much easier than trying to figure them right , the fuck out , right .
So I love this so much . Similar to astrology , actually . I have a client who , or a past client who was very much into astrology and she would like literally say , oh okay . Well , you know , my son is this and I am this , so this is how we interact . Um , you know , my son is this and I am this , so this is how we interact .
So it's similar to that . Human design is now . Here's the thing . I'm sitting there going shit , this is brilliant , holy hell .
I'm going to refer her to a number of different people , like a number of different parents who are struggling with understanding their kids and , like you know , when you get into that place where it's like whoa , what the hell am I doing ? Why can't I parent this fucking kid ?
You know , there's a moment where they're like , trying to step into their own , and you're trying to make sure they don't like , and so I thought , oh , I know I know a number of parents who are really frustrated right now . This could help them so much . So I referred my friend to this woman . She had this call with her . She loved it .
All of a sudden , this woman switches gears and comes out of fucking nowhere and shifts her business . I mean , it might as well have gone from human design for parents to I'm making fucking soaps in my basement , like it was so , so much of a shift and she was trying to sell the soaps to my friend who was like all in on the parenting with human design .
And I've watched her over the past several months three months since I had that call . I've watched her shift gears a number of times and I want to reach out to her with some unsolicited advice which I don't fucking do because I hate when people do that to me .
But I wanted to reach out to her and say pick a fucking lane and go there , go all in on it . You are not working it till it works . Because I know , I know this so well , I know this feeling so well .
We have a gut feeling , we have an intuition or maybe this is just me because , ps , in my human design , 70% of it is intuition , which is why I can be a psychic business coach , which is why I I rely on intuition for everything that I do . So it doesn't really matter what my clients , what my private clients , come to me with .
They could have relationship issues , they could have marital issues , they could have parenting issues , they could have business issues , they could have , like I don't know , family members who are struggling with addiction . It literally doesn't really matter what people come to me with .
I am always just going to respond using my intuition and trust that whatever comes out of my mouth is going to be perfect every single time . It could be branding . It could be like where do I go with my business ? It could be how do I write this book ? I mean , I'm literally telling you it doesn't really matter , I just use my intuition and off we go .
So that's my human design , so maybe it's just my intuition . But when I talk to a client and or I think to myself , this is where I want to go , and I've got that nagging in the back of my mind and I can hear it over and over , and over and over and over again we just got to go there and then work until it works .
But what happens is we start on that plan , we get this idea and we decide we're going to go all in . We do that for three days and then we go shit . I haven't created the business that I want . I haven't lost the 40 pounds that I want . I haven't done the thing that I want in the first three days of trying this . Fuck , it's got to not work .
It's got to be that . I've got to shift gears . We always do that . We shift gears , we add something different , we do something different and then we wonder why it's not going to work . If we think , in terms of weight loss , I want to lose 20 pounds and I decided my neighbor's cousin's friend lost a fuck ton of weight on keto .
I'm going to do the keto diet and I start the keto diet and I fucking throw a whole bunch of whipping cream and in my coffee and I make fat bombs and all of these things and I do this for three days or 30 days and I don't see the 20 pound weight loss that I think I should . I'm going to shift gears and go shit , maybe I should be low sugar .
And then I'm going to go all in on the low sugar and then three days , five days , seven days later I panic , thinking this isn't working . I'm going to go low carb . And then I go low carb and then shit , maybe I need a naturopath . So I'm going to go to see where I'm going with this .
We spend so much time shifting gears because we're panicking , thinking I've started this it's not working . What if I'm down the wrong path ? I'm going to try something different when what we need to do is work until it works . Find what makes you unique , find your unique way , or sign up for a clarity call with me and I'll help you find it .
Find your unique thing , find your thing that you're meant to do , and then go all in on it . Don't hesitate , don't half-ass it . We spend a lot of time half-assing shit when we should be just going all in on our full ass , working it till it works . What do you know you need to do and are you doing that now ? What is in the back of your mind ? That now ? What do you know that you need to do ? What is in the back of your mind you know ? No-transcript . I loved it . Actually . You know what ? This is a really good standalone podcast . So I'm going to talk about transformational design tomorrow , but for right now , I want to . I'm going to go switch gears , go back .
For right now , what I want you to do is look to what . What is it ? What is it that I really need to do ? What is on my heart ? What do I believe ? What do I believe will work ? And then , what do I need to do in order to make that work ? And then do that and work until it works .
Stop fucking yourself over by only half-assing it and then feeling depressed , thinking that it's you , it's not you , it's that you're not coming through in the way for you with the faith and the belief that it's going to work . If you work it , you're second guessing yourself , you're shitting on yourself , your mindset probably sucks and then you pull back .
Do not do like this girl did . Don't shift gears continually , because trust me when I say , if she goes all in I hope she's listening to this , but if she goes all in on human design for parents , she's going to be a fucking rock star . She's going to make a shit ton of money .
She's got to show up in that energy , though , for more than three days , more than 30 days . It might be 90 days .
