I'm so glad that you're here . You are listening to what the fuck did she just say with your host ? That's me , sandra Priestly . I'm all about living our best life and finding our zone of brilliance and then removing the resistance so that we can go all in .
I say random , crazy shit , which is why I called this podcast the way that I did , and I really hate long drawn out intros , so let's fucking go . I was talking to a client this morning and she has this incredible offer .
She just had 36 amazing people just dive into this offer and she was really thinking about how can I make this offer a little bit better , a little bit more fine-tuned , a little bit more interesting and just like , serve my clients a little bit better ? As we're having this conversation , I am thinking 36 women already signed for it .
But as we're having this conversation , her next step was to say there is a woman who has it's not even really a similar business , but she kind of has a similar type offer . So she said I was watching this woman and I love the stuff that she does . I love how she presents it . I love everything that she does . She is constantly sharing stats .
She is constantly sharing what is working , what is not . She is constantly upgrading it . She said she must be constantly researching , researching and like really delving into understanding this even deeper every single day , standing this even deeper every single day . And , as she was speaking , she then comes out with but I don't want to be doing that every day .
And this was such a good conversation , because what happens is we often we provide , we create an offer , we create some sort of service or item and we create it . We're happy with it , and then we start to look around . We don't put the blinders on and just trust .
We start to look around and when we look around , we're going to see someone that does it in a different way . Here was what's great she has such a strong brand filter . So this is something that I do .
We create a brand filter , so it is understanding your brand , understanding you , understanding structure , understanding everything about your brand , to the point where it is so solid , so cohesive it is . Really every single decision you have is a yes or a no , every single thing you think about .
Every single time you start to look at someone else's offer , which is what we do , right , and then we get stuck in this comparisonitis . Every single time you go and you look and you see someone else's offer , you can go . Does that work for me , yes or no ? Does that work for my brand , yes or no ? Is this go into my filter or out of my filter ?
Nope , it filters out . That's not for me . It's when we don't have a solid why . It's when we don't have a solid brand . If it's when we don't truly , we haven't dug in and really understood who we are , why we do what we do , what our mission is , what our vision is all of the things that create a very , very strong brand filter .
If we don't have a filter , we get stuck in the mess , we get stuck in our thoughts , we get stuck in overwhelm and we start to think , we start to focus on well , how much am I going to charge for this and how much am I going to put in ? You know , it's just messy . It's messy when we have a strong brand filter . It's not messy .
Now , here is why she was able to just discard this immediately . Number one who she is to me and who she wishes to be and who she is to probably everyone else , is a person who simplifies everything . She explains things simply , she makes things simple and her whole brand is about doing things , getting leads that is not super labor intensive .
So , if that is the type of person that she's attracting , and that is her strength , making it more complicated is not going to fall inside her filter , right , it's attracting and that is her strength . Making it more complicated is not going to fall inside her filter , right , it's not going to filter in .
It absolutely makes more sense for her to create solid , very basic offers that includes no stats , that includes no details . That are not 342 pages of stuff that a person is going to go through . Because here's the thing if someone is following her because she's simple , why would she provide a 348 page document of stats and details ? She wouldn't .
Or if she did it , it would be a waste of time because the people that are following her are going to go whoa wait , what the fuck is she just doing ? Right ? Why is she doing this ? I can tell you , and what I said to her was , if I was your ideal client which I could be I like simple . You know I don't like the tech stuff .
As soon as she , as soon as I find out this is 348 pages , as soon as I find out it's a whole bunch of stats on why I'm going to be tapping out . No way Am I going to follow that out . No way am I going to follow that . No way I will tap out in a second . I will look at it and and it is 27 questions . And guess what ?
I am on question four and I'm thinking can I do it ? Can I ? Can I make it through all of these 27 questions ? I don't know that . I can . I like simple , I like basic and I don't want a whole bunch of fucking stats . If you're trying to sell me on a search , a certain social media platform , please don't tell me stats .
Like I don't want to know them . Every 20 seconds I'll take one stat and actually , while I'm here , there was a girl I had met . Now she was telling me about LinkedIn . She was telling me that I needed LinkedIn and that I needed to be on LinkedIn because if you are on Facebook you are having your reach is so minimal .
But even if you show up every single day , your reach is minimal compared to how many people are following you . But and I can't remember . Okay , here we go . I can't remember the fucking stats , so , like , please don't follow the stats . But it was something like the majority .
I'm just going to make up a stat here , but it was something like 60% of people on Facebook are posting every single day , but in LinkedIn , I don't know . Let's say it's like 3% of people on LinkedIn are posting every single day . So if you are on Facebook , you are small fish , big pond . If you are on LinkedIn , big fish , small pond .
And so that's about that's as far as I'm going to go with stats , right , like I remember , I thought oh , wow , okay , that is really good , I like it , perfect . And so I purchased this , this package , from her . She said do you want to do it yourself or do you want to do it ? Do you want me to do it for you ?
Um , yeah , do it for me , like I don't want to do this yourself . Or do you want to do it ? Do you want me to do it for you ? Yeah , do it for me , like I don't want to do this for myself . No , I still have not used LinkedIn . So just an FYI if you're following me on LinkedIn , you might as well not bother .
I think I've posted one thing , and it was just a reshare , probably , of something Mel Robbins said . Anyway , all this to say when you know yourself , when you know your ideal client , when you have the most strong brand filter , it is literally seconds for you to make a decision .
If you are sitting in overthought , if you were going , ah , how much do I charge for this ? Do I charge this for this ? Do I charge this for this ? Is this a three-week course ? Is this a three-week course ? Is this a three-month course ? Is this a membership ? Is this one-on-one Like ? You know what ?
All of those decisions with a good , strong brand filter are a split second . You make them If you are overthinking . I promise you good , strong brand filter . Everything is simple .
