I'm so glad that you're here . You are listening to what the fuck did she just say with your host ? That's me , sandra Priestly . I'm all about living our best life and finding our zone of brilliance and then removing the resistance so that we can go all in .

I say random , crazy shit , which is why I called this podcast the way that I did , and I really hate long drawn out intros , so let's fucking go . Well , today is , I don't actually know , day 40 something . Day 40 something of recording podcasts . And you know what's funny is , today I woke up .

Actually last night I felt a little ill and then this morning I woke up a bit of a headache , felt really crappy , felt exhausted , and I woke up thinking how am I going to do this podcast ? Dead . And I woke up thinking how am I going to do this podcast ? I am . There is no option to not show up . So I will be .

Even if I were , even if you hear me throwing up into my garbage , can I will be on this podcast . Let's hope that doesn't happen , but I will be on this podcast . Failure is not an option . Skipping out is not an option , and you know this is like a little is not an option .

Skipping out is not an option , and you know , this is like a little , maybe a heads up to me . Maybe having a couple podcasts recorded in advance would be smart . Anyway , I did not have that , so here I am , showing up and not feeling my best . Here is what was super interesting about this , and I think that we do this all the time .

I woke up about five hours ago and I have thought about recording this podcast for five hours . Honestly , the thinking about the podcast is more energy than actually just hitting record and doing the damn thing . And I think this is for everything when we have this in the back of our minds I got to do this , I got to do this .

And we're sort of in that avoidance energy or that like pouting energy or that oh , I don't want to , kind of no matter what it is we spend . The amount of energy that we spend avoiding is so much more than the energy that we actually what is the word word Expend ?

If we just hit play , just hit record , just did the damn thing I was , I used to do this in university too , you know I would think , oh , I got to study for that exam . I got to study for that exam . I started studying for a stats exam . I was going into that stats final exam failing exam . I was going into that stats final exam failing .

I started studying for a stats exam at 2.30 in the morning and my exam was at 8.30 in the morning . I fell asleep at some point . How I passed that class is shocking to me .

But I spent so much time avoiding and procrastinating and dreading that I'm telling you , if all I had done was just commit to five minutes , if all I had done was just said , okay , let's just rip the fucking bandaid off . Five , four , three , two , one , let's Mel Robbins this thing and go .

If all I did was just open my books up to my stats , look at it so that I had a clue what I was getting myself into , I would have had less anxiety , I would have had less avoidance , I would have had less stress . And here's the magical thing If we can just commit to five minutes , we will always stay for more .

Do you know how many women I talk to that avoid a workout all day long until it's nine o'clock at night and then they have to force themselves . But here's the thing they were in the energy of dreading it . If we just did the damn thing , we would spend so much less time in a state of anxiety and in a state that we do not like .

We would be so much farther ahead . So just commit to five minutes and do it . When you get the intuition , the nudge to just do it immediately , I promise you will expend way less energy and you will be way less stressed than if you just avoid it all day long . Thank you so much for listening .
