Creating Your Zen Den

Speaker 1

I'm so glad that you're here . You are listening to what the fuck did she just say with your host ? That's me , sandra Priestly . I'm all about living our best life and finding our zone of brilliance and then removing the resistance so that we can go all in .

I say random , crazy shit , which is why I called this podcast the way that I did , and I really hate long drawn out intros . So let's fucking go . Welcome to day two of the 12 days of Christmas . Of the 12 days of Christmas , this one is about creating a space of calm .

We all need our own Zen Den , and particularly throughout the holiday season , when we have a lot of things on the go we have more people in our space , we've got bigger meals , we're entertaining . We need a place where we can just shed all of everyone else's energy when we walk through the door , walk through and have our place , our Zen den .

That feels amazing and that feels regenerative . Is that a word ? I feel like it's a word . I don't know it's a word now , it's a cool word . So one of the places like throughout the year , I always kind of talk about having a Zen den , being like I don't give a shit where it is , like it could be your space on the couch .

It could be your sitting area that has this one chair that you absolutely love and there's a side table with a lamp and your favorite book and a candle , and it just feels lovely . Or maybe your journal and your favorite pen and that's your favorite space . But here's the thing If you have company , people will inhabit that Zen den .

So we need to create a Zen Den where you can close the door , feel fucking great and get your shit back together . I recently heard a podcast . It was Mel Robbins .

I recently was watching Drew Barrymore and she was interviewing an author I can't remember the author's name name and the author said that our first reaction to something , our first reaction to something , is not our responsibility .

Our second reaction is and I thought that was so interesting because what it says is you know , we're going to have like an instant emotional reaction to anything . Right , especially if we have a lot of people in our space . We can , we can start to get too much in our fields , but our response to that are like our .

How we respond to that reaction , that emotional reaction , is our responsibility . The worst case scenario is that we're going to go and have Christmas and we're either going to feel frustrated , feel stressed , keep it all in and as soon as our company leaves , then we lose it on our family .

I don't know if you've ever done this , but I feel like I've seen this in movies a few times , this in movies a few times .

No , but seriously , right , like we , we get to the place where we no-transcript I do anyway and so the important thing is that we recognize when we have that feeling , when we have that emotion , we can choose to release it without having to hold it in and blow up or react in the moment . But we need a Zen Den to do that .

The best place during the holidays particularly , or when you have a lot of company , the best place to have a Zen den is your bedroom . Now , first off , this is where we regenerate , right , this is where we heal is in our bedroom . So we need to make sure that our bedrooms stay as neat , tidy , beautiful , calming as possible .

So one of the things that I like to do is well , first things first , I declutter , like everything is decluttered , and from the beginning of December , I have all of my mirrors are clean and everything is cleaned off . Everything just feels as neat and tidy as possible . Everything on our side tables like our bedside tables is cleared off so that it feels lovely .

I usually will turn on our side table lamps throughout the day , especially when it gets a little bit darker out , and it just feels beautiful . It has this nice ambiance to it and the one thing that I do every single morning is make my bed .

I make the bed and I have all the pillows all nice so that if I need a fucking break , if I need to just leave the space , even for a couple minutes , even for a couple minutes , go in , shut the door , do some deep breathing , release anything . I might even have to go in there for five , 10 minutes and journal .

It's okay , we all need that place to go , where we're all by ourself and no one will interrupt us . So , zen Den , let's fucking go to us . So , zen Den , let's fucking go . Also , today's day two daily deal this goes so well . I created something a while back called the Vault .

Now the Vault is a collection of all of my favorite sourcing meditations , in addition to some really cool past masterclasses and things that I've loved so much . If you have a business , if you just are feeling out of sorts . You're taking things personally . There is so much in that vault it is . It's shocking .

Actually , when I was doing when I was redoing uh rebranding my website , I went to go into the vault and tried to determine if I really wanted to keep it or not . Oh my gosh , there's so much amazing stuff in there . Of course I want to keep it , because we're talking about not losing your shit throughout the Christmas season . This is going to help .

You've got all the meditations already there . All you have to do is press play and off you go . Usually my meditations are about 15 minutes long , so it's not that much . It's not like going and sitting for 45 minutes cross-legged on a pillow . I hate that crap . The meditations that I do are called sourcing meditations

Transformative Power of Sourcing Meditations

. They changed my life . I used to hate , hate meditation because I sucked out at them . I always thought to myself , well , if I'm wrong for having a thought and I have to put the thought up in the clouds and the cloud has to flood , I can't do that . No , I'm an overthinker from way back and I am constantly thinking about something .

So what was amazing about sourcing meditations was that I had a purpose to my thoughts . It was almost like a guided visualization where I could connect into source energy . I could connect into my intuition , strengthen my intuition and really come to some understanding and knowledge that I needed .

I could use it not only to bring me peace and solace , but to bring me information that source energy wanted me to have . Oh my gosh , amazing . So Today , anyone who clicks on the link below can get three months in the vault for free some type of action toward the life you've always dreamed of .

If you feel so called , I would love it if you would share with your besties and leave a review down below . I look forward to bringing you along on this journey and I will see you in the next episode .

I don't want you to go through the holiday season or January or any of any day really stressed and feeling nervous and feeling anxious and feeling like anything other than calm , happy , grateful , rewarded and loved and joyful and blissful and abundant . Having a Zen den and using these meditations together Magic .
