In the end, Petra Kvitova raced away with her first Porsche Tennis Grand Prix title in Stuttgart, defeating Anett Kontaveit 6-3, 7-6(2) to win her 27th career title.
It wasn't always easy sailing for the Czech, who is set to return to No.2 on Monday, but Kvitova leaves Stuttgart with a load of confidence after winning her first clay title of the season in her first clay event.
