We're gonna get rain here in Seattle. I know some of you think, well, of course you're gonna get rainy in Seattle, but in fact, in fact, I don't think Seattle has had rain since uh late June early each lie there was there was one weekend where it rained and it was all out

weekend and I was gone. So I live in Seattle. I have not seen rain in about three months now, and the rain will hopefully come today and wash away all of this smoke, so we will no longer be the city with the worst air quality on the planet. I hear we rival Venus right now, do you know that? Anyway, we got a lot of news to get into here today. We talked about a double n n x C yesterday because in fact the show has aired on Tuesday this week, and so today we'll talk about the fallout. Yes, we

have the ratings. Everybody's favorite discussion and that'll be that'll be fun. And we've also got notes on Darby Allen talked about his match with Jeff Hardy, where Darby Ellen said that that he thought that could have been the end for him. And that's Darby Allen saying that, So we'll tell you what he had to say about that. We've also got miss He is dealing with an injury, a burst, a burst bursa sack, yet he's still wrestling,

I mean I care a lot because I'm I'm hacking to death here. Well, you know, in a couple of days, I guess I'll care because of those jet streams that come over. But it's really bad out there. I guess the air quality right now is two oh four. It should be under fifty. So two or four? Is

uh Los Angeles way worse, way, way worse in Los Angeles. Actually, I wonder what, Yeah, what is l A on a normal day. I don't know, but I'm trying to see. There was another there was another one I had here that world wide maybe I guess a worldwide air quality, which is the word. Yeah, let's see. Well, the good news is we're now we're now below India. Delhi, India is at two sixty three. We're two, so we're number two. That's that's nice. Beijing is it one seventy? There? It

couldn't be more clear there? Oh no, I'm sorry. Now we're at this moment we're actually number one to forty. So you keep complaining about this, a volcano is going to go off to and really just iced the cake for you. Yeah, Seattle in Portland are number one and two right now, and then Beijing number three, Wu Hand number five, the infamous Wu Hand province. Yeah, it's pretty horrible. Here, okay, here's the here's the ratings. You know what I had, Yes, already,

a vintage Twitter. I got to put up the head to head and everybody got to go all crazy. But here it is Dynamite on Tuesday this week did seven fifty two thousand viewers, down twenty three point five percent from last Wednesday, lowest audiences October last year, when it aired on a Saturday eighteen to forty nine eight on

cable with a point to six. Then we've got an x T six seventy six thousand viewers, down eight point three percent from last week twelve on the charts with a point one eight rating, which is up from last week actually year over year. We got all that kind of stuff right here. So, uh, the gist of it is in the in the viewership a W one seven fifty two to six seventy six and in the eighteen and forty nine Dynamite one with a with a point

to six to uh to a point one eight. You know, I don't I don't like to, uh, you know, twist a knife or anything like that, but I gotta I got a buddy in w W. He's always arrassing me and you as well. And uh, you know, the other day I was talking about how um you know we're doing We're doing the Observer radio show on Tuesday instead of Wednesday this week because the shows are head to hit on Tuesday, and he says, he goes, oh, yeah, why why aren't you doing it Wednesday? Are you afraid

for when the ratings come in? And I was like, well, first off, I don't care either way, number one, number two, it wasn't even my call. So anyway, you know, he he thought that we were avoiding doing the show on Wednesday because we have talked about the ratings. Well, what does that indicate? That indicates to me that he thought that an XT was gonna win. Yeah, that's what I would pickure. So it didn't win, and then you know what he says, because well, we weren't trying to win.

The only winners were the fans, Brian, I'll rest the only winners with the fans. They were just trying to provide a bounty. A bounty. Look at one point four to eight million people, is that? What is one point four to eight million people joined in on that bounty or at least filled in their Nielsen books with that, as opposed to the sports that they were watching. Because for both n x T and a W they were both down. Obviously I a W want a different night,

But the bottom line is the two hockey games. Again, depending on what city you're in that actually matters. The NBA Games opening Day, for heaven's sakes, with eighteen to thirty four, eighteen to forty nine of me, come on, get out of here. So I got more major in Major League Baseball. So I mean, what can you do? Both of these shows? What are you doing? And I I couldn't figure out why. First first, all I hear is that I'm the only person that loves It's my

favorite show. I love n x T. I'm the number one flag bearer for n x T. You are you are the Then they go head to head. Andyone's like, oh, he's gonna have an agenda? Now, well, which is it? Is it my favorite show that I'm the flag bear? Four? Do I have an agenda for a w Cut to the chase? Here, let's cut to the chase. Both of these shows did great. I know some of you don't want to believe it, but that's that's true. Both of

these shows did great dynamite. Yeah, obviously they were well below there there one million, nine thousand or whatever, but like, what were you expecting? They were moved to a different night. They were going headdad with n XT and a whole bunch of sports, and if you exclude sports programming, they were the number one show on cable. If you exclude sports program For n x T, they were like number four. So both of these shows, given the circumstances, they both

did great. But everyone has to freak out, well, this and that and whatever. I can't just say they did really good. You'll have to see. No, they actually did great. Do you do you know? Okay? What what was Dynamite down from last week? Uh? They were down? Okay, do you guys want to go and look at how far SmackDown was down when they had to move to FS one on a different night. They were down like sixty dude, moving to a different night hurts everybody. It hurts w W E and heard say w it would hurt n

x T, it would hurt. It would hurts everybody. And they actually held up remarkably well and charted very well and quite frankly n XT with competition with a w competition, bro, they did better than they do with no competition. So yeah, everybody did great on Tuesday night. That's the story. My favorite show smashed them. What do you think some of these people would have done back in the day when it came to raw being moved for the dog show in the U. S Open and whatnot. I think they

would have complained about ratings there too. There was a lot of complaining in the mid nineties, guys. Don't. Don't get us wrong. The difference was there was no Twitter. It was all confined to forums and chat rooms and whatnot. People make fun of the super followers thing, but man, my super follower Twitter is the greatest Twitter ever. It's like, I post some stuff, everybody's real nice about it. The comments are all polite, and you know, everybody enjoys doing whatever. Man.

That that that commoner's Twitter. Oh peasant Twitter. It is peasant past system. Now with the twitters with you, I really don't think four ninety nine a month is like a cast system here. You know what, dude, I went to the grocery store the other day. I got a block of cheese. You know what cheese cost me? At the story You're getting a block of cheese, just like a little just like a little thing of cheese. Nine dollars.

And then then I wanted to get a one little package of of tortillas because Passy has been in a case of eas lately. Seven dollars. Where are you sewing safely? However, it was revealed the Good Brothers will team with a j to take on Judgment Day at Crown Jewel on the same date, and a video posted to a social media on Wednesday, Anderson says New Japan didn't run the November five date by his

booking agent and tag partner, Doc Gallows. First, I hope that's a shoot, and the Doc Gallos is his business agents as sex Ferguson there please the Good Brothers confirmed they will not be doing the New Japan show. So here's here's the here's the two things here. You know. When when he first signed w W, E is a never open weight champion, the claim was that he would drop the title. Okay, and uh, I don't. I don't like to be that guy. You know what,

I am the guy. It's the essence of Brian is m. I said, do this thing, guy, this guy is gonna drop the title and everyone said yeah he is, No, he actually is. And Dave on the show even started listing off. You know, these people signed and then they ended up they dropped their titles before. But what he didn't know was before somebody make a list for me. How many people have signed with w w E okay and not dropped the title and then debuted okay, but

they debuted and then dropped the title. How many anybody? I can think of? Zero row? So what a shocker. He debuts on raw and now he is not. Now granted, there's two things here. He was double booked, which means that he has a booked for another date after the first date by w w E. So he is unable to to make that show. But I mean, I guess it's possible that he could later go to New Japan and drop that title. Oh yeah, yeah, I guess he could do it beforehand. You know, at the the New

York shows that are coming up. That would be a great time to do it. There's still matches to be announced for those shows. If you're going to do it, there will be a good time to do it. Now here's the other thing, the whole it goes one more now, correct if I'm wrong, Mike, and as a resident New Japan expert here on this program, I am not wrong. The rule in New Japan is if you get announced for a show and you do not make that date,

you are stripped of your title. And in fact, in fact, in fact, whether whether it was cleared with him or not is irrelevant because the same exact thing happened with Juice Robinson, where Juice Robinson had an injury, he wasn't ready to return, they booked him for a show anyway, he wasn't ready to return and could not make the date,

and they stripped him right. So, whether he was whether they cleared this with him or not, if he was announced for this show and he's not gonna be there for whatever reason, even if they adn't cleared with him first, New Japan historically should strip him of that title, which means he would not be dropping that title in New Japan. That's most likely the case. I think the thoughts of ever seeing him in New Japan a can are probably gone.

After that Instagram post yesterday, Rocky Romero posted right afterwards. I don't believe I could say all of it on the air, but requested that the belt be returned. It's possible that and I tried to reach out to people inside New Japan, didn't expect a response, didn't get a response, So we'll see if I get one before the show goes off the air. But I don't begrudge them for doing what they're doing, even though I don't go back

one bit. I'm just pointing out that I'm not saying that you are, and I'm just saying personally, I don't begrudge them for going go get your money. But I don't blame them, but it's just you shouldn't have done the business that you were doing, and you should have just said we're signing with w w E New Japan right then and there should have pulled the belt off of them, because yes, there was a chance that cool Uncle Paul would be the coolest uncle in the whole wide world and allowed this to go on. But where have they ever had a history, as Brian mentioned,

of ever doing this. So it's it's a frustrating scenario for New Japan, but it's also one that they put themselves in by having Carl Anderson, who was not signed to a rock solid piece of paper for them to go over Hiroshitanahashi win that title. Now I did. I did think that there was an outside chance it could happen, because Hiko Leo is one of Hakku's sons, and you know with Tama Tong, and I actually thought that there could be a small possibility. But obviously that's not the case.

By the way, the name was brought up here on the chat, Alberto Alberto del Rio, al Patron and uh, in fact, it's exact same thing. He was the Triple A Mega Champion, he re signed with w w E. He was allegedly going to go to Triple Mania and drop the title there, and uh, I don want to guess what that happened. Oops, no, it did not. Have a lot of people really want to think that there's

a whole new world that Paula Beck is. Look, w w E is still w w E. Stephanie McMahon is still Vincent McMahon's daughter, and Triple h is still his son in law. They are wired a lot the same. But the bottom line is, when have they ever worked with anybody? When has a tiger ever changed its stripes? Why would they work with you.

It's like when we were making the joke about Vince McMahon. ring that somebody else and dropped that title. That would be nice, but it's not gonna happen, I don't think, but it would be he the right, you know, what's the right thing to do in pro wrestling, you know. But I mean, I guess if you're gonna screw over friends and things like that, because again going never going back there again. He needed the money from the Saudi

injury or anything like that. But if the guy's hurt and he's not wrestled in three weeks and he's trying to heal his shoulder, why are you putting him in the ring in a dark match? There's been a lot of talk, in a lot of online debate over what happened during that match, and you being talked to by a w officials, do you have any comment on that?
