Hello and welcome to the WrestleTalk podcast here every Tuesday, usually every Friday, but not this week, because It is a PLE week. We are here on a Sunday to review WWE Elimination Chamber 2026. I'm Ollie Davis. I'm joined by Luco and D A D. If you haven't already, please subscribe wherever you get your podcasts from. That could be here on YouTube. That could be here on Apple Podcasts. That could be here on Spotify or exciting new news because.
For the first time in ten years. We've been running for ten years now. This is a sort of celebration month of WrestleTalk. We have Punch It Chewy A QR code. This QR code will actually not for now. Send you to the podcast a subscriber, or actually send you to the merch page where you can buy your own WrestleTalk 10. T shirt. Yeah, and and what a fine t-shirt it is as well. Thank you to Lee Wild Goose who helps us out on all
stuff uh who's come up with this logo with us. But yeah, special month of March. And we've got um just a little bit. But like usually we have a QR code on screen that's The the link's in the video description below as well. Th this can feel a bit too intrusive. Um you might have seen on adverts that we've done in the past that you have like a QR code in the top left corner, so it can be there on screen the entire time. So I thought I would just put this one here.
This one feels l less intrusive that you can just scan and it can be there the entire time. For podcast audio listeners, what we've just done is the blue dot for Christian equivalent for the QR code. Yeah, we Mike Wazowski. What is that? I don't get the Mike Wozowski reference. Monsters Inc. I yeah, I know who that is. There's a bit at the end when uh they do the Monsters Inc. logo and it covers his face and Sully's like, Oh, I'm so sorry and he's like, I was on TV
Anyway, yes. Uh happy birthday us, hey? Yeah, ten years. Congratulations to you on ten years hosting the WrestleTalk News. Technically it is longer than that. It's like me I I could say I've been doing it for nine years. Technically I've been doing it for eleven, but realistically I've been doing it for nine years. We'd do one here and there, but then January twenty tw
Twenty sixteen is when I sort of took over and launched this this new era. Um with your fabulous Royal Rumble review of the twenty sixteen Royal Rumble. And then um I don't think the new style of the jump cut. kicked in until a few months. But March is also my birthday month. So I've just lumped it all in together. I think about March, going through the videos, I think March is about when you finally find your feet and ditch the old graph.
By just putting a blue filter over the existing graphics and give and making it that different background and allowing yourself to be jumped. Jump cuts, graphics, and also a little bit of this A little bit of this delivery. Hello and welcome to the I I played my wife one in the old clip. I'm going through all these old clips for the the celebration. Like how Ollie used to sound.
And she was like, He still sounds like that now. No, I don't know. And I was like No he doesn't. She hasn't watched a video in like six years, I guarantee. She hasn't watched a video probably since the first month that I started doing this. She was there to support for that first month and then she was like This wrestling thing is quite I'm I'm I'll tap out. Th there's so many things we've done, you know, like dressed up in
uh ladies' fancy dress outfits, we've done full body suits. Full body suits. We've we've waxed eyebrows and chests and stuff, shaved my head down the middle. I look back on all of that with fondness.
¶ Women's Elimination Chamber
If I hear my voice the way I used to do the news, I want to leave the country. The the fascinating thing there, we'll talk about this more'cause we've got a special podcast that we're gonna do about this sort of thing. But the the the my funny story around that is that when I started
You made me do the voice as well because you said that's what's working for us. I need you to do the voice too. So I started doing the voice and then everyone had a go at me because I sounded like a cheap imitation of you. Then when Laurie started doing it, Laurie said And I told him to. Yeah. And he went, Yeah, okay, I'll do it and then he just spoke like normal lorry and I was in a very awkward position. I thought, but I've told him told him how I want it.
And he said yes and now he's not doing it. Um but that broke the mold. It did, yeah. Allowed everyone to talk normally. Because before then I was just like, Hey John Cena worked, so let's uh let's just make let's make Roman Reigns also John Cena. But yeah, ten years. Well yeah, we've got a whole month of festivities planned, little fun new graphics and little skits in the news.
Uh and we've got the ten biggest news stories of the last ten years on TLC. With me, you and Sean Ross Sapp. Sean Ross Sap. Yeah, and there'll be a Patreon uh episode as well where we go through the ten funniest stories of the last ten Yeah, we've got qu a lot of fun stuff. Ten best wrestle talk moments ever we're gonna do. That is later in the month. Right now, people are probably like, guys, I'm already skipping the QR code bit in general. You've taken five minutes of nostalgia.
It was bang on five bangs. Before you get to the elimination chamber. And the reason being The Elimination Chamber twenty twenty six was also full of fluff and padding. Yeah. Mid chamber. And when things are mid in WWE or wrestling at all, you really start to notice the problems, don't you? Yeah when you've not got that amazing crowd or the really hot characters and storylines, you're like, huh. Mucho de esto es adver...
Why are there only four matches? Well and why is there such a big gap between those four matches? Why aren't there any actual storylines in this match? And he said, I want to see Like the mystery box be a good reveal, uh a push for Finn Bala, what's the third one you Now I said storylines. I would like the Elimination Chamber to do what the Royal Rumble didn't, and that is build some feuds coming out of it that can then pay off at WrestleMania.
And it didn't do that either. So we've now gone through the Royal Rumble and the Elimination Chamber, and we've come at the back of it, and neither Matt. was done to create any stories outside of winners choosing a person and facing them at WrestleMania. Which is st I start po point one of a story. Yeah. I guess people and and you know, Triple H would adjust his tiny man glasses and go, Well Seth Wallins made his return.
He started the next bit in that feud against, I guess, Logan Paul. Great. So we get uh Rollins versus Paul at Mania again. And and Randy won the the chat. I actually really enjoyed the chamber finish. I enjoyed SmackDown uh I l I I'm way more into the chaos of the men's of Drew's title.
than anything on Raw really. Yeah. Um and you know, th they did some things to set that up, but in quite a quite a not clunky way, just a nothing way. But my my point is more. What's uh what's trick getting out of coming out the chain? Oh the rub. What's uh what's Siobhan Evans getting out of it? Bouncing. What's LA Knight's like what is LA? LA Knight out of everyone on this show is getting the anti pushed. Because that poor fellow
He's botched. Oh, okay, this is why you're not a world champion. Uh what's Keanu James' direction coming out of this chamber? Like what happened within this chamber to make me as a viewer go like, oh I can see where they're going with Keanu James? I can see where they're going with Raquel Rodriguez now. I can see where they're going with Askin.
Uh these both of these matches, finishes aside, because I quite enjoyed the the the chaos of the men's chamber at the finish as well, but the match itself was just stuff And then someone won. Yeah, really forgettable, particularly in the women's chain. Um well that's good because usually we start off with the main discussion point.
and then we do the rest of the show play by play. But this discussion point is the whole show was mid. Yeah. So we'll just start from the beginning and we'll lay you know, present our argument for why this was quite planned on the way through. Opens on a video package of CM Punk walking around Chicago and he's like, Chicago, it's been through so much pressure. came out victorious. The chamber, that's also pressure. I'm like, I don't is it? It's like
It's dangerous, isn't it? Well, I mean, going by how the uh WWE superstars treated the chamber, I don't think there was a pressure or be danger in the match at all. Do you remember the times when someone would get to a chamber and just look, stop and look and go? Oh no, I'm about to step in.
And then Javon Evans runs down like he's at a trampoline bouncy castle party. Yeah. It's like, Yeah I'm in the chamber. I'm in the chamber. Trick was doing the same thing as well. Like Randy was doing like no one Randy did stop. But I think that was just muscle memory. Randy Orton fun fact, I watched Randy Orton's entrance at two times speed and it felt like I was watching it at point five speed.
Still so incredibly slow even at double speed. Yeah, and Iroh in that men's match, you know, he comes out last, does very little, he's not paid by the hour. But then he does such a long entrance. Like he is paid by the hour. Anyway, CM Punk says Chamber pressure. Chicago pressure. So that's why the t the elimination chamber feels like home. That that's a neat like reveal go home line at the end.
made much better if you were in a chamber match punk. Do you think this was filmed uh like in you know, September last year when the plan was for Punk to win the elimination versus who could face Seth Rollins for the title at Mania. Sho should we should we change it? Should we update it, trips? I don't care. Uh then we have Michael Cole opened the broadcast with
It's the final pay-per-view before Mania. This is the last stop on the road to WrestleMania. A line he would do three times in the next five minutes. Yeah, he is on Woody Pulstry. I think you know like how we said when WWE's really hot, you don't notice its sort of flaws or the things you don't like about WWE's style.
I think it might be the same with Cole. Yeah. Because Cole does make a lot of mistakes, right? But when the product's hot, I don't mind it because it's passion. Passion shines through. I love professional wrestling. You know, that call at the end of wrestling.
But when the product's not as exciting, I'm just like, man, you make a lot of mistakes. Yeah. Well we I did what's it called? Javon Williams, I think. He merged two people together in the main event. Well we also Or was that the ring and it's I can't remember now, but either way we
We said on a show a couple of weeks back that um oh I'd rather I made the point. I was like it feels like a lot of Vincesms on the show at the moment and Michael Cole constantly saying possibly the greatest WrestleMania match in history. I was like, That feels like real Vince brand And we don't get a lot of that from Cole usually. And someone points out to me, Have you forgotten taken WWE by storm? Have Dow Penned and I was like, I actually have.
And I think part of that is because that was in a period of time when the product was actually quite hot and there there was a lot of excitement around John Cena and their heel turn and the build towards WrestleMania. Sure, we were having a bit of fun by saying that he was saying it every week, but it wasn't bothering.
Now Trick Williams came out and he said, Trick Williams is taking smack down by storm and I was like, Oh, there you go, pull the pole string. There's a snake in my boots. Someone poisoned the water hole. Waterhole? Water hell? Whatever it is. Uh well as bad as Cole was, and I did do think he had a bad night, I thought way barren.
He was great. Oh my god. He was selling the danger of the chamber. Yeah. He was like, I don't want to be in this match. I've been in three of them before and I didn't like any of them. I know we're jumping around, but there was just a bit in the thin punk match, a feud based on, you know, home field advance.
And Wade just said, Well the thing being a sort of international wrestler, you're always on a away turf wrestling in America. So Finn's used to that. I was like, oh my god, I have never thought of that. Yeah. Thought he was really insane. Add a lot to that. Um because someone needed to. Then we had the women's chamber match to start things off. Jay Cargill is watching from the crowd and it started off with Kiana James and Tiffany Straddon. Well I mean I've d I wanted to make something about the
'Cause this was a show of like it took twenty minutes before the first bell sounded. So everything we've just talked about then took twenty minutes to actually do. The entrances Alexa Bliss came out. She got to a Asker came out, looked at Alexa Bliss, got into a pod. Raquel came out, looked at Alexa Bliss, looked at Aska, got into a pod. Rhea Ripley came out, she looked at Alexa Bliss, she looked at Aska, she looked at Raquel, got into a pod.
Kiana James came out, she looked at Alexa Bliss, she looked at Aska, she looked at Raquel Rodriguez, she looked at Rhea Ripley, then got into the ring. Then Tiffany Stratton came out. She looked at Alexa Bliss, she looked at Asker, she looked at Kel Rodriguez, she looked at Rhea Ridley, then she got into the ring and looked at Keanu James. I was like, Get to the point! Like this is taking so long. But it's also
Yeah the the men's match was kind of similar, but they weren't doing the looking that they're all like, I'm so happy to be here. Like Trick and Javon had the same entrance, I think, with variations. It just makes me feel like maybe Are they re have they replaced all the Are we? Are we watching an AI prompt? Yeah. I I haven't thought of it that way, but maybe this is actually the next level of WWE. Is they've got so much footage to go on that they can just put in prompt
And it'll kick out a match for you. And AI is quite you know, quite believable these days. Well, AI, one of its greatest things is doing the stuff that's already been done. And that's what this show felt like. Doing stuff that's already been done, but worse. Yeah. Or m or more bland, without any soul. It is. It's an AI prompt. Yeah.
Um so yeah, James and Tiffany started things off, then we had Askar out, then we had Alexa Bliss out, then we had Rhea out, then Asker misted Alexa and Keanu James eliminated her, and then Raquel came out, and then the first semblance of any kind of story began. There was Raquel's big and she beat up everybody. There was a a moment when Bliss uh did a twisted bliss off the pod to the lightest of this. I know. This is Chicago. This was like any nothing episode of Raw. Yeah. Absolutely.
You could go, oh yeah, but the Bronson Reed injury in Memphis, you know, really, really killed the crowd. Like, no, you've got to start taking responsibility for these poor crowds. You cannot go to Chicago with CM Punk and A. J. Lee winning or retaining their titles and have an apathet apathetic crowd for the most part. That's not on Chicago. That's on your products because I'm watching Dynamite and Collision every week and they're incredibly hot crowds. Yeah. With like uh you know
A fifth of the size, even more than that. Like two thousand fans at Dynamite. There was nineteen thousand fans here, but the two thousand at dynamite sounded twenty times louder than the nineteen thousand here in Chicago. We're at this point when they're in New York, not that
And the New York crowd was there. I was like, Are we sure? Oh no, it Philadelphia, wasn't it? I was like, Are we sure we're in Philadelphia? Because this does not sound like a Philadelphian wrestling crowd. This did not sound like a Chicago wrestling crowd. That twisted bliss spot you mentioned, I would say was the One of two spots that happened.
And I I could not tell you a single other thing that happened in this match. No well so I we talked about this on Russell Talk Extra before. When we've done like Royal Rumbles like on the pod That you say like number twenty three is Kofi Kingston and you'll write a spot that
And there have been times when I'm writing my notes. I'm like, I haven't written a note in ages. This is really bad because I need to do something, I need to have something to say on the podcast. So I should really take some notes. And I'll just start writing stuff down and I'm like, I'm never gonna say this because this is this is nothing happening stuff. I shouldn't even read like note down when something important happens or something that's note.
And you're right, it wasn't until the Twisted Bliss and Raquel coming in that something actually happened within Smash. It was just stuff. And that by the way, five minutes to begin with, you know, with the first two. And then it just said intervals. I don't know if there was an actual time period. But the three other entrants. So we're fifteen minutes into the match, Raquellan And that's when yeah.
I guess a story starts to be told. But it's not as one of the other problems is none of these women really have any dynamics between each other, Carol. Sure you've got Ripley and Asuka, but Ripley just dropped the tag belt. And that was more with Eo and Aska. And it was more Eo and Asuka and anyway, that stuff has been going on for months and months and months and is building building to a tag feed. Raquel. She's she's in the Stephanie Vicare or Liv Morgan stuff. Tiffany
I guess she wants the title back, I don't know, but I don't want to see Jade and Tiffany again. Kiana James is just there. Alexa you I think you actually put that eloquently in your edited review.
She is there to give the illusion that they are pushing a new star. Um, Alexa Bliss is also just there, mostly in tag team stuff. And Asuka, you know, the best wrestler in the match, is also just it's like Usually you you book and it sometimes it can be predictable, but it's predictable for a reason because it's the generally smart thing to do. There's six people in the chamber. That's usually you putting three singles feuds together. Yes, absolutely.
Because then you you work off those. And then maybe who's the next person out gonna be? Because Damian Priest is standing tall Oh no, it's it the person he's feuding with changes the dynamic. Yeah. But this is just Just the middle part of a rumble when no one has any relationship with each other, they get in and they do a spot. And that's what happened. Six Le Parkers came.
Raquel comes out, she runs wild, um, she she sort of does this great tackle through two pod through both sides of the pod bay doors, how and Then everyone gangs up to take her. No, she eliminates Asuka and Kiana James. Yeah, at the same time. That's not how I would book Askab.
I'm a bit sore by it. But she's just there. I know. She did the mist. What more do you want? Uh the only other spot of note is Raquel's up top with Tiffany. Rhea's on top of the pod. She hits a cannonball off the top of the pod onto Rhea. Tiffany's You eliminate Raquel. Blah blah blah. Crowd booed. Yeah, crowd booed because they were really like actually kind of getting into Raquel a little bit because she was kind of rad. Blah blah blah. Riptime.
We did our prediction show on Wednesday where we were going through and was like, Well, Tiffany seems like the only other person that can it's the realistically the only person who can win this match'cause Rhea Ripley is doing gonna be doing tag stuff leading into WrestleMania. That's the story they've been telling since like last October is the Rhea Ripley and EO Sky going up against the Kabuki Warriors and fleshing out this women's tag team.
And then on SmackDown, Rhea Ripley got pinned and dropped those tag tiles, and I immediately went on to Wrestle League and changed my prediction to Rhea Ripley's gonna win the chamber then. Well what did I say in our prediction? I was like, well, I could see a w I was stuck between Tiffany and Rhea because I thought they need a big match for Jade. It's not Tiffany. The big match is to have Rhea Ripley in there. Yeah. That's what they want right now. Screw all the plans you've been building.
They're not working. So we need big stars versus title holders. Yeah. I mean it makes sense, right? Like the when Rhea dropped the belt, actually had a few people text me on Saturday being like, oh so Rhea's gonna win the chamber.
Like that's what I figure now. Um and I think that makes sense. She is the biggest star within this match. She should be put into one of the big title match Domania. I do think that that is also a damning indictment of W. When they pointed out this is her fifth WrestleMania and it's her fifth world title match out WrestleMania. That is a damning indictment of your booking ability that you've not been able to create any semblance of new stuff.
And you just keep going. Just keep breaking glass in case of emergency and pulling Rhea Ripley out. You did it last year at Mania. Yeah. When like that match was EOSky versus Bianca Bailey but uh oh break glass, bring out Rhea Ripley And they've just done it again. Do you think this was the last week or last two weeks a change? Yeah, I think it's within the last week or so. Yeah. It off the back of this mania ticket sales are low because they were clearly building and very not in the last month
Rumble Chamber. But the latter bit of last year. That women's tag team scene, with Bailey and Lyra, Aska and Kyrie, Rhear and Eo, Bliss and Charlotte. That was excellent. And it's like, man, I mean it's please make it a three way triple threat rather than like a a six person TLC match. But I mean maybe that's what they think we've got our three teams. Or they'll just do six.
I hadn't thought about it until after they dropped the tag titles, but you said it on our prediction show. We said about the women's tag titles, and you said they s they haven't done that storyline. They haven't been doing that for ages. And you're like, Well, you're absolutely right. I wonder if they made the decision three weeks ago. When they had that all departments meeting about these low tickets.
that they made the decision then to put Rhea Ripley into the title match. Because I can it kind of probably tracks then they just stopped doing EO and Rhea as a tag team. I think also they probably hoped Bianca Belair would come back by this point. I do I do feel like that. Yeah. It it feels like the women's rumble was also Oh, but surely Bel Air will be Oh no, she's not. Oh okay, Tiffany's at number third. So yeah, Rhea's not even on SmackDown. No but she is
I don't know what Tiffany's gonna be doing at Mania. I don't really see what EO's now gonna be doing at WrestleMania. I don't really see what I like Alexa Bliss and Charlotte will probably be in the tag team match because they're doing the thing of Charlotte Charlotte is fine that Alexa Bliss was in the chamber and she's not. So at least there is Some semblance of a story there that you can play.
Radio. But other than that, we've got Rhea Cargill that's not been set up at all building into this. It is the best match you can do, like in terms of star power. But the other five people in here What was the point? Yeah. This is Elimination Chamber. What is the point? What's Raquel got out of this? What's James got out of this? What's Asker got out of this, Bliss? And
Asker. So the nothing the way that I'd imagine the creative team would do it, but Bruce, if Bruce Pritchard was on this podcast and you you are the role of Conrad Thompson.
¶ Becky Lynch vs. AJ Lee
And you just said then, what was the point of doing any of this? I would say as Bruce Pritchard, Kana James pins uh Alexa Bliss. Ri uh Raquel Rodriguez pinned two people at the same time. She got a lot coming out of that. Because if you just look at those moments in isolation Wow. Kiana James pinned Alexa Bliss, that feels massive. Raquel Rodrigger's pinned Tupia Whoa, that feels massive. None of those things are actually connected to anything else that they're currently doing at the moment.
Because Raquel is linked over here with this Live Morgan Stephanie thing, which is useful. It out is just on pause until after Live Wins the title, and then Raquel can be a challenger after that, rather than you know, sewing some seed like doing a story now, just pressing pause on a story, giving her something to do here, and then you can press unpause in a month and a half.
Roxanne Perez got a lot of this treatment last year. Bingo. She was the runner up in the rumble. She was runner up in the chamber as well, I think. Whereas Yeah. Why isn't she in this match to build some tension with Raquel overlives? Oh is she? I think well that doesn't excuse Lassia's booking. Eller hotellreceptionist? Jurist, kemist eller reservdelspecialist. Фу, hjälп меня. Företag Tillsammans skapar vi ett hämt.
Next up, we have Becky Lynch and AJ Lee for the women's IC title. And this is where I was like, oh man, this crowd. aren't my typical Chicago crowd. Do you know what I I suddenly hit me that 'Cause I didn't know this, and maybe I should have done. I have really bought into the fact that Chicago is AJ Lee's hometown. It's not. She's from New Jersey. Yeah, but
Hail's from But yeah, but they didn't announce that. They announced her as from New Jersey. Yeah. And I was like, Oh, oh she's not from Sh you keep telling me that this is in her in front of her home people. But then they're like, Oh, it's her adoptive home. Which is fine, but I wonder if this Chicago crowd didn't think that,'cause especially when they said she's from New Jersey. Well, if they weren't gonna lean into that or they thought that wasn't gonna click, save it for mania.
Well, I so a few people have said this when I get to our Patreon feedback that everything was predictable outside of uh a few people said I thought Becky would win here, so AJ could get the big win at Maine. I for me I was like though it's predictable she wins here. A it's in Chicago so you can do the moment with punk. B she can then lose the title back at Mania. She's a part-timer. She's not gonna be around post.
What'd be the point of giving her the title when it mania then she's gone until WrestlePalooza? You may as well just have her drop the title win the title now, drop it at Mania, then she can disappear again and the title stays on TV. It makes m it makes way more sense to do it here. Um So Lee comes out. The there's not that super passionate AJ Lee chant that I thought we were gonna get, which is the whole reason for that.
But then they don't wrestle the match I thought would be best for this. And I think the ma AJ just became generic babyface. Where was Crazy age. Or I've I've lost it, I'm gonna do something th as soon as there was a ref bump in this map. W that's when AJ should do the sort of great facials that she had from a previous run and she's like, Okay, Becky's been cheating on me. Now it's my turn to have some fun. It was n that never did anything like that. She just wrestled a quite basic
semi gymnastic style, you know, with the the tilde world and the Yeah. Maybe play it safe. So first singles match in ten years. Playing it safe is Just using brawling. You you're more likely to injure yourself off a tildeweld than just throwing some worked punches. I'm more men carry so. Just play it so. Don't go in. Don't do anything mad. Don't do anything crazy. This is this is gonna build to a rematch. Don't do everything in this match here.
Well, if that was if that was the mentality, I think that's the wrong decision because this this this story hasn't connected this year. No um her character obviously did not work with the crowd, nor me, because the stuff that got the crowd involved was Becky Not AJ's baby.
Yeah. And and her the stuff she was doing with the ref. Mm. Like with stuff she was doing with Jessica Carr. Like that stuff was getting over. I wanna see Lynch versus Carr. That's more than I do Lynch versus Lee. That's the mania match. There was uh she put up on uh Twitter uh just like in all caps carr
¶ CM Punk vs. Finn Balor
And I was like, that's what Steve Austin said at Survivor Series 999. What hit you, Steve? So the finish, which did get people involved because, you know, I think WWE have conditioned the crowd to only pop for entrances, interference. and a bunch of twists and turns right at the end of the match. Which means the actual people just sit on their hands'cause they're like, Oh, I'll wait for when the thing the shenanigans begin. Yeah. So we got Becky exposing turnbuckle, referee car puts it back on.
She turns round and then Becky accidentally super kicks her. Visual tap from Becky and the Black Widow spills outside. Becky gets a chair. D D's, I think, AJ onto the chairman Sam, AJ kick out. Becky runs into the turnbuckle that she exposed, so she was the architect of her own demise. AJ gets the Black Widow. Becky Tan. Yeah, I mean I rate the the crowd aren't hot. They're not cold either. They're just there. Wasn't hot, it wasn't cold, it was just there.
It's an AI crowd. It was a These were also NPCs. This was a contractual obligation, and this crowd were also a contractual obligation. Uh we cut backstage, Adam Pierce and Nick Aldis are with the box and they're teasing. And then our truth came in and was like, What's in the box? It's a papa John's pizza. He had his own box of pizza.
And for a moment I thought, oh my god, it's a brand new. It's a sponsored thing. Is is I don't know, if the is Papa John a man? Would he could he come out the box? An actual a big Papa John. Yeah. Daddy John? Daddy J? Uh but no, that was just a setup for later. Advert, advert, advert, advert Vodka. Yeah, do you like it? Then CM Punk and Finn Bala had their match. Punk had an awesome entrance. Yeah, I'm not a sports guy, right? I think that's been pretty well established on this show, but
If there was an American sport that I was going to enjoy, it would probably be basketball. Quite like of the basketball I have watched, I have quite enjoyed. Actually quite a little bit of American football. I find it I find the playoff stuff too complicated to understand. But Americans explain it to me multiple times over. I just don't get it. And I think it is complicated, needlessly complicated. Basketball, I kinda like just watching the the the sport.
But really when I say that, what I mean is I liked watching the Chicago Bulls in the nineteen nineties.'Cause that was awesome. Michael Jordan, Scottie Pippen, don't like that was that was awesome. And that documentary they did on Netflix is awesome. And this was awesome. This was really, really cool. So you have Punk getting the g I don't know why Goldberg was referenced. Uh Punk gets the walk from backstage from the locker room to Gorilla. Uh the the actual
Like announcer guy for Jordan? Apparently was doing things. It wasn't specifically just Michael Jordan, it was the it was the Chicago Bulls in the nineteen. And he gets the the sort of he didn't have his own like Alberto Del Rio Ricardo Rodriguez ringing out. And punk comes out and because it's punk, it's Chicago, exactly. And he's got this cool build up to the end.
The crowd did come alive. I'm like, oh, this is this is the Chicago crowd. It's cobbering time. And then the actual match I thought was by far the match of the night for me, but still it's a four star match. What I like about Is Punk has been telling this story this year because he had this story during the first Finn match and he had it in the Bronn Breaker match as well. He is against his greatest enemy at the moment is Father.
He is an old man. He is old man punk, and that is his current weakness. is he is frail and he is fragile and he's old and he's not in good cond well he's not he's in good condition but he's in not as good of a condition as his opponents are. Brombreaker was in much better condition than uh Punch. Bala was in much better condition than Punk was in both of them.
So Punk so Punk was fighting against not just his opponent but also the concept of time against him. And that's what Roman Reigns is referring to in his tweet as well, being like you're old and you're washed. It's gonna be a cakewalk. Right. So now Punk has told a story through matches to build to a WrestleMania match. Great. That I actually that's really good. It's what you should be doing with these wrestling matches is telling a story that builds to a match at WrestleMania. Yeah, because
Punk gets Punk sells exhaustion really well, and that's in this match. You know, he's getting back and forth. It's not like Bala works him over so Punk's being outmatched. technique or skill It's just the longer the match goes on. he looks isn't, but like he is performing as being gassed. You know, his hair gets all ruffled, he's gone this weird shade of red. And I yeah, it it really adds drama to it. Um
The problem is this was a total foregone conclusion. So you could never get into the near falls. I don't think they did enough to ever make you think Finn could win. Um so this is I described it as Monster of the Week. stuff. This is just Monster of the Week'cause the big season finale stuff is Roman.
Does this really escalate anything to do with the Roman feud? Maybe slightly in the bit that you said, but you know, that could have been a promo. Um I guess this is more show don't tell though. I which I prefer. Yeah, yeah, definitely. But ultimately...
This was more about turning cementing Finn as a baby face. Yeah. There was a moment in the match when he looked up to the ramp. So they had said at the start of the match, and he'd say this on Raw as well. I want to do this on my own. I don't want any interference. Don't need Dom or J.
¶ WWE Wastes So Much Time
And there was a point he hit the coup de gras and punk kicks out and Bala stands up and he looks up at the ramp and you can see him thinking it's time for me to call in the cavalry. And he decides against it, no, I'm not gonna do I'm just gonna carry on. And that Lensa he lost it they put over on commentary, he made one
That was all he did. He made one mistake, punk caught him uh when he went for that coup de gra into the sharpshooter, and then he hit the GTS and he won. What a reversal. Straight reversal, right? How does that work? Yeah, Finn hit a coup de gras.
And caught that into a sharpshoot. Yeah, it's like gr like he had his leg up and then just sort of like rolled him into it. Very, very cool. I don't know. The animation must have skipped. Because I can't see the join and how they did that, but that was very well done. Um yeah, a little brawl outside, but they go back in the ring and yeah, it's a GTS to win. Very good match, no judgment day interference.
This was more just let's get it out of the way because we've got to get on to the proper thing now, which is the Yeah. I think there could have been more of this Judgment Day story here. I I I feel that the direction is gonna be Dom versus Finn for the IC title, uh, at Mania. Maybe something within there. I get we you can do that.
I th you can do something on raw. But at least they they did some a li a few bits here and there. So it's one of the few things I could point to and be like, there might have been a point to this. There might have been a point to it, but ultimately as a match, it was a foregone conclusion.
Arguably pointless as well. I mean look, if they do a judgment day split on Raw, that would have happened if this match had not happened. Yes. Yeah. Uh AJ came down to celebrate with her husband. They've both got titles. Well not styles. Somehow They got less of a pop together than Punk was getting by himself. It doesn't go here. Okay, so the punk match ends. The bell rings at one hour fifty-four minutes in this three-hour Three hours two. The next match doesn't begin as in bell rings
until two hours thirty-three minutes in. That is a thirty-seven minute. No, that's a thirty-nine oh I've done the maths wrong. That is a thirty-nine minute White of nothing. Nearly two episodes of Friends. Or a full episode of Star Trek Lost Worlds. Brave New World. Yeah, you're right. That is a that is a whole next generation episode. Yeah. Forty minutes, roughly.
And you want to talk about the TNG episode that you watched the other day? It was great Like Data goes down to this world where only he can go because of the radiation. A whole civilization has grown from settlers from ninety years ago. They've got pride about where they live. Data's gotta convince them, despite not understanding humanity,
why they need to leave because the Shaleks or whatever they're called, they're coming along, and they own the world, and they're gonna kill anyone on it. Meanwhile, the card has got to deal with the treaty that That the the the Federation have broken with the Shellac, whatever they're called, and there's just this complete mismatch in how they talk to each other and communicate. And Picard's got
their culture and how best to deal with it and go through a very long five hundred page legal document to find a loophole. Suspense, character, intrigue. Forty minutes.
¶ Danhausen WWE debut
And what do we get here? We got a guy coming out of a box, giving a man some teeth, and about well, six entrances and twelve minutes of adverts. Yeah. On a PLE. I know. I know, bud. And the thing that it's kind of remarkable in a way, you know. And I'd be and I don't know what's the thing that people people were down on me at during this period. In twenty twenty three I was pointing this out, being like there's so much downtime on these shots.
And I was on that show, I was on this podcast being like, Oh man, since post WrestleMania, post-39, this show's been fairly bland. It's been like not a lot's happening. It's just Cody, Kevin, and Sammy versus variations of the judgment days. A lot of the same thing. But everyone it would everyone was really positive on the show. Everyone was really positive on WWE. So people would be like, you're just a hate.
And I'm like, yeah, but there's a lot of this downtime here. It's like doesn't matter that the show's really hot. Like, well, when you're hot, you can do nothing wrong.
And then through 2024, and you had after WrestleMania 40, I was coming out of WrestleMania 40 being like, like that show was great, but man, there's a lot of downtime, a lot of these episodes, not a lot going on. And people are like, but the show's great. When it's hot, it's hot. It's only now that the show is cold, everyone is being like Actually, you know what? There is a lot of downtime on these shows. Like it's been this way for a while, but you can paper over those cracks if you have a hot.
Yeah, yeah, and full credit to you, you have been calling this out from probably the moment it began. And I was one of those people I was like, I don't mind. Because the sh like the the shows are so big. I think I probably made an argument about it making the matches feel more important. Um but now yeah, it's gone completely The tide has gone out and you can see this just rubbish filled shoreline.
Um so what rubbish would um indicate there was something there. I don't other than there was anything ever there. I think he is just a bland guy. Well we did have the crate. So within these thirty eight minutes of downtime, we did have the punk bala handshake. We had the AJ so the entrances for the men's chamber. But in between all that we had Pierce and Aldous just on the stage. They've they both sort of crowbar open the box, the crate. And they leave. And then walked away. Yeah.
It's very weird state. This whole you're the centre of this box. The box was sent to you both. And a and and like obviously this is a zany segment, but the zaniness shouldn't be Aldous and Pierce. They should be curious. They want surely they want to see what's in the box. Not actually be Part of the production of Danhausen's surprise dance. So anyway, they open the box, they leave, a bunch of women dressed as Danhausen come out doing a dance. Danhausen himself comes out.
mints down to the ring, gives Michael Cole a jarful of teeth, gets in the ring, does his pose, does a little fun firework pop, and then he disappears. Yeah. To a I would say a mild pop. And then booze. I don't know why the crowd booze. I don't know if the crowd just thought it was gonna be something bigger and then there was just it was disappointment that it was Danhausen. Maybe they were like, Can we have a match now? Or I think maybe it's that this crowd and this is oh WWE Ritz Love.
Only watch WWE. Mmm. A very big portion of WWE fans don't watch NXT. They just watch RAW. They just watch SmackDown. Don't watch main events. They don't watch Evolve. Don't watch Level Up or anything. They just watch WWE Raw and WWE. So when you've got this if you that is your only exposure to wrestling and you've got this tease of a box
This guy comes out, does a weird dance with some weird funny and I actually thought the entrance song was was phenomenal, I thought it was was great. It's pure Danhausen and he gives Michael Cole some teeth, then he poses in the ring and he goes pfft and then he disappears.
Yeah, you're gonna boo that because like well what the what the f was this? What a I've just paid like two hundred dollars for a back row seat and and this is it? Like this is what the big Chris Jericho? I I don't even I don't have no idea who this is. I've I know what a Danhausen is, I don't know what cursing is, I don't know what very nice very evil is. If this is your first exposure to Danhausen, I'm not surprised you might boo this. And it's also not just the WWE fan.
Ju sure he's been in AEW. But you know when he was last at AEW? Like I think he had one appearance, one or two appearances a year ago, and then a a year of nothing before then. He's a very niche character. Now, I will say the execution of the Dan House concept in this I can't find any fault with Super. Vanhausen is not for me. I don't know why, because it feels like he should be, but for whatever reason, I just don't fully
Get it. But I do understand that a lot of people do love him. You said this when he was in AEW as well. When he debuted, I was like, Oh, this will be cool, this would be fun. And you were like, Well it's not I'm I mean I do get it. I totally get what he's doing. I'm a big fan of German expressionism.
expressionism, I've seen the monsters. You know, I I know what he is doing. It just doesn't that's what more what I mean. I'm just not a fan of it. That that's what I meant when you said like you didn't get it, where it's just like I don't see what the appeal of this is for a wrestling show. But but I do I can understand why people look I I Jeff Hardy I don't yes I'm not a fan of, but I can see why people would be
Same with Danhausen. But now, Danhausen in twenty twenty six. I'm glad that he's I'm really happy for him because he seems like a lovely And I like it whenever someone does something weird with wrestling. I think there should be more of But Danhausen's momentum really is three years ago. And so you've got a cold gimmick,'cause if he's coming in two years ago.
Pfft, I think I think there's a big pop. Or or like at least more excitement outside of the building. But I do not see or have any faith in Paul Levesque booking this gimmick properly. I s I cannot see what you're gonna do with Dan How. in this era this iteration of WWE. Powerhouse obs like Like he powerhouse hops jumps from AW to WWE. I'm like, that makes sense. Ricky Saints makes sense. Ryan May makes sense. Jade Cargill completely makes sense. Danhausen is so neat.
That it didn't work in AEW. Like which is which is a bit more of a wacky place times. Like Orange Cassidy works in AEW, but Danhausen just didn't.
And I think part of that's on Tony Khan. I think Tony Khan brought in Danhausen because um it was you know, Ring of Honor connections, but also he's like, That is a popular gimmick on the internet, I'll bring this in. Then he got and was like, actually I don't really know what to do with I'll partner him with Hook and we'll do some Hook Howls and stuff, but I don't know what to do with him after that.
And I think the same thing's gonna happen here. And I just cannot see what Triple H or Road Dog is gonna do to sit there and be like, Oh, uh here's a really fun he'll end up just doing like comedy skits backstage doing sponsorships. Yeah. He'll show up against Alderson Pierce with a Papa John's box and be like, Ah, very nice, very evil, a pizza and and that that that's it. That's what you'll get out of Dannhausen. It'll be or or if he gets
If he gets anything on screen or a match, it it'll be like the El Grande Americano stuff, which is the same joke told every week to diminishing returns. You might get partnered with Alpha. And just be a a new recruit for Alpha Academy. Like I I don't know. I mean I I felt like I was a bit harsh on Dan House when we did the predictions because I was really like I was like, I don't see the point because like as you said there. You you said three years ago, I would argue he was over four years.
uh maybe even like getting towards five years ago was like sort of the peak of his his his internet popularity. But he I think you're right, he's a seems like a lovely chap. Seems like a genuinely nice bloke and I'm really happy that he's got into this opportunity. I'm glad that CM Punk has got him a job because they are clearly
and that's a nice thing to happen. I just can't see I just don't see what's next. I can't I can't I can't visually picture what you do next with Danhausen. I I th I think the XR I don't have faith in Levet. for his tastes and his style and to be honest, the amount of effort he seems to put into creative at the moment, I can't see him making Danhausen work. So you're like, well maybe, you know, like how the bloodline, a lot of that was Reigns and Heyman
Making it work themselves. Maybe Danhausen's come in under the idea that Punk wants to do Danhausen's creation. Maybe you get a f Roman's not gonna be around a bunch. You get a fun Danhausen punk romance on screen. Roman beats the crap out of it.
¶ Men's Elimination Chamber
And there's an angle. That's the only thing I could think of, but you know it's very high. Who knows? Who cares? What's the point? I got a real whiff of and it's obviously it's different because it's different creative regime. Broken Matt Hardy. Yeah. When WWE brought brought back Matt Hardy because he got himself over in TNA with the broken gift.
was like, oh wow, this thing's massively hot. Let's bring the Hardy boys back. And the first thing they did was drop all the broken stuff and just have them do a nostalgia rax. Then eventually they were like, fine, do the broken thing.
And they never actually gave it any time of date. Do you remember when they did that broken match and Michael Cole apologized that they were putting it on TV? Michael Cole's reaction to being like, oh, Jared Teeth, what's this all about? Wasn't like him selling the gimmick. Felt more like Michael Cole being like, And you gotta see Michael Cole as a mouthpiece for Triple H. Yeah. Just like how he was a mouthpiece for Vince McMahon before. And to the you know, last thing to possibly say on this.
It did get booed. Yeah. Which is not which is now in Chicago. In Chicago. Which is, you know, and I think he's from Chicago. Oh is he? Oh my God. I th he might have I'll I'll Google that in a second. Look look into that. Um
If you and I are sitting here being like, I can't see where they're gonna go with this. WWE if you're backstage in WWE and you've just given this guy three weeks worth of like tra tease and intrigue and then he gets booed when he gets revealed, it's probably not a great sign for you. Well let's do the men's elimination chamber after this thirty-eight minute, thirty-nine minute wait from the end of the punk.
Uh yeah, we got the stuff we spoke about before, Trick Williams, very charismatic. He poses on top of the pod. Oh, he's from Michigan. And then we got LA Knight getting a huge pop. Everyone's got the same sort of thing. Logan pulls him because Jeus was attacked by And was never meant to win the match on Monday. So Jeyus was attacked on SmackDown by a mist another mystery attacker. Yeah, we currently have a mystery attacker on Jacob Fattu, a mystery masterman, and now a mystery attacker on J U.
But we've we've revealed the mist the masked mystery attack. We've consolidated them. Well yeah, like it this this makes sense because Bronson Reed was supposed to be in And clearly they were gonna do the Seth Rollins run in, so they needed Seth Rollins to interfere on someone from the vision in the match. So that that's just on SmackDown, well, Jay Usa's been taken out and now Logan Paul's in the match.
Um no one was selling how scary the chamber is, and Cody and Javon start things off, then tricks out first. Trick and Chabon have a because they're NXT uh rivals. Then it's Logan, everyone beats up Logan, that's fun. Then Knight comes out. Larry's yeah. Then Knight comes out. He's feuding with the vision, so of course he goes for Logan Paul. He
him with the vision. Um then that they they throw Logan Paul off the top of the pod. Again, no no like hugely insane spots that you would remember. There was a BFT on top of the pod on Evans. Well that was just to keep Evans up there so he could then do and I thought he might do an OG cutter, but he just did a a splash to get himself eliminated. Because next up is Randy Orton. So the everyone's in now. Javon's on top of the pod, and I'm like, okay.
Okay. I can see where this I can see the vision here. I can see where this is going. Why would you build to this? There was no real thing between Randy and Javon here. They both have variations of the same finisher. If I'm mad. Going back to our AI, this was an AI prompt show. If you are playing this on two K and you get a move done up to you on top of the chamber pod, and then you just have to sit there because you're exhausted or you're like on dangerous.
When you wake up, you're just like, I'm just gonna jump now. Yeah. I'm just gonna do the first move I can possibly do now that my character has stood up again. And I think that's what he did. Uh then we get a well I think he he just hit a frog splash off of it onto trick but it didn't. You know, it's not Montez Ford hanging off the top of the the the cage ceiling.
And you know, when I'm not doing Javon down, but because he wasn't booked to have those impressive spots, the whole point of having him in here is to do something crazy. No no no. Is to give you the illusion that they are pushing near stars. Uh yeah. Well they're they're absolutely not because Evans and Williams. You know, Williams is one of the more hot people in the company. And I I he's really clicked with the audience. He's got something special. Why not have him last till the end?
I know you've got the I d I know you've got what you want to do, but maybe book a version where he can last to the end or at least have some shine. Rather than that, Logan eliminates Trick. Evans and LA Knight in pretty quick success. Not because it's Logan Paul, but because that was the spot that Bronson Reed probably had. That's a that's it that is it.
And they never changed it. That's exactly what it is. It's just because Bronserie was gonna get the monster spa. Why? Because there's nothing that would have Logan Paul. Why was he eliminating these two exciting new pieces of talent? I didn't even put that together. But you remember when Bron Breaker was in the rumble and they just gave him g to replace Brock Lesnar? And rather than rewrite, they just gave him all of Brock's spots.
That's you're absolutely right. That's all they've done is just given him what Bronson Reed was supposed to do in this match. 'Cause you could make the argument, Oh, it's to get mega heat because he's the mega star Logan Paul and no one likes him. But he wasn't getting mega heat from this crowd. I someone said to me it's like it's not even not even getting X.
I don't think he just like from this crowd, he just got the same level of heel heat that Keanu James was getting. Yeah. Um we'll just cover LA Knight before we get on to the the finish. LA Knight just had a bad couple of minutes. Firstly, he didn't probably cover Cody. And the referee was like, you need to put the shoulders on the mat, buddy. And then he's doing you know, he he not perfect with his second rope L eight night, yeah, elbow.
But he jumps off of it. Who was he to Randy? The worst person in this match you would be doing it to. And he just sort of doesn't hit the move. He just lands on his feet. Yeah, it's cause he slips. Yeah, so he jumped up to the second rope, slipped, then obviously went fell, walked over, gave a little kick to Randy, then hit his elbow drop. But he was already on the second rope.
He slipped after he did his pose. Yeah, because that's what he does. So he does the pose, then he jumps up to the top rope, then does the elbow. Not a not a great night for for for Mr. Knights. And then Logan eliminates him of course. The reason Logan got these spots also because Bronson Reed, um, is to set up what happened next. A masked man starts to climb the chamber. That's not how chambers work, mate. There's there's a lid on them. And security drag him down.
They pull off the mask to reveal another guy. I guess we're meant to believe th these are all Seth Rollins trainees, like the guy on SmackDown. So yeah, apparently they both are from his training school. But yeah, they are they were bo two red herrings. And they carry him out uh they escort him out, pierce his screen.
And this lets another masked man walk into the cage. And you you you immediately knew okay this guy's a serious star uh and I th I thought just the way he carried himself, his gaunt um Well g gaunt is if you're not looking well. Gaunt. What's Yeah, y you have a gaunt when you the way you walk. You say gauntlets? No. It's how cats recognize humans.
What's it you know, the the sort of way in which you walk What? Sorry, do you wanna repeat that sentence again? It's how cats recognize humans. Cats recognize humans by the the way they walk. Is this true? Everyone's got really, really specific ways they walk. But look at Vince McMahon compared to me. When I was a drama student, my teacher once gave that as a bit of homework for us, um was to GATE! Gate. G-A-I-T.
You can carry on. Yeah. Uh it was when I I used to do my extracurricular drama class. He said, like a really good way to learn how to get into character is to not follow someone in town, but to sort of walk behind someone and mimic their walk, because that's a way to because everyone has got a different. Anyway, cats. Really hot on your gate. On your gaunt. On the on the gaunt gate.
And that's how they they can tell you more apart by the way you walk than what you look like. Is that why they're called gauntlet matches? Because everyone walks down to the ring. You got it exactly right. Uh so by Seth Rollins' gate, I could tell it was Seth Rollins.
Hits a super kick, hits a stomp, really, really well composed. I thought Seth played this perfectly, pulls off the mask. It's Seth Rollins, big pop. And that he hit those on Logan Paul, and it was Cody who covered Logan's Make the Pin. And Cody and Seth just had a few. This lingering. And I I re that was probably my favorite thing on the show. Because remember how good that Seth
Cody feud was going into Crown Jewel. Yeah, easy to forget because uh it's kind of you know been forgotten about because of the the end the injury, but yeah, it was actually a really good story being told. Like their relationship is really, really layered now. Seth helping Cody at the moment. Um then that, you know, Seth turns heel and he he butts heads with Cody in the crown jewel match, gets injured, now he's here helping Cody. So I love love all that.
Um Logan's eliminated. Do you think we'll get Seth versus Logan then at Mania? Well that's the only option we've got now, like which we've already done previously, at Mania no less. The only other option is to do Seth versus Austin Theory. And I'll be honest, Seth versus Logan Paul is a much bigger match to do than Seth versus Austin Theorie. Although I'd imagine the Ethereum match might actually be better, and it's new at least. But there's n like with this group without Reed, without break.
Seth Rollins versus Curtis Axel is not a WrestleMania match. The people that actually betrayed Seth Rollins. And now no longer in this group, apart from Paul Haynes. Yeah. I've Seth versus Paul. That is actually Heyman that is, not Logan. Is actually the match that'd be the much better match to do at Mania. Becky and Seth versus Heyman and Jessica Carr. Let's build to what the people want to see. That'd be great.
Um so Lo uh Logan's eliminated, Seth leaves and I Another we get another run in. Yeah, but I don't mind this. Drew could interfere in a s I I'm not getting tired of it. I don't know why'cause it's every match. Who runs in? Tries to clobber Cody with the belt, but Randy Archos.
Drew, he goes into a crossroads, Cody stands up, Randy being the Viper, RKO on Cody, Randy gets the win. Yeah, really liked it as a finish. Two in two interference spots within the chamber is a little bit overkill. That that again screams you have no confidence in yourself as a booker to come up with finishes so you just do what I would argue is actually fairly ruserific of doing a a a finish for a match.
So I didn't love it from that aspect, but the chaos of it was at least something, and I was kind of like desperate for something on this show. Uh and Randy getting the win. You know, I didn't I had Cody down to win. And I feel like that is done by design, cause uh Triple H was a coward and he didn't do the post-show press conference because he didn't like having media asking him questions, so he stopped doing the press conference.
and then did it as a post show interview s uh series. Now he doesn't like being booed by the crowd for his bad creative, so he has removed himself from that and is doing backstage interview where no one can criticize But he said there, this is gonna be interesting. I don't think anyone called Randy Orton coming out of that chamber. I think everyone thought it was gonna be Cody Rhodes, so this is a hell of a swerve. F*** you. I think that's why Randy won.
So Triple H could go onto the post show and be smug and be like, Well what a swerve because everyone thought w everyone thinks the show is so predictable, but you marks don't know anything. But it's not like a swerve where I'm like, Oh my it's not like Trick Williams one. Which is what I said, Jurassic. Oh, Randy won a match. Randy's getting a title match. Randy's getting a big mania spot. Actually that is quite weird. Usually gets usually gets sandbag millennials.
So, after the show, Aldis booked Cody versus Drew for the title on SmackDown. Yeah. Big match. I can see Cody winning. I could see Cody winning as well. And if he doesn't, I think Jacob Fatto interferes. The reports are The reports are it was gonna be Cody versus Drew. Then it was gonna be Cody versus Drew versus Fat Two, apparently. Now Randy's one.
There's reports that there will be a big multi-man match, maybe even a four-five-way match. And Drew spoke on a podcast when he was asked about this last week, and he answered, Well, what's the point of elimination change? Th this happened last year. Bianca Belair won the elimination chamber but was in a triple threat match for the Women's World Heavyweight Championship. So they have precedent for this. I don't think that they actually care about
The as a match type. The chamber. The chamber. No. I don't think they care about this show or this match stipulation and are just doing whatever they want. Which is fine, it's your prerogative. But then I wouldn't bother doing it. Yeah. Or or be surprised when the crowd aren't excited and you've got low ticket sales. It's the last stop to WrestleMania, I keep being told.
And it's fine. Like, you know, a big five way match or a six way match if you wanna put Alistair Black in there'cause he beat Randy Orton on SmackDown a couple of weeks back. Yeah, fine. If we want to. Fine. And that's it. What was the point of this show? There was nothing bad on this show, I would say. There was nothing really good either. It was just there. What was the point? I don't know.
What's our Patreon feedback? Well Magnus here said I'm so excited that Dan Hausen was the one in the box. His debut entrance was absolutely adorable and very fitting. I'm just so happy for Colt here says that I didn't know Entrance Purgatory Hell existed until the chamber entrance happened tonight. When Lick said that WW was an entrance company, it's never more true than tonight.
Henry Wrestler entered an entrance so long I could have sworn the Undertaker was walking to the ring, but nope, it's just Logan Paul and every other wrestler in the chamber looking for any possible way to not enter their pod and waste as much time as possible. I'm curious to know if the men's chamber entrances altogether were longer than the man's. No, they weren't. But they were long. Jamie, uh it was your typical WWE P L E. So much potential, but ended up being predictable and non-eventful.
Canal or Canal. Uh I guess Rhea vs. Jade makes sense, but it's just very boring, in my opinion. Yeah. I mean you've got the two Two sort of most powerful women, I guess you could say in WWE. But it's not like Oh I can't it's not like a match that's been teased over the course of years of when will they collide? Yeah, that's a really good that's a good way to put it. Yeah. I haven't since Jade came in, I haven't thought, Oh man, I can't wait to see for for them to
Because she's still in the same feud. She's still waiting for Bianca Belair to come back. That's very true. Rich, even though it was mostly predictable, it was a serviceable show. Though both Chamber I thought both Chamber matches had some good spots. Which ones? Yeah, it had some good spots. That's what you want from a chamber match, isn't it? Some good spots. Courtney. I'm from Chicago, but not a single wrestling palette. How dare she?
But that a single wrestling pal of mine went to the show as we were all priced out. Crowdfelt offer at being in Chicago. Love Danhausen, but have no hope for this run, and Rhea and Randy winning do nothing to make me excited WrestleMania, sadly. Love Rhea, but not feeling a bit burnout with her.
Yeah. Michael, I thought the show did what it needed to do to get the build for WrestleMania back on track. Both chambers were good and interesting to see if Bron will be back in time for Mania to pay off the Seth reveal. Good show overall. And Phi Alpha read, I was sat front row, red hair, jacket with white sleeves, I had a support wrestle talk sign, and they took it away from
You can see it at around 252.36 left on the show. And I went and checked and it is there. So when Alexa Bliss is in her pod, you can see in the crowd someone has got a sign. You can see our Quinelis font. And you can see it says support wrestling. But according to this uh this chap here it was confident.
I have it for Well I mean I'm not gonna say it, but someone fears someone, don't they? I have it for Alexa and by the time Asker gets in they took it away. It did feature a flip down part that says Triple H fears Ollie Davis that I was going to show during the main event, but they never saw that part. Well thank you for the effort. Um keep at it, kids, you know. Uh the he ha they have sent across the sign that it's not. So we'll we'll try and figure out.
