from that could be on YouTube it could be on Apple Podcasts it could be on Spotify I'm rushing through this because people are getting tired of the bit now or as Yogi C says I've been a subscriber for over 10 years now and by chance and this is just a heads up I was in Cyprus visiting family, and we went up the mountains to visit the monasteries. While there I was talking to a monk, and he pointed me to a tree. I went to the tree, and just by the route...

was a QR code. This QR code took me to Ollie's video singing AJ Lee's theme, and this video automatically played next. Greatest channel on YouTube. Tricky thing with that one, that was actually more of a negotiation piece with the monks. They were like, well, we don't want to just send it to a playlist, but we really like this video of Ollie singing AJ Lee's theme. So we've had to put a lot of faith into the algorithm. that by you watching the singing video

It will lead you onto the podcast. A lot of faith has been put into this one, with monks as well. Yes, and also, Yogi, you probably got the sense of it when you were there. We are endorsing the Turkish side of Cyprus. It's a big political move by us. It's a really old one. It's a really old one. Yeah, it's like, you know, like an island or something.

Continuing with the controversy, we've got AW Dynamite and Full Gear Predictions to do, but we will be starting off with... Vince McMahon. And we've been talking a lot... in 2025, from March onwards, I would say, maybe April onwards, that you and I have been saying on this podcast, I think Vince will be there for Cena's final match. And we said the Triple H...

talking about Vince openly during his hour-long Hall of Fame speech. It's not about him. But objectively, what a speech. What a speech, yeah. So yeah, timeline-wise, April Triple H headlines the Hall of Fame. Brings up Vince's name. What a surprise, by the way. Vince has been... No, guys, I shouldn't have. I mean, you shouldn't have. I'll go in twice. Yeah, I guess it does make sense when you think about it.

Previously, Vince's name had been scrubbed, not referenced on commentary, archive footage since January 2024 when he resigned. And I'd said to Dan Leighton when we were doing the WrestleMania live reactions to it, I think Triple H... name dropping vince mcmahon was canary in the coal mine testing the waters to see what the reaction would be

And it wasn't like there was boos from the crowd. It wasn't like there was a lot of backlash to it online the following day. And then as you pointed out when they did the Hulk Hogan tribute video, Vince McMahon was featured within that video as well. And we said on the podcast... again i think this is them testing the waters about what a reaction would be

if you showed Vince McMahon in the crowd for Cena's final match. Yeah, that's a really interesting one just to go over again because it's such a conscious decision, in my opinion. In July, this is late July when Hulk Hogan passed away. They did a video package. Very good, as WWE video packages often are.

recapping Hulk Hogan's legacy in Korea. Not all of the legacy. Not the bad bits. By the way, one of my best friends is Turkish Cypriot. I've known him all my life. It was an informed bit of joshing. I haven't been thinking about that for the last couple of minutes. On SmackDown, it's a Triple H voiceover-led montage of Hulk Hogan images and clips. And on Raw, weirdly, they played exactly the same thing, with the same Triple H voiceover from the sort of 10-bell salute thing they do.

But this time, it had a picture of Vince in. So they had a package, which they'd already played, and they inserted Vince to it. Which I think is done, again, as we said, to test the waters. Just see what the reaction would be. And then what happens a week after that? Brock Lesnar returns at SummerSlam 2025. Yeah. Brock Lesnar, of course, is named within. He's not part of the Vince McMahon lawsuit.

that Janelle Grant has filed against Vince McMahon and John Laurinaitis. Actually, now John Laurinaitis is not on it either because he's sided with Janelle Grant. Turned baby face! But it's now against Vince and WWE. So Brock Lesnar's named in there like 30, 40 odd times or something like that. But that was a case of, I think you can bring him back as a way to test the waters on this. I will say it again. I've said it multiple times.

I would have waited until it was blown over before bringing him back, but I think that this was done consciously to test what the reaction would be. if you brought back other people who are named within that lawsuit. I mean, granted, Stephanie McMahon's named in Lawson. She's shown on TV a lot as well. Not like in the same level that Brock is named within there. Yeah, in a very different way. Stephanie McMahon and Nick Khan are named in passing. like describing events, they were there, but...

Brock Lesnar's one is specifically about Vince's... It's specifically related to the sexual trafficking allegations. Exactly, yeah. And they are more tied towards what Vince McMahon did, or allegedly did, I should say. So yeah, I think all of this has been done to just see what the reaction might be. I mean, the Brock thing might just be ESPN related. I think that's a big part of it.

I think they wouldn't just bring back Brock to test if they could one day bring back Vince. I think they're like, oh, we're paying in. ESPN deal's coming up. He is a huge star and draw. Yeah. Which is debatable. We still don't really know how much of a draw he still is to this day or what he brings. We did a whole podcast about this. But then, you know, we are now nearing December 13th, Saturday night's main event.

There's reports of who is going to be there. There's been a long report that Donald Trump, President Donald Trump, will be at the show because it's in Washington. And Vince McMahon has always been one of those. There is a chance he could be at the show and shown within the crowd.

Yeah, so this comes from Brian Alvarez on a weird episode of Wrestling Observer Radio. Because Dave wasn't there. Because Dave has taken his every five-year holiday. He's taken one holiday. He's missed an episode. So it's just Brian Alvarez.

talking for an hour um but he's got a lovely voice and more beautiful eyes solo podcasting is a difficult thing to do i give sean ross app so much credit because he does it every week for the raw podcast but it's not an easy thing brown alfred is one of those guys think he can pull it off and so the solo monster as well solo monster but the he said there is talk backstage so none of this is confirmed or you know even reported really it's like there is

Heavy speculation amongst people backstage in WWE that Trump will appear at the show and Vince McMahon will appear at the show. I don't think... Anyone in their right mind thinks they will get in the ring and do a promo or an angle or set up a mania match. We're talking about they are in the crowd and just like... Andrew Schultz or some New York's Giants players.

they will be shown in between the segments. Yeah, they'll go between things and people in the crowd and he'll be next to Macaulay Culkin and they'll just pass by the people that are there. But I hadn't actually thought because there is a clash. So the 13th of December is also your 40th birthday party.

And you said you were going to try and invite both of these guys. Well, you know, the invites have been sent out to various representatives just to try and like inflate the numbers because I don't have a lot of friends and I want to try and make sure that it does feel quite... packed uh in in the venue that i've got well do you remember a month or two ago it was vince's 80th birthday it was who knows

Some form of birthday. And, you know, there were a lot of WWE people there. Drew McIntyre, Sheamus. Yeah, there's a lot. John Cena has reportedly gone out for dinner a few times with Vince McMahon. Like, there are people who are still friendly with Vince. And we had that party as well.

because they weren't allowed to have phones there, but tell that to Jerry Lawler. Sergeant Slaughter was like, oh yeah, all phones were taken off people. I was like, not Jerry. Jerry was taking photos out of the wazoo and posting them on social media. So yeah, there are people who are still friendly with Vince and remain friendly with him to this day. So I don't think there would be like this huge backstage revolt.

if vince mcmahon was not brought back but if he was shown on screen there wouldn't be like this locker room uprising against people in the same way there wasn't a locker room uprising when brock lesnar was brought back there were reports that some of the female members of the locker room were upset that brock was brought back but not

to the point where i'm i'm quitting this this promotion i'm going to stand up for any morals that i have and i'm going to go find work elsewhere i don't think there's any world where vince comes back as a backstage creative or an on, you know, maybe one segment here and there of just a surprise return thing. But I do think, and this is...

I don't want this to happen. I'm just trying to put myself in TKO's cynical business shoes. They're so fancy, though. These shoes are great. Cost a lot of money. So much money. We hunted a few rhinos. To get them. And then got rhinos to make them. And there's a horniness joke in here somewhere. But they... It is in...

It will be a lot easier for TKO to function as a company to be able to use Vince McMahon as an ambassador and also... to use footage the footage is a big thing right like he's a huge part of wwe story and you want to be able to try and use that footage as much as possible when you are telling that story so it is in tko's best interest and they've got to know this Otherwise, you know, they wouldn't be doing some of the things they're doing. To normalise Vince's presence in at least...

historical footage that they play in the WrestleMania packages or the birth of WWE. Welcome to WrestleMania! That's what they want. You want all of that stuff in there. I agree with you as well.

and this has been said by multiple people, so I'm not breaking any new ground here, but if Vince McMahon... came back he's not getting a role within the creative team the reports are as well he doesn't he does watch the show and he doesn't like it he does not like triple h's version of wrestling like he doesn't like the way that the show is because it's coherent and slow

you know you go back to those old vince so many backstage skits there was so much more chaos and stuff more celebrities doing angles in the ring i know we get some of that now but they'd be wackier stuff then you'd have the the cast of the a-team doing an entire like skit throughout

a whole episode of raw to promote the 18 movie and god damn it weirdly miss those days that is better brand integration than just having door dash on the barriers in vince mcmahon's world but i don't think he'll ever come back in any official capacity to work within the creative team or retake over creative as a whole. I think he will just be used at ringside and be like WWE founder Vince McMahon.

And the crowd can cheer and the crowd will applaud him and they'll chant, thank you, Vince. TKO already made this decision. So TKO, the merger was announced in April 2023. Yes. So this is following WrestleMania 39. Yes. Yeah. Which I realized this week was the day after Shane McMahon, Tory's quads. I'm not saying there's a coincidence, but they got rid of him.

They got rid of him and then they merged. So that was when it was announced. And then we had that summer where, yeah, WWE, it was good. You know, we're sort of in the Bloodline Momentum era because that was the Jey Uso Roman. SummerSlam main event era time. But Vince, there were reports that Vince would come in, change things. It was upsetting the cart that Triple H had established, a very steady cart. There was a series of Fightful Select posts where they were posting the Raw rundowns.

like just before the show would start but like here's what's going to happen everyone's cognizant of spoilers you don't have to read this but here is what's going to happen on Raw tonight segment one is this segment two is this segment three and after a while Sean said I'm not going to post these anymore because

vince is just tearing up the shows again and redoing it uh there's too many changes being made so i'm not going to post these for a while and he did stop posting he now posts them again because they are now back to once the script is in place it just stays in place And in September, that's when the TKO merger was officially finalized, listed on the stock exchange. And I've been getting, you know, I keep talking about my inshittification of WWE video. It's a beast.

You're looking at January now for the release. But I've been watching loads of old interviews to sort of understand the situation. And yeah, in that first announcement where it's Harry Emanuel and Vince McMahon. Mustachioed Vince McMahon. Yeah, on MS. mbc.5 forward slash y, Ari says we will not get involved in the creative. I'm not going to be in the weeds. Yeah, that's Vince's baby. He understands that side.

We'll help on the business end best we can. And Vince is trying to laugh it off, by the way, in this particular interview. I'll win in a fight, by the way. You've got any old Vince voiceovers? But as soon as the mergers finalised, yoink, TKO, say... Oh, actually, no, you have nothing to do with creative. We are fully endorsing Triple H. Triple H is in control. So Vince was sort of, they know he's a bad booker.

They know, they can see that Triple H has led this sort of consistent creative resurgence. I don't think it's that. I just think that they saw the business was up. I think businesses on the up, and they were like, well, okay, let's just keep it in the hands of this guy. Because previously, when it was hands on the other guy, it was going the other way. But now it's going up this way, so probably should rely on this guy more than the other guy. I think there's also...

Triple H is going to take notes. Vince is not going to listen to Ari and Mark Shapiro and whoever. I see. I thought you were going to say that the Triple H was working. Ari Emanuel and I think that was part of that actually when you think about it yeah see these dips this is when I wasn't on TV you don't do like the Kevin Nash paparazzi productions

It's like, actually, when you look at this graph here, this is when it's at the top. That's when I'm booking. That's with me. But in September, October, they removed Vince and he was sort of more...

I think, really, a ceremonial position. He was there as this name to float around backstage, meet with the Saudis, grease the wheels for the UFC deal, doing that sort of stuff. Not actually doing the day-to-day creative operation or even the... large creative operation of wwe and then in january so four months after that

that's when he's forced to resign by the Janelle Grant lawsuit. And the irony of all of that is in the Vince McMahon situation prior to the Janelle Grant lawsuit is that the reason he forced his way back into WWE... was to sell it so he could get control of it again. Yes. A wonderful monkey's poor comeuppance. It was a little bit, yeah. So if anyone's nervous of old Vince...

Does this mean Vince is going to rejoin creative or even be an on-screen authority figure or character? I really think that's out of the question. Yeah, I think so, yeah. I think you can play his theme song and he can come out and say, welcome to Monday Night Raw. that would probably be the extent of it. But again, it sounds like we're endorsing this. We're just doing a...

This is what we think TKO want. And the first full step of making that happen is showing Vince in the crowd for John Cena's retirement show. And if he's not shown to the crowd, I'm not going to be like, oh, man, I was completely wrong on that. I just I. I get a gut feeling that he will be there and shown, and I have had for a while. I think if he's not there, I think he could show up at Mania in Vegas, in the crowd, or just backstage, welcome to WrestleMania. I think if it's not there...

Maybe it said Saudi Arabia at the Rumble. It could be. The crowd might not boom. Because this is the other thing. We... We are the online audience. The online audience behaves incredibly differently from an in-person crowd thing. And even like if we were in person as just a pure knee jerk reaction, if we heard no chance hit, we would.

It's just an instinctual thing. And then we'd go, oh, no. We said about the Brock Lesnar thing. If you're there in the building, you'd be actually like, oh, wow, they brought Brock back. And then the reality is, you'd be like, oh, they brought Brock back. Yeah, and the show's already off air by the point you're going, no, wait. should be booing but uh it's like when john cena returned at the 2006 royal rumble was it you know the yeah that one 2008 and and yeah whenever it was

Everyone pops enormously because it's a huge surprise. He should have been gone forever. And then they remember they hate the guy. And a minute in, they start booing. Your reptilian brain takes over. And when Vince was doing his... on-air segments when he was being publicly accused of stuff at first.

People were cheering him. Charlie, thank you, Vince. He basically took over the opening of SmackDown to come out. Stephanie McMahon's in the ring to be like, my father, Vince McMahon. And he'd come down the ring and be like, I'm not going anywhere. I'm going to fight against this. And the crowd was super behind him for it. I think if you show Vince the crowd, people will cheer him. They will cheer and then they'll cut away before the booze kick in. Yeah, potentially.

that's a way to do it I think even then I still think there would be I think 80% of that audience is going to cheer and chant thank you Vince which will drown out any 20% that might have a vocal reaction to it there will be a huge online backlash to it the following day but That is not the focus. The focus will always be...

the people that are in the building that cheer him. And, well, to be honest, I think if he's there, the focus will be on President Trump. If Trump does appear at John Cena's final show, because it is in Washington, D.C., this is the long speculated... name to be attending there if he's shown in the crowd no one's talking about Vince like not not wrestling fans would be mainstream media very few people are talking about Vince they're talking about Trump

100%, mainstream media will only focus on Trump being there. And even the Reddit squared circles, the Twitter discourse, you're going to split the anger. They're going to be angry about Vince and Trump. And there'll be arguments on either side of the people who are like...

Nothing's been proven in court yet, so Vince has done nothing wrong, and Vince has been accused of things he shouldn't be there, and you'll have people who are pro-Trump and anti-Trump just arguing with each other on Twitter. It's a horrible place to go to. Yeah, because when Lesnar came back...

I was like, I think this is genuinely going to push people into the arms of the competition because AEW has a chance to really position itself now as we don't work with those sorts of people plus our tickets are affordable. I don't think that's happened. It's not played out that way. If anything, WWE's product took a slight dip, but it feels like it's going up again and sell out some things. I think that's more a reflection of the creative and the lack of star power on the show.

show and maybe it is one of those cases of you don't feel it until a year later like with the punk in aew using this as an example the incident uh brawl out and more likely brawl in when punk then that's the last thing he does and then he goes the ramifications of that are felt a year later which is when that's when it's like actually attendance is down this out and the other and it was just this slow decline it wasn't like what the next day

it dipped off it was just over that year there's a slow decline and then at that year point you realize oh wow This does feel smaller than it did this time last year. And maybe that would be the case of WWE. You look at SummerSlam next year and you'll be like, huh, this doesn't feel as hot of a ticket as it was at SummerSlam last year. And maybe that is a case of some of this more likely it will be.

ticket prices are pricing people out of going yeah just before we wrap this up um the title of the podcast is of course the mcmahon's and we've been talking a lot about vince it's kind of like aces and eights or the bloodline there was that there used to be this faction they were called the mcmahons vince linda stephanie shane and now they're all in different parts of their various relevance and power remember when the four of the

were stood in the ring together to say we're sorry the product is bad it's baron corbin's fault you idiot baron corbin yeah and now where are they now well we think vince might be at least be a ceremonial

figure for TKO. He also... owns three and a half percent of the company yeah he's not like completely gone from the company yeah he he did own way more he's halved i think he's halved his shares since he stepped down he's sold a lot of them sold a lot because he was trying to start his new media

conglomeration 49th street or something yeah whatever it's going to be they said it's going to not be wrestling related he's probably going to try and do movies because he's got a rich history of making movies previously if he want to sink his sink his money into making crap movies It's his money. He can do what he wants, I guess. But that's where he is. Linda also owns about, I think, just under 1% of the TKO now. She's in the White House. Vince, by the way, largest...

private individual shareholder of TKO. I know you could say Ari is, but Ari holds those shares as Endeavor. And then you've got Stephanie. who also owns just under 1%, I think the same amount as Linda. And of course, she's going into the Hall of Fame next year. She's married to the head of creative. She has a podcast. That is plugged every single week on Monday Night Raw. She is the one that TKO won as the figurehead.

of the mcmahon family presence in to continue that lineage of oh but there's still a family connection here yeah she was the um what was her name in uh in succession Shiv. Shiv, yeah. She's the Shiv role of like, oh no, we've been accused of all of these things against women.

Better put Stephanie out there front facing because when Vince first stepped down, she was the one who was stepped into that position. She had quit the company before then and then quit the company again after it. And you got a feel for poor old Kendall.

Because Shane McMahon, he was going to be the guy. Oh, man. You look back on all of those... old WrestleManias and stuff and you can see that he is being positioned as I will hand this over to my son there's the opening of Wrestlemania 20 I think it is which is Vince Shane and Shane's firstborn and it's like it all begins again And it really was a case of like...

We're going to be here forever. I suppose that's the firstborn who's in the photo, because Shane was at Raw at Madison Square Garden this week, but he was not shown on camera. He sure wasn't. Stephanie was. Oh, yeah, she's got a podcast. Yeah, she's, well, she's... And she's part of the team. She's going in the Hall of Fame, yeah. But Shane, I do think he is on the outs with the TKO regime. I think he's been well on the outs with them. Didn't have an awkward taker show up to be like, hey, Shane.

I think we should put you in the Hall of Fame as well. I'm glad Awkward Take has taken off. Just like, how can I script this bit to remind everyone how awkward that Undertaker sit-down was? I'll just call him Awkward Taker. Love Awkward Taker. It's the best bit. It might be. We're going to do our best wins. of 2025 TLC video, that might be on my best wins. You know what else is on there? Bret Hart rolling these eyes!

This guy. Four out of ten over here. And Triple H is going to get his love too because Goldberg's retirement. But yeah, Shane was there. He posted a photo afterwards like great to see John Cena. So he was there. He just wasn't shown on camera. So you'd think that that is, again, a conscious effort. If you've got Shane McMahon at a WWE show.

Patreon Shout Outs

You would show him on camera. Yeah. But he was there with his son, that WrestleMania 20 baby, who is a freaking spitting image of young Vince. It's mad, isn't it? Yeah. But yes, so that's where all the McMahons are. Maybe Shane will appear. on the john cena retirement show they're friends i just don't think he's in the good graces like he's he's clearly not in the tko family he's not shown on screen he's not part of that collective of

people to be shown at ringside for these events. He is a guy that, like, actually, I mean, Meltzer has always said about Vince being at the John Cena's final match. Davis has always joked, well, of course he can be there. He can buy a ticket. Yeah. It's like, anyone can go. You've got to buy a ticket for the show. That's how Cena got his Undertaker match. Exactly. Bought a ticket to WrestleMania. So Shane could always be at the show.

He can buy a ticket or, you know, ring up and ask for a comp from one of his friends that's backstage. I don't do comps anymore in the TKO era. You're going to have to pay for those, buddy. But I don't think he is shown in the audience because he is not seen as part of the DNA of WWE. I don't think that they see him as... Of their version of WWE. I think the last image will...

ever have of Shane officially on TV is him busting his leg trying to do a move against The Miz at WrestleMania 39. We can hope. We have a brand new episode of Tables, Lists and Chairs going live tomorrow on the WrestleTalk YouTube channel, which will have another episode on patreon.com forward slash WrestleTalk for you to enjoy. The topics are the 10 best. and 10 worst John Cena matches ever. It'll be myself. It'll be Luke Owen. And as a special guest, first time ever in the Thunderdome of tables, lists and chairs.

Mr. Santee Zap. yeah a few people on the raw podcast figured out who the guest was going to be so 10 points to you for those who did figure it out but we made the decision that we wanted to do the 10 best john cena matches as the uh the public video and the 10 worst for the Patreon video. And we wanted to have someone on there.

who is a Cena fan because we are not Cena guys. And I didn't want to have it come across as disingenuous. And I don't think actually when I've now watched it back, it doesn't. We are actually very praising of those matches. You perhaps less. Most of my picks are John Cena getting beaten up or yay, someone finally beat John Cena.

But we wanted to have a John Cena guy on. So Santi Zappa stepped in to take on that role. And he's wonderful on this show. It's a really fun two episodes that we have done. The 10 best ones will be on YouTube. The 10 worst matches will be over at Patreon.com. forward slash WrestleTalk really really fun episodes yeah it was fascinating listening to Santi because he is a Cena fan and you know I see Cena fans as sort of delusional

I guess is the kind way to put it. But Santi was like, oh, no, I'm aware those are bad matches and the problems with Cena, but I just love him. And I'm like, oh. a rational scene that they do exist. They're out there. But yes, if you go to patreon.com forward slash WrestleTalk, you will get that on Saturday. And you could also get a shout out on this very podcast like these guys and gals.

Who's Bax? Bax again. Joshua Bax. The heir to the throne, Kate Ayers. Manipulating Manny Omaria. The needs of the Manny Connish outweigh the need of the few. Better than you and you know it, Max. Max Kurt Wallander Wallen.

Probably better than Kyle Philip O'Reilly. The man who wears the gold. The man recognized by Swap Nation International as the 24-7 champion. Our legend. Daylight Robbery, Rob James. Bebop and Rob Steedley. Ross Pooper Scooper Cooper. And lastly for this Hall of Fame class on Friday. 21st of November, 2025. Where is the year gone? The man with the scoops, Sean. a lot to get through.

with this diamond light. Three hours. Three hours because, I mean, do you want to get on your soapbox and say that this is a warning sign that it's going to go three hours full time? No, no, I just treat it as two hours and I also had to watch Collision on a Thursday morning. Yeah, and there's actually part of me that thinks we should...

do the collision portion because we don't usually review collision I know I love the Okada Mascara Dorada match though yeah it was it was very good I was like a few a bit botchy here and there because Dorada slipped but he's so good that he can overcome that oh what you mean the springboard bit and he just

Don Callis covered for that perfectly as well. I think Okada tried to trip him there. As you would if someone was... leaping around you on doing springboards on the top rope there's another one as well when he slipped doing the ddt on the apron and but he still managed to like overcome it and danielson come to be like that just shows you how much okada has been working over dorada usually he'd hit That flush. AW's commentary team are...

A top tier right now. This is a great commentary team. Are you just saying that because they keep saying presented by DC at every opportunity? Maybe it is because of the DC endorsements. I can't put my bias up front. Marvel sucks.

Oh, Thunderbolts was good, though. Yeah, get out. It was good. I actually watched it again at the weekend. Bobby Lashley took on Ricochet in our opening contest for the number one spot in the casino gauntlet. Ricochet tried to avoid the match starting as much as possible by doing a...

And another thing promo, but eventually Lashley beat him up and he hit the spear for the win. Yeah, so kind of a squash match. It was a very quick, clean victory for Bobby and he took out both members of GOA outside. I... Ricochet kept on going. And it's a necessary thing for that style of spot. Riles up the crowd and then Lashley chokeslammed him over the top rope outside, which was fun. But Ricochet said, I will be the national champion. And I forgot.

And that's what the casino gauntlet's for, isn't it? Yeah, absolutely. It's to crown the inaugural champion. I forgot. So yeah, it just made me annoyed that that's happening still. I think it's because they did nothing on last week's show to further this because it was so focused on blood and guts, which probably is the correct thing. But yeah, I thought this was a fine little opening segment. For a belt I don't care about.

Ricochet is interesting in that he can be squashed like this. He doesn't lose anything. No. It's just the way his character is. The Ops got a promo on Samoa Joe. Joe is not allowed to interfere in the main event of Dynamite, which would be Paige versus Shibata. Otherwise, his match at Full Gear might be cancelled. And then Renee caught up. We got some classic AEW.

throwing to the wrong thing. Excalibur said, oh, the Young Bucks are watching a clip from three years ago. And it showed the Young Bucks one to clip from five years ago, then watching one from three years ago. Because the idea was to set up that they were watching clips from full gear. to lead into them watching one from full gear 2023 or 2022 2023 where they teamed with kenny omega

Yeah, to win the trios. Well, the first of the best of seven against Death Triangle. Exactly. So it was like to kind of set to that, but they kind of... balls up a little bit but Renee caught up with them and then Don Callis walked up to the day like hey and you're going to join the family tonight so great going I'm going to give you a big ring intro now the Bucks aren't really saying anything in all of these segments which I think is really nice Don Callis just keeps talking over them

Expecting what their answer is going to be. Because they know they need the money. Yeah. They're like, we tried everything. We had the money. Now we're back down here. I guess we just got to be these sort of indebted. indebted servants. And it was the Young Bucks and Josh Alexander taking on Sky Flight, which I really enjoyed as a match. It was really built around Josh Alexander actually not working well with the Young Bucks.

but then being the difference maker in the end, because he was the one to cause the block to allow the Young Bugs to hit the Meltzer driver. But even then, you know, they offer up Josh Alexander, the legal man, and they offer him to take the pin. They offer him, he has to take the pin. But Josh Alexander's like, no, no, no. And he puts on the ankle lock to tap out, I think it was Darius Martin, and get the win.

Yeah, fun match. Bucks are in it. Skyflight are really fun and told a good story. Don gets in the ring afterwards saying it's time to officially join the family and he reminds them of all the matches and the money. This is the great thing about Don as a character. He does benefit your kayfabe career. There is a real strong argument that if the Bucks want success...

they should join the family. But if they want their friends, they should, and to be good babyfaces, they should stay away from them. Yeah, I really liked all of this. And again, he's just... talking to them not asking them to join the family it's just a let's make it official that you're joining the family well then he kind of outright threatens them he says well you know like aw can be a dangerous place i'd hate to see what would happen

to the Bucks, just like what happened to Omega and Ibushi. Not saying that it's his family that's causing the dangerous work environment. Yes, but at the same time... Yeah, yeah. So it's like, join us or we beat you up. Because the two names that he said there were the names that his guys took out. This brought out Kenny Omega, who took out Rocky Romero and Mark Davis. Then he brawls with Josh Alexander.

to sort of like hold him back a little bit that allows josh to take over jurassic express to run down for the save yeah i think the bucks are doing really well in this role Because, like you said, they're not saying anything. They're caught between friendship and... maybe success. And I'm really intrigued to see what happens because it's also at full gear. It's a million dollars on the line. We'll do our predictions once we've covered the episode. But a million dollars on the line in kayfabe.

The Bucks need that money. Yeah. And they have to work with the Don Callis family to beat... omega and jurassic express to win that money so it's real stakes if when i you know i sort of believe the bucks will turn on alexander and friendship wins And that just shows how much they've sacrificed. They have sacrificed a million dollars. Yeah. We'll get to it when we get to it, but this is my...

This is the match I'm most looking forward to at full gear as it currently stands. We had an interview with the Babes of Wrath by Renee, who said they'll be the champions in the Women's Tag Title Tournament. They paid tribute to Bob Cottle. Tony Schiavone gave a very nice tribute because they...

worked together previously. Yeah, I wasn't aware of his career, but yeah, Tony Schiavone did a good tribute. We had Shelton Benjamin taking on Mike Bailey for the number two spot in the casino gauntlet. But MVP hates Mike Bailey.

Well, I mean, Sheltered won. And they announced as well that the C2 kicks off next week, which is super exciting. I love C2 season. Yeah, it's a good... run of momentum isn't it we've just had blood and guts then it's full gear and then boom next week some of the best matches of the year will happen on tv well we say it every year when they do this but it actually just focuses dynamites and collision for like the next few months until you get to world

because there is a we're starting here and we're ending here yeah like there's going to be brackets i hope they do the big bracket like reveal that they did the first time and they're like here's going in the gold league who's going to the blue league as opposed to just announcing it out of nowhere maybe that'll happen on full gear

Yeah, hopefully so. Or you could just do it on the YouTube channel, which is what they did the first time around. I thought this was a really good match. MVP was great on commentary. The crowd was super into it, but sadly... The only thing that will really be talked about this match is it had the botched finish where it looked like that Shelton just rocked Bayley with the super kick and they didn't kick out after two.

But the crowd just thought it was the finish anyway. Yeah, Bailey kind of lifted his shoulder, but nowhere near enough. It wasn't even a Jarrett kick out, you know, where he just shoots his arm up. Paul Turner called it a kick out. And then...

Either they had more planned. MVP was walking up the steps to get on the apron. He got in the ring. Which implied interference to me. I think he thought it was the finish. But then Benjamin was just like, hit two moves and then one. But yeah, it looked like, yeah.

Bailey got injured. I've not heard any reports. I've not heard anything either. It's a shame as well because the crowd were so into that super kick in near four, but the second that they botched that two count... lost them yeah completely lost them then for the finish that's it's a real shame but i i think and i said this in my review yesterday i think this is one of those situations where you can make the argument the referee should just count pinfalls as shoots yeah

We had the Deathriders of Mox and Claudio taking on Roderick Strong and Orange Cassidy. Really good action throughout. I love Roderick Strong. When he was hitting those running elbows on Mox, he was bouncing like... running the ropes but hitting an elbow on marks every time brilliant what i really loved about this was the finish though because the story of john moxley is the downfall of john moxley

And he submitted last week in Blood and Guts. He lost Blood and Guts for his team. So he's coming out looking to prove himself. The illusion is he is not selling the mental effects of Blood and Guts.

externally because you can say it's selling it internally but he's not letting any of that shine because he does not want the illusion of the Death Riders and the illusion of Jon Moxley to be shattered so he's there putting on the brave bravado but the finish the only reason he wins because Orange Cassidy has the match won

for him and strong is because wheelie uti gets involved daniel garcia wins involved and crucially and they put this over so much in commentary claudio castignoli knocked out orange casting with the uppercuts and then john moxley put the bulldog choke on him so really Claudio won the match for his team, but Moxley could be like, look, I tapped him out. I'm back. That was just a blip. I'm absolutely fine. It's not a losing streak at all.

Yeah, and then Kyle runs down afterwards and gets the ankle lock on Mox, and he won't let go. Yuta's kicking him. Garcia's kicking him. The ref finally pulls Kyle off, and Mox is limping out afterwards. I think this... Again, ever since the Derby match, so, you know, the Derby match was good and that great, well, I really liked it, the Dark Knight Returns interview segment. But this whole thing with Kyle has been...

Terrific. I love it. This is a weird comparison to make. Feels a bit Becky Lynch, Maxine Dupree. Because Becky Lynch, super protected. Mark's super protected. And they're using... You know, Kyle and Maxine, I'm never going to compare Kyle O'Reilly and Maxine Dupree again. But taking someone in kayfabe that you wouldn't believe could beat someone of that star power, but that, you know...

He has Mox's number, just like Maxine had Becky's number. Yeah, I really liked the War Games match they did last week. But up until Moxley got in, it was just guys doing stuff. The second Moxley got into that match, the whole dynamic of it shifted. And the whole match was built around him and the story of him and the captainship there and the decisions he was making.

I'm actually super into Mox right now, and I'm really excited for him versus Kyle O'Reilly. I think it's because he's got that fragility that was missing from him when Death Riders were super. villains and i'm i'm only bringing this up now because it does tie into the next match is that mox was selling the effects of blood and guts

through the story of the finish of that match. They might not have been selling it physically throughout that, but Mox being the guy that submitted at the end, he is selling the turmoil of what that has done. though internally, maybe not externally. The same cannot be said for the Timeless Love Bombs, who were part of the finish of the women's blood and guts match last week, which was, you know, she was...

Ministry of Carol was trapped. She was being choked. And Megan Bain is completely destroying her with the title belt. So much so that Tony Storm being held back has to surrender the team. They come out here, they're just totally fine. And I thought it was a real shame that they weren't selling any of the effects of Blood and Guts last week. Excalibur even pointed it out.

which is what made me notice it more. So I don't know if that's good commentary or bad commentary. I think that's bad commentary. And then it made me think more about the men's tag with the Deathriders. I was like, well, I don't think they sold it enough either. I totally agree with the Mox internal selling, but where's...

Can someone just have a taped up midsection? Hangman Page was taped up to the gills from his last man standing match. I think the only sort of headcanon thing that made me sort of... focus so much on mox and marina is uh amina rather is they were involved in the finishes everyone else is just doing hardcore spots yeah you know they're just doing like you know any hardcore match is a bloody match but they were involved in the actual finishes of the match

And Mina Shirakawa being involved so much and then to just do a normal entrance here and then not set it throughout the match. Full on dancing. Yeah. It's like none of it affected her whatsoever. And I do think that's a real misstep. You just look at the Hell in a Cell match with Drew and Punk last year. They felt those effects in kayfabe for a month afterwards. If you want blood and guts to feel special, you've got to do the same. Yeah, and I think you're...

I completely agree with you in that Roderick Strong and Claudio and Orange Cassidy should have also been selling it, but the people involved in the finishes really should be the ones who are selling this. Just to go back to Kyle, he called out mocks. for a no-holds-barred match at Full Gear. I thought they would do a submission match, based on the angles. I know, no-holds-barred, it's also like I can do any submission on you, and there's no rope breaks as well, I guess.

Yeah, okay, maybe that's it. I think it's a smart step. You're probably right. I just hear no DQ match. If you say no whole spot, I'm just like, ah, it's just a no DQ match. It literally means we can do any submission and you can't get out of it. I think there's no rope breaks. Well, we'll see. They'll explain the rules. But for me, that's my most anticipated match. Yeah. I think we're... Kyle had a rough go with...

Cool Kyle. He's never been less cool. And now he's getting like... This is Kyle. This is... kyle realizing his full mma potential um before we get into the timeless love bomb match we had kenny and jurassic express cutting a promo on the don callis family and brodido cutting a promo on ftr then it was the timeless love bombs taking on alex windsor and re

in the Women's Tag Tournament. And yeah, Timeless Love Bombs won. Yeah, fun match. I thought Mina and... Well, everyone worked together really well. Mina and Tony... worked really well as a tag team. I thought the stuff with Mina and Riho was the best work. And then there was a fun spot where Mina had Riho in the figure four and I think Windsor reversed it by pushing Mina over. reversed the figure four then Tony Storm got in and pushed me back over then Windsor got in

and pushed them back over so that Riho had the advantage again. Then Tony Storm got in to do it, and Windsor was like, don't you dare. And then they headbutt each other and collapsed to break up the submission. Fun spot. Reverse the polarity. But yeah, double running hip attack. and a Storm Zero on Windsor. Pretty clean victory. And it was face versus face. They shook hands afterwards. It did feel like this wasn't...

serious enough. Like, I get that Mina and Tony can be a bit more silly, but with the blood and guts stuff in the rear view, maybe they should have taken a different tact. But I felt like Windsor and Riho... They didn't sell the loss enough. Yeah, I agree.

That was a fun match. Rene sends a voice note at this point to let them know that the four advancing teams in the semifinals will have a four corners match at full gear with a winner against a pick and stipulation. Very good description. I liked it. So just visually, this was Renee doing breaking news. So you just got her voice.

because the camera wasn't set up. I thought that was fun. Yeah, they did it last week in the Blood and Guts match to announce that Mark Briscoe, because you haven't caught up on it yet, haven't you, Blood and Guts? Alicia interviewed Kyle and Mark backstage. No physicality between these two. Good promos between them. Marks selling that failure is not an option. I'm not going to let my family down. Family being a big key to this because it's the Don Callis family. And they then attack...

Mark Briscoe, because while Carl Fletcher can't touch him, it doesn't mean that Okada and Hechicero can't. And Okada said, I did that because I knew that Takeshita wouldn't. Yeah. And then he walks off and he steps back in. And what does he say? Is he going to call him Proto? Because he's like, I can't remember what he said. I swear he said, from what I, he definitely said something Okada. I think it was Proto because he's the Proto star. Proto Okada? Yeah. Oh, right.

That makes more sense. Whatever it was, it was funny. Pat got a promo from home talking about how he sent Derby to the Burns Wars and maybe I did take things a bit too far in blood and guts so what I want to do is challenge you to a legit competition because once you're stripped of all your bells and whistles you cannot compete with a legit A pit athlete like me. Good promo. Yeah, really good. Another good bit of character-based stepping.

Hangman Page took on Katsuyori Shibata with Samoa Joe out for commentary. This is your main event of the Dynamite segment. Page attacked Shibata during the match. I thought Joe was great on commentary here. He called Tony Schiavone a slippery little piggy.

Don't you move, you slippy little piggy. When he attacked Shabatta, he was like, oh, is this your champion? Is this the guy you're calling your world champion, is it? This is disrespectful right here. Hangman got the win with the buckshot and afterwards gave Shabatta a low blow. Because Shabana had done that to him earlier. And when you come into Collision, Paige was cutting a promo, makes a joke about Poncho Joe from WrestleMania.

And he says, Joe, you're now all alone. There's no ops that will help you. I've sent Hobbs to the hospital last week. I've sent Shibata to the dick surgeon this week. And also, I just want to remind you of what I did the last time I was with another man. inside a steel cage and if i have to do that again i will yeah really good promo uh simple effective

This is the go-home show for Full Gear. Not the killer go-home angle, but it's a natural follow-on from I'm going to take you out, Joe. I'm taking out your... other faction mates, but it isn't a steel cage, so it shouldn't really matter. The biggest criticism I have is that he should have said that he sent Shibata to a local medic facility.

medical facility that is good it's very good i agree with you as well about sort of this being the go home episode i think what this episode was missing was a big angle yeah it was very functional as a go-home show it's like every segment was just done to further and create some hype but because they did no big angles for anything there was kind of no hype created yeah i think that's the problem with a three hour

I know because Collision happens immediately after dips down, comes back up. Hey, welcome to Collision. Yeah. Hard to book those shows. Stoke and FTR cut a promo on Brodido. And then Megan Bain and Marina Shafir took on TJ in the women's tag tournament. Marina choked out Jay to get the win. My note here is not great. Not terrible either. Yeah. It's just a...

The crowd were a bit tired, I felt. They weren't here for this match. No, they picked up for the next two matches. Timebomb's got a promo on the screen saying they're going to wear the skulls of Bane and Shafir like a pearl necklace. Now, last week... I said that Toni Storm came into the Blood and Guts match and used the pearl necklace as a weapon. She was literally, she had a pearl necklace in her hand and she was punching people. I was like, it's Toni Storm. It's a c*** joke.

And she was clutching her pearls. Well, that's when people corrected me and said, no, no, it's not a c*** joke. She's literally clutching pearls because women are in a blood and guts match. She is making fun of the online reaction to this. This week is a c***. joke which makes me think last week was also a joke hey they're not mutually exclusive but what does it say about you sometimes we see what we want to see oh absolutely and i just want to see jokes

We got a video for Chris Atlanta versus Mercedes Monet. And then the Bang Bang Gang cut a promo about the tailgate four-way. And boy, howdy, is it so much better that Juice Robinson has a beard again. Yeah, I thought that. I know. It's like, there's my boy. There he is. Where have you been?

Then we had Mascara Dorada versus Kasuchika Okada, a double jeopardy match. If Dorada beat Okada, he would get a shot at the unified title. If Okada beat Dorada, then the Don Callis family would get a shot at Sky Team at full gear for the CMLL. trios championships and that is what happened okada got the win really good finish he reversed a top rope hurricanrana did okada into this powerbomb which looked

Sick as all get-outs. Then he picked him up to hit the Rainmaker, but Dorada ducked that to get one last nearfall. Great nearfall. Great nearfall. Then Okada picked him up, and he hit Takeshita's Raging Fire. Then he hit the Rainmaker and got the win. Loved it. Yeah, really like this. I do feel like AEW have not capitalized on the momentum they made for Dorada. Going into All Out.

It was like, oh, wow. Why is Dorada in the Okada Takeshita match? And then he was the standout in this three-way. Since then, he's had one... In the two months since then, he's had one appearance on Collision. It's all been Ring of Honor and CMLL. I was going to say, in defense, he is a CMLL guy. He is not their guy. Yeah, but I think when you start to build up a guy like that...

You should have something. You should just sign him from the promotion. Maybe not sign him, but just use him for at least like two months of being featured. Because then this rematch as a straight singles, which they. had done in the build to the, I can't remember, would have meant more. And it just, as me as a viewer, whenever someone gets a little push, this is another example of...

I shouldn't care, though, because where will the follow-up be? I think it's more a case of it is one of those negatives to put against having partner promotions appearing on your show because they're not going to be there. for the next couple of months because they are not your talent they are talent from you are have hired for one show you've per appearance deal to bring in for a show uh my my partner's best friend uh text me last night. She said, guess where I am? And she sent me a video.

Of Arena Mexico. Whoa. And I couldn't see that. I was like, I'm pretty sure. Well, I didn't know it was Arena Mexico, but I was like, that's the CMLL colours and the top of the logo. It's like, you're in Arena Mexico. How was it? So she's in circus. And I was like, what did you think? And she was like, it was the weirdest, most fun. There was a guy dressed as a parrot.

who ran around. And I've not seen this parrot guy. I'm telling you, he's the next Mr. Iguana. Running up and down the ramp, dressed as a parrot. My wife thinks we're watching Celebrity Race across the world. And they're doing that around South America at the moment. And it's making my wife go like, I'd love to go to South America. And actually, because she's been to Mexico previously, which is in North America. Central America? I think it's in North America.

Because my partner went to Costa Rica. It's Central America in what's called an Isis. An Isis is a section of land that connects two continents, I think. Yeah, but Race Across the World's... It starts in Mexico and I think it ends in the top of South America. Because they're in Guatemala at the moment. Is that not South America? I think it's Central America. so many people correct I called Boston a state the other day Boston a state it's a state of mind that's what I meant is it not a state

No, Massachusetts is the state. I'm going back to Massachusetts. I should know. Bee Gees. Where is Guatemala? I can't even spell Guatemala. Guatemala is a country in Central America. Central America. Well, color me wrong then. They've invented a new continent, I swear. It's like Pluto's no longer a planet.

In my defense, if I can just put my defense in, bad at geography. I was bad at school. I was bad at most things. It's why I'm here. Bad at my GCSEs. Bad at my A-levels. Barely scraped through my university. And now I'm here. I don't get geography. It does not interest me in the slightest. It's so boring. So dudley boring.

So dull and boring. But anyway, so we were talking about going, because Kate wants to go back to Mexico when there was a teenager. And I did say, I was like, if we go to Mexico, I only want to do one thing. Cancun spring break. I want to go. I want to go to Arena Mexico. Yeah, same.

I'm heavily pushing Mexico to be a 2026, 2027 trip. I'm sort of delaying things here because I don't want to bury the Sisters of Sin promo that they did. Oh, they're so good. What have I written here? They're so good. and Tecla is a great counter in energy for them. Tecla's the only thing I like about this. I think the pair of them look great together, but their promos, I think the promos are stupid.

Their shining twin act. You know what? I can't disagree with you. I love it. I love it. I think it's so naff. I think they're so cute. They're not supposed to be cute, though. No, I thought they were a kawaii thing. But then when Tekla comes in, I'm like, oh, no, you're cool. Yeah, you're a badass. I'm scared of her. Yeah, me too.

actually got to interview her in person. Even though at 5'10", I'd probably tower over her. I think I would be terrified. And then the main event was Mercedes-Benz... Oh, sorry. I don't think we said that... Oh, yes. So Okada wins. Don Callis... is on commentary and he stands up and he says, well, now that means we get to fight Skyflight and our Don Callis family team. Sky team. Sky team, sorry. Lane name.

Sky Team and Captain Scarlet. Now, it's the thing, if you're flying with BA, you join as a child. I've got Sky Team points. But he goes, it'll be Okada.

AEW Full Gear Predictions

It'll be Hector Cero. And I'm like, okay, well, here's Rocky Romero. Oh, no. Takeshita. Yeah. And Okada is in the ring. He sells it. perfectly like he did not know he was going to have to team with Takeshita, a guy he has been negging the entire night. What I also love as well is that if you're anyone else, you're like, well, of course it's going to be Takeshita or Kata. Who else do you think they were going to pick?

Mark Davis. But in Carden's head, he's like, he's not going to pick Takeshi. He's rubbish. I thought it's the pre-show. This is a pre-show match. I thought, oh, it will just be a card. akada hechicero and enter one of the others

I didn't think, honestly, it caught me by surprise. I thought it was a great, great reveal. You've already got someone on the team to take the pin. You don't need a secondary option of who could take the pin for the Calis family. Yeah, and the main event was Mercedes-Benz Monat taking on Red Velvet for the Ring of Honor women's TV.

championship to unify the interim and the proper title because red velvet is back from injury i think this needed more explanation like they just went into this match being like yeah one of them's the interim Like, a video package really would have helped tell this story for a new viewer. Yeah, at least Red Velvet's injury, when Mercedes won the...

Interim one. I think it tells you that they don't particularly care. Yeah. Monet was in her hometown of Boston. Home state, sorry. Which is in the continent of Massachusetts. in central slash north america central city uh and manet won with the avalanche lung blower

Cool finish. I thought it was a really good match. Make that her finish. Every other move Monet does should be her finish rather than her actual finish. I thought it was a really good match. I thought Red Velvet came out looking really good. The crowd... was super into it as well because it's a hometown yeah hometown girl uh and then she attacked chris tatlander after the match she was on commentary locked in the statement maker to make chris tap out

Again, I thought it was a functional go-home angle. Yeah, I liked it. I feel like Chris is coming off a bit. Week's the wrong word because she just picks everyone up all the time. But like, why me? So Mercedes at the end of this, she's won the belt. She stands on the commentary desk holding her fully complete title, the Undisputed title, up high. And Chris Statlander's on commentary. Chris also stands up.

also holds up her title. It's like, you might have those 14, but you've not got the one that counts. Great visual. But then Monet's like, you what? And beats the hell out of Chris Statlander and Statlander walks away. I'm like, that's not what I would have done here. Have a big pull-apart brawl where they're equal. Because Monet's just wrestled a 15-minute match. How is she getting the better of Chris right now? You're missing the bigger picture here.

Statlander's winning at the pay-per-view. So you have Monet Stantall on the Go Home show to give her the big angle before then. If you have an equal one, then Chris just wins. I don't. I don't subscribe to that. I agree. I'm saying I think that's why they did it. And it's not my favorite way of booking wrestling, but it is the way that they did this. I enjoyed the match. I'm not super into the feud and the match itself. I think it will be really good though. Oh yeah.

uh and i enjoy chris on commentary when she said like that as you said like she's got 14 titles but she hasn't got the one that i only need one i think she actually made the point like they're just they just are props to her but this means something to me overall Fun, functional episode, but could have done more with a go-home episode. I think this needed something bigger. Shall we go into the Full Gear lineup? Let's do it.

Okay, so what have we got? Boom and Doom. 13 matches. So it's Boom and Doom of Big Boom AJ and QT Marshall with Big Justice taking on Roppongi Vice of Rocky Romero and Trent Barretta. I don't know. Boom and Doom. Yeah, beam and doom, sure. Max Casser and Anthony Bowens taking on the Bang Bang Gang versus Big Bill and Brian Keith versus the Outrunners in a $200,000 four-way taxi match. Yeah, a lot of money being flown around in lieu of actual number one contenderships.

I feel like Castor and Bowens have the most storyline justification that the money will show them they can work together better. So I guess I'll go with them. I'm going with Castor and Bones as well. And then we have El Sky Team of Mascara Dorada, Mystico, and Neon taking on the Don Callis family of Kasuchika Okada, Konosuke Takeshi, and Hechicero.

Well, I think El Sky Team retain here. Me too. And other promotions titles on the pre-show be a bit of a... That's not how I would like my belts to be booked. But also, it's a perfect opportunity to show that Okada Takesh to... miscommunication and tension. To let Hedgesera get pinned. Exactly, yes. I completely agree with you. It'll just be really fun because I'm looking forward to having Mystico working with...

any of the three. Like anytime Mystico is in the ring, I'm going to be super excited. Oh, so my partner's friend who I was texting, she said there was this match where four of the guys were trying to beat up... and take the mask off this one guy. I was like, is it Mystico? She was like, I don't know. It's like, did they sing his song? And they were like, yeah! So he's like, it's Mystico.

And then it'll be Hook and Eddie Kingston taking on a TBA in a tag team match. Hook and Kingston then, I guess. Yeah. Well, unless it's a debuting team. Yeah. Even then it might be. Going on to the main card, it'll be Chris Statlander versus Mercedes Monet for the AEW Women's World Championship. I'm going with Statlander. Yeah, I feel like it's too early to take the belt off Statlander. Monet. Doesn't need any more belts. I think you could build, though, to a bigger match, maybe at Revolution.

for like a rematch of this, Monet puts one of her belts on the line and Monet maybe finally captures that elusive title. That's it. I think you want to tell the story of Monet failing to win this belt. And maybe I don't think she should win this battle until she loses all of the other ones. That's a good idea.

Jon Moxley taking on Kyle O'Reilly in a no-holds-barred match. I've just realized as well, I've said it's a no-DQ match in the news. Uh-oh. That's going to be every other comment left on that video that I got that wrong. Bonus baby is going to be straight in there to be like, you f***! idiots what's the show you moron you got this one thing wrong out of the 2 000 words you have to write in a very short turnaround

It is our job, though. Yeah, it is our job. We've got to hold ourselves. You're going to resign now, aren't you? Oh, yeah, absolutely. This will be my last video. Well, tomorrow we've already pre-recorded the TLC episode. Oh, it's been nice working with you. Thanks, man. Good 10 years.

I've got Moxley to win this. Have you? Yeah. Give it to Kyle. I mean, I wish it was Kyle, but he tapped him out in blood and guts. I think the next one's here. Yeah, I guess you're right. I'm going to go with my heart. I'm going to go with the person I just want to get a push.

over my head because you're totally right. That makes more sense. The Babes of Wrath taking on the Sisters of Sin, taking on the Timeless Love Bombs, taking on Marina Shafir and Megan Bain in a four-way tag team match, the winner of which will get to choose the stipulation for their semi-final. match yeah i feel like mina and tony are the favorites to win this that's what i've got to pick i think they will have the most fun this feels like a stipulation

designed to let them pick a stipulation. If you know what I mean. I think they were going to pick something mad like a Taipei Deathmatch. Yes, yeah. So, timeless love bombs. Darby Allin taking on Pac. Because it's Pac's match. Straight wrestling match. You can't beat me. And Pac lost to Cassidy, didn't he? On TV. I think Pac needs a win there. Hank Darby's winning. What's up with Pac? Why are they not booking him stronger? What, Pac? Yeah. Because... I feel it's a pack.

It's been five years now. What more do you want out of them? The guy's in the best shape of his life. They've not done it in six years. Why do you expect them to start now? I guess so. Why break the habit of a lifetime? Carl Fletcher defends the... tnt championship against mark briscoe in a no disqualification match carl fletcher wins mark briscoe becomes a servant of the callus family six months of having to do what they say until he fires out of it

I think Mark wins here. Also likely. Yeah. I think Mark wins. The casino gauntlet for the inaugural AEW National Championship. And it's at the NWA National Championship then. I think this is a... Designed just for Bobby Lashley to have a belt. Yeah, we can't figure out what to do with Bobby Lashley other than make him lose.

other title matches let's give him his own championship that's why i thought he was just going to win the trios titles like after they won that thing i was like oh right yeah and then they win the trios so bobby then has that belt instead yeah uh yep they just invented a new belt for him kenny omega teams with to take on the Young Bucks and Josh Alexander. So the interesting thing, I think you're right. I had the...

I think I might have had the heel team winning and then the Bucks going to walk away with their millions. But then the Don Callis family beat down... kenny and jurassic express and they have that edge jericho moment before summer slam 2010 and they turn around they run back to make the save but i what you said in the review i think makes more sense is that they still they lose as well so even without

money they choose friendship i don't think morally it works as well i agree if they win the money and win the friendship i think the faces win And the Bucks walk off dejected. The rest of the Callis family starts beating down Omega and Jurassic Express. And that's when you get the edge, Jericho, stop, turn around, save. I think you're right. But that also ties into why I think Mark joins the family.

They lose the Bucks, but oh, now we've got Mark. There's a lot of fun to be had with Mark. Booking Mark against the conglomeration. I think there would be some real fun within that. He's just such a good baby face. I really think everyone will fall in love with him in this conflicted, okay, I've got to beat up Orange Cassidy. Oh.

And we've got Brodido taking on FTR for the Tag Team Championships. I've got Brodido to win here. FTR, they've done something to me with their promo. They said in the, just a backstage bit. We need to win this so we become the third time champions and the greatest tag team in history. Do you think you know me? Yeah, because I think they get the belts and then they go into an Edge and Christian feud. I think that they're going to stop them from being.

the greatest tag team in history because they've got to defeat the greatest tag team in history in order to earn that spot. I think they want the tag belts on FTR to drop them to ENC. I get your argument, and maybe I'm sort of overthinking this, but I think they'll just do a straight tag match without the titles.

I think they're super into Brodido. It feels like they're super into Brodido. Brodido are a fantastic team. So I'm going with Brodido to retain. But I do think we're getting Edge and Christian back on this show. Brodido won it at Forbidden Door. So they've had it for...

three months. I was about to say we were there for it, but I technically was not because I went to go get food. Getting the beers in. Yeah, okay, I'm going to go FTR just to... keep things spicy but it's close a lot of these are close and the main event is the steel cage match for the aew world championship as hangman adam page takes on samoa joe got a paid retention oh yeah this

This one isn't close. This is Hangman Page winning. Yeah, I think so. But who does he feud with next, do you think? Darby. That's why Darby's being packed.

Because all the big names you'd think aren't around. It could be Omega. Well, Omega's going to be doing stuff with the Bucks against the Don Callis family. But you're right. I think that Hangman, his problem at the moment is that he has not got... a ready-made next top challenger I think that's why it's such a shame they've done the national championship because you could have Bobby Lashley hurt business taking on yeah I completely agree with you

Shall we get into some comments? Yes. I've got a couple from yours and Dan's topic last week, which was about TNA and WWE. And Chris Jericho's comments about TNA. Yes. Wow. Number two promotion. Yeah, he said that they look like the number two promotion in the world right now because he was comparing their biggest show of the year to a random taping of Dynamite from the ECW arena, a building famous for not having a lot of people in it.

War Eagle has said it's not even close. TNA is thick behind WWE, AEW, New Japan and CMLL. TNA isn't even remotely close to being the second biggest in the world. Jericho compared TNA's biggest show ever to an episode of weekly TV. the fact that this is even a discussion is a joke. Yeah, I think we wanted to talk about it more because it was like Jericho burying the company he's working for. When that comment came out, the podcast came out...

The comments on the Fightful posting of it was everyone going like, oh, so he's gone, gone. Fightful even posted with NSYNC's bye, bye, bye. Yeah, he's... See you at the Royal Rumble in Saudi Arabia, Chris. We'll see you the week before the Rumble if you can't be hidden before that. But hey, those Talk is Jericho podcasts where he's dunking on all the stuff that happened backstage in AEW. Oh, they're coming. Oh yeah, they'll be coming, yeah.

Jacob Branlett writes, if TNA were the number two promotion in the world, WWE wouldn't want to help them. They would. No, no, no. What he's saying is if they were the number two promotion.

they would see them as competition ah well that's here's where i disagree with you it's better to have your friend as the number two promotion because they're not going to then go for your number one position if they are number two you can hold them in the number two position forever yeah yeah sorry i think what jacob's saying and what i interpret it as saying is tna could only could only get to the second place right if ww is helping them because if wwe weren't helping them

You know what I mean? I see what you're saying. They are in the position they are in because WWE are helping them. And it is within WWE's best interest to help TNA to put them on Wednesday nights against Dynamite. I think it's more... WWE wouldn't help anyone they see as actual competition. I think he's saying it from a, imagine there was no working relationship.

If there was no work relationship, absolutely. They would want to work against them, but there is. So they will do nothing but help them. So I thought I'd read this out. SL Prawn and many others. Pointed out on a Monday, Tuesday Raw review, there was a segment on SmackDown where Heyman went to Nick Aldis and said that he had a contract for War Games and allowed him to pick anyone from the roster, regardless of brand or status.

That's how Drew McIntyre got picked. It's a bit of a weak excuse. I think it works. It works. In pro wrestling terms, it completely works. And I did say on the episode, because a few people ignored me saying this, I must add. I did say... I probably missed something, so please do let me know in the comments what I missed. And they let us know. They let us know, but told me that I didn't watch the show. What I meant was, I clearly missed something.

And finally, Andrew Sanderson on that same Raw Review podcast said, it's been two good Raw's. Let's calm down, lads. Which was the other overwhelming sentiment. I think we were very... And I think from what I've read outside of our YouTube comment section, everyone quite enjoyed this week's Raw. But our comment section was like, I guess maybe it's because we said, hey, WWE is hot again. It's been two weeks. Yeah. And most people.

in our comments were like, nah, I don't think so. Well, a lot of the people in the comments were agreeing with what we said on the episode, which was...

It feels hot because you've got returns. You do four big returns and a title change in this episode. It is going to feel like a big episode of TV, but you can't do this every week. It's actually how you capitalize on what you've created here with... cheat code buzz yes i so i completely agree with those comments but it was a very good episode of raw

So get your comments in on this episode on Spotify or YouTube and we'll try and read out the best next week. And also remember to subscribe because we will be here on Monday with the full gear review, not on Sunday because... It's busy. I'm going to a birthday party. Whose birthday party? It's my brother's partner's 40th. Brother's partner's 40th? Yeah, she's like... I know her. You do know her? Why am I not invited? Did you ask her?

No, I can't ask people to be invited to their birthday, but I'm busy anyway. It doesn't matter. I'm busy. What? You would have invited... You would have not invited me to your 40th birthday. Well, it's just you're part of the group chat that I said the birthday invite is out to. So you were there by extension. Yeah. By happenstance. Any recommendations? Bunga90.

In London. I don't think we've recommended a physical location before. It's a first for the podcast. But yeah, my wife took me up for my birthday because even though my birthday is not till next month. childcare is difficult to come by when you don't have parents local. So my mum was staying with us for a week. So she looked after the kid and my wife took me out for a surprise. And we walked past the Traitor's Experience and I thought she was taking me there.

And I was like, whoa, are we going here? She was like, oh, no, I didn't know this was here. Don't get too excited. This is not where we're going. In hindsight, I'm glad we didn't go because I think the trade experience would be better if you're in a group of 10 as opposed to being two people.

in a group of 10 where you have eight strangers and you'd have to then say be mean to them or they're mean to you you're a traitor because i don't like the way your face is i'm just gonna vibe from you i think you're a dick i'm gonna vibe from you that you're a bitch So instead we went to Bunga 90, which is a 90s themed bar in London. That's awesome. The front of it is a video rental store.

And you go in there and it does look like a video rental store from my youth. With appropriate era titles? Yep. They've got an adult section in the corner as well. Although it's... My wife kept saying, if you want any photos, because I was super excited to be there, because I wanted to go there for a while now. Imagine going to the shop to get your porn. Wow. Did you never do that?

I never went to, no, I never went to a shop to get porn. Oh, no, I did for university. I remember my housemate once sending me down there because he was hung over and he was like, can you go buy me a monster, a can of Red Bull and some porn? I'm sorry, can I... a can of Red Bull some porn and 10 Marlboro Lights. Because that's all he could afford. And I was like, yeah, all right, mate. You're a friend. I smoke Marlboro Reds. Thank you very much.

And I could afford to buy a 20-pack because they sold them in 20-packs back in those days. Anyway, what was I? So you're going into this video rental store. My wife was saying to me, she's like, if you want any photos taken. And there was a wrestling section in the video rental store bit, but it was next to the porn section. So I was like, probably don't take any photos while I'm in this bit here. There was a porn set.

like the video rental oh the wrestling part of the video rental store I see and it was all like when I say porn it wasn't like hardcore pornography it was It was like porn parodies. They had like Tits of Wonderful Life and Sperminator and all that sort of stuff. So you're in this video rental store. It's really, really fun. And then when your table is ready...

they guide you to the back of the video rental store where there is a Pepsi vending machine. And then they give you this spiel of like, you're going to travel back in time and leave 2025 behind. And they open up the vending machine and it's a door.

And you go through that door into the time machine room where you push a VHS into a video player. Satisfying. And it creates this big light show and stuff of you traveling back in time. And then you walk into the next area, which is a recreation of a 90s house.

to walk downstairs to go into the actual bar area underground. And it's really cool in there. And I had a lot of themed cocktails. I had a cheese pizza and it was like the cheesiest cheese pizza. Proper like... like 90s stringy Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Kevin McAllister stringy cheese pizza they've got themed cocktails where they're like served in ceramic like busts yes there's a Kevin McAllister one a Fresh Prince one and a Britney Spears one oh and a

a Nokia like 3210 style brick phone and it was great it's loud as a man who turns 40 next month I would say bit loud in there and it's got public karaoke which is fun if you're in a group of 10 people um but it's otherwise you are just listening to people clearly seeing common people by pulp

written down and be like oh i love that song we should definitely do that one next then getting up on stage and realizing that you've not heard the song for 20 years and you don't actually know the rhythm of the verses but you do know to very loudly shout i want to live like Common people! That's the best karaoke there is, where...

only one out of four is a good singer. Otherwise it's intimidating to go up. I went to a karaoke night once and it was down the road from some theatre school and freaking everyone was doing... pitch perfect purple rains and i was like get out i'm not getting up there to sing never ever by the all saints absolutely get out i shout the singing um yeah i really want to go

We were going to do it for our Christmas party. We were. I told Dave to book a table and he didn't. Well, it's booked up. Well done. I told Dave to book a table ages ago. And he didn't. But yeah, if you go as two people, I think it's easier to get a table because you need to book like a... There's even like four booth areas that you can sort of book out. If you're going as two people, it's probably easy to get a table for. But yeah, highly recommended. It's cool. I'm going to do...

One and a half recommendations. First recommendation, which is the full one. And it's a short one. Joe... I forgot his name then. Joe Hendry's music video went up last week, but I wasn't here last week, on Chelsea Green and... Ethan Page. Ethan Page. Nearly said EC3.

The first half is like fine, but when he goes into the cup chair stuff, I lost it. I thought it was one of these better ones. Is this why you keep bringing up Carlos Silva in a cup chair? No, I just think cup chairs are a funny thing to talk about.

It's fine if that's what you're into. I find it laughable. If you watch property shows and they go around bedrooms, you can often see there are sometimes just chairs in the corner of rooms. My mate gets... furious when it properly hits a nerve he's like what have you never been in a hotel well there's always a chair there so not in your hotels and he just winds him up even more he's got a chair next to his bed and we just keep talking about it it's a cup chair so i put my

Where do you put your clothes? In a wardrobe. In a wardrobe. Not on a cuck chair. Watch a guy screw my wife. Also, you're not putting your clothes on there either, unless they're clothes you're wearing. But my half recommendation, it's one I've recommended before. It's The Chair Company, the Tim Robinson comedy series on HBO, because I was watching it on the plane back. And it surprised me with a full on blowjob. Honestly, that's not a spoiler. You will not see it coming.

Most of the plane did, though, when it suddenly looked like I was watching hardcore porn. A lot of porn chat on this, though. More than I was expecting. Yeah, we should bring it back. Bring back porn chat. Bring back going down to your local store, your local corner shop to buy some pornography. Otherwise it's a dying art. When the films had actual funny titles rather than just stepmother.

10 stepmother traps. Why are they always trapped? I don't find that sexy. I want to help. Well, they are helping by doing it. think they're really helping anyway on that we should get out of here i remember being on a plane watching uh the wolf of wall street And that is, like, I did not expect that the opening shot of that is Leonardo DiCaprio doing a bit of blowout of Lady's arsehole right at the start of the movie. I was like, maybe I shouldn't watch this on a plane. Long flight.
