This was a historic episode of Dynamite. Yes. This was now officially the longest running prime time wrestling show on a Turner network. It has now had more episodes. There have been more episodes of Dynamite than there were. It's such a convoluted statement. I wish it was shortened because I know what they're trying to say. It's like the longest running show on Turner or something. And then it trails off. But congratulations to them, though. It was a fantastic show.

We've been waiting for it. Shots have been fired for ages by Eric Bischoff. So we've been waiting for the victory lap and the victory lap was in the form of a fantastic show. It was a perfect show. No notes. And I can't wait to delve into it. Happy Saturday. It happened on Saturday. I do have one note. I didn't love the MJF segments. You didn't? No, I'm not a huge fan of the MJF segment. But we'll get to that when we get to it. But yeah, this is a victory lap episode.

of Dynamite this you know people have been saying this company's dead it's down the toilet it'll never survive and here it is six odd years later and it's had more episodes than Nitro and you know one of those loudest proponents of the show one of those loudest

people who did not like the show much was Eric Bischoff. So there is a sort of a nice little bow that Tony Khan can sort of like Hang on his hat now to say that I have more episodes of TV than Eric Bischoff managed to have, even though actually Bischoff was not there for all of Nitro's run. And I think Bischoff has said recently on a podcast that the reason why he's been so critical of AEW as of late is because Tony Khan had been critical of Ted Turner in an interview.

And Bishop was like, I just lost all respect for him when he was critical of Ted Turner. What? This is a billionaire on billionaire fight. Why are you getting involved of your former employer? You think he cares?

You think Ted Turner right now is getting news about wrestling? He's like, oh, that's the thing I used to do. He doesn't care. Why do you care? Huh? Doesn't make sense. He's not making stuff up. People have the assumption that he's upset with Tony Khan because Tony didn't offer him a job. Because he was thinking, oh, he's like Dixie, right? He's a big gullible, he's a fan. Yeah, he's like, it's the dating period. They're kind of dipping it.

or the toe, the toe in the pool. It's a bit warm. I may jump in there, maybe exec producer again, but no, no. Tony Collins is like, no, I can do a better job with you. I think that's what it was. It was a case of like Tony's like, nah, I'm going to learn from their mistake. And he's like, mistake. You listen there little kid. I don't do mistakes. I beat WBF once.

You know, he hangs his hat on that. I think it was the case of ego, not Ted Turner. It was his ego that was hurt and bruised. Also, I think that Bischoff is a fairly smart man and saw that there was money to be met. and clicks to be had from taking the anti-AEW stand.

at a period of time. Now he's got egg on his face. Well, I mean, is it egg on his face? Because like, you know, it's still the number two promotion. It is still, it is growing again. But it is like all of the problems that people said that AEW were going to face. have sort of come to fruition. But they also, those same people don't then celebrate the wins. They don't celebrate. And to Bischoff's credit, he did give what was incredibly a backhanded congratulations on a...

where he effectively said in so many words, I can read the quote if you want it, but in so many words said, well done, I guess. I don't care, but you do. So I'm glad that you're happy. But you do care because you congratulated him.

something he said he goes it means nothing to me that it's had more episodes of nitro but it does mean something to tony khan so i'm glad that he's happy no because he was saying that no this is bs he's he's acting like he's got memory issues or something like that because he was going on about how they wouldn't last doing this they're making these mistakes yada yada yada

But the thing we're forgetting is that AEW is in a much better position than TNA was. Once upon a time, your Dixie Carter had... Kurt Angle, Booker T, Kevin Nash, Sting, Flair, and then the young guys were like Samoa Joe, AJ Styles, Bossy Machine Guns, Daniels. All of that roster, but it didn't even equate in terms of the same kind of success that AEW's had in terms of selling out stadiums and, you know, in terms of ratings.

we're in a streaming era because people will try to be cheeky saying well you know dynamo you know like impact used to do these numbers but there's much more streaming there's youtube's more of a thing so it's kind of like um it's more diverse in terms of how we're viewing things so that's what what happens

And yeah, exactly. Pay-per-view numbers. Let's talk about that. I was going to say, I think the pay-per-view buy rates is the clearest example of, if you're looking at the AEW TNA, like comparison piece, TNA's best. selling pay-per-view they did was um was one of the lockdowns uh basically i mean i've covered all of these shows recently for for a rest talk

And they did my Bound for Glory 06 and the first like Joe Angle match, like Genesis 06. Like these are like their biggest buy rate numbers. And it was 60,000 buys. Right. TNA, on average, do around 100,000 buys for B pay-per-views that aren't, don't have a lot of hype. And they have just had pay-per-view success after pay-per-view success.

And like, you know, that's TNA in a real pay-per-view model era. And this is AEW in a very different pay-per-view model landscape than, you know, the 15 years, well, actually it's only 20 years ago since when TNA was. So that for me is like the bigger marker of success as opposed to ratings because there's so many variables and moving parts that doesn't make it a fair comparison. But pay-per-view is pay-per-view and buys are buys and it shows that AEW are very good at marketing themselves.

and appealing to their audience base and you know because if tna were getting like 1 million viewers a week but could only convert 8 000 of them to buy a pay-per-view you know whereas like tna This AEW, on the other hand, can say, like, we've got 600,000 viewers a week, but we can convert 150,000 of them to buy the paper.

A lot of people that the grifters and stuff have said has not come to fruition. AEW has lasted. It'll be on the air for another couple of years yet as well. So there's more episodes to be added to it. You're right, though. I do like the fact that they have to... it's the same with wwe's like we're the longest running episodic weekly television at a certain time and you sort of have lots of caveats too

They lose me when it becomes convoluted. What they want to say is, we've had more episodes than Nitro. Yeah, they should have said that. It would be funny. The easiest way to do that is just say, we're the longest running. weekly we're the longest running wrestling show on a turn of broadcast in a prime time slot That's great. I heard half of that. You sound happy about that. If you're happy, I'm happy too. Yeah, exactly.

That was Bischoff's point. If you're happy, I'm glad for you. No, I did it on purpose because I was like, yeah, sure. But we had a stacked old show today. You know, we had Athena and Mercedes Mo Ney. We had Will Ospreay and Canosky. to Keshta, we had the Hurt Syndicate in action, and we had this main event, which was the Deathriders taking on the Ops for the Trios Championships, which was unfortunately a bit of a cursed match.

because pack got injured last week in the swerve strickland match he's hurt his ankle so he was taken out this match replaced by john moxley and on the upside of things Hook was vomiting in the ring after the tag match last week. Apparently it's concussion based. Well, so the online speculation was concussion based. Wrestling Observer said it's not concussion based.

But he was removed from this match and he was replaced by Powerhouse. Dodgy tummy. Dodgy tummy, you know, he took a hell of an uppercut. I think it's weird to be like, oh, it's not this thing, but also he can't run.

the weird thing is even though i watched the show last week i didn't notice that he puked in the room no me neither absolutely not pick up in it whatsoever but yeah but there are a lot of fans that were concerned that it was concussion could still will be it's only one place that's saying that it's not then then he got launched and rammed on his belly and they

On this week's show, it was only Excalibur and Tony Schiavone, and they were saying that Hook got attacked by the Deathriders. He's been taken to the hospital, and Taz has gone with him to be with his son. So he had a... Beautiful too, man. Commentary booths today. I was like, no offense to Taz, but no jonesing commentary was...

It was a breath of fresh air. It was just straight up. You had two play-by-play guys in Tony Schiavone, legendary play-blah-blah-blah-blah-blah. Play-blah-blah-blah-blah. Play-blah-blah-blah. And then you got Excalibur, you know, who's been like the leading voice.

of AEW for quite a while so it was good to it was just straight to business yeah i mean excalibre the voice effectively since day one you know he wasn't the original plan to be the lead guy it was supposed to be um oh what's your man yeah alex marvez in the first one but he kind of struggled on that first show and excalibre had to carry him throughout the entire broad

And then he just got the lead commentary. He was meant to be color commentator. Yeah, and it was like Jim Ross was supposed to be doing some lead in color as well. And it didn't quite work out. The original commentary team... Did not work out, but we now have quite a... I like the three of Tony and Excalibur and Taz, but bloody hell, it's lovely to have a two-man booth. It's one of my favorite things about WWE at the moment. It's a two-man booth. I don't mind the two-man booth unless you have...

Wade Barrett just to squash a bit of Pat McAfee's nonsense well yeah I'm not a Pat guy but I used to be a Pat guy I used to be that's a conversation for another podcast but here to celebrate AEW and actually there's the chair pointing out as well and TNA they're still here yeah can you believe that tna is still around listen tna was so close to like being rejuvenated then kazuchika okada kissed the tna uh sign on the canvas and cursed it

You know, next thing you know, Scott DeMoore's gone and they turn around on employees that the partnership with the WWF or WWE. Yes, it's not the same. I was excited about TNA. So even DeMoore goes, we're effing back. I was like, yeah, you're effing back. Oh, you are back. You're back to your BS again, TNA. I see. I don't know. I like what TNA are doing. At least they finally put the belt on Joe.

Like, you know, granted, it was about six months too late, but at least they pulled the trigger eventually. You're talking about Samoa Joe. You're talking about old school TNA. Oh man, old school TNA. You only won that belt once. I find that staggering.

you know I find staggering they had Desmond Wolfe and Eric Bischoff didn't see anything in here well yeah Bischoff and Hogan completely ruined Nigel McGuinness with NTNA because they didn't to push him even though the fans kept telling us push desmond yeah he won he won that weekly that weekly ranking but again

We're like three weeks in a row and they just kept putting him out there and squashing him on TV and then winning the polls. They just stopped doing the polls. Again, guys, we're here to save an AEW, but we'll be going on SideQuest. We're going to start. We promise.

We're going to be here to talk about the Death Riders and the Ops for the Trios Championship. This match started broadly at the top of the second hour, so it was not going to get a huge bunch of time. So, you know, they did some stuff and then the chaos began.

We had Willow Nightingale running out. She stopped Moxley using a chair. We had the Young Bucks come out, but then Swerve Strickland appeared in the crowd and he took out the Young Bucks. We had Shibata choking out Claudio Castagnoli on the steps, neutralizing him. I love that bit of the ops where they just... each one of them takes out one of the other guys. Yes.

But not near the ring. Away from the ring. I'll go there, you go there, we go there. Spread it out. We saw it last week where Samoa Joe was like, I'm going to take out Claudio on the outside and you get Yuta on the inside. And this one, it was like you had...

Utah on the outside being taken out by Powerhouse Hobbs. Shabatta's up on the ramp, taking out Claudio, which just leaves Joe and Mox in the ring. And then Marina Shafir hits Powerhouse Hobbs with a chair, so Willow Nightingale takes her out. And then before you know it...

Coquina clutch to Jon Moxley. Yep. And he's out. Quite quickly. Quite quickly. Like my toddler. My toddler will, you know, pull up a fuss about... to sleep and within a few minutes she's out like a light the same with john moxley he's just out yeah i don't know if he tapped or if he like passed out i didn't see any indication that he there's no tapping there's no verbal communication just

he went to take a nap yeah i mean i've i've called the title of this uh samoa joe taps out john moxie because i'm gonna think of a better way to put it but like it chokes him out it chokes him out yeah i forgot youtube yeah sorry sorry youtube it's not bdsm you promise

And so, yeah, we've got new trios champions and Samoa Joe handed one of the belts to powerhouse Hobbs. Yes. So that's really cool for Hobbs. Could create a storyline for when Hook comes back as well. So I don't know what you want to do with that, but there's something you can't.

Something on the table that you could go down the route with. But because this was a celebratory episode, all the baby faces came out and all that champagne. And it was there to celebrate Dynamite breaking this record, but it was also in a kayfabe set. They beat the Death Riders. They've got back some of these AEW titles that are being held hostage by the Death Riders as we stand against them.

almost like 10% of the feeling of when Lex Luger beat Hulk Hogan to win the WCW title because people often ask or because the video gets posted a lot on social media it's one of those things you had to be there because that was like a big moment because NW was running rampant and they were like always winning and it's kind of happened the same thing it was trails title it's not the world title but it's been a while since AEW's had a win it felt a bit different I was like oh my gosh we're not

Disappointed at the end of the show. Top to bottom was great. What is this? A-E-W good? I mean, it was a fun little match. Really, it was all just chaos. But I enjoyed the chaos of it.

the chaotic nature of it. And actually, the win itself was like a... yeah great and it was really nice Samoa Joe stamped himself as one of the best AEW performers and AEW has been doing this thing where they've been rejuvenating people's careers because if you look up and down you've got people that were told her they'll watch somewhere with joe when he went to aew we were like oh you know

It seems like he doesn't have what it takes anymore. He's a bit slower, a bit this, a bit that. Nope, he can still go. He's a bit smarter. He formats the matches now. It's not like how he was in TNA. It's not the fast-pacedness that he used to have with his big man style. It's more methodical, but it's still Joe. And I'm just so happy because WWE run was a mixed bag.

it was much better in his TNA run towards the end towards the end yeah but I feel like in AEW it's kind of it rejuvenated his legacy to the point where you'd no longer look at him and have that sad boo-boo eyes like oh he could have been special Yes, Joe was, I mean, I've done this dance a thousand times before on this podcast, but there was, when he was in WWE, I was like, oh, I guess this is it for Joe now. I guess this is just what Samoa Joe is now. He's just...

He's not the same Samoa Joe I loved in TNA. And that's okay. We have to change. We have to adapt. And wrestlers have to change. They have to adapt. And that's just okay. And then he goes to AEW and I was like, oh no, you are still TNA Joe. He wasn't there all along. It's just because of the way that WWE does matches and stuff, you could not be that Samoa Joe. Especially under that old regime of WWE.

he was there all along and i'm really glad that aw much like they did with sting have been able to give him the flowers that he deserves because even in tna when he was like the biggest guy in tna and one of the biggest stars they never gave him his flowers as i said earlier that boy only won the tna world championship once and he held it for about six

And they unboyed him with Kevin Nash. That showed you how much they thought of him. Like, well, you know, you're going to get a rub from Kevin Nash, right? He was always just, you're not a top guy. The fans kept telling that company for years and years and years and years and years, even before Hogan and Bischoff came.

Telling Jarrett and co, he's our guy, crown him. And they kept being like, nope, he does not have a main event body. We can't give him that world title. And they never put the belt on. But speaking of bodies, you had powerhouse hubs come in, right? I was shocked because... In my head thinking, I'm like, Joe and Shabat are crazy enough to do a two on three. And I was like, was it going to be a case like it's going to be two on three and then someone comes out?

It's like, I'm going to help you guys out. But no, they stood there on the stage, the music simmering down. I'm like, oh, there's another person coming out. Who could it be? Hobbs would have been the last person on my mind because we haven't seen him in weeks. That's what it was, like out of mind, out of sight sort of situation. But when he came out, I was like, yes.

Hobbs is perfect. He's the perfect fit for this group as another member of this faction. I think it's a great fit. At first, I was like, my first thought was, oh, it's Ishii. I don't know why, just like in my head, I was like, hey, she makes complete sense to come out with these guys.

But Hobbs makes even more sense because he's part of the AEW roster. Yes, and also the Team Taz connection. Yeah, that's right. I forgot then. I was like, oh, yeah, they are home. Oh, yes. Yes, I remember now. I was like, yeah. So I guess, yeah, it is going to be Shibata, Joe, and Hobbs as the Trios Championship. I mean, would you like to see them do a jealousy storyline for Hook coming in and being like, that was supposed to be my spot and you took it from me?

If it leads to something good, yeah, but I'm scared it might be a bit naff. I just prefer that Hulk is happy with them being champion and they tell him, you can go for the TNT title. It's not like they're stopping him. Like, this is the only ceiling you have. Even in my head, I was like, oh, yes. Hook's finally going to win an actual belt that's actually sanctioned within the company.

But, you know, timing is obviously the issue. It wasn't meant to be. Hobbs is a great substitute. I don't know if he's going to get a full-time membership in a group because look at Pac and the Death Riders. It was him, you know, it was like my two homies are fed bound or WWE bound and I need a couple of, you know, team members and he ended up joining the BCC and now he's a death rider. you know another group for hubs

I don't know, because that's been the issue with Hobbs in the past, right? He's been in so many different groups. You want him to be by himself a lone wolf. But at the same time, him standing side by side with Joe and Shibata, the other baddest guys in the locker room, makes the most sense. They are ops. The definition of what Ops is, you look at Ops,

Joe and Shabbat, you're like, yeah, these are the people preventing me from getting away in life. Honestly, like this group stand together. I said the same thing last week when Hook and Joe were just stood on the top of the ramp, arms folded. I was like, these... Some badasses right here. Those three together and they're holding up the belt. So I'm like, those are some badass dudes right there. I'm going to shout out this person in the chat. He called them Powerhouse Arps.

Powerhouse Ops. I like that. That's good, man. I like it a lot. That's a good trio of his name, yeah. On BBC iPlayer. The last five years has just gone bam. Stacey Solomon and Jo Swash are opening their doors to their home. People's cottage is a lot like our relationship. Constantly working on it. And their perfectly imperfect family life. Watch on BBC iPlayer. What makes a good bet? At Virgin Bet, we think it's a simple bet, a responsible bet.

resttalk.com forward slash support we'll read out all of your chats before the end of the show and Pons kicks things off to say hi lads hope you're doing well hell of a dynamite yesterday and I'm so happy to see Shabata win a championship again after everything he's been Now, I hope they don't make it a dusty finish because Marina hit Hobbs with a chair.

that off yeah i think based on history dusty finishes is it has to be within the same show the same arena yeah same everything same time zone exactly yeah like if you do this next week you had to end this show I feel you had to end this show on a happy note because this is a celebrating episode I think that they were always going to win the trios titles here

And I think you didn't want to do like an F finish. No, but the only thing I'm kind of worried about is we're talking about there's going to be anarchy in Arena and double or nothing. I'm kind of worried that... they just won the trio's title and then joe's gonna face moxley for the title because he tapped him out right he well yeah so that is something that aw used to do

but they haven't done a lot since. There was a period when Better Than You Bebe were going for the tag titles, and they faced FTR. And Dax pinned Max while he was the AEW World Champion on Collision. And I was like, oh, and that will set up Dax to face Max. for the AEW world title, and it never came. I feel like that part of AEW was a relic of the old days.

Okay. I mean, I'm hoping I'm wrong because I want to see Samoa Joe going against Jon Moxley for the AEW world title. He's not going to win it, but...

I think that'd be a fun match and I'd really like to see it. But what would the complaint of that he just won the Trios title and now the one third of the Trios championship is challenging for another belt? Because that seems to be the trope. Yeah, when you tapped out the champion. If you tapped out the champion, you should get a title shot. I guess because it's Joe.

because it's joe and also right exactly if it's somehow joe doing anything i think that he should just do whatever he wants it's joe we don't know how long we have him for so yeah sure exactly Noshua here said, hey guys, man am I jealous of that Boston crowd.

some standout matches tonight, then got to see Michael Oku on Ring of Honor afterwards as a milestone episode of Dynamite. What have been your guys' standout memories of AEW Jam That Jam? Yeah, shout out to Michael Oku, was part of the Ring of Honor taping. He is a busy boy this weekend because I think he's doing like quadruple duty like today or tomorrow and stuff like he is.

He was in Boston. He's flying out to Vegas to do some stuff for Progress and just around the WrestleMania weekend. Then he's flying back because I think he's doing the Doncaster show for Rev Pro that Mercedes is on. You just made me knackered explaining to me what he's doing. I was like, I can't do that. I need some sleep in between that. How's he sleeping? On the plane, I guess, which is not good sleep for you. But yeah, shout out to Michael Oku. And Amira was there with him.

So I'm really, really pleased with the pair of them. But yeah, what have been, guys, standout moments of All Elite Wrestling over the years? Do you know what it is? The one that always jumps to my mind is... When the Dark Order laid out the Elite in that December episode, and it got so much flack and so much backlash online, then they had two weeks where they did like recap episodes because it was the Christmas break.

And then come January, Tony Khan was like, okay, I'm taking over this show now and I'm going to take over the book. And then he put on just this absolutely killer show. And it was like, oh, this feels like a different company now. And it led to what was an incredible run that sadly was hampered slightly by the pandemic.

um but i love and i still have the visual in my head of kenny and hangman winning the tag titles on the jericho cruise and that lovely different looking dynamite which funny enough gg dolem was on as a family that people don't remember yes yeah some of those early days i really stand out

is it all out 2021 which is considered the best one that's the one with adam cole and yeah and brian danielson yeah and punk has his first match back you know like and you got like the first grand slam dynamite that comes shortly after that It's unfortunate. It's not a, it's a rampage thing, but it's... the danielson uh oh the the suzuki danielson match that they put on to compete against smackdown That was a wild time of wrestling.

Exactly. AEW for me existing is for me a great memory and great moment because they've changed wrestling for the better. Having competition. This is what I grew up with as a kid. wrestlers had options where to go and i'm so happy that aw exists and it's giving people an opportunity to jump you know evil different sides we get excited when you hear contracts running up for a certain wrestler you're like oh i can't wait for them to go to the other company and aw existing offers that so yeah

Exactly. And it goes both ways. You see how Ricochet feels so much more refreshed in AEW than he did in his last couple of years in WWE. Similarly, look how much refreshed Penta feels. in WWE compared to his last couple of years in AEW. And the same for Ray Phoenix.

the short couple of weeks that he's been there it's it's amazing what new scenery can do for you and just this like so it gives you a whole new lease on life i'm i am not one of these people that's like you should just if you pick a company you should stay there actually you should always try new different apps

I think I'm very much of the opinion that you should try new things. If you feel like you've accomplished everything here, go give WWE a try. If you feel like you've accomplished everything you can in WWE, go and give AEW. That's why I feel like Mariah May should go to WWE because of that. Because I feel like she, you know, I've won the world title. What else? Win the TBS. It's kind of like, imagine you've got your president of the company. Have you been vice president? No, but you, you, I'm up.

kind of like what she's had the best feud that she possibly can do and like and it's only been like 18 months i guess and you could there are more things that she can do if you wanted to drag it out if you want to drag it out yeah i mean you can revisit the tony storm stuff down the line But really, are you going to get anything better than you had with that Hollywood ending? I think people, and that's another thing as well, people will always compare her subsequent feud to the Tony one.

So if it's like, oh, it's not like the Tony, and then people are like, well, I guess it was Tony the reason why she was in this position or whatever. So it makes sense that she pulled over the strongest she can ever do. It's almost like that saying of the time-honored tradition. You come in. You're like a high rising supernova star burning brightly. And as you're dissipating, people will have that good memory of you just being there and doing your thing and leaving. So yeah, that good 18 months.

or I always have positive memories of it, go to WWE and see what you can do there. Kevin here said Mercedes versus Athena was worth the wait. Osprey and Takeshita don't know how to have a bad match. The episode left me in such a good mood. The only thing the Deathrider story right now was senior freaking Joe. He's the best. I love this man. Give him everything.

agree. And Kuzu is arguably the greatest episode of TV ever. This was sorely needed after the backlash to Dynasty and Tony definitely needed this. Top to bottom amazing show and hopefully they can maintain the momentum. Well, let's get into the show because we've got some really good stuff to talk about here.

In particular, we kick things off with Mercedes Monet versus Athena in the Owen Hart tournament. But it was like a little messy at times, but it's kind of what you were talking about a couple of weeks back, where it's like that messiness adds things to the match quality. for you and some of it was a bit sloppy it was a bit messy but it was a bit scrappy and i loved that but when they got going man did they ever get going

Yes. I think Sasha Banks and Ember Moon have been in the ring together. I don't know if his outfit was in a one-on-one capacity. There's a tag. Yes. But the first time them interacting without any shackles of the WWE house style.

I was thoroughly impressed because it's been hype for ages. Because sometimes when you hear something hyped, you get a bit worried because you're like, is it going to live up to the hype that you've been building up in your head? But in the beginning of the match, you had like the fans on their feet. cheering for it you know like it's been a while since you've seen a big women's match get that sort of reaction

And there was no wasted motion. Like you said, it was scrappy. It felt like it was a competitive match. So nothing was like... you know sometimes things are crisp and clean it's kind of like i i'm i'm not seeing that urgency there's like that urgency between them of like i have to one up you and i also like in the beginning of the match when they were doing that cradle no one was going to pin it just cradle going around in a circle and then there's that one moment when um

Mercedes had that cross face and they rolled all the way outside. And like I said, there was no moment when there was a gap for them to breathe. it was just that they were going at it outside the ring inside the ring no area was wasted or left behind and it and it left me wanting more because in my head i was like This is probably only just the beginning. They probably gave us a little sample of what they can do on a pay-per-view. I completely agree. And I talked about old TNN. Try that again.

Speaking of old AEW feeling. You know, when they came down to the ring and they were saying, like, Athena's 61-0 since she won the Ring of Honor title. Like, I don't know the exact numbers. And Mercedes-Monaise is, like, 29-0 since she won the TBS championships. You're like, whoa, these are two, like, unstoppable, unbeatable... beast that are about to go at it and I loved the work that they did together helped by an

Incredible Boston crowd. Also, I love the setup of where they were. That three-tiered thing, it looked rad. and it was a genuinely brilliant match and towards the end you got Athena locked in her own statement maker. Mercedes-Benz reversed that into her own statement maker. You had the sunset flip powerbomb into the barricade, which made the screen all fizzle and stuff. And then Mercedes blocked the O-Face and just got like a snap roll up to get the win.

To your point, leaving a lot on the table. Neither hit their finish in this match. And then afterwards, Toni Storm appeared in the crowd. Which is there to be like, huh, Mercedes-Benz could be the winner of the tournament here and she'll face Tony Storm. Maybe that's your all-in Texas. I think it's a red herring. I hope so. I think it's Athena Monet too at All In. I hope so. Yeah, I think, and probably for the Ring of Honor Championship, maybe like that.

how Athena can get the matches by putting her title on the line. Although if it is, then, I mean, that might mean that Athena's getting the win back. If they do title versus title, then maybe Mercedes wins. But if it's just for the RH title, then yeah, Athena wins.

but then again do they want to do that because it will feel like more like a foregone conclusion about the result if it's just one title I don't know they want they should make us feel like oh no Mercedes wants to be like the belt collector and this is like but you also want it to be i don't know they're in a situation but i don't want to overthink it i just want to enjoy it what i want for uh all all in

Because it's all in all that. What I want for all in Texas is Athena versus Mercedes. It makes sense because Athena's from Texas. It makes the most sense because not a lot of people will think about it a lot. Their first match was in Mercedes' hometown. You can pretend that or you can say that the home crowd advantage is why you won all that kind of BS.

face me in all in texas with my people and i'm gonna show you what i'm about so you got you didn't it would be kind of mimicking mariah may and tony storm when they felt they faced each other in each other's home turf each getting a victory in a home turf and in their third one is more in a neutral ground uh here's my pitch for you then okay you have this match here in boston you have the rematch in texas uh where athena can retain keep the roh champion

And then the third match in the trilogy, Mercedes Athena 3, Forbidden Door. For the TBS title. For all the gold. All the marbles are online, which will include the Rev Pro British Women's Championship. All the marbles on that night. And then it's a neutral ground. It's AEW versus Ring of Honor for multiple... It's almost as forbidden doors as you can get with all the other championships on the line. I like that. Yeah, and that's where you do the third.

But also, if Mercedes wins the RH title, there'll be complaint about no stars were created. Because it's kind of like... It was meant there for better. yeah it was meant for Billie or Queen Aminata or I'm forgetting the woman's name Velvet Red Velvet yes there's so many women that faced Willow There's been so many people that actually faced Athena, never got their comebacks in terms of winning the title.

Yeah, I can see the complaints being there. But still, the match we've got right now, worth it, man. Superb. Also, shout out to AEW. They announced this week, not only they're doing Arena Mexico for doing a Grand Slam in Mexico.

They are going to be running the O2 for Forbidden Door. Genuinely, I'm so surprised. Because when I was there for Smackdown and Raw, and I'm chatting with people who are coming up to say hello and stuff, and they were asking, like, where do you think Forbidden Door is going to be? And I was like, well, I don't think it'll be at the O2. because, well, my reasoning for it is because, well, I'd imagine WWE got an exclusive contract.

they always run the o2 whenever they come to london and everyone that was there would be like yeah i don't think it'll be the o2 i had people come up to me and be like i mean it's not going to be here is it and i'm like yeah probably not they'll probably do it at um wembley arena which feels like such a massive downgrade from the stadium still like could be quite packed out and stuff but the rest things were talking about this a couple of weeks back where it's like where

The O2 is like a very good level, but there's not a lot of other places around here that are that sort of mid-tier level. You're either going to do a massive stadium or do one of the smaller places. So then getting the O2, I think is a great result.

And they will pack it out. I think they can quite easily... oh yeah without a doubt and what i'm also happy about is in terms of travel so much easier one stop away from my family home it is a lot easier than getting out to where yeah which is weird as well because it's got two lines that get towards it but it just felt like it takes ages nah i feel like i'm there for 10 years when i'm on there but this one is like it's that met line man oh

dude you don't really want to make me start about travel but you know what it's ideal too it's a change of scenery nice and i'm excited about it i potentially could be going i may have to negotiate with my partners she didn't sign for her birthday on that day and i'm like

shame on you you should have known better come on now it's the August man holiday they're gonna be AEW we're gonna be running I don't know it's like she went to both AEW shows with me she should have known and then now it's like I went to her I don't know if I'm going to and she's like we'll talk about when I get home

Plus, it'll be all-in weekend, so you'll have RevPro will be doing their anniversary show, but they're doing it in the Crystal Palace. Really? Yeah, which is where they did Will's last match. Ah, okay. And I like it in there. It's like a little sports hall thing, but I quite like going to see...

So, yeah, I'm excited for All In Weekend. Wrestling! Because it's like getting my own little WrestleMania. It's like getting a WrestleMania weekend, but I don't have to go to Las Vegas. All In Weekend! Oh, yeah, a lot of my friends are there, man. I'm jealous, dude. Like, I've been seeing...

Alex is out there and Charlie's out there and I'm just seeing all these people are posting up their videos stuff I'm like what i wouldn't do to be out in vegas right now you look at the price rate and then well yeah clarity you're like no i'm thinking about like i'm making the pitch for us to do north

And I'll look at the ticket and I'll be like, it's been nice knowing you guys. Enjoy New Orleans, you know, get some jumbo in there. Backstage, we had the Young Bucks walking up to Hangman Adam Page as he was trying to be interviewed about the wildcard. And they were like, look, we accept an apology, even though you've never given it.

but also you're welcome we made sure that Swerve was not the champion just as you wanted you're welcome we're friends and all so do you know what champ I think you should go win the Owen Hart tournament and bring the world title back to the elite not even in the elite guys the the the hubris and the delusion you kicked him out guys you find him and send him home and then you when you brought him back you expect him to do your bidding and he doesn't want to do your bidding

Yeah, this is just the beginning of the cracks. Well, there's already cracks. There's going to be a gaping hole in the ground between their relationship. Exactly, yeah. I thought this was a lot of fun. And at the end of it, Okada... looks the page he's like hey what's wrong you should smile He scowls and he walks away.

and hangman page storms right back and he's like no i said smile i said smile you know what yeah he's got a regal-esque sense of humor that works where he's a killer with a great sense of humor a bit like kurt angle But at the same time, you can't help but feel like he's betraying what Japanese people betrayed like in action films, like in the 90s. So you can't help but feel like, I was like, oh.

Is this like some sort of, is this like the director of Die Hard? His definition of a Japanese, you know, the Swami-suited Japanese corporate guy? But he does such a great job. And, you know, this is the real with him. It's always been a joke that he's a guy with a silly sense of humor in the body of a main eventer. He just wants to do goofy stuff. And in AEW, he gets to do 50-50.

It's all about character work because I feel like if he was all stoic, they would have claimed that, oh, Okada's a bit boring or blah, blah, blah, whatever. But he's giving you that sports entertainment that you crave for. So, yeah, I'm loving it. And then we've got Hangman Page taking on the wild card in the Owen Hart opening round tournament. And it was indeed Walking Weapon Josh Alexander. A lap of honor. I don't know if you're trying to shake my hands. I'll take both hands.

I predicted this! Damn, man. That's a hell of a handshake. And please, no, I mean, the floor is yours. This is your victory lap. I predicted this for the simple reason that he was signed back in February and we heard nothing.

when will be the best time to debut him? Because I've seen a lot of mutual people, people that I listen to in terms of podcasting, they were saying he's either Darby Allin, my surprises, haha, or might be Scapegoat. That's the one that I became worried about. Because especially when you had the Bucks saying, well good luck out there hope you win and you see scapegoat coming that's a bit you know nefarious but no it was a walking weapon like i predicted and then they had a match

I'm going to let you break it down. But yes, I was right. Victory lap. I mean, I've kind of got nothing to break down in the match itself. As I said in the editing review, and you and I talked about this the last couple of weeks, the reason why I didn't think it was going to be Josh Alexandre.

Jarrett is we had him as well. Yeah, because I thought it was a storyline thing ties into last year's tournament and the storyline that Jeff started this year, which is 100% now just being dropped because it was not getting over. They can pick. And I was like, and surely do you want to debut Josh Alexander and have him lose in the opening round tournament? And that is what they did. But it actually was about the followers.

and I think the follow-up means that the loss to Hangman Adam Page isn't what people are going to remember about this not going to remember oh he debuted and just lost in the opening round so on because actually it's one the finish hang my head to get us like a sneak roll up to get in there and the commentator's like oh man he snatched victory from the jaws of defeat

And then afterwards, Carl Fletcher comes out because Hangman Page is facing him in the next round. And he's out there with Don Callis. Fletcher gets the ring and he's posing. Then they start brawling. Kallus walks around to Josh Alexander and I did spot I was like oh Josh is kind of awkward he got a stand there at the moment because he can't go up the ramp Kallus walks over, whispers something in his ear.

And then Josh Alexander gets in the ring, lays out Hangman Adam Page, and allows Fletcher to hit the sheer drop brain buster to stand tall. They didn't say, they said very clean on commentary, I don't think he's joined the family, but he clearly has some... an interest with Don Callis and Don Callis has got an interest That was a phenomenal piece of business because what got Josh Alexander over?

most people know him as that scrappy technical baby face but it was him being healed as part of the north and even when he was ex-division champion well actually became a baby face at that time but He's always had a nasty streak inside him. And someone like Josh Alexander, who's not flashy like Ethan Page in terms of promos, he's the kind of guy who does his talking in the ring.

And in the match that you had with Hangman, you had the back breakers on the... the hard part of the apron apparently it should be it's all hard the hard part of the apron then he did that that low level basement cross body on the back of Hangman Page

showing you that he's just a brutal wrestler. And not only is he a great technical wrestler, but he can go in there and just decimate you. And he's called a walking weapon for a reason. They have to show that aspect of the character first, which is he's ruthless. And he's the kind of person that the Don Callis family has been missing.

You need that guy that's main event caliber ready. I'm not saying Takeshita's not or Kyle Fletcher's not, but you need that guy that you doubt. You know what? They could pull the trigger. You know what I'm saying? That person, since Osprey's left, they haven't had that guy where you're like, he could quite easily win the title if they chose.

I think Takeshita's my guy for that. Like, I think Takeshita, of all the people in the Kalos family, I think he is next in line to be, if I was to pick anyone, I'd say he'd be the one to win the title. Not like he's next in line to win the title, but he is like top of the league to win the title.

I do hope, because as much as I love Okada, the guy, the first Japanese world heavyweight champion in AEW, Shubi Konosuke Takeshi, for a simple reason that they invested all these years in his development into the wrestler he is today. And he's incredible when he wrestles in New Japan. He's incredible when he wrestles in the States.

they should unleash him and make him world champion. But going back to Josh Alexander, it also completes the fact that Don Kais can say, I've got the best of Australia, I've got the best in Japan, and I've got the best in Canada, opening that. kenny omega versus josh alexander international title um feud oh that's a fun one yeah i really like that a lot and so callus comes out later uh for for the to question

And they were like, what did you say to Josh Alexander to convince him? And he's like, well, you wouldn't understand it because I told him it in Canadian. Love it. And, you know, unfortunately, we're a part of the Commonwealth, but I don't speak the language. So I don't know what he said. Backstage, the Patriarchy were cutting a promo when Nick Wayne was...

And he was like, Christian's never here. Dad's never here. That's not what a leader does. Leaders listen to plans. Then the camera pans back and Cage is standing there. Daddy's home. Daddy is home. And he walks up and he's like, yeah, I've not been here for a couple of days.

And that is because I wanted to let you flourish on your own and see what you had. And you've done really well, son. You've really stepped up. So do you know what I've done for you? I've got you a spot in the best of the super juniors in New Japan Pro Wrestling. And I've got you a shot at the Ring of Honor TV Championship. And Christian Cage, little slap across the face. Daddy is home. Mother Wayne looks very proud about all of this.

there's a fun little segment also christian did mention you have to do it by yourself christian's not fun no but the part the part that's interesting is that they're conveying that there is a rift between uh nick wayne and christian cage but christian cage is such a lovable douchebag How do you make us forget that he is a douchebag in order to get to this edge and edge cope and Christian reunion?

So that's why I'm fascinated in seeing how they're going to make us sympathize. Because Nick Wayne is a douchey. He's a douchebag. He's got that douchebag energy, that snot-nosed punk kid kind of energy that you want to smack him around. But at the same time, Christian Cage has got Swami kind of... Prick. So it's going to be. interesting to see how they're going to turn that around but obviously when it comes to who you're going to root for I'm on Christian's side because

I grew up on Christian Cage, one of my favorites, one of the most underrated wrestler. Another person like Samoa Joe likes things being given his flowers in terms of flourishing to the best of his ability without any shackles. We had a recap of FTR's great angle from Collision where they were, you know, taking it everywhere. and you got your wish as well they did go after Tony I was right again oh my gosh

It's like I've been watching wrestling for a while or something. I like the part where Nigel McGuinness did intercept. but I got worried when he had his back too and I was like that's a rookie mistake Nigel but I get you haven't been in the ring in a while I get it you should know better yeah but that was a good segment and it made sense because when Tony Shavari mentioned Dax's daughter I was like yeah that's a kiss of death right there your neck's gonna get broken

The Hurt Syndicate beat Gates of Agony. Gates of Agony got way more in this match than I thought they were going to do. Good. Because they had to beat people. And I love the entrance. You had Bishop Khan dressed in his Cameroon garb. Even though it looked like a luchador in terms of the masked part on his face.

And then you had Toa Leona dressed up in more tribal. They both had like tribal garbs from their area. So you've got Samoa, you've got Cameroon. So it kind of added, the presentation was so great. And all is missing is, I don't know, Stokely Hathaway, someone that can be their manager.

because at one point i was hoping they would go back with swerve because i was like you know Brian Cage was the issue right now we got rid of him you know and then you can just have Nana saying hey we need you you know like so they can be the babyface force against the elite and you know with Death Riders but who knows but Gates of Agony

They show them that they're the kind of team they should invest their stock in. They're a great team. Bishop Kahn, when you look at him, he's got a Roman wrestler. Roman, Roman Reign-esque kind of aura. He looks like a superstar. He's got a million dollar body, the handsome guy, nice flowing locks. He could be a superstar. They can do a lot more with him. And, you know, Leona is a Samoan. They know how to get down.

And then afterwards, MJF came out for a promo saying that I very much enjoyed the start. because the last few weeks have been MJF is trying to get into the Hurt Syndicate so he's trying to appeal to them and the MVP's on board and he thinks he can kind of get into Shelton And he says, look, MVP and Shelton Benjamin get this, but some people, I guess, are slow learners.

And Bobby Lashley immediately goes for him. I didn't say his name. I didn't say your name. I didn't say your name. I'm not talking about you. And then Boston, did I say his name? No. And I was like, oh, no. Boston's hooked.

yeah um and then he said you know what i've also i've got some names in the back and they're going to come out now they play the hurt syndicates music and some lovely ladies walk down to the ring and i've written here well this is very attitude era and uh mvp is like look it's a vote It's like, hey, this is a present for you. You get to party with all of these beautiful women that I have provided for. And MVP gives the thumbs up.

And Shelton Benjamin's like, I need more time. Yeah, that was funny. Yeah, I need more time. And I was like, oh, do you want my watch? I can give you my watch as well. It's the ladies and the watch. It's a watch and ladies, a watch and women. You know, you can party and you can check what time it is before you've got to go home to your wife and child. I don't know, I assume, I actually don't know. I mean, a hell of a...

No, he does have a child, but I don't know if he's still the mother, but yeah. Yeah, and then he gives him the watch as well. And Shelton Benjamin looks like he's going to do it. Oh, thumbs down. Still has not done enough to convince the Hurt Business to let him into the group. And MJF's like, hey, you know what? Keep the watch.

Keep the women. And when I join the Hurt Syndicate, there'll be more watches and more women. And he's like, yeah, what do they call you, Bobby Lashley? They call you the Almighty? Well, do you know what? I always get one. And yeah, later on, Alicia would try to interview the Hurt Syndicate and MVP told Bobby that you're having an emotional reaction to this, not a business reaction to this. We can use Max to get what we want. And when the moment he steps out of line comes...

We can't hurt people. No, but he hesitated. He did say like... you know what, let's not go too far into the weeds of things. So the segment reminded me of an infamous Bobby Lashley and MVP segment when MVP did do the same thing when he brought out a bunch of women. for bobby lashley to celebrate with that was a thing

And I was like, I wonder if MJF did do research that MVP said to do, you know, do you know who you're selling to, you know, like do you research on that? Lashley liked the women on Raw. This time he was like, I'm not feeling it. But there's also that unease because online, as you know, notoriously online, Sayin Yangi was exploring, reading the comments. Certain people are not happy that in this day and age, the post.

Vince McMahon lawsuit world. We have a guy bargaining with women because a certain wrestler did that during contract negotiation for a certain wrestler. Allegedly. Allegedly. Yes. Allegedly. Allegedly. Allegedly. Allegedly.

I forgot that used to be my bit. Yeah, allegedly. Allegedly, they bargained. So yeah, some people are saying that it's... i got the humor of it but obviously someone if someone thinks too deeply there is something to be offended about it it's like he's mjf is using women as a bargaining chip keep the women like a property yeah so there's that aspect of it there is that aspect of it for me it just felt so passe

I think that's where I took more issue with this. Like, of course there is the gender politics fiddle, which I'm not a massive fan of, but for me, it just felt like a passé thing. a really old school angle but old old school where i was like hey do you know what you can get women to party with and hey you can have a nice watch and i was like i feel like we're past We've grown up as a culture. And this felt quite reduc-

It did, but it fits. I know people are going to be annoyed, but they'll be like, you're doing the whole thing where you're forgiving it because it's a heel. Because I never used to do it with MJF. I used to be one of those people where we're like, well, you chuck a cup of water at a kid. That's not a good heel behavior.

he's being a heel in this he's got no morals MJF and morals they just don't go together so in line with his character where he feels like anyone could be used by him because mjf is a user so it makes sense that he's notorious even though online tongue-in-cheek he's like i support you know sex workers and then someone was like

This is in bad taste. You know what I'm saying? So, yeah, it's in line with his character. They're going to keep this going. Shelton is kind of buckling. But it'd be funny to see how they get through Lashley. Yeah, well, that's going to be it. What is going to be the breakthrough moment for him?

So, I mean, yeah, I wasn't offended by... and i think that some people can be quite looking to be offended by these sorts of things and like i'm i'm not one of those people i just thought that the segment was just you know I'm past this sort of thing. I am not entertained by this sort of heel.

I can't really speak on it because it doesn't affect me in that manner. So if there is some females that are affected by it, it's understandable. But yeah, like I say, you can see the fun side of it. You can also see the serious side of it. That's why I mentioned it, just to be like, it is that aspect that it could be. seen in a weird lens, allegedly. Yeah, just for reference as well, if you were offended by it, then you are not wrong to be offended.

Yes, but don't watch it. I'm just kidding. Yeah, I understand. And the last thing to talk about from the Owen Hart tournament was a match I was very, very excited to see because they had a killer match last year and were part of an incredible triple threat as well. It was Will Ospreay versus Konosuke Takeshita and... Boy, howdy. Is that chat we had earlier? I don't think these two lads know how to have a bad match. And they had a brilliant match here.

If you've seen a match, you say f*** as well. Oh man, it's so good though. It was f***ing incredible. It was so good. I was going to make a comment that they can sleepwalk through their match and it'll still be great. But no, they didn't sleepwalk through it. Especially... doing the midway close to the second half of the stretch.

they were just going it's like dropping nuclear bombs in each other left right and center they were hitting big moves they're hitting each other's moves oh man like with this striking exchange they got into and love it they were putting over and i think they did a great job of this on commentary and callus was a key He's so damn good at what he does. But Don Callis said, I would give Will Ospreay, if it was a striking exchange between kicks, it's Will all day long.

But if you get in there and you have a striking exchange with forearms with Takeshi, he's going to win. And they then did that sequence where it was Will was trying to give elbow strikes. Takeshi just shrugged them off and he would... wallop Will and send him around and then Will's like I need to change this up and he starts going for the kicks because that's what he knows that is that's what his strength is

i thought this was just so so great and then yeah you get into the secrets where they're like hitting each other's moves will hits raging fire which was just so so great but the thing i loved about this and a live crowd for this incredible match. Boston. B. Will is such a master. of making his moves feel special, that it makes you believe that if he hits it, that is the end of the match. You know, people can say all they want. Oh, people kick out of Will's moves too much.

He hits those moves. The crowd believe that's in the match. He hit the Hidden Blade and people thought that was it. He hit the Styles Clash and people thought that was it because he has been finishing matches with the Styles Clash as of late. And so when Takeshi kicks out of both those things, the crowd are even more amped up. And he finally had, it felt like he was throwing his entire arsenal at Takeshi because that's all, the only thing he had left to put him down.

Yeah. And then you had to catch to keep coming back, kept coming back.

kicked out of one and then you got Osprey kicking out of one then you got Takesha kicking out of one then you got another Hidden Blade and then all of a sudden you've got Stormbreaker Old Stormy haven't seen him use that as a finisher in a while in terms of like finishing people off he had to go to it because nothing else was working he had to bust out storm break tiger driver but still yeah yeah man it was just it was so so good i thought tikesh did you know i could put over will

all day long because you know we should always be putting over well off Take nothing away from Tekestra in this, though. because that boy just cannot put a foot wrong when he's in that ring. He is a world beater. The presentation of Takeshi right now, they should not slow down on the gas. They should go all the way. Because like you said, he is primed and ready to be a world champion.

And I look forward to the day that happened. A heel Takeshi's world champion with Don Callis' mouthpiece. Chef's kiss. Yeah, I thought this was a spectacular match. Go out of your way to see it if you haven't already. I hope...

that this will i mean we're in such a strong era of wrestling that there's every chance that you come to the end of your awards and this is going to fall down the pecking order because it was on tv yeah but i hope that this is within people's minds when we get into the end of the year

you know what now that you said that i should start doing like a journal or something like on my phone a note on my phone matches i like that's what i've got i every time i see one i'm like okay i would say that is a perfect match I write it down on a list where I'm like, I think that will be in my conversation towards the end of the...

match of the year. That's smart. That's a tip right there. I loved this match. Yeah. Go out of your way to see if you haven't already. Someone in the chat said they were there live for it. Woo! Lucky, lucky. So you are. We have a poll up. Let us know what you thought of this show. Thumbs up, thumbs down, thumbs in the middle. We'll be revealing those results very, very soon. We do have to shout out some very special people at patreon.com forward slash WrestleTalk first, however.

If you head on over to patreon.com forward slash WrestleTalk right now, you can get our review of WrestleMania 32, which is... such a long wrestling show and we do quite a long podcast diving into it match by match segment by segment go over there and check that out now people are really really enjoying it and you've got the full series then of our rock versus cena run of pay-per-views And we're starting next month our next series, which is looking at the next.

and the rise and fall of the Nexus in 2020. we are starting with the raw where they debut and on patreon we're reviewing money in the bank 2010 so patreon.com forward slash rest talk get some more bonus stuff right Now. And if you want to get your name read out in the air like these fine folks, you can do that as well. Like these people. Manipulating Maniumaria. The needs of the Maniconish outweigh the needs of the few. Greater than great. Master Nate.

Max, Kurt, Warlander, Warland. The Batsman, Nathan Batty. Probably better than Kyle, Philip O'Reilly. The man who wears the gold, the man recognized by SWAT Nation International as the 24-7 champion, our legend. Mr. Moneybags Rich Holt Daylight Robbery Rob James Beep Boop and Rob Steedley The Roller Coaster Robert Acoaster Death The Farm General Roman Beatrice.

head on over to patreon.com forward slash rest talk because you can join our hall of fame and that is the class for the 17th of april 2025 it's the proper hall of fame at the wwe hall of fame tomorrow night I do not. care cause it's on so late and actually you know if you want to be talking about the hall of fame tomorrow's survival series over on parts for unknown requires us to name every entrant every inductee into the WWE hall of

fame. I should have been cool for that one, because I can do that one. Yeah, I mean, I'm not going to say, but I think I had a pretty good performance on that episode. There you go. There you go. The moment you say... who's not in the hall of fame raven honestly i mean the ones so there is one name that i said that is not in the hall of fame and i am that they are not in the Hall of Fame. Cyndi Lauper still shocks me.

Yeah, that's actually also quite surprising. Yeah, she kick-started Rockin' Wrestling. She's the reason why. Captain Lou Urbano should get cases of champagne when he was alive. Right? You just showed me a face of someone that's not in the Hall of Fame. How is he not in the Hall of Fame? As that character. Yeah, that character. He's there as a tag team. Yes. But he's not there as that character. But then again, I see people poo-pooing that character. Yeah, I know, but it's WWE.

Like Coco Beware's in the Hall of Fame. They put anyone in the Hall of Fame. Hey, Coco Beware was good in Memphis. He's got a great brain buster and a great drum kick. Anyone's in the Hall of Fame. Kid Rock's in the Hall of Fame. And Cyndi Lauper is not. She kick-started this thing.

anyways that's tomorrow over on uh on parts fun now the new episode of survival series we're back this weekend as well because it's wrestlemania this weekend we'll be doing live reactions to wrestlemania here from the studio it'll be myself The returning Dan Layton here for both Saturday and Sunday. But for now, Wrestle.com forward slash support will do your final ultra chats here. Jared Hazelwood here said, I think I heard the watch and the women that MJF offered is supposed to be a reference to the biblical devil offering gold and physical pleasure for a deal.

Someone's been going to Bible studies. I did not. I once got one of my... homework assignments for re um i don't know what the word is disqualified i guess you just she refused to give me a mark for You got a you. I guess it was a you, more or less. You just refused to give me a mark for it because we had to come up with our own holiday. And sort of like, you know, what do people do on this holiday? And I was a grunge kid, so I did it in celebration of Kurt Cobain.

And I wasn't allowed that because he took his own life. That's against the Bible. So I got zero marks for it. What? I went to a Nirvana night like 11 years ago at the Macbeth. It was a great evening. kevin here's a quick question double on the things in quite some time right what are the finalists going to do during that time also because you mentioned it i'll be at ukge and the rev pro show on the sunday so hope to see you all there oh man i'll be seeing you certainly at the rev pro show

I'm so excited. I'm going to hope to try and get to the Games Expo this year because I've not been to Games Expo since 2019. And I would like to go again, but it's been a while. That's a while. It's been a while. It's been a while. And Nick Corvello here said, to answer the question, what are they going to do in the time between now and Double or Nothing? Wrestle. Yeah, they are going to wrestle. But yeah, I don't know. I think that's the hook.

Not Taz's hook, but that's going to be what we're going to find out. And Nick Corvello here said, Hey guys, I'm wondering if around Forbidden Door, you could try to get the outrunners for some appearances so that Turbo Jack could be reunited with his cousin Turbo Floyd. I need to hear Turbo Jack, you son of a bee, and get the Eric Hand Clasper. The Epic Hand Clasper should say.
