Hello there everyone, it's Luke Owen here. If you enjoy this WrestleTalk audio content and you thought to yourself, hey, I really wish I could hear the WrestleTalk news in audio content, well now you can! If you search for the WrestleTalk network in your podcast catcher, you can hear... the daily WrestleTalk News in audio form. Oh, there was no transition there. Let me go fix that. You crack on. Are we live? Yeah, yeah, here we go. Well, I was going to say...
Do you want the truth? You can't handle our truth. I was also going to say, you know, you've thrown me now. We're live, pal. That one tiny transition not working has crumbled me. It gives you that extra second to think. Do you want me to throw the countdown back up? Yeah, take it back up. How do pirates collectively refer to their version of objective reality? I don't know. How do pirates refer to their version of a collected reality? R-Truth! I filled that up in 10 seconds.
Don't think it shows. Hello. Welcome, everybody. I'm Oli Davis. I'm joined by Luke Owen DAD. Welcome to the WWE Raw Review on the WrestleTalk Podcast. We're here every Tuesday and Friday and this week, Sunday as well. because we've got money in the bank. So please press the thumbs up and give us a subscribe wherever you're consuming this in your eyes or your ears, be it Spotify, Tout, YouTube, everyone's favorite.
iTunes and leave a comment down below with what you thought of this episode of Monday Night Raw or just vent about them releasing our truth and sending your chat gables to wrestletalk.com forward slash support or read out every single one. over five us dollars we're not really talking as our main topic about a segment that happened on raw specifically we're more talking about the fan reaction
on this episode to R-Truth being released the day previously. Well, not technically released. No. His contract is not being renewed. Yeah. So during the opening segment, and I believe during the opening match as well, the women's three-way. Yeah, the women's three-way.
where i heard it most i would say chance of we want truth there have been reports that have come out afterwards from the live crowd that there were more chance for our truth after the show went off the air and even cm punk addressed those chance as well which we'll get into a little bit ria rip
posted a photo of herself before the show wearing r-truth merchandise and then on the show was not wearing r-truth merchandise instead was just stood there in her red sports bra and a few people said like i think she might have been told to take that t-shirt off and That's just what she had on underneath. But I've been to wrestling shows before. They tend to have...
quite a bit of merch lying around. It's like she said, I either wear this R-Truth top or I wear nothing at all. I'm just going to wear my sports bra. It could just be a case of she walked up. to go we're going live in five seconds they hadn't got the transition set up on the obs and they were like oh no you're wearing that t-shirt
Get it off now. You're on screen with Stephanie Vacker. That's the thing we want people to focus on, not the fact that you're wearing R-Truth merchandise after we've decided not to renew his contract. So I suppose the question is, I... what's been your reaction I'm trying to formulate the question in my head what has been your reaction
to the reaction to the news. Interesting. So let's really go meta. Let's not even talk about the ethics of the decision because my feeling on the R-Truth release is... there will be a natural turnover of talent. I think it's a real shame that he wasn't let... given an opportunity to have a final storyline or a time of match. And there's quite a lot of storyline waste there as well because R-Truth could have had that big send-off if the Saturday night's main event had his career on the line.
yeah absolutely yeah or even just i i thought he'd be there for life Like I thought he would just be there once he's decided to hang up the boots, which will probably be in like, I don't know, 30 years time, given how he doesn't age. Well, he time travels. Yeah, I suppose. Yeah. And once he decided to hang up the boots, he just transitioned into a backstage role, you know, and just like become a producer or.
trainer or something like that but that's not to say that that can't still happen not everyone becomes a producer not everyone has the skill set to become a producer i've never heard anything about r-truth agent team matches very well liked and beloved backstage but
maybe that's not the path for everyone. I always saw him more long-term as probably a guy who would transition to an ambassador contract and he'd come in and do the sort of cameos and spots in that way. But I think it is... a cruel end to what has been a long and beloved run in wwe from one of what sounds like one of the nicer people who who's ever worked there but the reaction to the reaction
It's interesting because loads of people have been released this year. Some injured. Personally, I think that's worse, ethically. And you've had big names as well, like Braun Strowman, even though he was in the middle of a push. Sonya Deville, who... And again, someone who's been there through thick and thin. Shayna Baszler, who you think is a Triple H person. But I think if R-Truth gets released in the midst of a larger round of cuts, just like three weeks ago.
I don't know if people have the focus to have reacted. this hard to one specific person because it then kind of feels mean to all the other people who got released potentially yeah you and i were talking about this earlier and i my feeling on it is if he'd have got released when things like cora jade and and braunstrom when like
during like that period of time when all those got released if he was amongst those announcements of we're not going to be renewing Tree's contract because I think it was something he developed was one of them was oh Shotzi wasn't it we're just not going to renew your contract so if you develop okay we're not renewing our Tree's contract He was in that mold there.
i think the reaction still would have been pretty much like a oh man our truth love our truth but i think what stings for a lot of people is that literally last week he was in a big program with john cena wwe champion john cena in his final year as a pro
wrestler and that people love that r-truth john cena relationship and that dynamic of he's my childhood hero he's older so if it had happened four weeks ago the reaction would have been like ah missed opportunity didn't do the john cena thing but it happening
one week after the john cena thing feels like it's been more of a gut punch and because he's like i can't even say he was on things carlito was announced on the same day and then uh you know today or yeah yesterday sarah logan was also announced that her contract's not being uh renewed so I think it just felt like more of an emotional gut punch for people because it did sort of feel like it came out of nowhere because one week earlier he was in a program with the world title holder
I think that is a big part of it. I think the bigger driving fuel, the sort of kindling, is the ill will. the tko and wwe and paul avek have just been steadily building up because they're trying to do various things which are heelish tactics. They're raising prices a lot. They are putting on way too many shows. Merchandise is way more expensive. They're cutting people. You know, they're doing a lot of releases this year so far, and they're doing all this aggressive...
counter-programming of AEW. And since last Monday, when AEW, the day after the Double or Nothing pay-per-view, I feel like all of a sudden something switched. It was probably building for quite a long time, but I just saw the... the online narrative, and to be honest, anecdotally in my own gut, this shift from, well, WWE, Paul Levesque, new coat of paint, to actually, you're...
you're the same kind of bully organization you always have been. Yeah. And that's all the kindling. And then R-Truth being released in this way is kind of the match. that has ignited all of it. And I think, you know, it's a very complex thing for a whole crowd to go, your ticket prices are too high and don't do, so that they can latch onto this one thing. But I actually think a lot of the vocal outcry is, of course, for us.
truth, but it is sort of the tip of an iceberg, to mix some metaphors, of a larger ill feeling towards the company i i completely agree with you especially like you got the triple a purchase as well which kind of feels like a very old w usually you know with the tna it's like we form a partnership with these people so someone asked i'm sure myself on five or so it's like when
will WWE buy TNA? And Sean was like, they're not going to buy TNA because that would really go against their anti-trust thing. We're not being a monopoly. We're not buying it. We're working in partnership with these people. So, yeah, I completely agree with you. And it does feel like there was a comment on an episode of the news last week. It might have been on the news that WWE were trying to stop fans swearing at shows.
And someone just left a comment, and I'm going to apologize for whoever who left this comment because I can't remember your name exactly. But they just said, oh, so they're the heel company again.
and it almost felt like they for the last couple of years since 2022 and and vince was ousted and triple h took over as creative i think that summerslam clash of the castle period of time they became the babyface promotion again and all of a sudden it was all of these guys returned and then for the year after that was all these guys from AEW were jumping ship to WWE and AEW having all these issues CM Punk has come back and we're just selling out buildings this any other but over time
coupled with all the other things you've just talked about then high ticket prices much more expensive more shows counter programming the releases it does feel like yeah that tide is shifting and everyone's like all and actually what doesn't help is that the product's not hot at the moment
You know, this episode of Raw was fine. Last week's episode of Raw was fine. DQ finishes everywhere. Interference everywhere. Tag matches on the pay-per-view between people who should be having singles matches. Actually, that's a great point. The John Cena heel run, I think, has not landed as well as we thought it was going to when he turned heel at Elimination Chamber. It has been, like those first few weeks, awesome.
but kind of since wrestlemania that wrestlemania match i really think was the turning point of like actually maybe this isn't all that good at all and it has been sort of steadily declining in like interest and popularity since then all of that combined has now come have been funneled into this one guy who you can equation
We want truth. And that's why we live with this, because there were chance for truth across this show. And, you know, Sean Ross Sapp had that report. It was like, I've never had a backstage reaction like this to a release. We want truth weirdly sort of doubles up as it's like.
a double meaning as well. We want our truth specifically, the wrestler that you just cut. We want the truth of what's going on, Paul Levesque? Yeah. And all the, when you say that we're not counter-programming AEW. I think he comes back. Really? I think they re-sign him. No. I think it's such an easy win. That is such an easy PR win is to re-sign him and bring him back. Oh, wow. What, he runs in on Money in the Bank and he interferes and costs Cody?
I saw someone compare it to Danielson in 2010, which we're covering that period of time through WrestleTalk Extra, looking at that Nexus thing. Where's that? On Patreon.com forward slash WrestleTalk. And here on YouTube as well. You can go watch the Raw where they debut.
review of that raw and then you can go watch the next episode on patreon.com but yeah and we're reviewing summer slam next is it going out next weekend next weekend our review of SummerSlam 2010 goes up and that was Danielson was part of the Nexus then he got fired because he choked Justin Roberts with a tie and he spat on John Cena and they told him to do whatever you want but didn't tell him
He couldn't do those two things. No, he did those two things, and then they fired him for doing the two things. Then they told him he didn't have to do those. But then it felt like it was all of a, well, we're going to fire you now because we've got... angry sponsors and it makes it look like we need to be active and doing something about this but give it 30 days and wait for it to die down and then we'll bring you back maybe it is going to be the case that truth is back in you know 30 days
maybe it's back by summer slam or if they just announced we're bringing him back in a backstage capacity we're bringing him back uh for cameo appearances and i don't see that happening i i also like you know I miss R-Truth as well. I think they did him dirty the way they got rid of him. But I don't think, you know, a 53-year-old wrestler not having their contract renewed. He wasn't cut mid-contract.
That makes sense to me. And then you can agree other things. I just think it should have been handled in a better way. True. Like when I say agree other things, I mean agree a... different kind of working relationship going forward, where it's more media appearances, charity work on behalf of the company, the ambassador role. I don't think there's anything wrong with that at all. I do not see Paul Lavec nor TKO.
who were, I would say, quite historically belligerent of going back on this decision. And I get that it's all really good natured and there were We Want Truth chants on this show, but they did not take over the show. That's very true.
just to go back on what I was saying earlier if it takes off if we get smack down and there's more we want truth chance on raw the following week money in the bank this weekend uh worlds collider that is when i think you might have those conversations of let's bring him back because it's an easy win i
I wouldn't rule it out, but I think that's highly unlikely that there'll be more We Want Truth chants this time next week than there were last night. But yeah, the We Want Truth chants, again, it was just... The first segment, it sounded like three guys who were stood right next to the hard cam. Because I could hear every single... I was like, there's three guys chanting this. And it didn't take off because people...
wanted to listen to the Punk Sami Zayn promo. In the women's match, then it spread around a bit more. I think I heard it again in a later women's match. It's unfortunate that it was mostly the women's matches that got the treatment. And Lyra got the what treatment during her promo segments.
But then after the show went off air, the Where We Want Truth chants, and CM Punk, in a very tongue-in-cheek way, told the fans, How dare you sing someone's name when they're not here? Which is, of course, a joke, because... we all chanted CM Punk's name for about 15 years. Yeah, when he wasn't there. And apparently afterwards he said, think about that one, you'll get it on the way home.
I'm always up before the birds and the kids. Good thing Costa Express is always up too. Early starts are easier with great coffee. And if I grab one for Bob, I might even get some decent company. Large cappuccino for the bloke who's half asleep. Oh, you legend. Now that's a proper coffee. Should kick in Justin Sanford to remember which end of the screwdriver to use. Costa Express. Quality coffee. Every time.

But yeah, should we get into some chat to see what everyone else... thinks yeah why not because i know that people have you know looking at the comments on yesterday's video there are people who are like very very angry and upset at wwe for doing this and i i wonder if you're absolutely banging the banana it is just a case of there's been a sort of mounting discontent between the about the company and this is just the final thing like actually you know what f this
I care about this the most of all the things. Ryan Conger writes, expect more release, non-contract renewals as WWE goes into a cool down after two very hot years. It has been a while since we heard about record breaking gates and attendance. Viewership dips have also...
been a concern the cool down seems to be on the horizon also i wouldn't panic too much in that sense because you are in the post wrestlemania like and they will have data that shows and all of this evidence to show that you have from january through to april
it is hot hot hot hot and then from may through to the following january it is cold cold cold yeah like someone asked like when does wwe have a down season i was like it's between may and december that is when they have their down period also the money that wwe is making is so vast it's not like these are financial decisions really yes what a road dog call them bean counters bean counters uh some guy writes i want truth
to debut in AEW and see Edge, Christian, Lashley, et cetera, and just think all the old guys got sent to NXT. That is such a fun idea of truth. I've seen both of these ideas. Either truth shine up in AEW, thinking it's another play. or going to TNA with the NWA world title thinking he's still the champion or the best one just showing up to WWE I think he's still employed. I think yeah contracted. I think he goes to TNA. I think he'll be at Slammiversary.
and he'll have a match there. What I don't like about the WWE-AEW talent aspect of the war is how WWE will sign some people aggressively to stop them going. to another company like natalia specifically they did not want natalia going to aw because of the owen hart cup participation and what her name her standing next to martha hart would mean with braun stroman
They tie him up for a bit and then they cut him in the middle of the contract when they no longer think he's a flight risk to AEW. It's just that it's a very, very cynical way of doing things. Yeah, it is a little bit, but it's also, you know. There will always be WWE. It's business. It's not even just that it's business. I said this when they stopped us doing watch parties. Very underhandedly so as well. Underhandedly stopped us doing watch parties.
And I remember saying to the time, I was like, it may be a new era, but they will always be WWE. Well, it wasn't to our face. Well, that's it. It was behind our backs. It was underhanded. Yeah. that's all we want we just want Triple H to stab us in the front just tell me you're screwing us over that's all I'm asking but he looks at you and goes I'm not it's not me I'm not doing it
Rafael Garcia writes, well, as sad as it may be, Carlito is still the catalyst for the end of the Judgment Day. The Judgment Den was dark. Never heard it called the Judgment Den. That's what I used to call it. Oh, did you? Sorry. There was no PS5 and there was so much passive aggression you would have thought it was a church potluck. Thanks, Carlito. You did good. It was weird seeing the den without Carlito there.
I don't think it was that weird. I did feel like someone was missing. That's because someone was missing. But I was like, this doesn't feel the same. Kazoo writes, 2023, fans arguing that Triple H good Vince bad. 2025, fans arguing that Triple H TKO bad. Time is a flat circle. Yeah. And there's ebbs and flows and, you know, in 2028, WWE will get hot again and people will defend Paul Levesque no matter...
What sort of business practices does he do? They will always be WWE. When you are hot, you can do nothing wrong. When you are cold, you can do nothing right. And because they are feeling cold at the moment, it may be that they can do nothing right. Well, keep getting in your chats to WrestleTalk.com. forward slash support or read out every single one over five US dollars and go over to our Patreon.
Patreon.com forward slash WrestleTalk. That's how you can support us doing all this. And you get loads of exclusive videos as well. Yeah, YouTube ad revenue sucks. Right, this play-by-play review of Raw, it opened with Seth's crew all showing up, all in their sunglasses, and then we got some sports banter.
Yes, so this is... You want to tiptoe through this? Look, I'm not getting into it because what I have discovered over the, you know... nearly 10 years that you and i have been doing this podcast together for is if you do a british sarcasm way of talking about american sports american sports fans get really upset about it so
I'm just not going to do it this time. Because they get mad upset. That's not what you were telling me about ice hockey. The ice hockey thing that they're talking about here earlier. Well, then what they also say was like, yeah, but you like football and you like soccer. So then CM Punk came out and he also referenced, it was the Indiana Pacers basketball stuff. lost a bet he had to wear the vest of the team he doesn't like i think or the team that
Pat McAfee played for support. No, he was a football player. And this was not a football thing. I believe this was basketball. Just bracing my sphincter for the comments of correction. And CM Punk comes out and he's like, yeah, sports banter. I watch sports as well. He does like his sports. Sports, sports, sports. For about 15 years when he wasn't involved in...
It's all he did was go to sports. And then he goes, but also please watch Raw and SmackDown. Ratings are down at the moment. We're going up against the NBA finals. I was like, yeah, I think you're doing a better job, WWE, promoting the NBA. than you are some of your pay-per-views. There's a basketball lad that comes up later who's had more TV time than a lot of their talent. More TV time than Karrion Kross is getting. CM Punk's promo was he's going to win his third Money in the Bank brief.
and i my head went he's won two and of course he has yeah and then i remembered the brilliant way it's because i only remember one cash in on jeff hardy because the other cash in
No, that was a WWE title. Yeah, it's the first one. The Randy Orton one. No, it was the World Heavy one. He cashed in on Batista, I think. Right. And then they were like... actually we don't think you're the world champion you're you're injured and we're just gonna put the belt on or on jericho and michael's feud instead in the week is that the really weak randy orton punt take yeah on the car um so yeah
Punk says he's going to win his third Money in the Bank briefcase because he's in the qualifier in the main event. And then he'll have to go after either his good friend Jey Uso. They're all friends now. He's a baby face. Or John Cena, the bitch. It was time CM Punk is champion again. Yeah, the bald head bitch. I think Punk said, I want to win a title at the start of the year. You know, it was very much, get out my way, Seth.
I'm done with you. I'm going to win the Rumble to Main Event Mania or win a title. Maybe it was more about Main Eventing Mania, and apparently he's done that now. So now he's focusing on the championship? Apparently he cashed in on Edge. Not Batista. I've misremembered that. Did Batista attack Edge? Is that what I'm thinking of? And then he took advantage of that situation. This is the awkward period of time where we're not good at. Yeah. I feel like Dave was there and he walked past Dave.
Not pinned him. Am I right? Yes, I'm right. Thank you. So then Sami Zayn's music interrupted because he's friends with CM Punk now and Punk slightly sang Sami's entrance theme into his own mic. Yeah, I was like, you know, usually I don't like people coming out to interrupt me with their music, but it's pretty good music, so I'll allow it. You know when someone's trying to be nice and the other person visibly doesn't like them?
Did you get that vibe here? The punk is doing his best. Like, hey, we're friends now. It's cool. Genuinely, even off stage, I want to be your friend. And Sammy's there like... Yeah, sure. I want you to win money. I want you to win money in the bank so much. Because I think Sami Zayn is generally a fantastic actor.
This might be a roll too far for his abilities. Well, look how much he was friends with CM Poggy. Then look how much he was actually friends with Jey Uso later. Yeah. I'll be there in your corner, Jey. Yeah. Every week. Every week. I've got some thoughts on that later. So Sammy is trying to make Punk focus on winning the briefcase to stop Seth winning the briefcase and cashing it in on Jay. And Punk's like...
That's cool. Don't worry about me. It's all good. Seth's never beat me, which he has. He has, yep. I mean, via Roman, but he still won. Yeah. And in a definitive cage match finish. Jesse Ventura loves that finish. What the hell is this? It's still my favourite thing this year. Honestly. That has surpassed Stone Cold Steve Austin running over that woman.
I feel like we all forget Stone Cold Steve Austin hit a woman in a buggy earlier this year. Well, the beautiful thing about that is that we forget that Steve Austin ran over a woman, which also means we forgot that Steve-O nearly ran off the stage before he even got down the ramp at WrestleMania. Bret Hart rolled his... eyes at triple eight is actually the best bit of that show honestly all of this but my favorite thing is jesse burying the finish at saturday night's main event i like
have cycled to work and just started laughing, remembering that happened, listening to a totally unrelated podcast. Anyway, Seth's trying to, but Punk, yeah, Punk isn't focused because he's like, Seth's not a problem. That's sort of the way they were going. And Sammy closed it by saying, next time that we meet, it might be very different. I haven't got a shot at the briefcase. You have, but I might be champion. Yeah.
Then Liv Morgan, Stephanie Vicker and Ivy Nile had a Money in the Bank qualifier. Gee, I wonder who's taking the pin here. Well, obviously Ivy Nile, but I was genuinely unsure who was going to win.
Me too. Only in the sense of, because I had Liv Morgan down in my three count predictions. But then when Stephanie got the video package and the big entrance, I was like, no, it's probably her. It's probably her that's going through. But even then, before then, Roxanne says to Liv, do you want me to interfere? says no. And then Liv walks down the corridor. Eoskai is just waiting there like a sort of...
non-playable character waiting to be activated for their cut scene. It's your Smackdown games and the PS2 where you just run around backstage and just find people just standing there so you can have some stock conversations. And Liv says, I'm coming for your title, which they set up last week as well. So I just thought... I feel like they're building something for Liv. Then Vacker, who's now officially signed on the main roster, they do a full call-up.
special video package and tron entrance like she wasn't on raw three weeks ago that was a different that was nxt champion stephanie backer this is raw superstar stephanie backer very different i just need some more time between the two things well yeah i i think this is a great call-up this is one of those things that the problem with the old black and gold era nxt i think
excuse me, when you look back on it with the benefit of hindsight, and actually not only hindsight because people were saying it at the time, it's because a lot of the guys that were there were people that Vince didn't really like. So you were looking at people like Finn Balor and Samoa Joe and Shinsuke Nakamura and Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens. And you're sort of pointing at each one of them being like, why are you in developmental? Yeah. Why are you not on the main roster?
and in the primary why are you toiling your way down here and shows that aren't making any money when you could be on the main roster making money so You've got the same thing with Stephanie and Julie, and Roxanne's been ready for age at this point, and actually Ricky Saints as well. That's why you didn't put the Lucha Bros down there. You look at these guys like, why are you in developmental? You don't need...
developing you're already made you're already really good at this you just need to learn where the hard camera is and then off you pop well i'll tell you why it's to give them something to do until the main roster has figured out what their creative is But for whatever reason this year, the main roster just called them up without knowing what to do with them. Perez was building a feud with Bayley. Yeah, that was dropped. Why have Perez and Julia as a heel tag act together?
Then they get split up in different directions. Why does Stephanie Vicar, why not just call her up immediately? She's great. I think they're all much better on the main roster. I think it's been super weird and not effective the way they've done this. I'm going to defend the backer one because she then did her little thing where she gets them between her legs and does that.
And that has gotten, you know, and I hate to give this credit. It has gotten over because of Booker T. And his horrific commentary. And great. Now that she's on the main roster, I've got to hear Pat do it instead. So this was a decent match, lots of three-way spots, and a nice story told throughout it as well, which is for Kerr and Liv.
almost getting the win. Liv hit a double co-breaker on them both. It looked like Liv was going to have it won, but Ivy pulls her out of the pin and Vaker hits her SPV on her for the finish. And yeah, she advances. thought it would be Liv so this was a nice surprise it's also one they're telling a story with Liv in that maybe Finn is right and if she had listened to Finn's advice and had Roxanne help her win
then maybe Shura actually would have qualified for Money in the Bank. So it's a good storyline reason for Liv not to qualify. But yeah, one's definitely got the very big presentation. I was like, okay, she's likely going into this match. Yeah, because Liv and the care, and I'd also say CM Punk in the... main opening segment which makes you think he's gonna win the main event and he didn't spoiler i think wwe did a good job of making the finishes to matches unpredictable
I think they've been doing that quite well for a while. Unfortunately, we'll get on to the finishes, which they are not doing well with. Paul Heyman comes up to AJ Styles backstage, wishes him a happy birthday and a gift of information. Concentrate on the IC title. Leave money in the bank to Seth Rollins. AJ said he doesn't respond well to threats and turned him down. Remember when you started two IC title picture humps that you never fulfilled? Do you want to pick one of those back up?
Rusev got a video package. It was on Sheamus because they're feuding right now. He says, Sheamus is a legend. It'll be an honor to take you out. Cool promo. Did you notice there's one shot? of the league of nations i'm so excited my boys the league of dorks there's rusev there sheamus is next to him that's why they've used this image and then there's there's wade barrett i can see half of his head
Can't see anyone else. No, I can't see any former AAA mega champions in this picture. So the Wrestle Observer put up this report last Friday that actually Del Rio's on great terms with a bunch of people. maybe he's coming back in he might be on terms with a bunch of people not wwe though i just the way wwe have gone out of their way
to cut Del Rio out of existence, to change a champion so he can't even be on their show. After that company spent the last two years building the company around him. I... I think it's safe to say Del Rio is not coming back to TKO. Me too. Cuts to Sheamus. He's put an overall for Academy, which now includes Natalia.
Well, yeah, she's been tagging with Maxine. Yeah, but does that make part of Alpha Academy? No, she's just tagging with Maxine, but that means they hang out together. And he puts them over for having heart. It was rubbish. But then Kathy Kelly walks in, asks about Rusev, and Sheamus had a good line. Rusev day is but 24 hours. Sheamus bangs for years. It's been put in on bangers. And then I bully bullies.
It's a good line. Judgment Day took on the War Raiders. New Day on commentary again. They got thrown out eventually because they were going to interfere when Ivar sort of goaded them in some stuff. But then Roxanne distracted Ivar when he was about to win. Ivar was brilliant, by the way, as usual. Letting Finn Balor get the win. Putting over that thing you said earlier.
that Roxanne Perez can be a difference maker. She actually is a bit of a difference maker for the judgment day. Like Dom screwed up last week. Liv's not listening. So she lost last week and Raquel lost this week. But Finn is actually getting the benefits of this Roxanne partnership and relationship because she actually is being a difference maker in his matches. Not last week, obviously, but overall in matches. I felt...
I couldn't not believe the amount of crickets, the judgment they came out to. Because they're on TV all the time. Yeah. And they're a popular act. They came out. They're a popular act. They're certainly a focused on act. I'd say they're a popular act. But I was really surprised at the lack of reaction they got. It's Carlino.
All the heat went with Carlito. I guess so. We got a Becky Lynch video package. It was more of a promo. I thought it was very well done. I think Becky's been great. She called Lyra an echo chamber of the morally confused Becky.
is the best thing that ever happened to her. And you'll have to raise my hand, the same hand that will hold you down. I love that line. I mean, the reason you're a double champion is because of me. The reason you had the best match of your career backlash is because of me. This is great, and I love that line. You have to hold up the hand that's going to hold you down. This is brilliant for the IC title. It is. It's making me want to see an IC title match for the women.
Also, it is a much better version of what Jericho was looking to do with the learning tree. That's what this is. This is her leaning into Twitter criticisms of being Becky Hogan. But she's doing it so much better than Jericho did.
I watched the trailer for Happy Gilmore 2 this morning. Oh, because you're all about Tudum at the moment. For the last week and a bit, it is all you have talked about in conversations with me. I just thought it was really interesting. Are you excited for Tudum? Are you going to be watching Tudum? Have you watched the trailers from Tudum? I just thought it was a really interesting way for a company to leech people's IP interest. The first I'd heard of it was through you.
Before we went on air, we didn't have time, but I still showed you the trailer of Frankenstein from Tudum. Which is good. And it was on my list of things to catch up on. I was talking about it. So I was like, I'm going to watch that. You were like, no, we're going to watch it. I know we're going live in two minutes. But don't worry about the transitions. I've watched this trailer now. So if we could just press the transition, but every transition is the full Frankenstein trailer.
That would be good. Yeah, Becky's in that trailer. She's in the movie. Very briefly you see her. But MJF's all over her. Yeah, well, he plays Sandler's son. Yeah. Yeah, I can't wait. It better be good. It better be a good one, Sandler. Well, yeah, outside of the betting one, the A24 one. No, you can't count that as a Sandler movie. That's what I'm saying. Outside of that one, when was the last time that Sandler didn't let you down with a Sandler movie?
Click is brilliant. But that's like 2006, 2007. I was at uni when that came out. Man, I cried. And I still cry when I see that movie, even though it's not acceptable for men to cry. And I hate myself. Yeah, I thought we decided that it's okay for men to cry, just not in public. Yeah, but where does the cinema fall?
Oh, good point. It's in darkness. I didn't think you'd saw it at the cinema. I saw it at the cinema, yeah. I've got a Subway and I'd it in there. Me and Kettleman Dan. Oh, you ate a Subway in the cinema? That was my and Kettleman Dan's thing would do at uni. Hideous. We get a couple of footlongs. In the cinema? Chuck it in the rucksack. Odeon in Kingston. In the bag as well. That's getting all mushed up in your rucksack. And nom it down. No one can hear you eat a subway. No, but they can.
and smell it. You stinky prick. You're bringing a subway into a cinema. Did you know that the women's... Have you no shame? Did you know that the women's briefcase has 100% cash-in success? But they never hold on to it long enough. And the men's had 76. Yeah. That was a title card we got for information. Now Kathy Kelly is interviewing Stephanie Vicar, and this is when Ria walks in and shakes her hand when Ria is wearing red.
Well, she was wearing a t-shirt then. Then she wasn't. It's just weird. Because black and purple. Those are the Judgment Day colors. It's not in the Judgment Day. Yeah, but she... You're like Lillian Garcia. Was it Lillian Garcia that introduced her? Was it the Judgment Day? Was it Michael... Michael Cole corrected whoever it was. She's...
But she wears a lot of black. She never wears colour. Might have been Adam Pearce. Is what I'm saying. Like, mark my words, if we don't get this in check in three months' time, it's another Jamie hater. Too much colour on the gear. Lyra Valkyria is now in the ring. And I was like, I don't think Lyra doing an in-ring live promo.
is the best use of her by herself. They have done it, you know, a handful of times now. And I don't think any of them were great. And then Becky comes out, and it usually comes with a very, very good segment. I thought it was just Lyra going to be in the ring.
So I was like, oh, my God, you should have done Lyra pre-produced and Becky in the ring. But then, thankfully, she almost immediately calls out Becky saying, I know you're back there, even though you just got a video promo earlier. Stop being a coward.
And yeah, Becky came down, they went back and forth. The crowd wanted Lyra, which I thought was unfair because she was... giving a decent performance she wasn't even leaving them pause as much to do it i think they were getting it in she was leaving enough of a gap like there's a cadence that's what john cena pointed out right when he did his one of his first heel promos that you do this
and then you do the chant so i think she kind of almost set them up to do it but at the same time i think it's massively unfair and i cannot believe we are in 2025 and we're still having the watchers uh lyra wanted to fight right now becky stormed off And Lyra chased after her for a brawl. Yeah, I totally find serviceable go-home segments. Penta got a promo pre-recorded in actual flames. The flames are behind him. They're in front of him. And he said, and I've written, that was cool.
which is technically incorrect. And he said, money in the bank is my destiny. Got a bit of lunch repeating on myself. Jey Uso and Sami Zayn. You want to talk about the basketball guy? Oh, was that? I didn't put a single note for it. Yeah, they show basketball footage. There's exclusive WWE merch for one of the players. Yeah. He does this. Can someone explain that to us in the chat?
He does, like, a strangle celebration pose. Yeah, you can't do that in TNA. I don't get that. TNA, they stop people from doing their... Oh, yes, any sort of naughty things. So next up was this tag match between Jey Uso and Sami Zayn. They got the full-on YI entrance, which I actually watched because Sami Zayn was there.
And in the stuff that was cut in from Netflix, if you're on the higher tier and you don't have to get the ad breaks, Sammy was doing... There is not a dancer on this planet like Sammy Zane. Remember during the pandemic when he was doing his mad dancing there and then you released that t-shirt that was all the...
drawings of the dancers that he was doing he's just he's a magical dancer he's got moves yes uh and then it was time for the bronze entrance bronson reed and bron breaker and bronze security and It was really cool. It was. They've got a mixed theme now. Because so far we've only ever seen them come out with Seth Rollins. Usually Seth Rollins' music. But here, all the lights go off and you just hear, with no music, ladies and gentlemen.
I think, does it have My Name is Paul Heyman as well? I don't know, I can't remember. But it was just that one line from Paul Heyman, and then Bronson Reed's music hits. Paul Heyman walks out with Bronson Reed. Then Brom Breaker's music hits and he comes out and the themes merge. And I watched them on stage and I thought, these guys are cooler without Seth.
they've also got matching gear more or less as well, which is just black singlets, but it's, it makes them look like a unit. And yeah, like with your Bronson's read music and then just like a slow fading of the siren.
that bron breakers coming out next and then you've got this merch theme they generally did look like an awesome unit together yeah but but like hayman bronson and bron all together i kind of like that act more than them three with seth there's an argument with the bron with the hayman seth thing of it's it hayman works with punk and hayman works with lesnar because they were paul hayman guys
It didn't work with Curtis Axel and Ryback because they were just put with Paul Heyman and called Paul Heyman guys. And Cesaro. And I think Cesaro actually falls into this category as well. but so it's i kind of get that vibe a little bit with this group sometimes it's just like you are just and actually work with roman
Because they've got such ties, like Heyman's got so many ties to the Anabamnian stuff. So it works in that aspect. But here it does feel like you are just a manager of a heal faction that you put together on 2K25. Yeah, but what a cool faction. But it is a cool faction. Cannot deny that. I hate myself for this match because I really liked Bronson Reed and Brombreaker's look.
I love Sami Zayn when he wrestles. I was like, Jey Uso's the world heavyweight champion. He's got the big title defense next week. Who's going to lose? How are they going? Of course it was a DQ finish. I was so annoyed with this. Me too. I don't know how long they wrestled, but under 10 minutes, I think. I think there was an outbreak in there. But it's starting to get good. Bron catches a Sammy dive.
Jay dives outside to take them all out, and then when everyone's on the ground, Seth just runs out of nowhere, stomp, DQ. Wasn't even to save someone from getting pinned. I guess it's better to happen there than even later on.
Because at least, you know, you're not blue balling me completely. But then it doesn't make any sense. Because why is Seth doing that now? There is still plenty of time and opportunity for the bronze to get the win. It's because they said it was all, you know, they had the plan up here. um because they said wouldn't i uh seth said to braun we've got him right where we want him
So it was the plan all along. Do you remember when Dana Brooke and Mandy Rose, I think, just backed up the ramp and lost via Countdown? And acted like they won. because it was mind games or something like that. Yeah, you hear that Bron and Bron lost this match, but it's like, ha ha ha, we got them right where we want them, guys. I'd be pretty annoyed. This is their first, on paper, they have lost here.
Not that that matters in WWE. I got a bit sick with the constant interference and DQ finishes. Interference, whatever. But the DQ finish here, I was like, don't give me the match then. well the thing with me with interference is yeah it is a little bit whatever the reason why i don't feel it is whatever is because it it's every match yeah
Like, it's what, like, the next match has interference, the main event has interference, this had interference, the match beforehand had interference, it was only the opening match that didn't, so four of the five matches had interference, and one of them was a DQ finish. Last week was the same story, four of the fives, like, interference.
it just becomes an annoyance after one it is groan inducing and like you i got annoyed at myself for not seeing the big glaring neon sign that was like this is not going to have a finish because i really got into this The story of the first match was that it should have had interviews with Perez. So what they do, particularly with the more... high profile matches is they try to make you forget.
that you wanted a finish and they did a big schmoz and it was a really good brawl punk came out as well thankfully to save sammy because they are about to do a bronson reed tsunami off the top rope through the announcer's table outside. With all due respect, he was never going to make that joke. Brian Alvarez said, he isn't making that with a jetpack on.
That is Mick Foley at WrestleMania 2000, who floated like a stone when he hit that announcement, dislocated his hip. The only thing I can think of is that the sort of fallout radius of the blast would be so great.
and he would still be dead. But then, yeah, they sort of backed off. I thought this would then go straight into Punk's match. They did something similar last week, but... that isn't what happened everyone's sort of we went backstage for a bunch of other segments it it kind of brings to mind and again like i don't i'm not trying to just do this as cheap plugs for the the period of time that we're reviewing for the latest series of wrestle talk extra
But we are looking at this 2010 period and we were talking about in the last episode that WWE are in this mode in 2010 of just like, oh no, we can't just rely on Cena and Orton all the time. We need to build a load of new stars. So there's this like... two three month period where they're like new style new style new style we're going to be building a lot of these people up but they're also
unwilling to pull the trigger on a lot of them, so they never let them win. They always just put them in DQs or no contest. We're going to put you in there. Sheamus is a good example of this, actually. Sheamus, in the period of time we're watching, he's the WWE champion, but he's never given those big wins. we can't have him beat Randy Orton because he's Randy Orton so okay so are you trying to make a new start or are you not
And it's kind of the same thing here. It's like, well, we've got to put them in the big match, but we don't want to beat Jey Uso. We can't have them beat Jey and Sami. And we can't have Jey and Sami beat these guys. So it's a DQ then. and so great so no one gets over them i feel like they could have beat sammy they could have done but they're too they're not willing to pull the trigger on these things it's their first
Bron Breaker has probably lost more matches since he joined this group via DQ than when he wasn't in this group. Oh, but he's learning. We're losers. Liv, speaking of losers, the clubhouse with Judgment Day. Liv tells Finn that she knows exactly what he's doing and Finn's trying to laugh at all. No, Roxanne Perez, maybe she got a bit familiar with Dom with the shoulder rubs, but she's a good girl.
you should let her help Raquel Rodriguez and her upcoming match. And it was like, no, no Perez help. And then Dom apologizes to Finn for that. sort of chair the botched interference from last week that might have been intentional. And Finn went, don't worry, it's all water under the bridge. And he slapped the IC title.
A bit too tensely. Well, I would say he slapped it as hard as he could to let Dom know that this is what I'm coming for. Yeah. I want something to move on. I know you've been saying this for a while. For two years I've been saying this. I said this in my news, but Pulavec can't even split Judgment Day up even when he's released Carlita. He is so resistant to anything.
ever actually paying off. But even though he knew Carlito's contract is expiring and they're not going to renew it as a company, and he's still got two weeks, that they didn't blame stuff on him. and kick Carlito out. No. Usually... He's just stopped being in the club. You write them out of the storyline. There's no Carlito here. Tom had a Carlito t-shirt on, I believe. Yeah.
But yeah, no reference to Carlito, no reference to R-Truth either throughout the night apart from the crowd. Someone pointed out the Austin Beery, Grayson Waller non-split that they've been doing. we've been sort of you know oh man i've been teasing this for so long someone pointed out they were teasing dissension before they won the tag titles of last year's wrestlemania
Kyrie Sane had a match against Raquel Rodriguez next, and this was where Liv was like, I'll interfere and help Raquel win. But, you know, Sky, who she'd annoyed earlier, ran down instead, took out Liv Morgan, which let... Kairi's saying get the win over Raquel. Kairi's not looked great in her matches since. I feel like they're quite sloppy and skew-iff, and I don't tend to pick up on that. So if I'm picking up on it, it must be quite ropey.
I got a bit of an enjoyment out of this match, but that's only because my kid came into the office and she watched it with me. And I was like, what are they trying to do? Who's that? And then she was obsessed with one of them throwing the other one over the top rope. She was like, are they trying to throw them over the fence? Oh, wow. And I was like... Over the fence? Yeah, she was like, are they trying to throw them over the fence? So this is like...
the first time I've watched like a match with my kids when she was like been very cognizant of what was on the screen and she seemed to quite like, you know, she was kind of taken by it. So because of that, I was like, match of the night. I hope that doesn't turn out to be her Melina and Alicia Fox in years. What's your favorite match? Oh, my God. Kairi Sane, Raquel Rodriguez. Second of June, Monday Night Raw 2025.
But again, it proves that maybe Liv should have let Perez interfere. Karrion Kross goes to talk to Sammy as he's been tended to backstage. He says, you're a bad guy. Very good. You don't want to say anything about carry and cross? Push carry and cross? Well, I think that ship has sailed now. I think they had their chance and I think they did not capitalize on it. And I don't think they're that bothered they didn't. Then we get a video package for Jey Uso vs Gunthron next.
weeks raw which i thought they did a really good job building up and they have through you know over the last couple of weeks uh as much as i feel like it is quite repetitive jay is now sitting in his locker room afterwards gunther sits next to him all calm
I'm not here to fight. And he said, look, Jay, you fight with your heart rather than your head, which is going to make this really easy for me because you're going to help your friend tonight in the main event. You're going to help Cody at Money in the Bank.
I'm just coming for you. You've got all these distractions. You're not focused. Yeah. What he essentially said was, sign yourself up for a tag match. And then two nights later, you're defending the title against me. Like, what were you thinking? And then I thought, oh, yeah.
Last year, Seth Rollins had this storyline with Drew McIntyre and they had almost these exact same promo segments of you've signed yourself up for a tag match that you had no business being involved in and then you've got to defend the title against me. The World Heavyweight title. The World Heavyweight title, no less. And you know what happened in that World Heavyweight title match? There was a Money in the Bank cash in. Oh my God. By Seth Rollins.
which is what we think will happen next monday yeah when seth wins the briefcase oh dear and then jay said one word oh no he didn't say i've written this one word three letters tap that's what you said I don't think he said one word, three letters. He did. One word, three letters. Tap. Oh, OK. Well, good. I'm glad. And the main event was CM Punk versus AJ Styles versus El Grande Americano. I look at that.
And I'm like, Americano's the Ivy Nile of the group. No, I look at this and be like, AJ Styles is the Ivy Nile of this group because, and Grani Americano's qualifying for this match. You and I both had him in our three count predictions. I know, but that wasn't, I had him winning.
That was a serious thing. I had him as a serious entrance. I love the start of this match because Punk and AJ throw El Grande Americano out and they're like, let's wrestle, buddy, because they haven't wrestled since 2004. where i looked on cage match they had about seven matches that year bunched them in ring of honor uh was it i i something mid south yeah iwa mid south yeah uh
Yeah, and it wasn't anything spectacular, but it just felt historic and momentous. I like that. Punk goes to tear off Grande's mask, which is usually a heel spot, but it's a face thing here. Punk sold his leg, a bunch of nice three-way spots, GTS. attempts roll throughs into the stars clash and then there was a gts on our
Grande Americano, but Punk, when he made the pin, was pulled out by the bronze. Of course. Jay and Sammy ran down to help, sort of proving Gunther's point there. AJ takes them all out, but when he gets back into the... the ring grande hits the loaded headbutt on aj to win Yeah, as he was going for the phenomenal forearm. And then he legs it and the face is broad with the heels and Seth's group stood tall and we've got a tsunami party to Jey Uso. Yeah, two tsunamis to Jey Uso.
Sort of, again, getting over how much punishment he's taking. So hopefully he's, like, taped up on Saturday. Even more taped up on Monday. Question for you, Oliver Davis. How... has the El Grande Americano story advanced since WrestleMania? Oh, well, he's in the Money in the Bank ladder match now. I'm watching this match, and I'm watching El Grande Americano, and I'm like...
This storyline has not progressed since WrestleMania. It is still in the same... And it was over a month ago, WrestleMania. And even before then, it's not like the storyline was moving at a quick pace. It is just remarkable how slow this thing is going. Oh, and the tastiest beans are on the slow cook setting. I guess so. Overall, I think I gave this 67%, which is pretty low.
You know, we're talking in the low three out of fives out of five. Yeah. Yeah, the low threes out of five. God, that's confusing. But yeah, I didn't think it was kind of a missable show, really. Yeah, considering it's the go-home show. But as people pointed out in the comments before, Triple H doesn't do go-home shows, so we need to stop comparing this to go-home shows because he doesn't do them. Well, have your vote. We've got a vote now in the poll for the YouTube live chat.

It's all up here. It was the plan all along.
Right, Astute Aberration writes, I think the R-Truth reaction is related to something Tempest talked about. The high ticket prices, the ads, the prior releases, they're all a minus one to people's enjoyment. So when something like this happens, whether it be a minus one or a minus 50, to you it hits harder what you were saying earlier this idea of like we've all been kind of grumbling about
ticket prices, the constant ads during Saturday Night's main event, the constant sponsorships during WrestleMania, the Duff WrestleMania main event. It's negative ones. And over time, those negative ones can become something much bigger. In isolation, they're not that... Ads on the WrestleMania thing, not that important. But when you have a lot of them...
all of a sudden it's like, actually, I'm seeing a lot of things I don't like. Blake Whitehouse writes, I know everyone is fully focused on Seth winning Money in the Bank, but do you think people are glancing over a possible solo Sokoa win? Keep in mind, his actual brother is the World Heavyweight...
champion and wwe love bloodline drama that's a good point it's a very good point i had not even considered that his actual brother because he was saying i was like who's the world oh yeah jay hmm it's a good show If there is some kind of draft, which it doesn't feel like there will be now, Solo Sokoa cashing in on Jay, becoming the World Heavyweight Champion, and they tell the Jacob Fatu storyline through that.
And this is a way to get the belt on Fatou, even though he's a US champion. That seems like too much too soon. I think he's going to... be bothered with Fatou going into the SummerSlam. I agree. I also feel if Solo's coming with that World Heavyweight title, then that's an even bigger downgrade for that title than it's ever had previously. I was watching SummerSlam 2010 yesterday in advance of our record.
to review that show. And on Netflix, you just get the most recent poster and it was all the boys in the car. So you're going to have this SummerSlam back-to-back 2024, 2025. Last year, it's all the boys in the car. and now Fatou and Solo will be at loggerheads. I know.
Aziz writes, Hey guys, honestly, I don't see this truth uproar being the straw that breaks the camel's back, but I do feel like it will happen soon if they continue making heelish moves. What do you think it would take for the audience to completely turn into 2014 WWE?
Now that we've had enough time to gauge Punk's return to WWE, I think so far AEW booked him far better. He had multiple feuds and an all-time classic rivalry with MJF. But with WWE aside from Drew, he's been stuck in the Seth Rollins vortex. We need change. What do I think it would take for the audience to completely turn into 2014 WWE? An incredibly hot AEW product. Yeah. Because that's when you're going to really shine a light on.
how much there is a there is a an alternative i still don't see it poe vince was so bad and this is you know while it's frustrating and it takes a long time The Vex booking is just leaps and bounds ahead of Vince's. I should always say with 2014, like you can look at that 2014 fan base, but they stuck around for 2015 and 16 and 17.
and 18 like you know they it's the 2019 audience i think you want to look at that audience that really did feel like they were starting to just drive away from the products which is when aw launched funny enough uh i on the punk stuff yeah
He had that great... That's one of my all-time favourite feuds and the Eddie Kingston match as well. But I think Drew's... The Drew work was phenomenal last year. It was. I think I would... last few months aside that the real world champion stuff aside the collision era punk aside i would say i think i've enjoyed his aew run more than his wwe run thus far but i'd not say that i've not enjoyed his wwe run because that drew feud was awesome
I think to the point that Aziz was just making air, though. He has feuded with Seth Rollins since he came back. And that was in November 2023. A feud he never even wanted. He will likely be in war games with Seth Rollins at Survivor Series 2025.
Ricardo writes, really going to miss our truth. Curious that both of the people that qualified for Money in the Bank will be putting double duty on Saturday between Worlds Collide and Money in the Bank. Also hyped because Roxanne, Julia and Stephanie are on the match. Push them to the moon, rocket emoji.
i don't think you're right ricardo because um el grande americano is only in one match and and chad gable is resting on world's card yeah uh don't know what he's talking about uh renee 36 guys how are your days going doing anything fun Doing this. I'm hanging out with my best friend talking about wrestling. We watched the Best of the Super Juniors final on lunch. We did.
It was all right. It was all right. I enjoyed it. I know that Jey Uso entrance gets skipped, but seek out the Sami Zayn dance. Genuinely one of the funniest, but also really impressive things I've ever seen. Take care. I love it so much. I can watch that on, you remember Vine?
i could watch that on vine yeah i think they call it tick tock now no this is what i want like looping loops uh renee we yes we agree we uh that was one of the few that's the reason why we watched the jayuso entrance this week road senpai good fight happening very entertaining but one of the competitors is a heel faction member i.e his crew will interfere in the match will either cause a dq or win the match for him two predictable are frankly very boring it's been happening for a
ages yeah yeah it's funny as well though because i was pointing this out during like the the uh the glory periods of this company when everyone uh was was really high on it i was pointing all of these things out and people called me out for being too negative about it wow
You just needed R-Truth to get released. I guess that's what it was. Phil Scully, R-Truth treatment and Ms. News feels like an awesome truth storyline. Bring them back and let them be the voice of the online conspiracy fandom. I'm not on board for that. we we did the awesome true thing it lasted longer than it should have done pigeons
I don't think Miz is going. He is in contract year apparently, but no one has heard or been informed that his contract is not being renewed. Weird behaviour though. To unfollow WWE and remove it from his bio.
I just wouldn't put anything into Twitter these days. For all we know, it's just a Twitter glitch. Kevin, this was from last week's Raw review. We missed it, I'm afraid. I didn't really watch the show, so I don't have a lot to say. You guys look like you need a drink, so have a big truck of pints on me. I have zero idea how much a pint costs in the UK, and have yourself a rice time. Well, I bought a pint in a pub, so not last week, the week before.
because I saw this chat last week after we went off air, and it was £7.50. Oh, my pints at Wembley were cheaper. They were £7. I know. I was stunned. Where were you? Buckingham Palace? I was in Kent. I was like, I would expect...
Expect to pay £7.50 for a pint in London if I went to, you know, like a wanky place in central London. Sort of a place that Laurie Blake goes to. Oh, he loves that. Like, if I've gotten there, because I'm not going out for drinks with him tonight, but he is going to a wanky place like that. I would expect to pay $7.50 a pint there, and I would begrudgingly do so. I was in Kent. I was like, this is not what we do out here in the heart of England. The Garden of England.
Carlos Arcos writes, and this is again from last week's Raw Review. He asked about Patreon. I think he's talking about cutscene. which is our other movie project. I am. Finished all the archive while I'm at work. I'm halfway to Craven, then Hunter movie right now. Yeah. I think it actually was WrestleTalk. I think it's all the WrestleTalk archive, WrestleTalk Extra, which is...
hundreds upon hundreds of hours and then he's going through the cutscene archive as well uh oh we've got another cutscene one from real double j just wanted to say thank you to ollie for his honest opinion to my comment to cutscenes man of steel review where i brought up I brought up, where I brought up, it should be, of the Snyder bro defense to why Batman has guns in Batman v Superman in a joking fashion, which, upon reflection, might have come off more flippant than intended.
I didn't take it as a slight thing. I thought it was interesting. I look forward to hearing the review of Batman v Superman to decide whether it is earned or not to a film. I have my own Mark Waid reaction at the cinema to. Yes, that is.
reviewed man of steel which you can go and check out over there and the full version of it's over on the full four hour cut is over on patreon.com forward slash cutscene and this month We're going to be reviewing Batman v Superman Dawn of Justice in our Worst Movie Ever series. You had the idea to do two episodes on it. You want to do one episode and then an episode on the director's cut. I thought the director's cut was longer, but it's not. No, but we are going to do...
I cannot believe we're going to do this. We're going to do Justice League in two parts, which ironically is actually how it was originally announced. We'll do the theatrical cut and then the next month we'll do the four hour long.
It's weird us complaining about a four-hour long thing, but we're doing it for podcasts to be consumed over time, not as a sit-down, one-sitting movie experience. I do not want to jump to this film's defence, but... it is sort of it is kind of cut up into chapters so for you to be like i've watched that bit of the movie i can now go away for five days and i can come back and watch the next chapter of this movie
Well, we do get, and this will be on cutscene, we will review the Superman movie when it's released in cinemas. If we get it here. Oh, don't be ridiculous. Of course it's going to come out. The Schuster estate. You don't need the lawyer of the Schuster estate. It's the same lawyer as the one I was talking about on that Man of Steel episode.
oh really he's just stuck with them stuck with them he's trying to get it blocked being released here in the uk and a few other territories uh back to real double j ps luke in response to last week i like to think i put a lot more thought than pop culture reference now work backwards when trying to make you both laugh otherwise
it would just be something something Bucky O'Hare new medal. But I take on the valid criticism. I've become far too referential. Now let's all go out for some frosty chocolate milkshakes. That's a Simpsons reference. That's a deep cut Simpsons reference. Akihiko Sanada writes, a little off topic, but I'm a patron for WrestleTalk and recently found your channel cutscene. Thank you everybody for showing the movie stuff some love. Wrestling and...
comic book content happened to be my two favorite things at the moment. Any good content, like your Man of Steel review on the cutscene Patreon. Yeah. There's more of the same. There's more of the same. So what have we done? We've done Spider-Man 3. Yep. We've done... Madam Web, which you can watch for full on the YouTube channel. Morbius, Kraven the Hunter. Superman 4, Quest for Peace.
And I think those... And then, of course, Man of Steel. The full version. Batman v Superman Dawn of Justice. And then two Justice Leagues. And then... Maybe The Flash. Not Suicide Squad? No, that's a... I was about to say it's one of the good ones, but no, we can't do the... No, the bad one. Yes, what I mean. The David Ayer one. I was talking about that one, but I would say, actually, upon reflection, I would rather watch David Ayer's Suicide Squad than I would watch The Flash.
I managed to watch all of Suicide Squad. I stomached 40 minutes of the flashball right into a band and ship. Thank you, Seska or Cheska, as a brand new Menberg. What do Menbergs get, Luke? Explain it. They get cool emotes. that are on the screen right now. So she has now got a wonderful green name and she can use fancy new emotes and things like that. And there's some menbugs videos that you can get to. And finally for now, Kevin.
Right, don't have a lot to say about Raw. I'll just shout out Rev Pro. I went to their London show on Sunday and it was great. Had a blast of a weekend with UKG and Rev Pro. Hope you guys have a good week. Jam that jam. Yeah, UK Games Expo. Our no-rolls-barred gang were up there. I hope you went...
see them and say hi. But yeah, for now, that's all we've got time for. Please subscribe and leave a comment and all that stuff. We'll be back on Friday with our Raw review. We've just done the Raw review. We'll actually be back tomorrow with our money in the bank predictions. And we'll be back on Friday going over the AW4 hour long. TV show. Sure have. And whatever else is in the news. That'll be really interesting for me to try and do it in five minutes.
It's like a pay-per-view, isn't it? Yeah. It's difficult. And then we'll be back on Sunday with Money in the Bank. And the overall rating for this episode was mid-50%. Thumbs up 35%. Thumbs down 14%. That's quite a lot, thumbs down. Still very healthy, I think. Yeah, it's growing. Yeah, that mid is growing by the week, I feel. But for now, I've been Oli Davis. This has been Luke Owen. Jam that jam. Jam that jam.
