Once the Marines landed on Peleliu on September 15th, 1944, they were in for a fight. Thousands of rounds and shells rained down on them from the Umurbrogol Mountain range. From unseen obstacles, and hand to hand combat, Peleliu would test the might and strength of the United State Marine Corps.
