Verbing

Verbing is a noun that refers to the practice of using a noun as a verb. 

The Latin word ‘verbum’ (VARE boom) gives us the word verb and also our word of the day ‘verbing.’ It’s been around for about a century. Here’s an example:

Holly’s verbing can get a little confusing at times. The other day she told me was going to go shoeing at the mall and I thought she was going to drive away some bothersome flies from the food court.
