Escaping societal stereotypes poses a challenge. When people readily attach labels to define you, is it deemed offensive if you exhibit strength, courage, outspokenness, wit, and professionalism? Could some attributes be viewed as intimidating? As women of color, why do these stereotypes consistently confine us? How can we liberate ourselves from these societal expectations and images?

So many times we are faced with many tests and trials. It's part of our JOURNEY! GOD in his infinite POWER knows every test, trial, hurt, disappointment, loss, frustration, and other issues we go through in this journey called LIFE! GOD wants us to TRUST him concerning every area of our lives. Proverbs 3:5-6 tells us to Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not to your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And HE shall direct your PATHS!
Perseverance means to continue in a course of action even in the face of difficulty. My eldest brother battled a very bad case of COVID 19 in 2020. Family and friends stood on the Word of GOD and persevered in Prayer and FAITH for his healing. While my brother is yet fighting for total recovery from this invisible enemy, he is determined to empower the community by sharing his testimony of perseverance!
Let's be honest for a moment. We're all experiencing some form of pandemic fatigue! We've witnessed friends and love ones suffer from an invisible enemy. Some have struggled physically, mentally, spiritually, emotionally, and financially. How do we persevere in a pandemic? Is there light at the end of the tunnel? We may not have all the answers for you. However, we believe this storm is passing over!
How do we battle for the souls of our Young Girls? Our young girls are being influenced by ROLE MODELS who lack Morals, Dignity, Respect, Integrity, and VISION! Doing the "WAP" doesn't express Self-Empowerment or BEING WOKE!!! Self-debasing music, lyrics, reality shows will be the detriment of our society if we don't get a handle on this.
There's an old saying, "Many Hands Make Lite Work!" While we celebrate the major accomplishments of past/present women who have made a major contribution to our society. Let us not forget the many societal issues WE yet face as WOMEN! We yet have WORK to DO!!!!
Where do we go from here, Community or Chaos is the question Dr. Martin Luther King Jr asked during his 1967 speech. As a community can we honestly say that we've made any real improvements?
Where there is no VISION, the PEOPLE perish! Our villages lack Pride, Peace, Love, Unity, Self-RESPECT, Morals, and Vision! How do we FIX this narrative?
