Chris Taylor and Paul Agruin are back with us for a second episode! We’re talking about giving home-baked gifts for the holidays; how to make, how to store, how condensation is the enemy of freshness, and the importance of packaging. Their latest book, Fabulous Modern Cookies, is packed with delicious recipes, variations and tips (and even a nifty flavor index).
Paul and Chris are scientists who used their backgrounds to develop logical and reliable recipes that are baker friendly. The couple met through a mutual friend in 2009 and have been baking together ever since. Chris is a full-time epidemiologist and Paul Arguin is a double-board certified MD. Both are self-taught bakers and enjoy winning competitive baking championships. Their first book was, The New Pie: Modern Techniques for the Classic American Dessert.
