You Need an Exit Strategy

The reason WOKF started was because of twenty sixteen, and after Donald Trump won the election six months later, I started WOKF on Serious XM and four years now, years I have been talking about the existential threat that Donald Trump MAGA has posed on our democracy.

I have been screaming into avoid to try and wake as many people up, connect as many people to their consciousness and their power so that we wouldn't make it to the point where we are now, which is that a six to three court stacked with Republicans who have all pledged their allegiance to white supremacy, have decided that they're done with democracy and they're done with this project. It didn't matter that Donald Trump is a serial criminal.

It doesn't matter that Donald Trump is a rapist. It doesn't matter that he is a fraudster or a grifter. It doesn't matter that he is a misogynist, that he's an open racist, that he is an alzamophobe, that he is a homophobe, a transphobe. It doesn't matter because Donald Trump is a useful tool for white supremacy and patriarchy and for those who have fishtistic dreams of ruling under

a theocracy under white Christian nationalism. Justice Alito, as you all know, was caught on tape saying that this is a Christian country and that some people just can't live shoulder to shoulder with others. This has been a plan, folks, in the making, for decades, not just a handful of years.

And while I would love to waste time lamenting about what it is that Democrats should have done could have done when they had the kind of power that they did for two years under Obama, that they could have expanded the courts, that they could have solidified our rights that they could have been keeping an eye on how this party was moving and understanding that things like precedent don't matter. But what matters is actually understanding history. And so we are here at a moment where, folks, I

am not going to lie to you. I am absolutely terrified, and if you are terrified as well, it is with good reason, because we have roughly six months to four years to preserve our democracy. What do I mean by that? That's what my sister said to me the other day. Six months until inauguration, and if, by some grace of God, by some miracle, Joe Biden is able to squeak out another win, that gives us four years because regardless, the Supreme Court has spoken, the Wizard of Oz has been revealed,

and they do not want democracy anymore. It doesn't serve their interests. And so whenever, if it is in six months or four years from now, when a Republican takes office, all bets are off. So the question many of us have woken up today and are asking ourselves, then, now, what what do we do? And I'll tell you what I am planning on doing. What I am doing, I am going to continue to tell people to vote. I'm

going to continue to tell people to organize. I'm going to tell people to get out into the fucking streets in the way that people have done in France and the way they've done in Iran, in the way that they've done it bravely in Russia, knowing that many of them would be incarcerated and never see freedom ever again. There are protesters right now that we're protesting in Iran that are going to be getting the death penalty. This is it. For those that have thought that this was hyperbole.

For those of us that new but still find ourselves in a place of I need you to both be shocked and moving at the same time. All of my listeners, you need an exit strategy. I am not going to play games with you. If you want to stay and fight, I say go with God and thank you. But I will not be on the front lines here. That is not my purpose. That is not what I have planned

to do. And whatever steps that you need to put together in order to get you, your families, your friends to safety, and safety is relative, but it definitely is not inside of this country. Do it. Start to make the phone calls, start to organize, yourselves, because I am telling you, if and when down Trump wins the election, the first one hundred days are going to be the bloodiest, the most outrageous, utterly indefensible one hundred days this country

has ever seen. Project twenty twenty five is already underway. The presidency is just the last piece of the puzzle. The most important piece was a Supreme Court. Were the federal courts, which Mitch McConnell and Donald Trump successfully stole. When and if Donald Trump becomes president of the United States, Project twenty twenty five takes hold on day one. I think that it might have been maybe the day after

his first term that he instituted the muzzle ban. Maybe maybe it was the week they are coming for all of the agencies. They are zeroing out Social Security, they are getting rid of Medicare, they are getting rid of public education. They are shutting down the EPA, They are weaponizing the Department of Justice, and they will start rounding people up. Want to tell you something that started doing a little research because I said, you know, how much

time do we really have? How long did it take Hitler? And I was praying to God that it was, you know, like a year or so to begin putting together the concentration camps and in strategy to kill six million Jews and also millions of other people, because that's the thing that we don't really have numbers on. Six million Jews, give or take probably more, and millions of other people, professors, doctors, students. Hitler was duly elected in January of nineteen thirty three.

The first concentration camp was set up and ready to rock in March of nineteen thirty three, two months. Two months, and the first camp in Germany, which is where political enemies were sent enemies of the state. There will be no trials because there won't need to be. Everything atrocious that has kept you up at night, that has popped you out of a good night's sleep with a cold sweat,

think about that and then make it worse. They're not playing games, and there are no guardrails because rules are for everyone else, not for them. Donald Trump famously told white supremacist to stand back and stand by. All he needs to tell them is ready set go. Oh well, those folks aren't protected by presidential immunity. They don't need to be. They're the president's private militia. So if they start doing what they did in the nineteen fifties, sixties, earlier,

nineteen twenties, earlier, eighteen hundreds. If they start doing what has been in the DNA of this country, which is amassing crazed white mobs to go into black and brown and queer areas and just start shooting in the way that Kyle Rittenhouse did. They're not going to jail. They're not. If there is any type of quote unquote arrest, they'll be released, they'll be pardoned, They'll be fine. And they

know it. This is the starkest episode that I've ever done because I'm not going to raw, rah rah and lie, because I think that it is about time that people have come to Jesus, and that is exactly what that Supreme Court decision was. I will be honest that I did not think that they would give Donald Trump everything that he wanted. In more, I thought it would be a mixed bag, still fucking shitty, but not absolute. So we know that there is no rule of law that

Donald Trump must abide by. He is completely and totally covered. So knowing that it's time that people act now, am I calling for a national boycott? Hell fucking yes, am I calling for people to stop working and head into the streets. Apps fucking lutely, am I calling for marches and protests in every fucking state of this country? Yeah, I am. But I also know it's a little too little,

too late. We can buy ourselves time, absolutely by re electing Joe Biden, and I want us to do that and hold out hope that a second Biden administration that is not concerned with re election will do what is necessary in order to protect our democracy moving forward, and not give a fuck about his legacy or give a fuck about anything, because guess what, he would have one hundred percent immunity as well, which is like, go forth and do what needs to be done to protect the

rest of us, whatever that means. So this is where we are. This is where we find ourselves because America didn't want to vote for a woman but her emails, because they didn't want to heed the stark warnings that Hillary Clinton was telling us in twenty sixteen. She knew then, like I knew then, that Donald Trump was an existential threat to our democracy, that the next president of the United States in twenty sixteen was going to have the

opportunity to control the court and control our future. And that's exactly where we are. We're not getting abortion back, we're not getting affirmative action back, we're not getting voting rights back. If anything, this Supreme Court is just getting warmed up. One of the things that I was thinking about too in Project twenty twenty five, or actually in the right wing blogisphere, not only is it no fault divorce and getting rid of that, it is also birthright

citizenship and getting rid of that. It is also drastically changing the census to eliminate the power of any people that are not white people. If you are wondering what it is like to live inside of a crumbling democracy, this is it. And so the other thing that I posted was that in nineteen thirty three, you know, the courts in Germany instituted the Enabling Act which enabled Hitler to have immunity to do whatever the fuck it is that he wanted. This immunity decision was our enabling Act.

No good, no good could possibly come from it, because it never has not in Germany, not in South ead Africa, not in Hungary, not in Russia, not in Iran, not in any country that ever had some semblance of democracy or has just always had authoritarianism. This was it. I urge all of you to take this with the level and sense of seriousness that it requires. This isn't like the ha ha I'm going to go to Canada and then like, oh, but we all write it out. No,

that's not this time. It truly is not this time. If there is anything that I've been able to impart on you in all of these years, if you've been listening to me from the beginning, this is not that time. The fences are down, all bets are off. So this moment, dear friends, it is about what you can do in these coming months to get yourself organized then together and

that of your friends and your family. I am going to continue to be telling you this until I am officially off MIC, which is coming, and I just want to be very clear about that. Free press is going to be the first thing that goes because anyone that is not perpetuating the talking points of MAGA is going to be labeled as an enemy of the state. And it starts with what exactly what it is net Nyahu

did in Gaza to Al Jazeera. They go in, they collect your shit, they arrest the people, they shut you down. It won't be a shadow ban like that what happens with the algorithms on social media.
