Good morning, keeps, and welcome to Boo Kate f Daily with Meet your Girl Danielle Moody, recording from the Home Bunker. So, folks, there is a hurricane that is readily approaching the state of Florida. And funny enough, you know, if you ask me, Florida has already been devastated. Right, Let's be real about the fact that, yes, the hurricane is headed there and there is going to be devastation. And I don't even know how you pronounced this hurricane's name, A Dahlia. A
Dahlia sounds lovely. There are evacuation orders in place, issued as Adahlia advances toward Florida. And here's what I'll say, folks, Florida. I had to turn off the television because I don't want to hear from rond de Santis. I don't want to hear from him at a fucking debate. I don't want to hear from him in like a clip in an interview that he does trying to make himself seem
like a human. I don't want to hear him try and feign, you know, concern about the citizens of Florida, because we know this man doesn't give a fuck, Right, we know that he actually doesn't care about what happens to anybody that it lives inside of Florida, because if he did, right, his policies would reflect his actual care and empathy. Right, So we know that right now what we see with rond de Santis is a really high
school I don't even want to say high school. Maybe it's like a preschool toddler's performance, right, a recital if you will, to try and seem like he can be presidential and be the person you can rely on. What the fuck are you relying on Ron DeSantis for? Not the goddamn thing? Because here's what people have been saying so far is that the area that the storm is going to hit has not seen a kind of hurricane like this since the nineteen fifties, So some people have
never seen a storm like this in their lifetime. They expect that the storm will rapidly intensify to a Category three. And what do we know about these quote unquote natural disasters, which are really just a series of climate crises that keep unfolding, is that the water is warmer, which means that hurricanes intensify greater. Right because of the warm water and they linger longer over land saturating the places that
they are covering. Now you've been listening to the show, know that one of the major insurers in the state in the country, just like they did in California, are now denying coverage to people in Florida because the state has become too much of a risk for insurance companies
to offer home insurance. Right So, just imagine right now, you're living in Florida, You're about to face a Category three hurricane that you've never faced before in your lifetime, and you've been told a couple of weeks ago that you're no longer going to be eligible for home insurance. I mean, this is the reality that Republicans have set up, that Ron DeSantis and his ilk have set up because you know, to them, I'm sure he thinks of the hurricane is too woke, right like, and we're making much
to do about nothing. And what I find really interesting and I had put this up on the now defunct Twitter and on threads, and I said, you know, can you imagine And here's the thing that I want people to understand. Right Like, as we're having these disasters, these climate crises just intensify whether We're talking about the wildfires in Maui, We're talking about the wildfires in Washington State. We're talking about tornado outbreaks, we're talking about hurricane season.
Everything is being intensified by climate change. And what I said in my tweet this morning, because I woke up and I was thinking to myself, what would happen? What will happen if, in fact, in twenty twenty four, America decides that it hasn't been beaten and bruised enough, so it needs to elect a Republican president. Whether that is a twice impeached, you know, rapist Donald Trump, or whether it is another one of the band of authoritarians that
we saw on the stage in Milwaukee. But I tweeted this and I said, can you imagine any Republican president during a hurricane deciding not to provide FEMA care or emergency funds because the state being impacted didn't vote for them, or allows abortion. I can because it's what Trump did to Puerto Rico. And if you remember, as folks told me in the comments section to California, that he denied California and Puerto Rico aid that they needed after hurricane
I believe it was Maria and Puerto Rico. And after a series of wildfires that happened. Remember when Donald Trump was somehow had become an expert on what needs to happen to underbrush. You just need to rik it, evidently, right, So he went to Puerto Rico through paper towels at people that have lost everything in their lives. Right, and then I don't even know if he bothered to go to California, you know, the leftist state that didn't vote
for him. You say, the thing about what these Republicans are showing us, whether or not they have two percent of polling or forty percent of polling like Donald Trump, what they are showing us is that they do not want a United States of America. Right, when you have Tucker Carlson that is saying to Donald Trump, do you think that we're careening towards a civil war? You know, one that you created? And Donald Trump's response is, well,
there's passion. There's passion, you know, and people feel wronged, you know, and you can feel you can sense, right, you get a taste of the fucking giddiness that is in this man's voice as he's talking about this country potentially being ripped apart because of his parties, cultist fucking lies and conspiracy theories, that he's just hopped up half the country on right, And I don't say half the country, let me say the thirty percent. Nonetheless, those motherfuckers are
armed and dangerous domestic terrorists. So when you hear that, and then you listened in Milwaukee to these other wanna be trump Is fascists, you know that these people are not interested in presiding over the United States of America. They're interested in presiding over the Red States. Essentially, they want to be the neo Confederates, right like, they only want to help and create policies for those people that
are living in Red States. And let me be really fucking honest here, they don't really give a fuck about those people either, right Like. It is the you know, if you can have the lowest white man look down on the highest black man, right like, you can pick his pockets. It's the Lennon B. Johnson quote that I am currently butchering. But it is the reality that they don't want a United States. They don't want to be president of the United States. They want to be president
of the Red States. And so when you have that existing reality when you have as and here is the exact quote that I was trying to pull up. If you can convince right, the lowest white man he's better than the best colored man. He won't notice you're picking his pocket. Hell, give him somebody to look down on, and he'll empty his pockets for you. That's Trumpism, that's
maga dam. That has been white supremacy in this country since forever, since those motherfuckers landed on Plymouth Rock or whatever the fuck they did, right, That's the reality is that it didn't matter who was welcoming them into this non empty land. Rick Perry or Rick Scott, whichever one of the Ricks said that comment about oh there was no one here, right, There was no indigenous population people here in this country, right, like, because no one exists
outside of whiteness. And I got to say to you, folks, it's really what's the word that I'm looking for? It's really dangerous, right, It's really dangerous to live inside of this time and realize that the band of Republican clowns that are vying to be president don't care about a majority of people in this country that think that we're all just these liberal snowflakes, trying to indoctrinate children with empathy,
because that's what we're doing. Right When you think about what the punchback would be to the pedophiles and the groomers and all of the nasty, disgusting rhetoric that they have created that ends up in you know, mass shootings like what we just witnessed in Jacksonville, Florida and in other places. You think to yourself, this is I don't even know. We can't say it's the beginning. It's sure
as fuck is not the end. And I keep thinking about the hundred year War and a person saying this will be over soon, you know what I'm saying, like the person in the one hundred year war that just started, and being like, this won't last forever. Oops. I went back to my clip that I sometimes go back to. I went back to my clip from twenty sixteen where I said that the election of Donald Trump was white supremacy's last stand. And I was like looking at my
face and kind of getting back in that moment. And I still stand by what I said. This is white supremacy's last stand. I don't know how long the stand is going to be. You know. I don't know if it's going to be another one hundred year war, you know, one hundred years of Jim Crow. I have no idea, but I do know that this is what it looks like when you have those people that are in power clinging onto it in desperation. They will lash out and they will do anything and everything that is possible in
order for them to hold on to that power. We're witnessing it right now down in Georgia right with the Republicans saying that because of the legislation that they passed and fucking Brian Kemp signed to remove Fannie Willis to get rid of the case against Donald Trump, because these motherfuckers don't believe in the rule of law, right, they don't care about the rule of law. I mean, this is the thing that I talked about yesterday on the show.
When reading you the article from Will Bunch in the Inquirer, these are the conversations that journalists need to be happening. These are the real questions that need to be asked, like do you still believe in democracy and do you believe in the rule of law? Because here's the thing, you want all of these investigations, you had Hillary Clinton testify for eleven hours. You wanted an investigation into Bengazi, it turned up nothing. You wanted an investigation into Hunter
Biden's laptop, and now there's a special counsel. So everything that you've been crying about, em bitching about, there have been investigations into. You. Didn't hear Democrats say that, oh, the system is broken. They said, let a play out. Why because they knew that they were going to be vindicated in the fucking end. The same can't be said for the Republicans involved in the insurrection and trying to
overthrow our government. That's why they're working overtime to try and get rid of prosecutors from doing their job right, because God forbid, they show up as several did in Florida that Ron DeSantis so boastfully says that he removed that were uncovering major fucking abuses of power right in the Florida police departments, Right as the prosecutors getting ready to drop the hammer, all of a sudden, they are ambushed and out of a job. Because that is what
fascism looks like. That's what you do when you know that if you were to follow the actual rules and the lay of the land and the laws, you would lose. Right, I'm not saying that you can't put up a vigorous defense against all of the nineteen motherfuckers, including the president of the United States that's been indicted in Georgia. I'm not saying that you can't say, oh, he's innocent. Okay, he's perceived to be innocent until found guilty. Go Ham.
But just because he's being brought up on charges does not mean that the system is broken, does not mean that the system can't be trusted. It is a Republican party and their bullshit weaponization of committees in the House, led by Jim Jordan and the other fucking looney tunes. Right, we're gonna where you are weaponizing everything. Because Republicans apparently are above the law, they can do whatever the fuck
it is that they want. But if you were to turn around, and I'd love for a fucking journalist to ask this question, So let me ask you this. If Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, Bill Clinton, any Democrat had done, had been accused of any of the things that Donald Trump is accused from, you're telling me, y'all would be good. Y'all would just be like, oh, you know, we don't need an investigation here, we don't need indictments here, give
me a fucking break. You wanted to impeach Barack Obama over a tan fucking suit, right, You impeach Bill Clinton over a blowjob that hurt no one but his reputation and his family. But that was a lie too far. But Donald Trump lies as readily as he breathes, and so do all of the sick offense around him that actually affect our well being, our day to day and
the foundation of our democracy. But that's something that we should look away from, and we should just believe that all of the policies that are being passed to silence representatives or throw them out of a job that were duly elected, like that is okay. That is fucking authoritarianism. And they are doing it by saying to white folks, oh,
you ain't got nothing to worry about. We got your back, right, We're passing legislation to make sure you'll never uncomfortable, that you never need to know the truth, that you can continue to walk around in this universe like a fucking ostrich, Right, everyone bending to your will. That's how God intended it. That's what the white evangelical Christians think. There's a ruling
class and then there's everybody else. So Lenny B. Johnson when he said, oh, if you can convince them that they are better the lowest of the low, the swampiest of the fucking swamp, that they are better than the best black men, you don't even need to do much. Motherfucker will empty out his pockets. Well, according to Donald Trump's campaign, that's exactly what they're doing, right. They're building murals and taking their own mug shops to show their
solidarity with their criminal ass president. They don't want this country to be united under God under a flag because we don't share the same fucking values anymore. So when we are watching this coverage of this hurricane coming to barrel down on the state of Florida, and will then show the devastation, and we'll give Ron de Santis all the fucking rope to show how presidential he can be. No one will be reminded of what Donald Trump did
during several natural disasters that happened under his watch. No one will talk about the fact that Ron DeSantis and Chris Christy voted down aid to the state of New York after Hurricane Sandy wiped out parts of the state. No, because oh, that will be That won't be good, that won't be objective. That's fucking news, right, that's connecting the fucking dots knowing. Good God damn well, a hurricane fires, anything hits any blue state and a Republican is in office,
good luck, good luck. Until somehow you decide to roll back abortion, or get rid of deversity and inclusion, or enslave the black population again, that's when you'll get your aid. They are gonna hold this motherfucking country hostage, and it doesn't matter whose name is next to the R as the candidate for president of the United States. That is what every single one of them will do and wants
to do. So it's up to the rest of us to wake up everyone around us, to stay connected and tuned in because they are telling you what their plans are. We don't need to feign ignorance, we don't need to pretend we don't know, and we don't certainly need to give these motherfuckers the benefit of the doubt, because when people show you who they are, believe them the first time.
