Speaker 1

Good morning, peeps, and welcome to will Kate f Daily with Meet your Girl Daniel Moody, recording from the Home Bunker. Folks, we've made it to the end of yet another week, and bravo. Pat ourselves on the back, give yourself a hug, because it's a struggle. I mean, let's just be honest. There's an article that was in Politico this week referencing the fact that diplomats around the world are really concerned and lamenting partisan divides in the United States that are

essentially making the world unsafe, right and destabilizing. And so, you know, I read this article and I thought to myself as I'm reading it, the fact is that while, of course, you know, diplomats, what was interesting about this is that diplomats don't usually wade into partisan politics or politics really at all. You know, like they are in you know, diplomats and ambassadors and they you know, represent their countries and you know, in foreign places to show

alliance and allegiance and all of these things. And these folks who spoke to Politico did so under you know, anonymity, so that you know, they won't lose their jobs or spark you know, more outrage, but the collective feeling was the same that the United States and the far right and the Republican Maga supremacists are making the world and the country more and more unsafe, and that their actions are being celebrated by a thoranitarians like Putin, like Netan, Yahoo,

like Urbon, and others around the world who will be served by a weekend the United States. And you know, I'm not too young to remember a time when while we had our differences, the political parties had our differences at home, that there was always a united front in terms of how we handled our allies and adversaries abroad.

Donald Trump entirely changed that dynamic. He changed that dynamic for the worst when he just up and tore up the Iran deal that Barack Obama had put together in order to finally bring in aid, you know, relieve sanctions that went so far as not to provide the people of Iran with medical supplies, with medicines and the like. And so when he did that, it was a signal to the world, along with you know, walking away from the Paris Climate Agreement and other things, that the United

States can no longer be trusted. Right, that literally how the United States is going to engage with the world will always depend on who is in office, and so every four years, the global you know world has to what like, hedge their bets. And what they were saying in this article is that there is absolutely no ability to be able to create then long term deals, knowing that depending on the move or who the president is

that comes in, that deal can be ripped up. So basically, the United States and our partisan issues which are not even partisan issues, we have went from a two party system to a one party system where the other party are domestic terrorists, right, who don't believe in the constitution, who don't believe in the rule of law, who don't believe in precedent, and because of their desire to turn the United States into a white, evangelical, you know, Christian,

white nationalist nation, the reverberations that are happening around the world are going to be catastrophic because whether or not we like it, and whether or not we believe that it should be. So, the United States has been the

strongest poll to bring other people into the tent of democracy. Now, of course, I'm very challenged in saying that because the more that you learn about our foreign policy, the more you learn about what the United States has done, the tens of thousands, hundreds of thousands, millions of people that have been killed, the regimes that the United States has decided to either decimate or upholl depending on how much they can extract from whether it is Latin America or

the continent of Africa. All of those things can be true at the same time. Right that the United States has the best pr as it pertains to democracy. Many of the diplomats and ambassadors were educated in our universities, and so they understand inside and out who this country is and who it has aspired to be with each

given generation. And what they are seeing right now with Maga supremists, the fact that you can barely get this Congress to elect a fucking speaker, let alone like past policy, to provide aid to let say Ukraine, and to do the bare minimum of passing a budget so that the government doesn't shut down. So when you take all of these things into consideration and we have an election that is coming up in ten months, you know, I continue to say, like, it don't look good, right, Like it

doesn't look good. It doesn't look good for us here right, who are going to live with the fallout, But then also understanding that we're not the only ones that are going to be living with the fallout, that the world is going to reorder, and America is not going to be on the side that it has been on, which has been the side of promoting and establishing democracy around

the world. So then what happens, Well, what these diplomats were saying is what is going to happen is what they are seeing happen, which is that these alternatives pop up, these alternative allegiances, right, these alternative ties, and that what is going to end up happening is that the relationship that other nations have to the United States will no longer be one of a strong allyship. It will just be transactional. So, folks, the consequences of this upcoming election

aren't just about our lives. It's about global safety and stability, which is all at stake and all on the ballot. I keep saying to myself, like, why am I so tired? Why am I, you know, so stressed? You know, it's just roughly, you know what, two weeks into this new year, and I am struggling to get out of bed, like

I'm not hitting you. I'm struggling to get out of bed, I'm struggling to sleep, and I'm saying to my friends and family, like I don't know how I'm going to get through the next ten months, right like, and I'm talking about myself, but like when I say, like, I don't know how we are going to get through the next ten months because so much is at stake, and it's like it's like one of those things you know when you have like your to do list and you have so much to do and you're so overwhelmed by

all of the things that you have to do, so you end up doing nothing. That's how I feel where I feel like the United States has so much to do. The people of this country. There is so much waking up to do. There is so much like energy that needs to be put in to getting people to recognize that we're not voting for Joe Biden. Like, let's just

set that aside. We're not voting for Joe Biden. I'm not going to be telling you for the next ten months that Joe Biden is my guy and that like you you know, we got to go all in for him because he's great and like and all of these things. No, I'm not going to be doing that because it's not how I feel. I feel like the choice we have very stark decisions with really poor choices to make those decisions.

But the fact is is that if your issue is what is happening in Gaza right now with a genocide and murder spree that is taking place being funded by our government, if you think that that gets better or changes if Donald Trump becomes president of the United States, and because you're saying, well, I'm just gonna opt out, if you give a fuck, then we need to actually work with what we have right and the current set of rights that we still have WOHILD is to protest

and pressure the current administration that actually gives a shit about what the people think and what the people say and do. You have to work with what you have where you have it. And so if your issue is well, Joe Biden is a warmongerer and genocide Joe, I will tell you that if you think for a fucking minute that anything will get better in that country if Donald Trump becomes president again, and you are fucking kidding yourself, and you're also setting up those people for their end

right which they're already being pushed towards. If they are going to have a chance, it is going to be for Joe Biden to recognize that he is losing the electorate because of his allegiance to Netanyahu, who by the way, doesn't fucking like him and does not want him to win. He wants Trump to win. So that should be all

you need to know about that. If climate change is your issue, and you think for any small measure that a climate denier going into the White House at a critical time in the world where we are in every season every year witnessing the hottest summers, the coldest winters, polar var Texas, floods, tornadoes, hurricanes, fire, seasons that are all quote unquote historic and the worst we've ever seen every year. Donald Trump is not gonna solve that. Maga's

supremacts are not gonna solve that. Right, They're not gonna help you with your utility bills or the ability to rebuild your home. Okay, So if that's your issue, sitting this one out, ain't it. If your issue is abortion and that's the thing that is driving you to the polls, and you just see that the Supreme Court just upheld one of the strictest abortion measures in Idaho, which states that even in the case of an emergency, when the life of the pregnant person and woman is at stake,

no abortion for you. You can die along with that fetus. They upheld it in Texas, they upheld it in Idaho. Donald Trump becomes president, which, by the way, he is going on the campaign trail saying I'm the one that got you abortion. And that's all fucking white evangelical Christians give a fuck about. Oh, that and white supremacy. So if that's your issue, you want what is happening in Idaho and in Texas and in all of these other red states and Midwestern states. You want that shit nationalized,

because that is also what is gonna happen. You know, people tell me, Danielle, you need to just stop spreading fear, and like, you know, oh, I'm not gonna listen, and blah blah blah, I don't give a fuck about you. Just don't come crying to me. Well, you won't be able to because you'll be in a fucking camp. Okay, you'll be jobless and homeless on the street, and guess what, there'll be no safety nets. And why do I say jobless and homeless, Because when these white supremaists get in,

they've already overturned affirmative action. When you're racist, white bosses decide that they want to fire you or not hire you, or pay you less, you have no recourse to go to the courts because they can do whatever the fuck they want. Right. So, when you realize that you're nothing more than an indentured servant, right with no one who gives a fuck about how you're able to put food on your table or if you're able to do so, and then you take whatever job that you can get

which will exploit you and then throw you away. So, folks, there isn't a choice in this upcoming election. I'm not voting for Joe Biden. I'm voting for myself. I'm voting for my family. I'm voting for my friends. I'm voting for all of you to be able to have self determination, to still have some rights, and to still muster the energy in order to fight back against people who want to reinstate Jim Crow and an apartheid worse than anything

that we saw in the twentieth century. Folks, wake up, rite and shake the shit out of the people around you. I'm just as angry, frustrated, depleted as everybody else is. And you hear me on this show, go for my ups and my downs and my ups and my downs, and were going to be on this ride together until November. But there is one thing that I will tell you for certain is that I will absolutely fucking vote, and I will vote for my fucking life. I'm not votevoting

for a person. So what kind of life do you want? Right with the limited amount of time that we're all given on this earth? What kind of life do you want? That's what you're voting for. Do you want to life filled with some choices or none at all? Because that's where we are. You know, my friend Rashad Robinson, who is the president and CEO of Color of Change, the largest online civil rights organization, he said this, He goes some elections are about pushing forward for progress. Other elections

are just about holding the fuck on. That's what this election is buying us some time for these lawsuits to play out, for us to overturn MAGA supremacy, for us to be able to have a Department of Justice that can do its job and go after those that continue to want to thwart not only our democracy but the

rule of law. We need more fucking time. So for everybody around you, whether it is your your kids, your nieces, your nephews, your students, right your community members that are throwing up their hands in the air, tell them that they are not voting for Joe Biden. Nobody's asking them to wear a fucking T shirt or pin okay and rah rah rah at every rally like he's the second Coming. He is not. But I know what he is not,

which is the devil reincarnate. I know what he is not, which is a man that believes that people, right, all people in this country should have access to the American dream, whatever that looks like for them. I know that he's not a white supremacist. I know that he's not a misogynist, and I know that he's not a rapist. And I know that that makes the bar really fucking low. But that's where we are. We're in the gutter, and so

to crawl our ways back up top. We got to figure this shit out, and it is not going to be pretty and we're not going to feel good about it. Not every decision that we have to make do we have to feel good about And I say this to you because you guys get it, but I want you to tell the people that are around you who don't, using whatever platform you have, whatever voice, you have, to let people fucking know everything is at stake in this election, not just for us, but for everyone around the world.

In order for there to be global stability, we need a strong United States. That is just the facts, right the fuck now. So I'm not willing. There are days, trust me, and I had some of them this week where I said, fuck it, let this place go up in flames. But the reality is that there is nowhere else to go because everywhere you go there we are. So if we want a future that has some type of hope for your children, for your grandchildren, for those children in Gaza, then my god, there isn't a choice

to be made. We're not voting for a person, We're voting against fashion. And this election is going to be the most uncomfortable one that we've had because we don't get to feel good about it. Not every decision that we make do we get to feel good about. Some decisions just have to be fucking made. This is one of them that is it for me today? Dear friends on Woke a f as always, power to the people and to all the people. Power, get woke and stay woke as fuck.
