Good morning, Peeves, and welcome to wok F Daily with Meet your Girl Danielle Moody, recording from the Home Bunker. Folks, it is Woke Wednesday, and I'm gonna start trying something new with Woke Wednesdays, which is giving a rundown of three stories that I am paying attention to and think
that you need to get woke to. I've been doing a lot of freewheeling in terms of like my feelings and thoughts, but there are so many news stories and I want to make sure that we touch upon them on WOKF and so on Wednesdays moving forward, I'm gonna do my best to tackle three stories that I think are really important, and then again on fuck It Fridays, we will be giving you a rundown of the top stories of the week and doing our best again to give you the most thorough rundown of what you may
be missing in mainstream media but can get here all the time. So let's get into it on this Woke Wednesday. So I want to start off with probably one of the most disturbing stories circulating right now, and disturbing for a number of reasons. So Aaron Bushnell, who is the twenty five year old Air Force service member who self immolated on Sunday in front of the Israeli embassy in Washington,
d C. This story is so difficult for so many reasons. One, you know, according to you know friend Outlets, self immolation became a form of protest around the time of the Vietnam War. And you know, the Vietnam War was a time obviously I was not alive, right, but what I have read and understood was a really you know, friction filled, angry time in the United States where tens of thousands of Americans were losing their lives in a war that was not going to be winnable, and nor did people
really understand the reason for the war. Fast forward now to where we are with the war that Israel is waging against Gaza, and at the start, right on October seventh, Hamas and No owned terrorist organization kills and takes a hostage, you know, hundreds of people and kills you know, a thousand plus people, including women and children. This is a horrific act. No one is denying that that is a horrific act. Right. What we've come to understand since that
time is that Netan Yahoo failed. He failed those people, He failed that country because there were warnings much in the same way that there were warnings ahead of nine to eleven that George Bush and his team decided to ignore. There were warnings that this attempt was going to happen. And even so, there was an officer of the Israeli Defense who said, I think that they're actually practicing right now the thing that we are again getting alerts about, like,
I think that they're in full practice mode. Now. I'm not going to venture into conspiracy theories that are currently unproven, but let's just say that net Yahoo waging war was absolutely going to secure his power for the time being, that he needed this war in order to stay right in power in Israel. Now, what we have watched play out since October seventh are the deaths, the murders of over thirty thousand civilians, thirty thousand plus half of which
are children. Now, we have all watched as Netan Yahoo and his cabinet engage in some of the most extreme and violent rhetoric of genocide that we've heard in modern times. Now, if that rhetoric was coming out of the mouth of say Oh, I don't know. Vladimir putin apparently to the United States, it would be very clear who the enemy was,
because that's how they've painted Russia. But somehow, when you engage in homicidal, extremist and genocidal rhetoric, but you are somehow a quote unquote friend of the United States and quote unquote the only democracy in the Middle East, you continue to get a fucking pass. South Africa brought charges
to the Hague against Israel. The Hague then comes back and says, ah, while they are engaging in things that are considered to be a humanitarian crisis and war crimes, but we're not going to call for them to stop their war and massacre and bulldozing of an entire community
of people. So let's turn now to Aaron Bushnell, who, before he lit himself on fire, sent messages to several, according to The Intelligencer, several left leaning media outlets, saying that he was going to indeed engage in what would be seen as an extreme act of protest. He live streamed essentially his death, where with a bottle of flammable liquid, he poured it on himself and he said on his live stream, I will no longer be complicit in genocide.
I am about to engage in an extreme act of protest, but compared to what people have been experiencing in Palestine at the hands of their colonizers, it is not extreme at all. This is what our ruling class has decided will be normal. Now. The reason that I wanted to cover this story today is because I saw tweets by CBS and others when this news broke that said US Air Force serviceman lights himself on fire in front of Israeli embassy. That was the end of the title. In
the beginning. There was no mention of exactly why he did that. There was no mention of free Palestine, there was no mention in the fact that he didn't want to be complicit in genocide. They completely blacked it out, just didn't cover it because they wanted mainstream media for folks to think that once again isolated event he has
mental illness. Now the stories have unfolded that well, he was an anarchist, and you know he came from a really rigid Christian programming, and essentially what they are trying to do is discredit and assassinate this man's character. Do you understand, like, because I don't, right and I'll be honest with you, I can't imagine lighting myself on fire. But there have been people over the course of this year in the United States that have done it. He is not the first, He's not even the second. He
is the third over the last several months. What do they all have in common? Their reason for self immolation Israel's war against Gaza. The media isn't covering that, though, not without pressure from social media. That's like, why am I seeing one thing on x or on Instagram, blue Sky or what have you, but I'm seeing something entirely different on cable news. This is how to me the
media begins to lose credibility. Also missing from the story of Aaron Bushnell was the fact that he was allowed to burn for sixty seconds because in the initial response that officers had they drew their guns. Is on fire, So what the fuck was a bullet gonna do. You're holding up a gun and telling a man to get on the ground. Clearly he is not afraid of death. And also, if you were trying to come to his aid, pulling your gun wasn't going to be it. Somehow the
news stories missed that too. All I have to say with regard to Aaron Bush. Now is pay attention to the sources that you were getting your information from and comparing contrast, because you we are not getting the whole fucking truth. Next step story number two on my list headline Fannie Willis and Clarence Thomas. So, as of the time of this recording, there was an emergency session that was held by Judge McAfee in the case of removal of Fannie Willis from the Rico trial of Donald Trump.
Why is that happening because apparently she had a relationship with the head prosecutor in the Trump case for some time, and now the Trump team is using this as a way to remove her. So let me start out by saying that do I wish that Fannie Willis had been above reproach? Do all black people that are in positions of power need to be above reproach because white people will look for any fucking thing in order to get that black person in power removed. Yes, we know this.
If you remember from the Great Show Scandal where Papa Pope looked at Olivia and said, what have I always told you? You need to be twice as good to get half as much? Right, every black person that was watching that show at that time has been told that very fucking thing by their family. Right, So am I absolutely disgusted? Sure? Right? But let me also flip it here. Do I give a fuck who Fannie Willis was in
a relationship? Absolutely not, because her relationship doesn't have any bearing on my fucking life or the case for Donald Trump. But do you know who's wrongdoing? Actually does? Fucking Clarence Thomas, who we know has been on the take from Harlan Crow, a right wing billionaire for at least twenty some odd years, private schools paid for Holmes, paid for trips, paid for.
This is the man who, also, by the way, his fucking wife was paying for and backing to stop the steal movement, and post January sixth was calling around using her fucking clout as the wife of a Supreme Court justice in order to try and overturn the results of a free and fair election. Did Clarence Thomas recuse himself? Had Clarence Thomas sat before a panel of judges to explain the millions of dollars that he has taken from
Harlan Crow? Has he explained why he didn't recuse himself from the January sixth cases because he has directed involvement because of his fucking wife. No, and you see, Clarence Thomas is bought and sold. Clarence Thomas is the reason one of the reasons we don't have Roe v. Wade, we don't have affirmative action because he's being paid for his decisions on those cases. And all we get from
Chief Justice John Roberts is maybe we'll look into it. Oh, here, we'll police ourselves and put out some type of new ethics rulings. Are you fucking kidding me? But I am to give a fuck about who Fannie Willis is sleeping with. This is when I say to you, dear listeners and viewers, my patreon folks that are watching this video, I am just fucking beside myself with the amount of injustice, hypocrisy and bullshit that we are watching and hearing and reading
and consuming on a regular basis. Where the false equivalency is being made, but where we actually need to be having and paying attention is at the fact that our Supreme Court is bought and sold by billionaires who want to roll back the clock on equity and inclusion, women's rights, bodily autonomy so that they can stay in control of this country. That they want to erase your voice and
your vote and your power. But instead of us sitting down and taking the fucking Supreme Court to task, we're having conversations about who Fannie Willis had dinner with and whether or not she paid. These two things are not the fucking same and it's the false equivalency that is made that drives me fucking crazy. So have I been paying attention to the I don't give a fuck because I already know how it ends. She will be removed score for Donald Trump. That case will dissolve the two
year case that she had been building. Donald Trump won't be held accountable, and they'll get to run on the line that look at how corrupt democrats are. I already know the ending. Do I believe that she should have been better aps of fucking lutely? But do I believe that that is enough to remove her from this case
apps A fucking lutely not. But it doesn't matter, because she is a black woman that had the audacity to go after one of the most powerful and wealthy white men in this country, and for that she will pay a penalty, and the rest of us will pay a penalty because Donald Trump is the biggest threat to our democracy that we've ever seen. And we all know that Donald Trump should be in jail, and we fucking know that.
And the fact that a man who was found guilty of rape is a viable fifty to fifty percent chance a viable candidate, and a fifty to fifty percent chance still of becoming president again shows me how fucking corrupt our government and our systems are and who they are stacked in favor of. It's outrageous, but I would be remiss because no one else is making the comparisons between where we are with holding Clarence Thomas accountable, which is nowhere,
and holding Fani willis accountable. Ugh. So let me close out this woke Wednesday with my final story, which is the IVF misstep that Republicans are making right now. So Republicans are dumb, right, and we know this that their desire to turn America into the live version of the Handmaid's Tale is putting them in a really precarious position during an election year where they are trying to have
their cake and eat it too. You see, they want to both champion the ban on abortion, and they want to champion the ways in which that they are turning women and people with uteruses into criminals. And then when Alabama comes out and says, oh, it is not just about terminating pregnancies, We're going to tell you how to
have pregnancies, and that rapists. Shout out to Gavin Newsom and his recent ads that rapists are more likely to be able to have their child than parents who are paying tens of thousands of dollars for the opportunity to bring a life that they want into the world, and Alabama, quoting the Bible in their decision, has said no. So now when Republicans are asked about their positions on IVF, they don't know which way to go because it is so unfavorable that they don't know whether to go full
steam ahead or you know, back off just a little bit at least in terms of their messaging and their narrative until after November. In the meantime, though, one hundred and twenty five Republicans in the House have signed on to legislation that would allow for a national abortion ban and also a national ban on IVF. So all of these little test cases that we are seeing play out in states like Oklahoma and Alabama with the goal, by the way, the strategy of bringing this all the way
up to the Supreme Court. They're favorable and bought and sold Supreme Court. They're already telling you what they will do if any Republican ever steps foot in the White House again. Women won't have rights in this country. People with uterses will not have rights in this country. A collection of cells and a gun will have more rights than they do. And just in case folks are confused about IVF and a collection of cells being a life. You can't put a baby in the freezer and have
it survive, why because they are actual humans. You can, however, freeze the collection of cells and defrost them just saying science. You know, it's not just a word. Let's all take a breath. We will continue to get through this, dear friends, and we will do so together. That is it for me today onf on this refreshed Woke Wednesday, and my friends who are watching this video on Patreon, let me know in the comment section what you think of the top three stories and what would you have added to
the list. As always, my friends, power to the people and to all the people, power, get woke, and stay woke as fuck.
