Good morning, peeps, and welcome to wok F Daily with me your girl, Danny L. Moody recording from the Home Bunker. Folks, this week is going to be a fuck it Friday, because let me tell you something that I have so much to get off of my chest so that I can go into the weekend feeling lighter. You know, we can go in feeling better, like, let's just get it all out now and then we can move on with our lives. But there is just so much to say fuck it to. I don't even know where to start.
So let's start with the Republican Debate, if in fact you decided to stomach that in I'm starting to feel like people should start sending me gifts for having to ingest so much bullshit on your all's behalf. I'm joking, of course, but Jesus Christ right, like I deserve a medal. Start off with the Republican Debate, the second debate that took place at the Ronald Reagan Library. Every single one
of the Republicans on that stage are assholes. Every single one of them is a bigot, every single one of them is a transphobe. Every single one of them is a xenophobe, right. And so for the mainstream media to continue to try and convince us that there is someone in this field who is quote unquote better than Donald Trump, what is their definition of better? Because every single one of these people embraces trump Ism, even if they don't
like Donald Trump. They embrace xenophobia, transphobia, racism, misogyny, they embrace anti climate change policies. They are against voting right and people having access to the polls. They are against workers. So I don't understand how we sit here and do this bullshit horse racing kind of debate around who is the best of the worst, because that's what it is
that we're doing. First of all, none of those people on that stage are serious candidates for president of the United States, Because in order to be a serious candidate for president of the United States, you have to be willing to knock down who is in first place, right like, you have to be willing and have the temerity and the tenacity to go after the number one spot. And so how do these people go on stage do the
very least in trying to bring down Donald Trump? Literally, the man has just been named a fraud, which I'll get to in a moment. He's a fucking grifter. He has ninety one charges facing him, four indictments. Right, he's been labeled as sexual assaulter. We already know that he's a liar. He was named as that as well. Can't be trusted with fucking documents, can't be trusted with the
national intelligence of this country. You have a fucking shorgus board of things to go after and attack about Donald Trump if in fact you are serious about being this country's next commander in chief. But exactly what Donald Trump said in his fraudulent ass appearance in Michigan where he got together with a group of non union workers, some of which were not even auto workers, holding up signs saying that they were because they were probably paid by
the campaign. And that was aired out by the Detroit News. So thank you for your good journalism. But Donald Trump gets on that stage and says, these people don't look like they're running for president. They look like they're running for secretary of I don't know what, or to be my vice president. He asked the audience, do you see any vice presidential candidates in the bunch? I sure don't, And they laughed. That's what the rest of us think
about this Republican field, including Donald Trump. Do I see a serious candidate for office in that bunch. No, I think that every single one of them are auditioning to be the next I don't know, Hannity, the next Tucker Carlson on Fox News, because they seriously can't believe that they are equipped to run this country, right when they are not even equipped enough to tell the truth about
Donald Trump being bad for the Republican Party. Aside from Chris who his direct to camera like trying to be the tough guy and take on Donald Trump was just you know, I don't know, childish at best, but he is the only person that's actually willing to call a spade a spade. But he is not within a snowball chance in l of becoming president of the United States.
So he's up just up there for what comic relief and the Donald duck Sir, please don't just don't because the joke fell flat and it was stupid right at best. Nikki Haley and her like, I mean, just visible disdain and disgust for the zk Ramaswami. You know the fact that she said that she feels dumber after every exchange. Well, I can say that wholeheartedly about the entirety of the
Republican Party. Anytime that one of those motherfuckers opened up their mouths, I'm I'm certain that all of our IQs drop, you know. So that's my first bucket is to you know, this Republican primary that we're all having to suffer through, knowing good goddamn well that even if Donald Trump manages to get convicted, tried and convicted and put in prison, the Republicans will still want him to run the country from a federal penitentiary because there is not another suitable
person in the budge. And I would just argue there isn't a suitable Republican full stop period the Reagan days, which also he was a terrible president. Great for white America and great for the rich, but really fucking terrible for everybody else. I want to talk about Lauren Bobert now now that there are names that I would love to call Lauren Bobert, but I have class, so I'm not going to call them out on this show. You can imagine, you know, because I'm certain that you all
feel the same way. This person decided to take to the House floor to misgender a member of the Biden cabinet, the highest ranking transperson to utilize her time to dish out some of the most hateful, transphobic, disgusting rhetoric I think that I have ever heard, And here is my fuck. It is that Lauren Bobert should have never been allowed to open up her fucking mouth on the house floor.
One because of her disgusting, disgusting, fucking display at the Beetlejuice Uh performance right, like you have no class, no manners, no kouth, and you are not deserving of the title of congress person like you are disgusting. So that's number one. Number two, the moment that she misgendered a member of Biden's administration, her fucking mic should have been cut off. That kind of transphobic, hateful, and violent language has no
business inside of our Congress. I don't give a fuck what these nasty motherfuckers say to each other, but they sure as hell shouldn't be given a microphone and the privilege of saying those things on the house floor and
it being entered into the record. That was disgusting because, like I've said on my other shows, if if you were to take out the word trans and insert any other marginalized group Jews, Muslims, Blacks, Hispanic folks, Asian people, anybody other than trans people, which apparently is totally acceptable to be mocking and bigoted towards. That's okay, right, Apparently
with Americans it shouldn't be. Do you know the rate at which trans people are murdered in this country, particularly black trans women, It is like ten times something, staggering the rate of murder, homelessness, right, poverty. So you're just taking this group that only wants to live free in this democracy inside of their own bodies, making a mockery and a target of them on the house floor, and
we think that that's acceptable. But if you or I were to ever do that with any other group, if it was a Jewish person, she would be labeled as an anti semi and probably kicked out of Congress if she were to talk about that about black people. Even though Marjorie Taylor Green, her other white trash fucking counterpart, went on the House floor dreaming right against the highest ranking black military official saying that they should be making
one dollar right because the military is woke. I can think of no less woke entity than the United States military, these people, their level of disrespect. I am just folks. I wish, honestly, I wish that we lived in a society where people cared about each other, right, where people challenged themselves to be better, not where they were applauded for playing to the bottom. I long for the days where a Marshy Tailor Green and a Lauren Bobert would have been laughed out of any election. I long for
the days where we had political correctness and decorum. And I'm not even a person that believes in respectability politics. I don't, you know, like the dress codes on the floor and in I could care less, right, because what I care about is how these people vote. What I care about is what they say, not what they put on their bodies, except for Christen Cinema and the fucking ugly accidentum ves, But I digress. What they say prompts
the behavior of their followers, right. They send out their little signals we don't like this group, we don't like these people. Why do you think that hate crimes against trans people, against black people, against a people, against the Jewish community are on the rise. Every single marginalized group has seen double digit increases in violence against that community as the violent rhetoric has been escalated by our supposed
elected officials and leaders. One plus one really does equal to regardless of whether or not you want to live on Earth one or someplace on Earth iree where those motherfuckers live. So the fact that we don't readily connect the dots and call these people out for inciting violence and using their platforms and their voices to do so
is bullshit. When I heard Laura like, I was so fucking floored that she was able to get make it through that entire speech, No one, the person that was sitting and presiding over the House did not stop her and say we do not condone that type of hateful rhetoric on the House floor. If you have real policy and real business and real issue to bring by all means just to open up the mic to attack a transmember of the Biden administration, no, should have never been
fucking allowed. But that again just goes to show you what we think about trans people in this country, goes to show you why people like Ron de Santis are able to pass hateful legislation against folks because people are like, well, I don't know a transproved person and I think that they're weird, right, and they're allowed to say and do that. Oh it makes me uncomfortable. I can think of no
group braver. Honestly, they trans people that live on purpose out loud when it would be so much easier for them not to and know it wouldn't because you think about how easy it would be to swallow the truth of who you are every fucking day. It's why people kill themselves. I just you know, it's so gross where
we are. You know, it's so gross. And that's why I tell you all that it is so important to take some space and time and create some distance between you and what these people are trying to do, which is make us believe that everyone is as full as hate and despair and disgust as they are, and I know that that is not the truth. I want to end today with a little, you know, with a little feel good Friday, because I do recognize it is important
to insert that at the end of the week. I had the great opportunity to do a storytelling workshop for trade unionists in Minnesota a week or so ago. And I've been to Minnesota before, probably just once before. And you know, as somebody from the East Coast, who's lived, you know, in Washington, d C. Has lived in New York, has lived in Virginia. You have certain ideas about the Midwest, right, based on nothing other than what the media tells us
about the Midwest. And me thinking, you know, as a black queer woman going to these places and having an idea about how these people, how people are and what have you. I cannot express enough how pleasantly surprised like I was, and just a reminder of my own geographic bigotry, right in terms of believing that because certain areas have turned red, that that means that everyone in that state
is a bigot is not true? And I know that it's like you think, yeah, of course, Daniel da right, But no, because the way that these areas have been painted by the media by political parties would have you believe that we're not just all out here trying to
do the best that we can. Right, listening to these trade unionists, from cafeteria workers to janital janitors, to teachers' aides and what have you, just people doing the best that they can to provide for themselves and their family and just wanting to have a living wage, wanting to be of service, even if that service isn't highly paid, but the payment is in just feeling good about the work that you do every day and just wanting to have some dignity attached to that, and being out in
the field actually talking to real people. Right. And when I say real people, I don't mean like the real Americans. I just mean moving away from listening to talking heads all the time, moving away from listening to the nasty, disgusting rhetoric coming out of Republicans' mouths, and actually talking to real people, you know, with lives and kids and families and jobs and hopes and dreams. And it was such a beautiful reminder of like what I try and
fight for. Why I am talking is because everyone should have the opportunity to be able to live the life that they want to go to work and feel seen and feel heard and feel valued. That's why people are
on strike. It's not that folks hate the rich. Good for fucking you, But when your enormous wealth comes off of the sweat and tears and sacrifice of the working class, and you in return provide them not even with a living wage and benefits so that they can keep working, to make you wealthy because your greed has just gotten
has just taken over. It's ridiculous to me. And so it was just such a wonderful reminder to be in this state and interact with so many beautiful spirits doing like literal God's work in all honesty, and you know, like looking at their jobs as more than just jobs, but they are literally what makes communities run. Right. These are the people that do the work that when they're
do it and they do it well, nobody notices. But when something isn't picked up or done or fixed, then all of a sudden, it throws a wrench in everything else. These people are essential, not just because we say you go to work when we get to stay home, but because they are essential to making our communities run, to making them better, to making them beautiful. Right. So it's just a reminder that sometimes pull yourself away from cable news, from the headlines and see what's going on next door,
across the street. Connect with your neighbors, right, not just the ones that you like, but introduce yourselves to the ones you don't know. Because the idea is for us to really connect in real life so that we are not led astray by the life that are told to us about the people that live down the street. The only way that they get away with those lies is when we get locked into our own fear and our
own bigotry. That's how they win. The more that we decide to break down the doors in between ourselves and other people and other groups, the less likely their tactics are to work. So that is my reminder for this week.
