Speaker 1

Good morning, peeps, and welcome to Okay f Daily with me your girl Danielle Moody recording from the Brooklyn Bunker, because well, I'm too fucking scared to leave it. Let's be real. You know, one of the things that I have been noticing over the last couple of weeks, you know, being on social media, being on Twitter, is how everyone is freely sharing just how emotionally spent exhausted they are.

And I say that that is a good thing because I think that too often we're sitting alone in our feelings trying to work them through and trying to process, like and describe what is this feeling of dread? Like? What? What? What is this feeling of unease that I have that

I can't shake? And I expressed to you all yesterday, you know that following the news of the shooting in um in the subway in New York, that I was really shaken up, and you know, and then I started to like beat myself up for the fact that I was shaken up, that somehow I felt that I should just be able to kind of power through. I mean,

how many mass shootings have we been through? How many mass shootings, you know, make the headlines and how many of them don't, and that it has become such a normalized part of everyday existence in America that I found myself even though I found myself saying to a friend, I'm too busy to cry. I don't really have the time I got, you know, this to write and these

shows to do, and and and emails to answer. And so it's this continued grind that we're in where we're still in a pandemic, right, We're still in a pandemic where we have to be a point to variant that has overtaken the omicron variant. You have the CDC that announces, oh, well, we're going to kick the can down the road and we're going to have mass on you know, transportation for

another two weeks. And I tweeted, and I said, because what do we think that they're going to discover in two weeks that they don't fucking know now mass work and no one has stopped travel. You have airlines and the train operator not the train operators, but these CEOs that are trying to put pressure on Congress and Republicans suing rights, multiple states suing the CDC to release these mass mandates and I'm like, I'm sorry, Am I missing something?

Are these airlines not fucking making money making billions of dollars for price gouging people? Right like they're trying to make up for what the sick months that they didn't make any money. I've been to the airport I have flown. They're not you know, they're not working at the understaffed and low population level. No things are actually back. So if the decision is being made around you know, purely capitalistic reasons, then show me where you're losing money, Show

me where things are down. Because people need to put a fucking cloth mask over their face so that we all don't breathe in COVID, right Like, I'm just I get to the point of just breaking, which kind of happened yesterday. I'm going to be honest that by the time that the day was finished and I had not one but two martinis that I made for myself at home, I was just like sitting on my couch and I just got overwhelmed and I started tearing up. I started crying.

And it wasn't through pain, it was just through sheer frustration and overwhelmed. I am just tired of all of this shit. I'm tired of Democrats not battling against people that are literally putting this country in our democracy through the ringer. I'm tired of the lies being told as if COVID does not exist and hasn't killed millions of people around the world. There's a piece right now. I

didn't read it yet. There's a piece right now in the New York Times, and the headline was something like grandparents taking over because two hundred thousand children in the United States, almost a quarter of a million. Two hundred thousand children in the United States lost at least one parent to COVID and now or both, and now their grandparents are stepping in to take care of them. That's an actual news story right now. But we're having a debate about whether or not we should remove mass from

public transportation. I mean, mass mandates have all but gone away in a majority of cities and places. But I will tell you, as somebody that was tally just on the Amtrak to and from Washington, DC last week, I feel comfortable being locked inside of this moving tube because

everybody has to wear a fucking mask. And yes, people are still eating and drinking, but for the most part, right the mask is on and the ventilation and the air is pumping, and it's a way for you to be able to try, Like, why is it that it is the least among us, right that have the loudest

fucking voices. So, whether it is and I'm going to get into this, whether it is about being pro gun and having no restrictions on guns whatsoever, so that has to infringe upon my fucking safety and my ability to feel like I can leave my home in my neighborhood and feel fucking safe because I got gun tote. Motherfucker's

all over the place. Right. And then these people with the mask, if you were to do a then diagram, it's the same fucking people, right, The people who didn't want to wear a mask, right, are the same fucking pro gun people, are the same fucking anti portion people. They're the same demographic. And the fact that I'm saying this because the numbers, the numbers that they actually have

are small in comparison to the majority of us. But they literally have figured out how to become the squeaky wheel that is consistently consistently pampered too, Right, And I'm just I'm over it. I am over it. You know, I said yesterday on my woke Wednesday, I said, you know, following this shooting, you all listen to the conversation with Jonathan Metzal that I had, And the reality is that Republicans want to turn this country into the wild wild West.

They want to have people you know, in the streets, no social safety nets. Only the rich are able to continue to navigate. This just desert of despair that they're creating. Like that, That's literally what it is. Right, So people, pregnant people can't get abortions, gay people and trans people are forced back into the closets. You have climate change rearing, you have a global health pandemic that we're never going to get a hold of, and just continues to mutate

with multiple variants over and over again. And just wait, folks, just wait, because the next variant that is going to come is not going to be of the shrug off variety, right like those This is the truth. But you see, the thing is is that if we are all spinning out of control, we're spinning out in overwhelm, We're spinning out in fucking misery and feeling like there is just

no path through this darkness. This is how fascism and authoritarianism rises like they are literally playing through the same playbook that got Hitler into power. But you have Joe Biden doing these tough talk, fucking press conferences and the only motherfucker he's calling out is Putin And I'm saying, bitch, make the bridge, make the connection. Right. So you have Putin deciding that he's going to sanction I think he's sanctioned over like three hundred and ninety eight members or

something crazy right of the House of Representatives. And I'm saying to myself, do you know what I would do? If I were Merritt Garland and wasn't a sloth and actually believed in upholding American institutions and values and justice and not just in name only. I would start an investigation into the motherfucker's who didn't receive putent sanction and wonder why why aren't you being sanctioned? Right? I would go into an investigation, open up an investigation into Tucker Carlson. No,

but nobody wants to play politics. But it's totally okay for Republicans to consistently make up lies, lies that turned into you know, millions of dollars spent during the Benghazi hearings right to haul Hillary Clinton and to do nothing other than to smear her name. But then at the end of the day, when we have all of the evidence on our side, to justify the fact that we're not playing politics. This isn't politics, It's about fucking democracy.

And if motherfuckers are going to call you outside your name regardless, then why wouldn't you do the work. This is where I am with Democrats right now, is that they are so fucking tepid, and tepid is a nice euphemism because it's not even tepidness. They're lackluster. They're jellyfish, They're spineless, right, they have absolutely no fight in them whatsoever. And they're so they move in such a way that they are so afraid of how Republicans are going to react.

And I continue to say, you cannot lead like that. My cross country coach us to tell us in high school, you can't lead from the back. So if I'm saying that you're one of the leaders of the team, right, you need to be out front. How you leading from the back. But that's what democrats logic is. So you have right now, one of the most violent tax that is coming that it's been coming, it's been brewing, and it came once again, as most things in the Republican

Party these days, are coming from QAnon. QAnon fucking batshit crazy theory has found its way into mainstream Republicanism, and one of QAnon's biggest and most disgusting theories. Democrats are running some type of pedophilia ring right now. A couple of years ago, we all wanted to like that wasn't even making anybody's news, right, We're just like, oh, those are the crazies over there, because that's clearly not the case. Right. No, No, you heard it come up in the hearings for Judge

Katangi Brown Jackson. Right, Oh, you're soft on pedophilia, you're soft on sex crimes. You hear it now through that the siren of batshit Crazy, which is Marshary Taylor Green saying that the Democratic Party is just filled with pedophiles. And then I heard recently that Hakim Jeffries has said, oh, well, that's just nonsense, and we don't respond to nonsense. Let me tell you what happens when you don't respond to

what you perceive to be nonsense. You have what happened in Virginia, Right, Virginia was in the blue column for the last twelve years up until Junkin comes in. And what does Trump and a Vest do. Trump and a Vest decides to turn his entire campaign into being about parental control. And what is at the core of this quote unquote parental control? It is critical race theory, which I've told you time and time again, is not taught

in K through twelve schools. It's not even taught in undergrad It's taught in select as an elective in selective law schools. Right, but it doesn't don't allow the truth to get in the way of a good story and a good campaign. Glenn Uncan didn't. And what ended up happening is that Democrats didn't actually formulate any type of messaging or plan to come back to the nonsense about critical race theory. Instead, they decided to ignore it. And now we have Governor Junkin and Virginia has gone back

into the red column. And what Republicans are doing, it's basically using there when in Virginia to create the framework and the and the strategic planning that they are doing now all across the country, right, making criminalizing education, because if you are a teacher right now in any of these red states, I would be fucking scared to even talk about Martin Luther King or Rosa Parks, you know, the people that they love to bring out during Black

History Month to use their quotes as if they're not racist, just so that they can put on some political black face. Right, you wouldn't even want to talk about that, because God forbid, little Josie and Jamal go home and say, look what I learned today, Mom, dad, grandma, and then the parents come marching up to the school slap a lawsuit on you. This is the kind of vigilanteism that Republicans have set

out and Democrats haven't pushed back on. So now they started with critical race theory, they've moved into don't say gay, what the fuck you think is coming next? So my thing is that you don't at some point in time, you don't just ignore the bully that is in the schoolyard. You actually walk up to them and you punch them directly in the fucking face, right because you let them know that you're not to be played with. But Democrats don't play like that. They're like hiding in the corner.

Please don't look at me and don't see me. And maybe if I bring you a dollar every day then you won't be beating my ass. And I'm just like, I need people to start to recognize that this kind of operation from weakness is not a winning strategy, and it's having people who are Democrats right, voters who are well, what are my two options here? Either I'm a part of a white supremist cult, right, or I'm with the jellyfish, Like these are my two options. So what will people

start deciding to do. They'll just opt out altogether and rightfully. So, I'm a person that believes in voting. I believe in democracy.

I believe in government form by the people. But when you are putting in and voting for representatives that are too chicken shit to actually take it to our political foes, I don't know what options we have left, but I know that right now, Joe Biden once again held a very tough talking press conference, colin putting everything but a child of God, saying that he is committing genocide, which is, you know, the big buzzword in you know, war crimes

is genocide. Of course, the Kremlin has come out and said, no, we're not committing war crimes. Of course, we're not raping and murder ring and you know, executing civilians right and blowing up hospitals and train stations like that's not happening.

It's all made up. Sure, Okay, I'm not saying that you shouldn't have tough talk on Putin, but I'm saying, connect the fucking dots to the Republicans in the United States that are supporting Russia in their war of aggression, whether they're supporting them with their actual pocketbook or wallets, like,

let's figure that out. That's what you think you would do inside of an investigation, but you sure as fuck should be like, so, America on my watch is not going to turn into anybody's hungry Turkey or fucking Russia. And here are the people that I need to ask,

where is your patriotism at? Instead of referring to you know, Mitch McConnell as a man of like good morals and character, I'm like, we're talking about this same motherfucker that stole a seat from your president when you were vice president. We're talking about that guy. We're talking about the one that rushed through the confirmation of Amy Covid Barrett in thirty days right before, right after the election, and before

you were able to be sworn in. We're talking about that guy, that's the one that you say has good moral character. Do I need to look up a new definition of what morality is because that ain't it. And so the fact is is that if the people that are in democratic leadership and are in the establishment can't clearly identify our villains right the villains of democracy, then I'm confused about how you think that you're going to

get the people's votes. Like this is the thing that I continue to worry about, frankly on a regular basis. We got seven months, folks, that's not a lot of time. And I know that people like to think that a majority of voters don't actually pay attention until around September or October, but I'm telling you it is April and I'm seeing no change in messaging coming out of the Democratic camp. Let's look at abortion right now and what

is going on with the anti abortion movement. Once again, just to remind everyone, Democrats run all of the quote unquote points of power outside of the Supreme Court, the Senate, the House, and the White House, and I'm saying to myself, as you are watching Republicans make decisions state by state to not only ban abortion, but to go so far as to do what Oklahoma did earlier this week, which is to criminalize it, criminalizing pregnant people with up to

ten years in jail for a felony for terminating their own goddamn pregnancy. This is where we're going. So I'm saying to myself, where the fuck is the fed the outrage at the federal level. Now you can tell me, oh, there's nothing that we can do but executive orders, and I'm saying, you got two years for those executive orders

to stick, So what are you doing. The federal government during COVID right decided when the Biden administration came in that they were going to allow medical abortions to happen. These are the two pill situations that allow pregnant people to be able to have a safe abortion at home. They did that during COVID and why because you couldn't leave your home. And here's something that has a kind

of you know, deadline. So they allow this to stay, right, and I'm thinking to myself, this is great, So what else are you going to do. You're able to use these medications for up to ten weeks. But there are nineteen states in this country that still require you to have a physician a physician sign off for you to be able to access that medication. So, now, if you are a physician that is in one of those states

that are now criminalizing abortion, you think that you're writing scripts. No, So we actually need the Department of Justice to penalize these states for not following the FDA's guidelines. But we're seeing no action in that way. I'm not hearing Merritt Garland saying We're going after Oklahoma, We're going after Texas, We're going after Florida. No, there's no murmurings. And I'm like, am I missing something? Like if this is what winning

looks like? That I am terrified to know what it's going to look like post November, because if the Pauls hold right, we're fucked. And you know, it was funny because when I was in DC last week and I'm talking to folks there and everyone right who is working at national organizations and in the grass roots are just like, what do you think is happening with the Biden administration? Like is it that they feel like they're gonna get

a second bide at the Apple. Because the thing that I keep trying to convey on this show and on others is this, when midterms are lost, that is it period. Republicans will take control of the Senate, they will take control of the House, and guess what is They're going to be their first mode of operation to start the impeachment process for Joe Biden. And they're going to use his son Hunter as the way to get to Joe Biden.

Now we know damn youson Hunter Biden's laptop for I don't even know how long now right to try and smear Biden. But here's the thing. Republicans have already showed you that they don't operate inside of the rule of law or the constitution. Right, that's a mere suggestion to them. So we can say, oh, well, they're not going to be able to impeach him. They have no grounds, they don't need any All they need is control of the

House and the Senate. So then after they're able to impeach Joe Biden for no fucking reason whatsoever, what else do you think that they're going to do? Probably open up a commission and investigation so that they can get Hillary, get Barack Obama, and go down their list right and start to create a situation where we have political prisoners in this country. You think that I'm being crazy, right,

Oh my god, Danielle, that could never happen. Well, I never thought that I would see an insurrection, and that happened. And right now you have the one six Commission weighing and quote unquote split on whether or not they're going to actually refer Donald Trump and company to the Department of Justice for criminal charges. Now you have some that are speculating in the news that say, well, it's nothing more than, you know, symbolism. It's not as if the

one six Commission has any teeth. Well, guess what America is starving for right now? Some sign that justice is actually going to prevail, some sign that when we say that no one is above the law, that that isn't just some bullshit bumper sticker, that there is actual action

behind that. So America is starving for a symbol, a sign that those that were so brazen in their attempt to overthrow our government, so brazen in fact, that they advertised and celebrated it on social media that not just the foot soldiers, but the architects of said insurrection, like the Ginny Thomases of the world, are going to be

hauled the fuck in. But if you decide that, oh, you know what, we're running this marathon and I get to the twenty sixth mile and even though a full marathon is point two, I'm going to give up the fuck? How do it work? How does that work? And here's the thing that I've been thinking about too. I honestly believe sometimes that Democrats want to lose because you see, if you wanted to win, you wouldn't act like this, right.

I think that they like being in the minority so that they can wag their fingers and they can stomp their feet, and they can give the appearance and the performance of action. But then no one is going to hold them to account for what it is that they can and can't do, because they say, oh, my hands are tied behind my back. But when we get the majority back, then things will be different. Well, we gave

you the majority back. We didn't give you a supermajority, but we gave you the majority back, and you're still operating as if you are in the political minority, and you're not. You will be soon, and at that point we might as well just all, I don't know, look at the Constitution as some type of relic, because it's not going to be, you know, a living, breathing document. I find this all just so easy to put together. You know. Somebody said to me, you know, Danielle, I

don't just need rants, I need solutions. And I said, well, here's a solution. Here's a couple of things that I believe can actually happen and should happen. Right one, I believe that the ones Excommission should refer right Donald Trump and company to the Department of Justice. I believe that then Merritt Garland should openly begin to indict all of those that are responsible, from Eastman to Bannon to fucking

Meadows to Trump. Right open up an investigation into Jinny Thomas to see whether or not we have a compromised Supreme Court Justice. Reminder, the lone dissenter on whether or not Trump should be forced to release his records because guess whose number was going to show up his wives. We need to act as if we are at war. So that's number one. Number two is a full blown messaging campaign, right, and I mean taking on the lies about critical race theory, taking on the lies about pedophilia. Right.

So here's the thing. If you're talking about critical race theory and I my response wouldn't be critical race theories and isn't taught in the schools and blah blah blah. It would be why are you so afraid of history outside of the lens of six white men? What is it that terrifies you about people of color and queer people in this country? What is it that terrifies you

about talking about gender equity? Right? Force Republicans on the defensive. Right, Force them to explain to the American people why they don't want your kids learning anything other than Columbus discovered America, which we all know is a fucking lie. Make them tell you that no one else's story outside of six

white men matter. Make them explain it, right. Don't just think that you're going to ignore this and that somehow it's going to go away, or oh as Democrats left to say, we don't want to provide oxygen to this bitch. They got oxygen tanks on, right. They are funneling this shit in the way they do in fucking Vegas right now. So deciding that you're just going to ignore reality from

happening doesn't mean that reality ceased to exist. That's on critical race theory as it goes with these don't say gay bills, Oh, I don't know, once again putting them on the defensive. So if you're so right, you so activated against pedophilia, why are you harboring so many sexual predators within the Republican Party? And I would start with, you know Matt Gates, who is under in investigation for sex trafficking and sex with a fucking minor. I said

this on woke Wednesday. Daily Coast has a thirty part investigative series. They are running a list and it has thirty parts naming republic Republican sexual predators and enablers and traffickers, thirty parts. That's not just one bad apple, right, that is something that is has become endemic within the Republican Party. So when you have this group deciding that they are going to start referring to Democrats as groomers, right, saying that their anti gay bills are these anti groomer bills.

Grooming language is what you use for pedophiles, right, because they groom. They're victims. And this is what is being said about Democrats right now. I would throw it back in their fucking faces, have them defend all of the Republican sexual predators that they have within their party. Oh, but we don't want to. We don't want to what we don't want to fight fire with fire again, believing that somehow by ignoring these problems they are going to

go away. No, they don't go away. They actually become members of Congress like Lauren Bobert, like Marjorie Taylor Green, like fucking Madison Crawford, like Josh Holly. Right, that's what they're doing. Ignoring them does not make the problem go away. So number two is that messaging campaign Number three, fucking erase student loan debt and stop kicking the can down

the road. People have had student loan debt deferment and pause for the last two years, right, you know the kind of economic catastrophe and burden this debt has on forty five million plus Americans. Relieve it. Then you will get young people, right as well as older Americans that are in these debt end jobs solely why so that they can pay back their student loans. What would happen to our economy. Right, if people did not have this burden of debt over them, it shouldn't be this hard.

It honestly should not be this difficult to get this administration to do the right thing. This is what people voted for. This is what the people wanted. They wanted change, They wanted to feel like they had people that were fighting for them, that we're on their side, and not just in slogan only, but that we're going to back it up with policy. And when you can't get policy done because you have a juggernaut inside of Congress, then you use the executive orders, but you turn it into

a messaging campaign. Look, Republicans don't want to help the American people. They haven't wanted to do that. They are the Party of No, and have been for the last decade plus. So paint them that way. Don't refer to them as your friend, don't refer to them as your colleague. They are anti democracy, they are anti patriotism. Tell the people who they are so that when they are making their decisions in the voting booth come seven months from now, it is clear that anybody within our next to their

name isn't for democracy. So that you don't fall for the ropeadope, you don't fall for Trump light in a vest because instead of saying that he is, you know, an outright racist, right and I don't want to talk about people from shiitthhole countries. Instead of recognizing that, right, understand that they're going to use all of this smooth language parental control. Parents should have control. Of course, parents

are going to agree call out their bullshit. It really is not that hard to do, but we continue to believe that it is impossible, and it's not. We have so much work ahead, and I would say, like, folks, you know, roll up your sleeves, like we got to do this. But I'm tired, and I know that if I am tired, you all are tired too. And I'm like, I want somebody who is supposed to be the leader of the Freish world. Tell us what I'm rolling up my sleeves to do. Tell me who I'm rolling up

my sleeves to fight for, you know. And again, this desire for bipartisanship is going to be the death of us, because you know, when Republicans are in power, they're not looking for anybody's bipartisanship. They are fucking steamrolling this bitch. So why can't we do the same and know that we are actually on the side of right. Why do we have to be compelled to bring these motherfuckers along who are outwardly showing you that they don't believe in

collaboration or coordination. They believe in authoritarianism. They want only their voters to be able to vote, and that is it. They are telling you everything that you need to know, but we keep wanting them to be better. They're not. They are not. And I know one of the biggest things you know of the last couple of weeks was the fact that we could say, oh, Judge Katangi Brown Jackson was confirmed through bipartisanship because three three Republicans voted

for her. That's not a win, folks. It should be an embarrassment to the Republican Party. But instead of Democrats using that as a point to say, this woman is impeccable. If you look at her record against any Supreme Court justice that has been confirmed in the last ten years, she is above reproach. So explain to me the reason why Republicans wouldn't vote for her outside of the fact that she is black and a woman. But we didn't

do that either. It's time to stop playing games right and actually start playing politics and realize that we need to play to win because we're not going to get a second chance. That is it for me today, Dear friends on wokea app, as always, Power to the people and to all the people power, get woke and stay woke as fuck.
