Good morning, peeps, and welcome to wok F Daily with Meet your Girl Daniel Moody, recording from the Home Bunker. Folks, it's been a week and we've made it through. So wherever you are a pause, pat yourselves on the back because you absolutely fucking deserve it. Because my god, y'all, America's credit rating was downgraded from triple A to double

A plus, inflation is creeping back up. In sadder and more devastating news, Maui is being destroyed by wildfires, and as of the time of this recording, thirty six people are reported dead. Hundreds have been evacuated into shelters. People were jumping into the ocean to outrun the fires. Whose you know, range has been exacerbated because of the wind,

hurricane like winds and all of these things. And folks, you know, I tweeted this and I posted on social I just I feel like, if we are, if this country, if this world right exists fifty one hundred years from now, I believe that they are going to be folks who look at these headlines, look back at the footage, look through the archaeological digs of social media, and are just like everything was pointing towards destruction. They had the opportunity

to stop this, why didn't they? And that's going to be the question, right, I mean, thankfully, they'll be hopefully audio and podcast that say exactly why nothing was stopped, right because greed, capitalism, denial. You know. I think about what is ravishing through uh Maui in Hawaii, and I think about the fact that ignorance is really fucking expensive. Right.

Just to pretend that climate change isn't a thing that is affecting people in real time is expensive because that rebuild is going to cost billions and billions of dollars. People's lives, their livelihood forever ruined. Right, And this is happening everywhere. I reported on this show that you have states like California and Florida that are saying that we're no longer going to offer homeowners insurance. Right that you have some of the biggest insurance companies saying we're not

going to offer insurance anymore because of climate change. It's just not a good bet for us because the storms and the tornadoes and all of these things, the landslides, they're getting worse and worse. So leaving those people in those states right to just be fucked. And the thing is is that we think that this is just gonna happen in Florida and in California, and it's not. Right. There was a I interviewed someone the other day in

Pennsylvania and there was a tornado warning in Philly. Right, So, these places where we thought that we were safe because they were not the traditional tornado or hurricane alley, these places that we thought would never be touched by earthquake, by any of these quote unquote natural disasters are now in Mother Nature's wake because Mother Nature is pissed. We saw during the few short months of quarantine, waters turn back to clear, vegetation come back, animals come back, right,

the air get cleaner. So it is not as herculean as a lift as we think. It is just corporations and leaders of the highest polluting countries deciding that and recognizing that we only have but one fucking planet. Right, So you can do as many SpaceX and as many Virgin Atlantic Galactica and as many fucking flights into outer space that you would like, but write the fuck now, there's no place else to go when this place is

entirely up in fucking smoke. So maybe we want to take action that preserves humanity and vegetation and our air and our water for another fucking generation or two. It's just an idea. And so you know, on this fucking Friday, I just am saying fuck it to all of these world leaders that gather get together, do a lot of hobnobbing, a lot of shaking hands, a lot of taking of pictures,

and not a fucking thing that matters. Every day there is another headline in another country about historic flooding, historic fires, historic typhoons, historic hurricanes that are raging out of fucking control, killing people, destroying land, masks, and property into the billions of dollars. We cannot afford to pretend that this isn't happening anymore, that climate change is something that is going to happen in the future. It is happening every fucking day.

So you know, when we look at these pictures, it isn't just enough to gasp and say, oh, thank god, it's not me, or isn't that so terrible. It's like it's coming to you. Climate change and action on climate change needs to be just as fucking important as abortion, just this fucking important as criminal justice reform just as important as saving our democracy. And at the core of all it is just fucking greed. That's what's so sick. Name.

It's not like we don't have the tools or the skills or the innovation to figure out what it is that we need to do. We know all of the things that we need to do. There's no fucking will. So it's like fifty years from now, one hundred years from now, of whatever is left of this planet and whoever is left here is gonna be like the fuck were they doing? Like how could you just not care? How could you just not see the signs or just

choose to ignore it? So moving on in good news, which we don't get too often on this show, but in good news, shout out to the Ohioans. Shout out to Ohio for doing the goddamn thing and saving right democracy in that state. What Republicans we're doing, we're trying to do is rush through a special election that would have changed the state's constitution, increasing the ability to change

the constitution from fifty plus one to sixty votes. There was no justification and reasoning for this other than to not enshrine abortion access into their Constitution, which is coming up for a separate vote in November. So here's the thing that people are starting to get fucking hiptoo, is that it is not enough for the Republicans to have overturned Rob Wade. It is not enough for then these red state governors to have triggered laws that would criminalize

bodily autonomy for women and people with uteruses. Now they say, oh, it's we leave it up to the states. This is what the Supreme Court said, Oh, we're gonna leave it up to the states. Well, the states then in turn have to leave it up to the people to vote. The people have voted, and in Ohio they're like, ooh, we don't like your vote, so we're just gonna nullify it.

And this is what the Republicans do. This is their mo And the thing that I want folks to realize here too, is this democracy, right, The idea of democracy, one person, one vote, people government foreign by the people has in fact been a fantasy in this country for those that are not white cis hetero men. Why do I say that, because voter suppression laws and jerrymandering are not new. It was just that for centuries, right, it was targeted at black people, and then at young people,

and then at Latino people. And now what the Republican Party is doing with their massive fucking overreach is deciding that, oh no, no, it's not enough for us to just suppress and marginalize these people that don't look like us, don't pray like us, don't love like us. No, it's not enough. Now they are coming for white people's votes too and their voice. And now white folks in America are like, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, what's you talking about.

This is still America. I'm still wearing my old Navy flag shirt, right, I put my hand on my heart for the Pledge of Allegiance. And you're telling me now that you're going to take away my vote, my voice, my ability to vote for people to represent me. So now Republicans are stepping on the toes and the votes and the voices of white Americans, which is what we saw happen in Ohio. This wasn't just about abortion. Abortion was not on the ballot and will not be on

the ballot until November of this year. What was on the ballot was their state constitution and what Republicans had this actually work, This fucking scooby Doo hijinks that they were trying to pull. Had it worked, then this would have been a domino effect and other states around the country.

Let us just change the constitution. If the Supreme Court gave states the ultimate control over women and people with uteruses bodies, then all we have to do to enshrine that is to make sure that we suppress the will of the people. Because here's the thing. Anti abortion laws

and policies are unfucking popular. A majority of people in this country believe in bodily autonomy, and when they hear more and more stories horrifying stories of women being near death of losing fertility altogether because doctors are too afraid to operate on them in a way that would save their lives, They're starting to think, like, wait, what did

we do here? And so now you want us to give you the keys to the kingdom where you can lock everybody else out and only let in those that want donate to your campaigns or pray the way you like, love the way you like, sit the way you like. Republicans have been doing this, like I said, for generations, but now it's actually affecting white people, and I think

that this is where they crossed the line. So what does it mean now that we have seen action taken in Ohio, in Kansas, in Wisconsin, in Michigan with voters being like, yeah, nah, this ain't it. Mm hmm, you're autocratic, fascistic, you know, fantasies and desires. No, no, no, actually we don't want this. It means that we may have a fighting chance to actually save our democracy, that this could in fact be the right kind of foreshadowing that we've needed.

That over the last year since Roe has been overturned, we have seen in states where they have tried to put up some of the most egregious laws, we've seen voters be like, miss me with it. And I think that Republicans are continuing to overplay their fucking hand. They think folks are not paying attention. Oh it's summer. They had close to midterm election turnout in Ohio. People are not gonna willingly give the way, their rights and their voice to this party that has no values, has no morals,

and has no direction for the country. So to me, it's fucking wild. But I do have some hopefulness because I do believe that Republicans are overplaying their fucking hand and oh to mention, they're also backing a criminal for president of the United States. So, as of the time of this recording, Special Council Jack Smith and his team have provided to Judge Chunkin in DC, the judge that

will be overseeing the insurrection January sixth case. They had to provide by midnight their decision on when they think that this case should go to trial. Trump's attorneys will have seven days now to file when they think that the case should go to trial, and on August twenty eighth, the judge will make her decision and we will have a date for Trump's trial. So let me tell you, Jack Smith, you know he is not playing games. And had Merrick Garland not been a fucking jellyfish slaw he

would appointed Jack Smith on day fucking one. Because when we realized that Merrick Garland was not going to have the temerity to actually get the fucking job done and that he was going to push it off to somebody else. Just imagine where this country would be right now if when Merrick Garland was sworn in as Attorney General in twenty twenty one, had he appointed Jack Smith from the

fucking jump to open up investigations into Donald Trump. It took Jack Smith ten months, eight to ten months to go through and push out indictments in the document's case and in the January sixth insurrection. So we would have been ten months from the fucking insurrection and Donald Trump would have been indicted before the fucking twenty twenty four election.

But because according to the New York Times reporting, we know that Merrick Garland didn't do dick for a year, and it wasn't until Donald Trump then announced that he was going to run for office again that he was like, oh, well, now I need to appoint a special counsel this motherfucker. Nonetheless, Jack Smith's team proposes January second, happy fucking New Year, twenty twenty four for the trial date. Now, of course this is I think somebody had said that it is

about two weeks before the Republican primary begins. So of course his team is going to push back, and I'm certain that they're going to push for a date that is right after the election. Like they'll say, oh, it doesn't make any sense, we need to have a date right after the election. Assuming Donald Trump wins and then this all goes away, so we'll see Jack Smith's team is going to push for the beginning of the year. Donald Trump's team is probably gonna push for whatever November ninth,

twenty twenty four. Right, it will be up to the judge when this actually goes to trial. I pray to God that it happens the first quarter of the year. Jack Smith's team is proposing a four to six week trial. We know that selecting jurors is going to be, you know, a lengthy process. We will see, we will see how this goes. But it is you know, the signals are

coming forward that nobody is playing games anymore. Speaking of not playing games, Fannie Willis is set to announce her indictment for what folks are saying is about a dozen pluss motherfuckers involved in the overturning of the election, the fake electors in Georgia. And Donald Trump has most recently and fuck it to that piece of crap who launched the most racist, fucking video against Fannie Willis. And I keep saying this, I say it on all my shows.

Shutting the fuck up is free, and Donald Trump just refuses refuses to fucking do it, so releases this horrible video accusing Fannie willis of all of these things that

are meritless, baseless, just fucking lies. And what I am saying is, given what we just saw happen in Utah with the FBI needing to kill someone that was attempting to assassinate the President of the United States, that Fannie Willis, Alvin Bragg, James and the rest of them need to file charges against Donald Trump for defamation, for threatening all of these fucking things because he is doing his best

to try and get these people killed. And I'm so sick and tired right of folks saying, well, we don't know if we can really connect the rhetoric to this, that and the other thing. It's like, are we all dumb? Because Jack Smith is going to connect the fucking dots to us with the insurrection and the fact that it wouldn't have happened had Donald Trump not called people down to the Capitol, told them that the shit was going to be wild and then go tell them to take

their country back. Words fucking matter, and people should be held accountable for what it is that they say, plain and fucking simple, folks. That is it for my list on this fuck it Friday. We are headed into next week, which is going to be, to quote Donald Trump, wild because I believe that when Fine Willis announces who those indictments are, we going to see a lot of names we fucking know, uh and when that trial will happen, Lord only knows. But Donald Trump and his legal team, Boy,

are they fucking busy. I wonder if he's paying them. I guess he's paying them with this PAC money, because you know we pay strippers with that too. Apparently that is it for me today, dear friends on wolf A f as always, Power to the people and to all the people. Power, get woke and stay woke as fuck.

And for my patrons who are watching this video right now, tell me in the comments section who you are saying fucking to this week on fuck It Friday, And for all other folks, please hit me up on the socials and tell me who you are saying fucking to this week. I appreciate each and every single one of you. I hope that you have a RESTful, piece full, blissful, joy centered weekend and I will see you back here on Monday.
