Good morning, Keep Send. Welcome to ok F Daily with Meet your Girl Daniel Moody recording from the Home Bunker. So, folks, it is Woke Wednesday. And what I launched last week was a Woke Wednesday that was a little more formulaic in terms of covering stories that I think are really

important and running through them with you. So Woke Wednesdays are going to be top three stories that I think that folks should be woke to and having conversations about on your own social media platforms with your own friends, colleagues, et cetera. And so I want to start off today's Woke Wednesday with sharing quickly the feelings that I've been having. If you're following me on social media, which I know that many of you do, you know, the weeks and

the days are getting very long. And I don't just mean our move towards spring here, I mean just the constant, just pounding of bad news. And I want to encourage everyone that even as I go through my feelings on social media about feeling hopeless, but you know, there are times when I feel hopeless as everybody else does, and so when you see that, don't think that I am like walking away from my work, not yet anyway, but

that I'm just exhausted, as many of us are. I just get fucking exhausted and overwhelmed, and it's usually a time when I need to take a absolute break. And so what in my break look like after the Supreme Courts news, It looked like watching the amazing Disney Plus animated series done by Kugali Media called Uwashu. And let me just tell you, if you are looking for just a little break, a little reprieve, watch this extraordinary little animated series. It's the first time that Disney has ever

partnered with an outside group, an outside media company. Kugali is the media company founded by three African men, two Nigerian men, and one Ugandan. And the story is about a wealthy Nigerian girl whose father is a tech billionaire in a futuristic Legos and it is extraordinary the way that it was done. It's inspiring, it's beautiful, and I just loved it so much. I don't have kids. I watched it because I wanted a break. So I say all that to say, go ahead and check that out,

all right. So that's a little good news if you're looking for a little reprieve from things. And also I think that the more people that watch it, the more that Disney will get the message that we want other stories, that we want other tales. The world is rich, the continent of Africa is rich, and this story and the curation and the music all done by people inside the

continent and it's just it's glorious. And then they follow up with a documentary on the making of it because it was a huge undertaking in the first time that Disney had ever done something like this. So anyway, Awaju Disney Plus check it out. I'm not getting paid for this. I just really loved it. All right. Now, let's get into the news. So what are the top three stories. Let's start off with what happened over the weekend in

Selma at the fifty ninth anniversary of Bloody Sunday. Bloody Sunday being the day when the late John Lewis among other civil rights leaders were beaten because they crossed the Edmund Pettish Bridge wanting to seek racial justice, equity, right to be treated with dignity and respect, and it was televised they were beaten bloody and it was one of

those inflection moments in the fight for civil rights. Now, what happens there on the fifty ninth anniversary, Well, Vice President Kamala Harris gives a speech where she calls for an immediate cease fire with a caveat of six weeks. And while her speech is getting a lot of attention won, there is controversy where what is being reported is saying that her speech was worded down by the administration. You know, right before she was to give it, that she had

harsher crittiques for Israel that were wordered down. Now, her office has pushed back in a statement and said that that was not the case, that what she offered was in alignment with what President Biden had said two days prior when he also called for a six week ceasefire. Folks, let me just take a breath. First of all, social media is really giving us a front view to genocide. We have now, according to the UN, have seen the death of a tenth child, the tenth Palestinian child to starvation.

That is ISRAELI made right. We are seeing pictures I've scrolled on social media to see the hollowed out dead faces of children come across my feed. And we are seeing the United States pat itself on the back for air dropping thirty eight thousand you know, meals for millions of people. Millions of people are in danger of starvation and dehydration, not to mention, you know, being bombed to pieces. But then the United States drops aid and wants to

be celebrated for that. But you're sending the money, our money to drop the bombs that are causing the IDF made famine in the first place. Are we in crazy town? Like what the fuck is happening? Right? Like? Are we in sane where you are both funding the aid and funding the war at the same time, and we're supposed to think that that shit is normal and not see

any hypocrisy in that or depravity in that. So when I heard the Vice President's speech on the fifty ninth anniversary of an inflection point in the civil rights movement, and I'm like, not only did I find it to be in poor taste, I'm gonna be honest because folks will tell me, oh, I'm coming to my senses because

I'm talking about Israel and Gaza. First of all, I've been talking about Israel and Gaza since the beginning of the war, which, by the way, is not actually a war, because the war is when two sides are fighting each other, not just one side committing humanitarian crises. Right. I don't see the Palestinian people having the same equipment AMMO or anything. I see them trying to fucking bake bread but being blown up or shocked to death because they're going to

humanitarian aid tents to get flower. So it's not a war. So let us be very clear about the language that is being used to make us believe that somehow there is some equal footing that is happening. There isn't. Thirty thousand people are dead and counting. So when the United States is calling for a six week cease fire, all they are doing is pressing pause on a fucking genocide.

Let us be real about that. So I'm not going to congratulate the administration for what doing what exactly, because if the Biden administration wanted to put an end to this fucking travesty, they could. They could get on the horn and tell Natanyahu, guess what, the fucking American gravy train that you've been slabbering up is over. It is done. You are getting no more aid, you are getting no more weapons, You are getting not a fucking thing until

the atrocities stop. How many more fucking stories do we have to see about these disgusting, idf fucking militants. The rape, the beatings, the posing with bodies and lingerie and all of these things that just show their lack of humanity. You want to tell me that that's just a few bad apples. Give me a fucking break. So, no, I'm not gonna pat the administration on the back for pulling some political theatrics just in time for the roundup of

the primaries. Give me a fucking break. You think we're stupid? So, you know, folks, I say this to say and then people are just like, so, then what you know? We're not gonna vote and we're not gonna do this, that and the other thing. No, but if you think that I'm going into the voting booth happy to vote for

Biden and Harris, no i am not. But I'm also not gonna put my life, my family's life, and all of your lives at risk by another Trump administration or any fucking Republican entering into the White House when they are telling us very clearly about what they're doing. But two things can be true at the same fucking time. Right, I'm not going to sit around and use my social media platform and my influence to smoke up people's ass or gas like them into thinking that somehow Biden is

assault of the fucking earth. Not when you are the reason why tens of thousands of fucking children are dead. But do I think that Donald Trump would be a good move? No, I do not. This is what it looks like to be between a rock and a fucking hard place. This is what it looks like when you are forced to make really hard, fucking choices that challenge your values, but you have enough common fucking sense to know that what is staring you in the face is your own demise And do you want to be a

party to that? Because you can't help anybody if you can't help yourself. So don't get it twisted when people see me commenting and i'llo so sharing videos and things on social media talking about I came to my fucking sensus. I've had sense switching gears the Supreme fucking Court. You know, on Monday, the Supreme Court issues are ruling via their website, by the way, because the courts were actually closed to

say that in a nine zip decision. Oh, Donald Trump can remain on the ballots in Colorado and in other states that tried to remove him because of the Constitution in the fourteenth Amendment that says that participation in a insurrection disallows you from the ballots. And apparently states rights only matter if you are a red state and you

are taking away the rights of your constituents. But if you are a blue or purple state and you were trying to uphold the Constitution, apparently actually just a step too far. Let me tell you something. One of our friends, Elie Mistel, wrote a piece for The Nation that says that the Supreme Court must be stopped, and I wholeheartedly agree. There is nothing supreme about the Supreme Court that is filled with fucking grifters right, that are filled with radical

right wing white supremacists right. And Clarence Thomas is absolutely a white supremacist. Don't get it twisted. Who are an unelected body that get to make rules and judgments for the rest of us, right, that get to decide who has bodily autonomy and who doesn't that get to decide. After fifty some years of affirmative action and trying to rebalance the scales of slavery and Jim Crow, oh you've gone a step too far. There's just too many successful

black and around people. I can't fucking stand the Supreme Court. I have lost all faith, hope, and respect for that body. And so this decision is not unlike the less bunches of decisions or what is coming at us in June, which is just more guns, less rights, less access, and

more white supremacy and patriarchy. That's what this is. And so like what pissons me off about America and Americans, I mean, the list is so long right now, but it's the fact that, like every other fucking country, as their rights are being violated and taken away, people just up and fucking get in the streets for however long

that it takes. And I don't know if it is that Americans are just so exhausted and overworked, are just so like aloof I don't know what it is, but this Supreme Court is fucking wrecking havoc on our democracy. I posted this week and I said, look, I just like I think that it's cruel for us to wait, have to be forced to wait until fucking November to find out that democracy is officially dead, right, Like I would just love I would love it if and to save the what's left of my nerves to just know

this ship is sailed. We're like on the Titanic and everything is just slipping away. But it's so slow, it's so goddamn painful. Right, I'm just like, I don't want death by a thousand cuts. I'm like, just off it already, right, just pull the plug on democracy so that we all just figure out what our next steps are. But this slow fucking role death that is happening right now, it

is exactly what Steve Bannon wanted. It is the flooding of the zone, the weakening of the spirit, the breaking of the heart, the lifting of the veil, the clearing of the rose colored glasses, like you name it. I can keep going. And then at the same time, my third story, right is France, France sitting back watching the United States and saying, you know what, we're not gonna do here. We're not even gonna play around. We're gonna

enshrine abortion into the constitution. We're not even going to waste time for there to be another right wing push in this country, which, by the way, there was because the wing, the fascists are on the rise, on the move. They're all the rage these days. It's just trend. Be like a motherfucker. And they said, so now we're not gonna play games, We're not gonna make assumptions because look at America. And so they just enshrined abortion into the constitution.

And I'm saying to myself, wow, this is really it. The rest of the world is looking at America and saying, oh, wow, America is really at the find out stage. They've been fucking around with everyone else's democracies, with everyone else's autonomy, with leadership, and moving people in and out of different countries and bombing these places and keeping quiet and all of those things. And now the right wing, the white supremacists,

the Christian fascists, have taken hold. And while America was looking down its nose at everyone else and saying, oh, look at their elections. Look how crazy these things are. Thank god, we're okay and safe. And now it's our turn, because America's empire is done right like it's been. Actually, twenty sixteen was the beginning of the end, and over the last eight years we have unraveled, backslid and are

in an essential free fall. And it was the Daily Beast that said recently that the Supreme Court just picked up where the January sixth mob left off. And those are facts. Right. We didn't want to believe Hillary Clinton but her emails, but this, that and the other thing she told us, whoever the next president is going to be of these United States, is going to control the Supreme Court. So any of the rights that you think that you have are going to be gone? Was she wrong?

So my feeling about America is that folks are still in this place of disbelief. It can't possibly happen here, but they're watching it day by day. Right, they're watching what happened in Oklahoma with the young non binary youth that succumbed to trauma of being beaten, right, and the Oklahoma governor not giving a fuck. He didn't lose his job. Right, he could come right out and say, we don't want

these people in our state. But we're looking at Ghana getting ready to pass new laws that say that you can't even say that you're gay without going to jail, and we say, oh my god, how archaic the fuck you think they get those rules from? Because white evangelical Christians do their dirty work in nations in Africa to

see how things will play out. Right, what is happening in Ghana is no different of what will happen in the United States and a Trump administration or a Hally administration or any Republican administration, they are telling you everything. They're gonna outlaw IVF, They're gonna outlaw being gay, They're gonna ban all of the books. They're gonna close down DEI,

They're gonna close down HBCUs. They're gonna close down any access to any money for any initiative that is not, gonna deny climate change, gonna rid the country of child labor laws, going to get rid of unions. I just talked about a law the other day in Kentucky that they're trying to put in place that would make it okay for employers to no longer provide lunch breaks or rest breaks. This is what the Republican Party is doing.

So yes, can I start out at the top of the show cursing the Biden administration out and saying that they are putting us between a rock and a hard place. Apps, So fucking lutey do I also know what the fuck the Republican Party is doing apps fucking lutey. Two things can be true at the same time. I can absolutely be disgusted with the Biden administration's actions in Israel, and I can absolutely know that we are in the midst

of an existential crisis. And do I think that if, if, if, by the grace of God, Biden is re elected in November, do I think that we are safe and clear. Absolutely not. I don't think that we'll ever be safe or clear again, because unless somebody wants to actually take control and say, you know what, the Department of Justice is opening up an investigation into the Supreme Court. You know what, We're not only going to try and convict the footshoulders of

the insurrection, but we're going after members of Congress. You know what. That We're going to pave the way for the Justice Department to take down Donald Trump and then go after all of his sick offens, all of the people that aided and abetted his crime spree. Like, unless you're going to go to the root of the rot, you can just expect a new crop every few fucking years. So all the election re election of Joe Biden will do is bias time unless we're willing to use that

time to get to the rot. That's the question that we have to ask ourselves. But understand again that we are absolutely between a rock and a hard place. The decisions that we make in the next several months are going to affect the next several generations. What will it be? That? Is it for me? Today? Dear friends on wokf as all power to the people and to all the people power, Get woke and stay woke as fuck. M.
